many things that can go wrong, so many elements you haven’t considered. And why would you! It’s not as if you’ve planned a wedding before. Not only was the service team from Thyme to Cook exceptional, not only were they professional, friendly, attentive, sweet, and warm, but they also anticipated our needs before we knew we needed them. There are a few things that stand out to me above all else when it comes to hospitality, the field that both my (newly married) wife and I work. Those things are warmth, authenticity, and attention to detail. Catherine, Tori, and the rest of the team provided those qualities in spades.  Their offerings were vast, but the base-line options were still of quality. The staff was communicative without overreaching. My mother, allergic to fish and shellfish, says the team was very aware and attentive of her allergies. My 3 year old niece was ecstatic with the wide variety of bread served at the table! As the groom, we were given special care on the day of the wedding. Our needs were met and beyond. If Thyme to Cook is within your budget, even if they are scraping the ceiling of your budget, I would give this team a serious recommendation. They will be in mind consistently for all of our events moving forward and we will be recommending them verbally to anyone who will listen.

o plan our wedding, and had a lack of vision and were very behind in preparation. Our wedding coordinator, Rachel, was not only very understanding of the situation but was extremely organized and helped us quickly get on track with every detail from the catering to linens to the timeline of the day. On top of this, ATTC went above and beyond to create a custom, all-vegan menu for us. I was worried that an entirely vegan menu would not appeal to all guests and wanted the food to be both filling and satisfying. All of my fears were put to rest with the menu that they created, with some highlights including vegan pierogis, a lentil “beef” Wellington, and a vegan lasagna that my very traditional Italian grandma raved about, not even realizing it was vegan. The all-vegan dessert spread was also incredible and were truly the best vegan desserts I have ever tried and wish I could eat again. All of our guests continue to tell us how amazing the food and service was, which speaks to the ability of ATTC to expertly execute a highly customized/non-traditional menu. Our wedding day ran smoothly and was extremely enjoyable for us because of all of the hard work that Rachel and the entire team put in that day facilitate every detail and transition. Rachel coordinated with our DJ and florist and we did not have to worry about anything. We would 10/10 recommend!

Also, what made A Thyme To Cook even more unique was them providing us with our own day of attendant who allowed us to enjoy every moment without needing to worry about a thing. For example, having our signature drinks and a spread of apps ready for us immediately following the ceremony. Their team made everything feel effortless and gave us the chance to be fully present. What stood out most was how cared for we felt. Rachel anticipated needs we did not even know we had, and her thoughtfulness helped bring our vision to life in a way that felt uniquely us. and couldn't have been happier. Our venue was the Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial – because this was a historic venue, we were limited to only 6 approved caterers, one of which was ATTC. We ended up going with them because we felt like they offered the most inclusive service, they definitely embraced our unique vision, and since we didn’t have a wedding planner, we knew we wanted a day-of coordinator to ensure things went smoothly. We got married in May, and we STILL are having guests rave to us about the quality of the food, the professionalism of the service, and just the beauty of everything (ATTC did the setup of our décor!). We had a wildflower theme, which they embraced and helped us see through with many colorful napkin choices/coordinated tablecloths, set up our candles/hurricanes, arranged our memorial table, and displayed our signage. Every single member of the staff was SO KIND and SO GOOD at their role. Due to a staffing change, our coordinator changed unexpectedly 2 months before our big day. I’ll be honest when I say I wasn’t thrilled (we had spent months/hours planning and meeting), but I feel truly blessed that we had Catherine. Even when I was a pain from the stress of it all, she handled my concerns with grace and made me feel heard and valued. Food waste is something my hubs and I care deeply about – she personally made sure that all food scraps went to a farm for pigs to enjoy. No waste! And when the bar was busy, she hopped behind and started pouring drinks herself. She kept our rowdy party on task and even saved the day when my girls couldn’t bustle my dress. Catherine personally was a godsend, and we are so grateful she put up with us! For transparency, we paid a little over 40k for ~140 guests. We had a raw bar, lobster roll, and some other premium add ons, and I feel like with the service we got, it was worth every penny. The dinners were great portion sizes and delicious, the apps were the BEST (all of our guests couldn’t get over the options and quality), and the dessert bar was fabulous. We even did late-night breakfast sams to go. They did our cake too - it was SO BEAUTIFUL and aesthetically perfect with our theme. There’s nothing I would change! It was perfect from start to finish. I would absolutely recommend ATTC, especially if you are getting married at Eolia ;-) thank you for everything!!!

It was so special to be able to work with planners and chefs to customize the exact menu we had envisioned that captured a little bit about who we were through the food we served. From presentation to timeliness of serving through the dinner service and desert it was flawless! I don’t think there was a single plate really unfinished. The team also did such an amazing job making sure that even through the craziness of our special day Brian and I had the opportunity to try and enjoy all the food we selected as well. Dee took it into her own hands to brainstorm three different rain plans and walked us through all the details the night before. Day of, she acted quick, made all the right decisions and hit the perfect balance of letting us know what was going on without overwhelming us. The food was amazing, the staff so kind and always on standby with more food or drink, and they all embraced the quirks of our wedding with big smiles. She really helped us to think through things we may have forgotten on our own. We loved that we were able to pick out exactly what we wanted for the menu, and even customize to add in a hors d’oeuvre that was not on there! We specifically wanted soup dumplings to remind us of our trip when we got engaged, and ATTC was able to make this happen. Additionally, the team went above and beyond even with our music selection to coordinate with the DJ the exact timing for the precessional songs. We loved how there was a designated team member checking in on us throughout the night, bringing us food and drinks when needed! Communication - We began with some phone calls to discuss our vision every idea was met with a “yes!” or gentle recommendations (and they were right about literally everything). We wanted creative cuisine and they matched our excitement, presenting ideas that just left us speechless. We then had periodic phone calls and email exchanges over the following months and ATTC tracked everything, extending far beyond the details of the caterer menu. A week before the wedding our coordinator Dee spent two hours on the phone going through every detail of the day. This was critical for our peace of mind - that someone else knew everything. As a couple without a planner, this honestly MADE our wedding. The food - Insane. Incredible. Completely and totally mind-blowingly creative and flavorful. ATTC understands food. LOVES food. Plays with food. And the presentation? Unmatched. Go on their Instagram… It’s unbelievable. We and our guests were blown away. I’m still upset days later that I only scarfed down 12 blackberry-cries-honey tartlets… The service - Someone should seriously study their job interview process and market it. Every staff member on our wedding day was a consummate professional that went above and beyond to make our day perfect. Smiles, gracious service, and problem-solving on the fly - absolutely seamless service and execution. I have NEVER seen anything like it. I felt like each person was personally invested in making our day the most beautiful possible. Individual mentions: Juli - This woman understands food in a way I never will. The ideas that floated out of her from day one were pure genius. Katherine - Our coordinator’s right hand woman was a steady force for efficiency. She also hid behind a shrub during our ceremony to guide our flower girls who almost took a wrong turn. Becky - ATTC allocates one staffer to be the newlywed’s helper and I don’t know how anyone has a wedding without Becky by their side. She asked my now-husband for my favorite drink orders and she somehow found out I wanted those tartlets, so she presented me my favorite drink and a plate of those things just for me right after the ceremony. I once held out my hand and she just dropped a drink in it wordlessly. She also did the same with a tissue with I got teary mid sentence. Becky was the perfectly combination of industrious, friendly, and funny that made me feel like ATTC hired us a friend. Dee Jayne - I don’t have words for the impact Dee had over the course of our wedding planning experience. She is warm. She is passionate. She has more creativity in one finger than I have in my whole body. Time and time again she provided insight and ideas that stretched beyond the catering world, getting in the planning trenches and providing solutions. On the day, she and her team collected all of the decor we brought and set it up for us, making it look 1000x better than I could have ever done. She was my external brain, organizing and scheming to make the day perfect and she did it. On their wedding day, everyone deserves a Dee and ATTC. Absolutely zero regrets choosing this company.

ater Farm Vineyard. I called other catering options, but I always went back to the first conversation in my mind that I had with Juli. She really painted the picture of what I wanted for my wedding. Our wedding date was 10/4/24 and Juli said, “Okay, so it’s fall in New England. Your guests arrive to apple cider and water before being seated in the vineyard.” I was hooked. A Thyme to Cook’s reviews spoke for themselves, but I also felt extremely lucky when I was paired with Paige as my coordinator. Not only did she make the day of my wedding run as seamless as possible, but she also answered all of my paragraph long emails leading up to the wedding. She was the most important person I was working with throughout this whole experience since I was planning the wedding myself and not using a planner. Because of her I felt confident in how everything was slowly coming together despite having no idea what I was doing myself. She helped me work on timelines, ensure I had all of my vendors set, and was instrumental in making my dream wedding come to life. I was complimented as being a very chill bride and I have to say that’s mostly in part to Paige and being so incredible at her job. We did so much work up front and she knew my vision so I was able to trust her and watch it all come to life. The food itself is also incredible. Not only will the food and drinks taste amazing, but also the presentation of them is something your guests will rave about. To be greeted by the apple cider station (with the option to spike it) was a huge hit and great way to introduce our guests to our big day. The cocktail hour ran super smoothly and the food was a huge hit. I have never seen a larger piece of steak at a wedding reception and it was just as good as our tasting experience. One thing I was also very excited about was our cider donut wall. It was the perfect fall dessert for our guests to enjoy and also snag on their way out. We had no idea what we would end up with was also a wonderful team of cooks and servers, hands down the best wedding food either of us have ever had, a group of people eager and willing to help with set up and tear down, and an event coordinator of our dreams. Jessica, our event coordinator, was every bit supportive, communicative, involved, and gracious. She helped make every single one of our wedding day dreams come true, while offering endless kindness and support throughout the process. Every single text, call, and email was answered so quickly and kindly, and I never felt alone! I can't recommend the quality and variety of food from A Thyme to Cook enough. But much more than that, the people absolutely made our day. From our first contact with A Thyme to Cook, all the way to our evening-of server, the team at A Thyme to Cook blew us away. From set up to break down this team was awesome and they allowed so much flexibility and customization throughout the process and worked with our third party vendors seamlessly. The food was AMAZING. We did a tasting prior and the day of wedding food somehow tasted even better than when we went in for a tasting. All of our guests loved the apps and their meals.
