Katie and her team were absolutely amazing! She was there for us for everything. Her communication and professionalism was top notch. She was there for every question, dress fitting, and issue along the way. Sherrie was the team leader on my wedding day and she was amazing. We felt supported throughout the day and I knew I could count on Sherrie and Katie. Katie is wonderful and will take care of your every need before you even think about it! She is the best at anticipating what you might need/want and handling it so you don't have to stress about it. She did so much for us behind the scenes that made the day run smoothly. She coordinates with vendors, helps makes sure that YOU are the priority, and will be there all night to catch any little hiccups that might arise.

I have no idea where to even begin! Katie and her team are 100% responsible for making our wedding day the absolute best day of our lives!! Everyone always warned me to be prepared for something to go wrong day of, but not a single thing did! Katie made it very clear that there were never any stupid questions, and immediately tackled anything we threw at her. She even got on the dance floor with us! We love that she isn't the type of person to just agree with anything you say, but gave us her real opinions on things that were iffy. We will never be able to thank her enough for everything that she has done for us, and are so grateful to be able to look back on our wedding day as the best day ever!

So happy with Katie & her team!! This review has been long overdue, but I wanted to make sure I was able to take the time and fit in everything. I hired A Lively Event for my wedding in May 2022. We are from NYC and our wedding took place in Lake George. We knew the expectations our guests were going to have, and my husband and I are very particular people. Katie and her team saved the day numerous times…she was able to secure a DJ panel just DAYS before the wedding because it was never communicated via the DJ company that we weren’t getting a full panel to hide the equipment. She pinned my dress up perfectly when a guest stepped on my bustle and ripped to big holes in the back of my dress…after she pinned it you couldn’t even tell! Her team set up and moved décor items just the way we discussed and how I envisioned it. Our dance floor broke apart and she was able to help us through that situation until it got fixed. Katie and her team didn’t leave the venue until 1:30 am when my car was fully and neatly packed with everything we had to take home the next morning. I’m very grateful we hired her and her team. Although the venue provided many event staff…there was no way we could’ve survived without A Lively Event. She understood the crowd and had a since of urgency with every hiccup…immediately tending to any situation (some I didn’t even know of!). She handled everything and everyone with grace and communicated everything to me calmly with a solution already in place. I would hire her all over again and you should too!! You will not be disappointed.

I could write a novel with all of the praise I have for A Lively Event. I am a self-professed lunatic with control issues and I knew I had two choices on my wedding day: worry about every little thing, be late to the ceremony because I was bossing everyone else around, bask in the stress and not enjoy a moment OR completely surrender myself, hand over the reins to someone else, and be fully present in every moment on my big day. I chose the latter and Katie was the Queen that stepped in and handled EVERYTHING. We booked the month of coordination package with A Lively Event and for the 6 weeks before our wedding, Katie held all my seams together, guiding me through those last hectic weeks. She wrangled all our vendors, arranged the wedding timeline, coordinated that timeline with everyone else, and had everyone where they needed to be when they needed to be there. She guided our first-time officiant through everything he needed to do. She dealt with our disappearing groomsmen, kept the moms content and at ease, handled our décor set up, handled clean up, and had all the items we brought to the venue packed up and loaded into the car at the end of the night so the only thing that we had to do was walk out the door. Katie ran a seamless event for us. She asked all the right questions, knew all of our requests and preferences, and had all the information she needed to make all the right decisions and calls for us on our wedding day. She knew what I did and did not want and made sure I worried about NOTHING on my wedding day. Katie is a phenomenal wedding planner and coordinator and more importantly, she is a wonderful person. If I could get married twice I would do it just to hire her a second time and spend more time with her! Hire her and trust her and her team with your big day, you won’t regret it.

Katie was exactly what we were looking for in a coordinator for our big day! She was super organized and communicative with us and all of our vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding. I could trust her to give her honest and professional opinions, but she was also so respectful of all of the choices we made throughout our process, whether we went with her recommendations or not. I had complete trust that she would execute everything according to plan the day of the wedding. She even helped include our two dogs into our ceremony and everything went perfectly. Katie, we cannot thank you enough for being the MVP of our wedding weekend!!

As my Husband puts it, Katie was hands down the best money that we spent during our wedding weekend (which for context was roughly a $100K affair so that’s high praise!). We hired her for the month of coordination package (which starts 6 weeks before the date) for our June 2022 wedding at Stablegate Barn and from the second we had our first call with her I felt like I could let out a sigh of relief. Not only was she SUPER helpful with all of her coordination leading up to the event, I literally don’t know how the day of would have gone without her. She was meticulous and was able to really help our vision come to life. She handled all of the coordination to make the day feel seamless and really let us enjoy the day because we knew that if there was anything wrong, Katie would handle it, and she did. I can’t imagine our wedding weekend without her, she was our coordinator but she was also so much more than that, she was a therapist, she was my dress adjuster, she was a guest shuffler, a schedule keeper, a problem fixer and a last minute errand queen. Hire Katie, you will be so so happy that you did!

My husband Alex and I got married in June of 2022 at Taconic Ridge Farm and we are so THANKFUL to have chosen Katie/A Lively Event for our day-of (but it was realistically MONTHS of help honestly) coordination. Katie was so warm and on top of everything and even reached out to us months in advance when our original venue had a fire to help us find a new one. She truly went above and beyond (she even lit our bonfire for us at the end of the night!) and I swear that if she was not there the entire event would have fallen apart!! Katie was the wedding planner for our August ‘21 wedding at 60 State and we couldn’t have been happier with her services. Katie helped plan the timeline for our day and met with us in person before the wedding along with a few phone calls to go over final details. Katie is a true professional - very knowledgeable, experienced and friendly which helped put us at ease as we approached the day of our wedding. Along with her assistant Amanda, Katie worked well with our wedding party and other vendors, who all had a lot of fun working with Katie and Amanda. Katie was amazing! We went with her for the last 2 months leading up to our big day and she was so organized and made us feel at ease. We live 3 hours from the venue and from where Katie lives but our line of communication was on point. Unfortunately, Katie was in another wedding on the day of ours but she was able to send her mom, Audrey, to be the point during our wedding day. Audrey was also very organized and so sweet! Katie and her team were incredible! We started planning our wedding while we were still living abroad, and Katie was extremely organized and helpful the whole way through. On the day, she was fantastic, helped with setup and breakdown, was always available when we needed her, and managed the other vendors very well. She somehow managed to be in a hundred places at once and made sure we were able to enjoy our entire day without having to worry about any of the little details. Katie is a superstar at what she does, and we really can't recommend her enough!

Katie was an incredible weekend coordinator! A couple of traits stood out to me: 1) We wanted a funky, fun, and unstuffy summer camp wedding weekend. I so appreciated the Katie always got this vision and didn’t try to force ideas on us that weren’t aligned. 2) My husband and I both have big, loud, and opinionated families. Katie kept the peace masterfully and shielded us from SO MUCH the whole weekend. I literally didn’t have to deal with any family drama and that is priceless. 3) Even though I’m a fairly detail oriented person, I forgot to do some pretty big things day of (I blame stress and lack of sleep!) Katie and her team stepped in masterfully to do things like finishing the name cards for tables that I had TOTALLY forgotten about and they did it with a smile. If you feel like you’re organized enough to have a wedding without a coordinator or planner, trust me - you aren’t. Especially if you have a funky wedding that folks aren’t used to! Katie and her team were all smiles all weekend and I highly recommend a Lively Event!

Katie is an absolute ROCKSTAR. There are not enough incredible words to describe the amazing work she put into our wedding. My husband and I were planning our Vermont wedding while living in Australia, which was not an easy task. We got Katie on board 18 months before the wedding and it was the best decision we ever made. She was so patient in helping us find a venue and ended up finding the perfect spot after months of searching. Having someone so knowledgeable helping me plan was exactly what I needed to help me get through it all. Katie answered endless questions and was always happy to hop on FaceTime at 6am! When it came finally came to the wedding weekend I couldn’t have been more grateful for having Katie and her team there. She truly does whatever it takes to make your big day as special as possible. She’s there when all of your table cloths come wrinkled, when you have to get 50 people across a lake by boat for the rehearsal and when you forgets your vows on the other side of the property just before the ceremony. She saved the day so many times and kept her calm every minute of it. I never had to stress about a thing because I knew she was always two steps ahead. Our wedding truly would not have been the same without her. I cannot recommend Katie, of A Lively Event, enough. She will make your wedding planning a breeze and your big day magical!

One of our guests put it perfectly- our wedding was the wedding every girl dreams of but could never pull off. My fiance and I were able to soak in every moment, and be 100% present on our wedding day, because we didn't have to worry about a thing. Katie was a dream to work with- answered all of my emails and texts and had everything covered before I even asked. It sounds crazy, but our wedding day was one of the least stressful days of our lives because Katie and team had everything under control- if anything went wrong I didn't even know about it because Katie already took care of it. Katie helped us plan our perfect wedding, and helped us identify where to save money (ice luge in 90 degree heat? not worth it). Our wedding took place at Hayfield in Maplecrest NY, and Katie worked with all of our vendors to plan a seamless event without a hitch. The next morning, my fiance and I went to the venue to pick up a few things and Katie + team had everything packed up and cleaned up for us. We literally did not have to worry about a thing. If you're looking to be stress-free on your wedding day and not worry about a thing- Katie is your girl.

I am thrilled to write this glowing review for Katie Hamuka and her team at A Lively Event. My daughter recently got married and we were lucky enough to hire Katie about 6 weeks before the wedding date. As the MOB, I spent countless hours, over a year in advance, in planning every detail for my only daughter’s fairy tale wedding. As we got closer to the wedding, I realized that I was unsure how all of the details and moving parts were going to be executed. I quickly became overwhelmed. My daughter, however, became adamant about hiring a day-of wedding planner to help execute those details. I wasn’t fully on board, but I went along with it. As I look back on the success of the wedding day, I am sure that it would have been a very different day if we did not have Katie and her team. The month before my daughter’s wedding, my mantra was, “We will have Katie do that.” Honestly, I don’t know how she did it, but she didn’t miss a beat!! Katie and her team covered 4 different locations throughout the day and night that included the details and itinerary for a bridal party of 18 people and a guest list of 200 people, all on a very rainy day. The church and reception venues required a lot of pre set-up, as well as take-down at the end of a very late night- both of which Katie had a big hand in. She is skilled at anticipating the needs of the day and then acting. Katie worked beyond expectation with a top-notch work ethic, lots of smiles and positive thoughts for everyone, in a sweet and extremely likeable, take-charge manner. Katie planned with my daughter and I, as well as the other vendors, in advance to carry out our vision for the day. She is extremely trustworthy and honest, and I always felt that Katie truly cared as much as I did about making my daughter’s wedding a once in a lifetime event. Throughout the planning process, everyone kept telling me that I had to enjoy the wedding day, as it would go by very quickly and it would hold precious memories that I didn’t want to miss. Katie was truly the key to my being able to fully take in the day. I didn’t know how much I needed Katie, or how much she would influence the day, until I hired her. She will not disappoint, and you will be so happy if you hire the team at A Lively Event.

What a great experience! Our bride, Julie, was quite anxious about having everything fall into place. That’s where Katie and her staff came in. All emails, texts, and calls were responded to immediately! Katie also mediated between the bride and vendors, ensuring that Julie’s needs were met and, often exceeded. On the day of the wedding, things went so smoothly. Her staff even had a needle and thread on hand, so when the Father of the Groom lost a suit jacket button, it was immediately repaired. It was great to have someone else take care of details, so we could truly enjoy and adsorb the day. Katie and her staff were kind, professional, and thoughtful. They provide an invaluable service and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

When I saw the option to review as a fellow professional, I was so excited and had to take the opportunity. Katie is an amazing planner. She gets every detail done and is fun to work with to boot! She even helped me set up some of the formal photos I needed to get done. Should a stressful situation arise, she is right there, extremely helpful and calmly steps into action to solve it. Katie was extremely helpful and made the whole wedding process so stress-free and easy. We thought we had everything planned and under control until the month before the wedding. We had last minute DIY projects to complete every night after work and did not have time to worry about confirming with vendors and answering all their questions about details and etc. We were in desperate need of help! I saw an ad for A Lively Event on Facebook and decided to reach out to see if she was available on our wedding date and the cost. We purchased the Day-Of Package and it was the BEST thing we could have ever done (even my hubby agrees and he was totally against the idea of a wedding planner at first)! My husband and I wish we hired Katie from the very beginning. She is an excellent investment. Not only is she a huge help with wedding planning- she also comes with so many connections with other vendors, and ideas for setup. It was so nice to have someone there on the wedding day to deal with all the small details that you don't want to worry about on your big day. She always made sure that I looked good before every photo was taken and she even let me keep my lip gloss in her back pocket for touch ups (which was very helpful)! If we could change anything it would be booking Katie earlier in the wedding planning process. Katie is an excellent person inside and out and my husband and I can not thank her enough for everything!! Do yourself a favor and BOOK with Katie!!!

Without A Lively Event, our 200+ person wedding would not have been the perfect day that it was! Katie was easy (and fun) to work with, and had tips/tricks that cannot be found on the big wedding blogs across the internet. I live in MA, so I appreciated that she accepted PayPal as means of payment, and was accommodating to communication mostly via email and phone call. Quick anecdote: At the beginning of our reception, my husband and I realized that we forgot to bring snacks for our after party, Katie took the lead on ordering pizzas later in the evening and stayed later than she was scheduled to, to make sure everything turned out okay. We would book Katie again in a heartbeat. Thank you for your enthusiasm, professionalism, and attention to detail!

I can't say enough about Katie with A Lively Event. She is simply wonderful. My husband and I planned a lot of our wedding and hired Katie mostly for the day of. She went above and beyond for us and was available to us whenever we had a thought or concern. The stress got to me... I won't lie. Planning a wedding is not easy and shouldn't be stressful but a lot of uncontrollable factors came into play that made things a bit more stressful and I honestly wished I hired her for the whole process. She was always there even lending an ear. The day of our wedding went so smoothly and even though I forgot my husbands cuff links she made it work. We were short a boutonnière and she made that work and you wouldn't have even known. When I couldn't make up my mind she was there, when things were stressing me out she was there. She was not only a wedding coordinator for us but ended up as a good friend. So thank you A Lively Event for making our wedding so memorable and special.
