Owner Susan nurtured a lifelong dream of working in event planning, which came to fruition in 2017 when she began taking classes at Ashworth College. After working as a coordinator for a local brewery, she decided to strike out on her own. She founded A Step Above by Susan and has been organizing nuptials throughout Berks County ever since.

iple times on the phone and in person to discuss all of the details of the day and Susan offered so many helpful tips and suggestions that I would have never thought about. I can't tell you how great it was to not have to worry about anything on the wedding day, she took care of everything and made sure it ran smoothly. She went above and beyond steaming the guys suits, bringing her own supplies to help decorate, and making sure the whole day was exactly what we had envisioned. I highly recommend hiring Susan for any of your future planning needs, she truly is a joy to work with!

While meeting with Sue and going through my day-of timeline, she asked questions that I overlooked throughout the planning process. Sue even helped me find bartenders and provided additional decorations for me to use on my wedding day.
