We went to A Touch of Elegance's office in NJ, and it was a far drive for us from NY, and we were late for 40 minutes because that Saturday was also a marathan in NYC and we got stuck in really bad traffic. But Lisa still fit us in despite her busy schedule. Lisa was awesome, she has such great vision, even though we barely knew what we wanted for our flowers. We only showed her a couple pictures from pinterst, and she took out paper and pen, started drawing for us, and also showed us some of her previous works, and we immediately fell in love with her design! Lisa suggested tall vase with flower and water in it with a floating candle on top, and we loved her idea! We wanted a flower arch, and she suggested using a fake arch and putting real flowers on it to save us money! She also suggested instead of traditional place card (which I did not want), she can have the seating chart on a vases!! We went to the office one more time to see the sample, and we love everything that Lisa did! The communication during the planning was also great, there was no confusions, and they answered any questions we have. Our flowers were so beautiful at our wedding, from the flower arch, the seating chart vase, the centerpiece, to the bouquets, everything was so beautiful and perfect!!! We highly recommend A Touch of Elegance and their flowers!!!

had a positive conversation about my vision. With 10 months out from my wedding, I was confident Lisa understood what I wanted. Nine weeks before my wedding I decided to change my bridal bouquet. I went from an expensive exotic flower to a mix of seasonal flowers. Lisa was clearly not happy with that change. Her tone was sharp and sounded almost put off by the conversation and the change. This was red flag #1. I thought to myself I can’t be the only bride who has changed her mind. A week after that conversation, my fiancé and I had an appointment to visit her warehouse to see a mock centerpiece for our wedding. Lisa was so rude to my fiancé. She didn’t look at him or introduce herself to him. The first few seconds after meeting Lisa she tells me that she thought I was a blonde. Stating that she got that impression from me by our conversations. When I finally saw our mock centerpiece, Disappointed was an understatement. Lisa clearly didn’t listen to me or look at the picture I sent her. When I told her that this is not what I expected, her response was “Well, this is what was in my notes”. Again, her tone was rude. This was not the response I expected from a professional. I expected something such as “How can we make this work”. But instead I was faced with someone who felt they knew my vision better than I and was unwilling or incapable of finding a solution. At this point I am quickly losing confidence in Lisa’s abilities. Not to mention that it’s quite unpleasant to continually be talked down to. Two days after the in-house meeting, I attempted to have one more conversation with her to rectify the centerpiece situation. Lisa maintained the narrative that I am recalling our conversation all wrong. I then tell her that I absolutely do not like what she made for me and I want what was in the picture I had originally sent her. With a non-apologetic tone, she said she would make the centerpiece depicted in the picture and it would cost the same as the centerpieces quoted in my original proposal. Red flag #2! How is it the same exact cost?? I told her I would think about it, got off the phone and I did my due diligence by calling two other florists, sending them the inspo pic of the centerpiece I wanted. Both vendors quoted me a price of 1/3 to ½ the cost Lisa was trying to charge me. At this point I knew I did not want Lisa to make my centerpieces! I wish I could’ve cancelled the whole contract and went elsewhere but A Touch of Elegance required a non-refundable retainer at the point of signing the contract. I knew Lisa had over $1000 of my money that I would not get back. I called Lisa and explained that I would be removing just the centerpieces from the contract. She was very displeased. The conversation didn’t go well after that. She explained to me she would be charging me for the mock centerpiece she made me (even though that’s not in her contract). She told me she doesn’t deal with people “like me” or “people that change their minds”. Lisa then explains to me that I am not worth her energy, her breath or another second of her time. She told me she would revise the contract by removing the centerpieces and hung up on me. Needless to say, I canceled my contract with A Touch of Elegance and they kept all of my retainer.

rs. The bridal bouquet was absolutely gorgeous, and I am still amazed by how beautiful it was. It was really easy to communicate with Laura and others on the team as well, and she was open to feedback to ensure she created the perfect design. She made the process a breeze. Absolutely great team to work with, and highly recommend!

On the day of the wedding, the staff were professional, on time, and brought the most BEAUTIFUL bouquets and floral arrangements. Seriously, even the other vendors were asking who did the flowers because they were perfect. In addition, they saved the day when the cake company put some ugly flowers on the cake - the floral team on-site at the wedding was able to replace them with live flowers while my ceremony was going on. (Picture of the cake below is the updated one with the live flowers). They truly were the best. I would recommend A Touch of Elegance for your wedding floral needs!

were black and white and Lisa was able to incorporate that vision into reality by using anemones, hydrangeas, roses, ranunculus, cedar, eucalyptus, and douglas fir. Everything looked very clean, classic and timeless which is the look that I was going for at a daytime wedding in January.

My only complaint was that the office assistant seemed to be a bit scatterbrained and not always the most helpful. A year before the wedding, we told her we wanted to make an appointment to come in and see flowers that are in season at that time of the year. She made us an appointment, but didn't tell us that they don't actually keep flowers in the shop, so we made a 2 hour trip to end up seeing nothing. She also did things like email us to make an appointment when we already had one and asked us questions we had already gone over. But overall, the flowers at the wedding were beautiful and I definitely recommend A Touch of Elegance!

The chuppah was gorgeous, and felt romantic, vintage, and elegant all at the same time. My centerpieces were TO DIE FOR. Not many people can pull off the designs we had in mind, but Laura and ATOE not only pulled them off, but made them unforgettable. The setup team was amazing, super friendly, and really poured their hearts into making sure everything was perfect for our day. I could go on and on for days and really wish I could. Every detail provided by ATOE and Laura was perfection. Long story short, every penny spent on my flowers was worth it and I would not have changed even one single thing that ATOE and Laura put together for my day. It was UNREAL and I cannot recommend and thank them enough!

She sketched out her ideas for my centerpieces and right in front of me and took into account what I liked and didn't like. She was also very respectful of our budget and was able to do amazing things with it. The day of the wedding I was absolutely blown away. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL and the colors all popped. I got so many compliments on my bouquet and my centerpieces. Lisa was also super easy to communicate with throughout the wedding process. She sent ribbon to our bakery for the cake and invited us in about a month before to see a mock up of my centerpieces (which really got me excited for the wedding). Before this entire process I knew nothing about flowers, and now whenever I go to a wedding they're the first things I look at. For a bride with minimal vision going into wedding planning, everything on the night of tied together so nicely and looked beautiful, so thank you Lisa!!
