I want to start by saying that I was a bride who had no specific opinion or direction for the wedding. Tina was amazing at helping to focus and execute my vision, even when I couldn't verbalize what I wanted :) I used her as a full service planner. I felt she was very well priced compared to others in the area. She was so helpful in finding, booking, and communicating with vendors. Her organizational skills are excellent. She has great style which I found to be very helpful when I couldn't make a decision and she is very prompt to respond to texts and emails. I would highly recommend Tina and her team for wedding planning, and in fact two of my friends are using her as well for their weddings. On wedding day her team was amazing and so helpful!! Thank you Tina for helping me to pull of the dream wedding I never even knew I wanted. The day was so fun, special, and went off without a hitch.
If you are reading this review, stop now and call Tina with A Simple Affair Events!! Seriously. She and her team are absolutely amazing. We hired Tina for the month of services and it was worth every single penny. The coordination of the entire wedding day from the rehearsal to the ceremony to the reception was absolutely flawless! Not to mention how Tina and her team were able to decorate and bring the reception venue to life. It was PERFECT, thanks to Tina and her wonderful team. They are organized, easy to work with, have great ideas, have the answer to every wedding question you may have, and are there for you every step of the way! We cannot recommend A Simple Affair Events enough.

Tina was wonderful to work with from beginning to end. She understood the tight budget I had for the wedding and worked at finding people in the budget, but still did awesome work. Could not have asked anything better.
My wife and I met with many wedding coordinators prior to deciding to go with Tina, and her team at A Simple Affair Events. We could not be more happy with our decision! Tina did wonderful handling our event setup, takedown, everything leading up to and day-of the wedding. She went above and beyond to make sure our special evening was extraordinary. Other than the business of ensuring our wedding ceremony and reception came together beautifully - Tina was always available, responsive, pleasant, and polite. She always greeted me with a smile and a big hug. Don't let her petite figure fool you, Tina definitely will take charge and keep the day's events on schedule. I highly recommend her wedding services. From start to finish I was never concerned about any of the details, just focused on my marriage. THE BEST!! Tina and her team went well above and beyond to make our day special!! I'm an extremely type-A person who loves to coordinate, organize, and have a checklist in hand at all times - I was quite positive I could handle our wedding. However, as time grew closer I decided I didn't want to do the stressful work during our wedding week - I just wanted to focus on our marriage (The goal: wake up married on Sunday, everything else is a bonus). When I first met Tina I knew she was the perfect match for us - making everything look care-free and fun up front but behind the scenes working her booty off to get things done correctly. We (and by "we" I mean "I") had A TON of diy decorations for set up and seriously we don't know how we could have even had a reception if it weren't for Tina and her team -including the surprise Ghostbusters exit with us leaving in the Echo1 car (I'll let her tell you that story). Tina made our week stress-free and relaxed so we could enjoy our time with friends and family - especially on the wedding day! "We" didn't think once about the timeline, decor, or handling any guest issues - just enjoyed the time with my new hubby :) Tina is a superb, delightful, wonderful person to be around. Her planning skills are that of a ninja!! and working with her is like having the sweetest best friend that just happens to keep bringing you wine and confirming you're enjoying your day! If you want your day to be AMAZING, look no further because Tina is THE BEST!!
I honestly don't know how I would have survived my wedding day without Tina! She is truly an expert in her field. I loved how she told me all of my options for each little detail, but then gave me her honest opinion which I knew I could trust. She went above and beyond on our wedding day, even bringing the wedding party ice cold beers right after the ceremony while taking pictures outside in the heat! If you want someone who is experienced, assertive, and trustworthy, I recommend hiring A Simple Affair Events.
Sadly I am the one whose vision was not fulfilled. Moral of the story I was unfortunately told that fulfilling my vision via my decor was not something that is guaranteed to be done in this company’s contract! I first started with a different coordinator who told me up front that she didn’t set up all the decor which is the main reason i went searching else where after talking everything over I was so comfortable and confident in this company. I was very thorough by explaining all of the decor I had purchased for the event. I set things up in my phone and sent pictures as well as discussing and drawing out in person. The day of I also had everything organized into storage boxes labeled as well as everything in the box labeled so that there was no question as to what needed to be done! Decor is everything to me and I spent countless hours for a year planning and searching for everything for my day!! Well needless to say my day was ruined by decor. I had at least 4 boxes that had never been touch or even attempted to be opened. I was at the venue all day as our bridal suite was there prior to getting ready I went out to take a peak multiple times, each time Bryce was walking around talking to the vendors I thought we had plenty of time as she kept assuring us that she didn’t need any help. I urged her multiple times prior to the day and the day of to come and get me if she needed anything or needed any help reminding her that helping with the decor would actually be soothing to me. This was never done. My entire wedding party was ready to go and we were waiting on Bryce to finish getting things up. A couple minutes prior to this they were loading decor never opened into the grooms lounge when my groom got my bridesmaids and mother/mother in law and sent them out to set things up because none of it was done. My wedding was delayed because the decor was not set up. The pictures and things we talked about never got accomplished she took it into her own hands to set up things how she felt they should be thrown together. No one wants their wedding day thrown together, if there was issues as I expressed earlier I wish she would have come to someone and asked for help as myself, my wedding party, my mother AND mother in law all tried to help her and she told them she had it under control not to worry until the last moment when they saw she did not. I saw Bryce when I was walking down the aisle after that I saw Bryce two more times the whole night. Thankfully she wrote out a timeline that my band had because they announced everything. As I said I did not see her the whole night. I had multiple people ask me if it was her first wedding including my photographer who knew my vision and was fixing multiple decor pieces of mine as well as helping Bryce and her assistant set everything up the correct way. Throughout the entire night i was noticing things being set up wrong and fixing them or asking Bryce’s assistant to fix them for me!!! INSANITY!!!! I don’t know where my day went wrong but at this rate I wish I went with another company!!!
To make matters worse I brought this attention to Tina she respectfully answered promptly and was very concerned. After speaking with Bryce she informed me that my vision being fully set up wasn’t in the contract but because of the things that happened to my day she was going to refund me $300.. $300 out of $1,500. She said she believed this was fair. I believe the only person it is fair to is her company. I would have paid double the amount for my wedding to have been set right and to have had my day perfectly. I spent more than $1,500 on the decor that was never even touched in the unopened boxes! The entire thing is very sad to me and the fact that this is the compensation I get is also very disappointing.
My wedding day was beautiful and amazing but the credit is not due to this company for that. I pray this doesn’t happened to anyone else and am so sad that it happened to me.
As an out-of-state bride, I knew early on that I would need help planning our dream wedding. I searched for planners on The Knot and was drawn to A Simple Affair Events almost immediately. The glowing reviews from brides who had met with countless planners before committing told me that this was a company who cared about its brides. I sent an inquiry and Tina was in touch less than 24 hours later. She was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive from the start. My now-husband was a bit skeptical about hiring a planner at first. Within weeks, he was regularly commenting on how lucky we were to have Tina in our corner. She worked tirelessly with us for nearly a year. She connected us with fantastic vendors. She helped us figure out where and how to best spend our wedding budget. She moved mountains to incorporate details that were important to us. For example, our wedding was very family centered. We married in my husband's family church on my parents' anniversary. We wanted to honor our families and recognize those who could not be with us by hanging framed photographs of them on the church pews, which did not have an obvious place from which to hang photos. Tina made it happen. When the doors opened and I started down the aisle, I saw my husband, our friends and family, and the smiles of family members who have passed. That moment is priceless to me. Tina's attention to detail and diligence carried over to the reception. We had to incorporate a rain plan days before the wedding. She found and installed a beautiful pipe & drape that made the space warmer and more classic than it would have been without it. The room was perfectly executed with every detail we had discussed in place. Thanks to Tina's excellent florist recommendation, we had fabulous floral displays, including a large hoop full of floating tulips. Tina and her assistant transitioned the hoop from cocktail hour seating chart to cake cutting backdrop seamlessly. If there were hiccups on our big day, we weren't aware of them. Tina had everything handled, which gave us time to enjoy each other, the event, and our friends and family! At the end of the night, Tina willingly and flawlessly executed the perfect sendoff, picking up lighted balloons in the middle of the reception, distributing them to our guests at the end of the night, and directing them on how and when to release them as we walked by. We had rented a classic car, which showed up more than fashionably late. Before it arrived, Tina had an excellent backup plan ready for execution. When the car did show, she quickly transitioned back. These are just a few examples of Tina's dedication and commitment to her couples. We are so grateful that she was with us throughout the planning process. Her vision is unmatched and her execution is flawless. Without her ideas, we would not have had the wedding we did. If you're not sure whether you need a planner, talk to Tina about it! She has a realistic sense of how the process works and what's required. She will tell you the truth and you will always be better for having her guidance. She is worth every penny and, frankly, probably many more than she charges. We are convinced that her vendor connections and advice saved us more than her fee. Tina is the best out there. If you want to enjoy both the planning process and a magical day, A Simple Affair Events is the planner you need!
I was the bride that 1) did not want my friends or family to being doing anything on wedding day except celebrating and taking it all in, and 2) already had a very good idea of wedding costs and the look I was going for (thanks to being part of many close friends' weddings). So I knew I may not need a full on wedding planner, but definitely wanted professional guidance and someone to make sure that a year's worth of planning came together seamlessly on wedding day. I contracted with Tina for her day-of coordinating services (which is more of a full month-of service) and that is exactly what Tina was for me - a sanity checker, a person I could bounce ideas and fears off of, and a woman who absolutely ran the show on wedding day. She became like a member of the wedding party and I truly enjoyed meeting with her and just chatting it all out. I had an ALL STAR vendor team (many of which Tina had worked with before), that she helped to keep on track and running smoothly. I have never seen a wedding go off without a glitch...until mine. If you need a dependable, reliable, genuinely interested in perfection planner/coordinator - CALL TINA NOW..do it...stop searching..CALL HER. Tina and her team are the BEST. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her on our wedding day and prior. She recommended half of the vendors we used and we loved them ALL. I didn't have to worry about anything the day of, and neither did my family. We were able to really enjoy the day while Tina and her team took care of everything - and I mean everything. She took my ideas and brought them to life in the reception area and at the ceremony. She even used flowers from our rehearsal dinner and the bridesmaid bouquets to add extra decor at the ceremony and reception. Things I wouldn't have even thought to do. Tina was invaluable in helping us plan my daughter's recent wedding. She offered vendor recommendations that kept us within our budget and they proved to be excellent choices. Tina is very pleasant, professional, and was always prompt at our meetings. She was readily available for consultation and her years of experience made for a smooth planning process. She and her team were excellent in directing the reception and pulling all the decorations together. She is well worth the investment many times over.

As father of the bride I was seeing the cost of the wedding continue to increase and was skeptical about paying for a wedding planner. As the process continued, however, it became apparent that this was money well spent. Tina took care of lining up vendors, consulting on every aspect of the wedding preparations and most importantly made the wedding and reception go smoothly and as planned. Tina made our wedding dreams come true! She helped us develop our overall vision, recommended specific vendors she knows personally that would fit with our wishes, and helped with all the contracts. In the weeks leading up to the wedding she communicated consistently with the vendor team, made sure everyone was on the same page, and was always so professional and sweet. She wa kind enough to be flexible with our difficult work schedule and made sure we had every question answered. We ultimately asked Tina to be our Wedding Coordinator after meeting with 2 other options. From the start, we could tell Tina was honest and forthright in her feedback on our vision and how she could help make it a reality.
Throughout our year of planning, this honest feedback was critical to our success since we were planning our wedding from 400 miles away.
As a result, we really appreciated Tina providing a curated list of her “go-to” vendors. While I’m sure we could’ve asked Tina to setup meetings with various other vendors to meet and compare offerings, we didn’t always have that flexibility being so far away from Charlotte.
During our trips to Charlotte, Tina would set aside large blocks of time for us to meet, visit the venue, and meet with vendors. Her dedication to making sure we got the necessary face time on a limited schedule was invaluable. She really did an amazing job making sure that whenever we were in town, she was with us for most the day. Not only was this important to us, it was also appreciated by the Bride's parents.
Once we got closer to our big day, Tina really stepped up and hunted down vendors we struggled to get a hold of ourselves. This was a huge stress reliever as we knew Tina would be in contact with everyone to finalize day-of plans.
On our (rainy) wedding day, she quarterbacked some minor layout adjustments and kept us in the loop as to how plans were shifting with the weather. Throughout the entire day, she truly stuck to our vision and what we discussed and made it work within the confines of the situation.

Tina was amazing! She listened to exactly what I wanted and made it happen. I have a difficult work schedule, and Tina went out of her way to coordinate after-hours meetings with all the vendors and met with them on my behalf when I couldn't be there. Tina was so wonderful to work with! I was a little bit of a controlling bride and worried about every last detail, but she always took care of everything! She was very respectful of the budget my parents had and always looked for ways to save us some money. The day of the wedding was perfect, she completely transformed the venue into everything I wanted and made it look stunning! I can't say enough great things about her!
Tina is an absolutely amazing wedding planner and now a great friend. I only hired Tina to tighten up loose ends and ensure my last month of planning went smoothly; but I received so much more from Tina during our time together. She took complete control of contacting my vendors, designing the venue floor plan, and created an itinerary that fell in line perfectly on the day of my wedding. Tina is a wedding dynamo! She has boundless energy and is a first rate problem-solver. She offers numerous solutions to whatever the problem is and will not rest until it is solved to your satisfaction. Tina is a great listener and tries to provide the wedding you and your daughter want - not the one she wants. There is no job, large or small, that she will not do: from delivering the swag bags on Thursday night not Friday morning (when you find out everyone is showing up on Thursday!), keeping the band on schedule, dealing with a cake company that delivers a tilted cake, even delivering eye drops to the Mother of the Bride - Tina and her assistant will handle it all for you. We agreed that Tina was, in the end, the most important member of our Wedding Team. She will make the difference in your wedding!

My fiance and I choose the month of planning service for our wedding and we are so happy we did. Tina made sure everything ran smoothly and took care of so many details during the day of the wedding. Tina is absolutely fabulous. As our month of coordinator, she flawlessly executed the plan for our wedding day after reviewing all contracts. She provided a timeline to help our day run smoothly and met requirements of all of our vendors. Each time we met Tina was professional, on-time, and dedicated to helping our vision come to life. Tina also joined me for vendor appointments when needed. She maintained great relationships with all of our vendors and made sure they knew where to be and answered questions from them so we could have a worry free day. She had a plan for everything, and took the time to understand our vision. She is super easy to get along with, and suggested vendors or ideas each time we asked for suggestions. Tina is fantastic at what she does! She was my month-of coordinator, and she jumped right in as the wedding got close and was up to speed on all my vendors and contracts in no time. She truly went out of her way to be helpful to me and to make our wedding everything we wanted it to be. No requests fazed her – she is super organized, calm and so pleasant to be around. I enjoyed the hours leading up to the wedding so much, and that was largely because of Tina. I was able to relax and spend time with my mom and bridesmaids, instead of stressing about decorations or last-minute details. I was confident Tina had everything under control -- and she did! We planned for over a year working on giving our daughter the reception of her dreams.A beautiful outdoor reception on Lake Norman at our family retreat house.By the waters edge under the night stars and candlelight. Than came the change....Hurricane Joaquin, forced us to change venues last minute, well with less then 24 hours to reception time! Fortunately, we had Tina. She was by our side from the beginning, attending meetings with vendors for catering, flowers, china, farm tables,lights all of it.Tina knew our daughters vision. New venue, last minute change could have been a disaster. The evening was not a disaster or disappointment! Tina gave us and our daughter the dream reception she always wanted and more. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Tina as your wedding planner. On top of having a sharp eye for detail and making great suggestions for the appearance or logistics of a wedding, she is an absolute professional and you can trust her to make sure everything is taken care of and done properly. Although some of my vendors were less than reliable, I knew I could count on Tina to take care of everything on my wedding day. I knew that my mom and I would be able to enjoy ourselves and leave the details to Tina. I wasn't sure about hiring a wedding planner, so I went for the day-of package, but after the fact, I can't believe I doubted it for a minute! Tina was worth every penny and truly made a difference on my wedding day. Knowing I had her behind the scenes meant I didn't have to worry about a thing! THANK YOU Tina!!
The food was delicious and the staff was super helpful and very friendly.
The venue is unusual and even though we are not race fans it was a great place to celebrate and a novel location and experience for our out of town guests. Parking was easy and convenient for drop off. The location is perfect to be close to local hotels and the highway. We had a cocktail hour upstairs in the restaurant and the reception downstairs in the banquet room. There was plenty of space even for our large party and the staff did a nice job of getting around to everyone with the passed appetizers.
We had two things we were unhappy with after the evening was over. One with was the lighting - which was way too bright. They were unable to dim the lights low which we needed to have the formal, romantic, candle lit evening we wanted.
The biggest issue was the air conditioning. We had a very large wedding so we knew the temperature may be an issue so we discussed this ahead of time. The room for the reception was EXTREMELY HOT. We chose an indoor venue because we didn't want to be uncomfortable and this was definitely not the case. There needs to either be a limit on the number of guests they can comfortably accommodate or update the air system.
Tina Staz did a wonderful job from start to finish. She was extremely professional, always on time and easy to reach by text or phone! Our wedding day couldn't have gone any smoother.

Most people would not dare to having a wedding on Friday the 13th, but with Tina in charge I was not worried. From the very beginning she was prompt, friendly, and understood looking out for my best interest. She was great in helping me find the best vendors for my style, while keeping my budget in mind. On my wedding day, she was constantly there to check to be sure I had everything I needed, while also keeping everyone at the venue on track. (That's not an easy task when your venue and the place you are getting ready are not the same!) She made sure my vendors worked flawlessly together and took care of any situations without interrupting the flow of my special day. She is very competitive in pricing, but she was absolutely priceless! I could not have planned this in 4 months without her! Tina is a must have for your wedding!

If you want your wedding to go flawlessly without any worries, Tina is the perfect planner!! I met with SEVERAL planners in the Charlotte area during the initial process of finding one but none of them particularly stood out to me. As soon as I met with Tina, I hired her on the spot and cancelled my other appointments. Her personality was so similar to mine. I was probably one of the most difficult brides because I have an opinion about everything and I like to be in control. However Tina was super organized and made me feel very much at ease. Her personality is very light and friendly, polite, well spoken, very graceful yet SUPER effective.
Even though I am a very organized person, during our meetings with vendors Tina would always ask questions I had not even thought about. She is very experienced in wedding planning and attentive to every detail! On the day of the wedding she arrived early and had already taken care of multiple details I was worried about. I was able to relax and enjoy my wedding day, way more than I would have been if we had not hired a wedding planner. If you think you can handle everything on the day of your wedding by yourself, don't be fooled. So many things can go wrong and there is hardly ANY extra time on the wedding day. My bridesmaids and I were busy from 8am until the wedding at 5pm.
Before the wedding started, one of the aisle marker vases broke because it was so windy outside. Tina worked with our venue to find other vases and rearranged them so that they were just as beautiful as we had planned, even though one broke. I didn't even know about the broken vase until after the wedding. She didn't come freak me out and get me upset. She took control of the situation and made it beautiful and it was one less thing I had to worry about.
I just can't say enough good things about Tina. She is different than any other planner. Her personality and eye for detail is perfect. She really adapts to your style and has a vision for what you want. For a bride who initially thought I could handle everything myself, hiring Tina was the best money spent of the wedding.
