A Tailored Event provided all of our ceremony chairs, table runners, reception chair covers, center pieces, ceremony decorations, reception hall lighting and draping, and flower arrangement. Everything came out gorgeous and absolutely how a dreamed. And I loved the convenience of having so many things come from one company.
I worked with Debbie for 9 months from Michigan for my wedding flowers. She did give me a great price and pretended to care about my wedding vision. I explained how important my flowers were and exactly what I wanted. In the end she did not deliver. The arrangements looked nothing like the pictures I had given her. My bouquet was supposed to have lots of greenery and it did not. There were arrangements missing and things in the contract she did not do as she had agreed. Debbie will pretend to be your friend but will stab you in the back. She even was upset that I wanted to donate my flowers because I believe she reuses peoples flowers. Don’t let her smile deceive you. If you want honest service, and a person who will do as promised I would encourage you to go somewhere else. Very unprofessional person.
My husband and I got married on 3/2/19 at Largo Central Park. Debbie and her team at A Tailored Event went above and beyond to make our wedding an absolute dream. They made sure every detail was perfect and her communication with my husband and I was impeccable! She took all of our ideas and made them into our dream wedding. Our ceremony site was outdoors and she created the most beautiful arch exactly how we imagined it and turned our indoor reception venue into a beautiful work of art. Our bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, and boutonnieres were much more incredible than we could have ever imagined! Debbie was very easy to work with and was nothing but kind and helpful from the beginning to the end. She made many of the normal stressors of wedding planning much more enjoyable for us. We will always recommend A Tailored Event for any special life events. Thank you so much to Debbie and her amazing crew!
This lady ruined my wedding. Doesn't even deserve 1 Star. They set up at the wrong spot on the beach. By the time I arrived and noticed they refused to move it. Said it was too much work and takes too long. I paid over $1000 for the service. However, her and her staff were very sarcastic and un-empathetic about the whole thing. I vividly remember telling them the right location because the purpose of having it on the beach was to have great pictures. Instead, I have horrible pictures with people in bikinis and umbrellas. I was never able to print any of my wedding pictures. In act, they blamed it on me and while asking them to move it they said "well your dad likes it here." Side note...my dad wasn't paying for the wedding. Shouldn't this be "taylored to us". We'll..I was 1 hr late to my wedding because of their debocal. They never even gave me a discount. I paid in full. Horrible! There are SO many other companies to choose from.... Beware! don't pick A Tailored Event. The owner and staff are heartless.
We contracted with a Tailored Event for our wedding at The Zamora Hotel for a rooftop wedding. Our flowers were beautiful, decorations and lighting were also beautiful! Our day of coordinator Zhaklin was top notch! If there were any glitches, we sure didn't know about it. Was an absolutely perfect wedding! Thank you guys sooooo much!!!
I see her reviews from a couple years were good but unfortunately I don't think she likes her job anymore. The setup for the ceremony was beautiful except for the fact we rented a runner with boards underneath it and got see through plastic white table covers. You could see the boards underneath, very cheap looking. The owners attitude was very poor, very rude and clearly not happy. Our ceremony started a little late and she couldn't wait til after our ceremony to take two bouquets down from the setup, so rude. She told us the lilies we wanted were in season and when we got the bouquets the majority were dead and wilted. The roses petals were brown and wilted. The bouquets and the boutonieres were falling apart before the ceremony. Her help did what they could to salvage them.
We used A Tailored Event for the chuppah for our Jewish wedding, as well as the chair sashes, napkins, and centerpieces. This venue is perfect for tropical- or beach-themed weddings, including ones held indoors like ours. The bamboo chuppah was beautiful! It looked tasteful and not out-of-place in the hotel ballroom where we had the ceremony. They did cover the top as Jewish tradition requires; this wasn't shown on their website, so be sure to ask. We also ordered some blue flowers for the sides of the chuppah, which looked great. The seashell centerpieces are a nice alternative to flowers at $25 each. The chair sashes and centerpieces were perfectly neat and coordinated.
Debra did a wonderful job with our wedding arch, she listened to exactly what we wanted and created our vision just perfectly.
The arch was fantastic. We had the single arch and added extra fabric so we could have both royal blue and ivory and it looked wonderful. The silk flower arrangements were also very beautiful. Highly recommended.
Cheryl was very nice and attentative talking on the phone with me (as an out of town Bride)for hours. But when the finally product was delivered I was less then satisfied. The flowers for the boutonnieres were not the right color so she spent hours painting them. But this just wilted them and the looked awful. Truthfully she should never have considered using them. When I saw them I was very stressed out and after I told her I was displeased she had a backup plan of using other flowers. She made 8 new Boutonnieres in a rush but they feel apart and I was less then pleased. My bouquet looked nice but the corsages fell apart.
I was planning a beach wedding on a very strict budget. They allow you to pick off their ala carte menu to keep the price down. The set up was beautiful and you would of thought I made a lot more. They also have great Service!!
I hired ATE for my beach wedding last December. Our venue provided an arch and the chairs, and I worked with Debbie to create a package for arch drippings, chair sashes, ferns, and potted floral arrangements. The sashes were priced well compared to our venue and draping and pottery looked, though a little pricey, looked beautiful. Debbie sent images to me of the arrangements a few days before, so that I could tweak any aspects. She was also very flexible in terms of tweaking one or two aspects of the contract that we didn’t feel comfortable with. Overall, we were very happy to find a company that offers such customization and treated our smaller wedding as important as any other. When we goofed our dates and missed our second payment deadline. She brought it to our attention and was very understanding. She continued to work on the arrangements while we rushed payment to her. We asked about set up/removal of the décor and understood that it would be set up way in advance and someone would return for it after the ceremony. Everything was set up on time and we were very happy with how well everything turned out.
This vendor was great. Our flowers turned out perfect and exactly how we wanted them. They were even delivered to our condo with no extra charge the day of the wedding!
Cheryl from A Tailored Event was a really great florist. Most importantly, my flowers were so, so beautiful--more so than I had even imagined. I still look at them in my photos in awe, and many of my guests commented on them.
Cheryl met me early on the wedding day to coordinate set-up--way out on the beach--and she was there at the end of the night for clean-up. She also dealt with last-minute weather confusion and venue change and still made everything look so beautiful.
She did forget to get some flowers/corsages to a few people, so make sure to get these "delivery" times coordinated and set in stone. I was pretty laid back about things leading up to the wedding, so some of these details were left out.
The only other thing I would recommend is that brides remember to coordinate with their florist about what happens to their items at the end of the night--extra party favors and whatnot--because Cheryl and I had not talked about it, and things slipped through the cracks.
Overall, great experience, and I would recommend this company.
Do not get linens from these people even though they are one of the cheapest in the Clearwater area. There were three different types of chair covers in the 90 I rented. I was told they only had one type. Also, a lot of the covers had stains on them. The sashes for the chairs had stains on them too. I was very disappointed. Especially when there was nothing I could do about it since we picked them up the day before and I was already told that a bigger wedding party took priority over mine. Not professional at all. I would have paid extra if I was given all the same type and without stains.
