A Particular Event

Egna was my day-of coordinator when my husband and I had our vow renewal at Oak Tree Manor (OTM) 3 weeks ago. Egna is OTM's preferred vendor, so if you plan on getting married at OTM, then you NEED Egna as your coordinator! They are the dynamic duo that make things happen on your wedding day! Egna had the day running flawlessly from start to finish with communicating with the other vendors, with the bridal party, setting up the reception space, making sure we stayed with the timeline, and even could read the room well if she felt like certain things needed to be extended or shorted. She put the boutonnieres and corsages onto the bridal party and family. I had very simple DIY florals, centerpieces, and place cards, so she set those up for me free of charge, even though she typically charges extra for the service. OTM and Egna had a Friday wedding before our Saturday vow renewal, so Egna even threw in some extra baby's breath for the ceremony aisle and for our sweetheart table free of charge. There was hardly any cleanup left to do at the end of the night because Egna was on top of everything and worked so well with everyone at OTM and my vendors. She was also there to remind me and my husband to EAT! We definitely wouldn't have eaten very much between all the activities and mingling and dancing if it weren't for her reminding us. We had our wedding October 15, 2022. Egna was our day of coordinator. Egna was also our florist. It was absolutely a pleasure working with Egna & A ParticularEvent. She is readily available to meet with you to discuss any concerns and planning. We are very much in person kind of people and every time I asked to schedule a meeting she was always willing and that was appreciated because we didn't want any extra stress and I never felt stressed while working with Egna and her staff. Egna is very personable, professional, experienced, prompt, organized and has an eye for detail. She is respectful of budgets and a wonderful listener. She drove out to my venue to sit in all of our tastings & meetings which shows her level of care. Everyone including our bridal party & wedding guest complimented how wonderful she is and loved her super positive energy. Egna is so fabulous and great!! She was so kind and patient with me and I decided (and often changed my mind) what I wanted. She schedule FaceTime calls, was very easy to get in touch with, and was full of great ideas. She was incredible to work with and very fairly priced. What would I have done without Egna? She was AMAZING at coordinating my wedding. I don't think she gets enough credit for all her hard work. First, Egna is very professional and responsive. Egna was so wonderful to work with. I reached out to her last-minute (literally a month before my wedding date) for dusty rose napkins and floral arrangements and she responded right away to set up a Zoom call immediately. She was very sweet during the call and since I live in Austin and couldn’t go in person to the showroom, she showed me every single item and color palettes I wanted to look at over video and even tried to give size references to help with my decisions. She was also so patient with me when I kept going back and forth on centerpieces after the Zoom call and proposals were received. The day of, the floral arrangements we received looked so beautiful and fresh and were reasonably priced compared to other vendors! I hired Egna as my day of coordinator and it was definitely worth it! I had no idea, being a first time bride, all the details and extra things needed to make the wedding of my dreams. She far surpassed my expectations and was always so helpful and easy to get ahold of when anything arose. We had a short engagement so a lot was needed to be done in a short period of time and she was there from the first meeting till the day of always on top of everything! Egna was a complete life saver to my wedding! My previous wedding coordinator quit 2 months before my wedding without any explanation! Egna was recommended by the venue staff. My daughter and I met with her and decided to use her as the wedding day coordinator, florist, and decorator. Egna was FABULOUS! Egna was wonderful for preparing us for the wedding day!! She is extremely patient and friendly with lots of great ideas! I did have a couple of moments of nitpicking but ultimately it was more of a miscommunication with my in-laws who were in charge of decorations and also our disorganization. She answered many questions we had and we greatly appreciated the rehearsal that was included as well so that my parents (who dont speak English fluently) could understand the flow of an American-style wedding. You can send her unlimited emails as well to keep in touch so I highly recommend Egna! I'm glad we had her help us on our special day!

Hiring Egna was one of the best decisions we made for our event. We hired her for the day-of planning but got so much more than expected. To make the day run as smoothly as possible, she met with us multiple times prior to the event and was available through email to make sure she understood the overall feel and look as well as small details we wanted as part of our big day. Later on I find out from members of my party that she expertly extinguished multiple fires without us even knowing, and believe me, in a traditional Chinese reception, a lot could go wrong! Egna was my day-of-planner for my February 2018 wedding. She was worth every penny, she took a lot of the stress off of me that day. When I met with the venue to pick out my linen she came with me so that she could see my vision for the tables. She was well organized and always available for all my questions. A Particular Event did an amazing job draping and lighting my wedding reception hall! Their hard work completely transformed the space. They draped all four walls and added uplighting in two colors, draped the ceiling, and created a beautiful backdrop for our sweetheart table with fabric as well. The package for the lighting and draping was extremely affordable and I knew I could always reach out to Egna, the owner, for any questions or concerns leading up to the wedding. I highly recommend this vendor to any Houston bride!

I used A Particular Event for my wedding last weekend. Egna was great! She was my day-of-coordinator and she also provided the floral arrangements for my ceremony and reception. She was easy to reach and she was in constant communication with me throughout the months leading up to the event. She kept everyone organized and things went so smoothly for my husband and I. I used A Particular Event / Egna for day-of coordination and I couldn't be happier with my decision. Egna is so sweet- but don't let that sweetness fool you, she is sweet but composed and not afraid to speak up when it's needed, she knows her stuff! She knew my venue was especially picky about clean-up and when I stopped in the day after to get my deposit, the venue told me the place looked like a wedding never even happened and that they'd be adding her to the list of their preferred vendors! If that's not a glowing review I don't know what else is! She was early to arrive for rehearsal and kept everything in line both then and on the big day. She also helped with some planning the month of. Knowing what I do now, I wish I would've had her plan the entire wedding! She's professional, kind, has great tact and experience, and I can't speak more highly of her.

Egna was an AMAZINGGG wedding day of coordinator. She was involved the month prior to the wedding, created a timeline and got in touch with all my vendors. She is very easy to work with, has a great personlaity and always was very sweet! . In addition to wedding coordinator, She also took care of our decoration and flower rentals, which came out just as i dreamed of, BEAUTIFUL! The day of the wedding she was involved with EVERY little detail and coordinated everything to make that day PERFECT! She made sure everything was picked up at the end of the night. Egna was amazing and I was truly blessed to have her. I really didn't worry about anything going wrong on my wedding day until 30 minutes before my wedding we realized that the ceremony candles, ring bearer pillow, flower girls pails and other key items were left at home (we live on the northside, wedding in the Heights in Houston on a Friday evening). I thought I was going to the wedding was going to have to be delayed and I was so upset but I wasn't upset for long. Egna had a plan and back ups for everything. The wedding went on with not one hick-up. She took care of everything and everyone. It was the best day of my life and it was awesome to eat, drink and get married and not worry about a thing. Egna is the BEST!!!!!

Egna is fantastic!! She is a wonderful coordinator and her linens were beautiful. My wedding would not have gone so smoothly without her. She is easy to work with and was on top of everything. The wedding was awesome!! She helped place decorations and set up my candy buffet. Once I walked into the ceremony and reception, the place was beautifully decorated and things were already placed. From the beginning to the end, she made everything flow and stayed on schedule. I had a beautiful wedding experience on November 26, 2016 due to her excellent work!!

Egna provided exceptional service at a wonderful price. We hired her to drape the ceremony sight for our daughter's July wedding. We needed to "hide" some eyesores in the room. Egna not only did that but she added some of her creativity and made the area beyond beautiful!! She will make sure you are 100% pleased! Will use her again and again when the opportunity arises!

I hired Egna for our day-of-coordinator. I seriously couldn't have finished all of our decorating on time before the ceremony without her. She came Friday for the rehearsal and helped prepare us all for the ceremony. And Saturday she came and helped us set up our tables for the reception and keep everything on time. She also worked with the vendors and make sure everything was taken care of. When we realized we didn't have our sparklers for our send off she helped us come up with a plan B. I hired A Particular Event to do the draping for the tent for my daughter's wedding. Egna did a fabulous job. It was beautiful and just what we wanted. We also rented rose gold tablecloths to provide a little sparkle in the tent. They were beautiful and much cheaper than other vendors. Egna is a delight to work with, and her prices are much better than her competitors. I highly recommend her.

Egna and her staff did an amazing job for our wedding at the Crystal Ballroom. Several of our guests commented on how great the decorations were - especially the floral arrangements. She is extremely easy to work with and responds promptly to any emails you send her. A+++

Egna truly is INCREDIBLE. Her pricing is not only incredibly reasonable, but she is probably the nicest person you will ever meet. You can see how passionate she is about her job the second you meet her and that is evident when she makes your day everything you've ever dreamed of. I was especially impressed by her when my officiant had an emergency the night of my rehearsal and he could not make it. I hired Egna Olmos as my day of coordinator for 8/23/14. I met her at her home and she was such a lovely woman. I didn't need to say much at all, she understood my vision and was such a pleasure to work with. Egna helped with every detail of the day. It went off without a hitch. Egna went above and beyond to make sure the venue was precise and beautiful. She made sure everyone and everything was where they needed to be. I would recommend Egna 100 times over. She helped make our big day perfect. Thank you Egna for being so wonderful!!

From the beginning, Egna was always very flexible. She never said "no" to anything. Her prices are so much more reasonable than other vendors we researched. We received so many compliments on our centerpieces and church decor. Egna was always positive and upbeat. The day of our wedding, she had everything under control. All of our guests were impressed with how organized our event was. We have already started recommending her to our friends and family for their event planning needs.

Egna was my florist and she did an amazing job on the flowers! They were beautiful and everyone LOVED them! She was easy to work with and was able to accommodate coming a bit earlier than expected. She was able to get the perfect shade of green I was looking for! LOVED the flowers!!!

Egna was amazing as our florist and day-of coordinator! The flowers were B E A U T I F U L. Exactly what we asked for. And Egna was so sweet and on-point the entire day. She got everything to us, in place, or set up on time and the night went flawlessly. We were planning our wedding from out-of-town and she was so kind as to receive and hold on to several things for us (programs, menus, favors, etc...) for the big day. At our reception she made sure that my mom had the gluten free cake that she asked for and that my parents had food and drink in hand at all times :) I would recommend Egna and a Particular Event to any bride who does not want to stress on her wedding day, and who wants a coordinator that truly cares about the success of their event! Egna was my "day of" event planner. She was great! I thought I could do everything myself but knew I would need help setting up on the day of the wedding. I am so glad I chose her! She transformed the room beyond my greatest visions! I walked in and saw everything set up and put together and I PROMISE tears came into my eyes! Anytime I called her name she was right there!

My wedding date was February 25, 2011 and when I first saw my flowers they looked gorgeous but unfortunately they didn’t last! I picked them up around 10 am and the ceremony was at 5 pm, by 5 pm my Bridesmaids where already loosing some of the petals to their bouquet and my daughters rose ball was falling apart. It was great working with Edna and she was extremely nice and helpful but unfortunately the flowers didn’t last. Luckily I didn’t order a whole lot for my venue therefore it was hardly noticeable, but hey, I was in a budget and it worked out for me.

Egna is great, she worked with my budget. She worked on my flowers, rehearsal, and my wedding day. She had everything under control.

My mom found this lady on the internet, so we set up an appt. She works out of her home, and her flowers and services are so reasonable, we were just a little concerned at first, but went with it since everything else we looked at was incredibly expensive. Usually they say you get what you pay for, but she was very personable and was patient with our constant changes. When the day came I couldn't have been happier! I would recommend this lady to anyone. Reasonable, sweet, and did a fantastic job on all of the bouquets, arrangements, etc. The flowers turned out even better than i'd expected.
