I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience! From the moment we booked our venue until the very last dance on our wedding day, everything was absolutely incredible. Our wedding was everything we had dreamed of and more, and this venue played such a huge role in making it the best day of our lives. The venue itself is breathtaking. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are absolutely beautiful and provide the perfect backdrop for every part of the day. Every corner is picture-perfect, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous everything was. It truly felt magical from start to finish. One of the biggest reasons our day was so seamless was our day-of coordinator, Devon. She is genuinely one of the kindest, most organized, and most positive people we have ever worked with. From the moment she stepped in, I felt completely at ease. She kept everything running smoothly, handled every little detail before I even knew it needed attention, and made sure our families, wedding party, and vendors were all on the same page. She allowed us to be fully present and enjoy every moment without worrying about timelines or logistics. Every bride deserves someone like Devon by their side! She went above and beyond in every possible way, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything she did. The food deserves its own five-star review! It was absolutely AMAZING. Wedding food can sometimes be hit or miss, but this exceeded every expectation. Our guests are still telling us how delicious everything was weeks later. From appetizers to dinner, every bite was incredible, and it was clear how much care went into preparing and serving the meal. Our wedding day flowed so effortlessly because of this amazing team. Everything was seamless, beautiful, and honestly more perfect than we could have imagined. Bob Freshman is an Omaha native who has spent his adult years filling his entrepreneurial heart. Bob discovered his passion for cooking early in his life. He often tells the story of his babysitter teaching him to cook an egg at the age of five. From this passion of cooking Bob discovered the gift of sharing this love with others. Bob has personally been the exclusive caterer at The Ridge Banquet Facility since 2007. In 2019, Bob and his wife, Amy, purchased The Ridge Banquet Facility now, A Venue on the Ridge.

Devon is our Director of Sales and Marketing at Venue on the Ridge, guiding couples from their very first tour all the way through to their wedding day. With two years at AVOR, she brings a perfect blend of professionalism, creativity, punctuality, and genuine warmth to every client experience. However, Devon's first job was scraping dishes in the kitchen here when she was 14, so she truly knows the ins-and-outs at AVOR. Now living her full-circle dream, Devon loves helping couples bring their dream weddings to life, making each celebration feel personal, seamless, and unforgettable. the designers were a DREAM to work with. They heard my vision and executed it with perfection. They are such a professional, detail oriented group of people. Devon truly went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was exactly how I wanted it to be. She answered any and all questions that my husband and I had. As a teacher, AVOR was honestly the biggest blessing to me as they were able to do essentially everything in house. A “one stop shop” doesn’t even begin to cover what they are able to offer within their space. If you have a dream, they’ll bring it to life. The food was fabulous and they even made his one request a reality. Devon was the event coordinator of my dreams and having her there from start to finish made for a smooth, stress free process and for the I am eternally grateful. I couldn’t recommend this space enough for future wedding couples.

Every detail was stunning, and they brought my vision to life in a way that felt straight out of a fairytale — exactly what I had always hoped for. The venue itself is breathtaking both inside and out, and the new bride and groom suites were such a special touch while getting ready the morning of the wedding. One thing that really stood out to us was how incredible the staff was. Everyone worked together seamlessly like a family, creating such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and making the entire day run so smoothly. You can truly tell how much they care about their couples and the experience they provide. They truly want your wedding day to be perfect! We had a few special requests and they made it happen! The day of the wedding every worker was so kind and were so willing to help any of our guests! We had a few guests who have trouble getting around and the workers delivered their plate of food to their table for them. They were also incredible with the children! how beautiful the venue is. Just having self-serve water, lemonade and tea on the side of the bar was so convenient for our guests. The entire staff was efficient and organized running our event. Amy is incredible and we appreciate how she worked with our special diets and it was truly delicious. We started out with a charcuterie board for the cocktail hour, a dinner buffet with two entrees. The buffet had two lines with servers serving the food. Our guests didn't wait long at their tables. Then we had late night snacks. Our guests were so excited! Everything was like clock work! Whatever we needed was taken care of. If you are looking for a fabulous one stop shop venue, look no further! We were very grateful to have such a fun-filled and worry free night! Every one of my guests I have spoken with has been raving about the food, which is made on site by the owners! Our outside ceremony was unfortunately upended due to storms and high winds, but Devon, Shannon, and the rest of the staff saved our day by making an equally beautiful arrangement inside! A Venue on the Ridge is not only priced competitively, but you are truly getting a gorgeous venue, a delicious meal, decor, and a customer service experience that’s is unmatched. Devon made the planning process so easy for me by being very knowledgeable of the industry and anticipating my needs. Every meeting was well planned and she provided me with a handy spreadsheet that helped me budget as I planned other vendors such as the DJ and photographer. We also used their design service the Atelier Design Company which was great! We worked with Shannon who was so kind, compassionate, and detail oriented. She helped make all the design details come to life and look just perfect!! All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful. We were able to meet Amy one of the owners on multiple occasions. She was so nice and approachable! She was there even on wedding day helping the team there with everything! And she made it come to life. Devon, Amy, and Tawnya worked so well together to make everything go off without a hitch. ey were VERY accommodating and on top of what I could drink and the drinks at my seat at the table so I could truly enjoy our day. Devon was hired in June/July, and my wedding was 8/4…so that made me very nervous that a new person was going to be running my event I’ve spent so much time and money on. BUT SHE DID SO GOOD!! She was so client-centered, detail-oriented, and didn’t skip a beat. Sometimes these venues/companies just want your money, but Devon and A Venue on the Ridge were all about making our day exactly what we wanted and pictured. Tanya and Amy were AMAZING helping lead the rehearsal the night before, which kept my mind at ease knowing that it would go perfectly. The day of, they made sure that everything was perfect for my husband & I. All of our guests told us how they loved the food, drinks, and loved how the dance floor is in the middle of the room! That was probably my favorite part, it helps the dance floor stay busy all night. I would 10/10 recommend this venue to anyone. I wish I could relive the day over and over.

ier than expected! The staff was very communicative throughout the entire process and so nice throughout the night ensuring my husband and I were happy as well as all of our guests. I had a day of coordinator hired outside of the venue's staff and they made sure that she was well-informed. Would highly recommend this space for your reception!

ay. They always answered our questions timely and if they didn't exactly know an answer or we had a particular request, we still got things answered ASAP, and it all remained so well priced. Rehearsal/decorating day was made so easy and we were always consulted on what our wishes were. We added many bonuses of uplighting, picture backdrop, barn door backdrop for cake table, and the absolutely beautiful floral decorations for the barn door and our outdoor arbor, late night nacho and churro bar, and they were all SO worth it. Everything was PERFECT. Our wedding day had a range of rain chances and all staff remained positive and made sure we could have our ceremony outside. Tanya, the day of coordinator, was everything I could have wished for and catered to us hand and foot. I did not have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day and it was a perfect day that went by way too fast.

le outside, and the reception inside. They didn’t have a separate space for us to get ready so they came up with two spaces, and it ended up being perfect. They had everything we needed, and if they didn’t they found it for us. Everything went incredibly smooth, the food was amazing we chose the two entree, two starches option. We had an open bar- silver package and it was totally worth it. We 100% recommend A Venue On The Ridge.

rom the first communication with her to the last (when the flower girl had lost her shoes and we needed to find them) they were top notch. The owners are amazing, they do the catering in-house and it was wonderful. Everything turned out as promised. Our families love language is food so that was super important to us. One of the best prime ribs we have had. We also used the outdoor patio for the actual wedding and that was set up so nicely. We did very little decorating as they had it all set up already. There was some confusion on the open bar but that was totally on us not clarifying our understanding so I would recommend that you do that. Even create a sign to have on the bar so guest know what is "free" They also ended up recommending a florist who turned out to be extraordinary. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a

The food is delicious and every single one of our guests has raved about how great it was! But the true reason behind this 5star review is because of their coordinator Danica. She went above and beyond on our weekend to make sure everything went smoothly. She coordinated with our vendors for set up, helped us decorate the Friday before the wedding and kept everything running perfectly the day of! She is truly the best!

astic, the amount of space was perfect for our wedding, and were very flexible with whatever we wanted to bring in and decorate with. Danica was our facilitator and was extremely helpful and kind. The bar staff was awesome all around, and made sure we were taken care of at all times. THE RIDGE ROCKS !

I recently had my wedding reception at The Ridge in Elkhorn. Although the food was wonderful and the service was great, I was not impressed with the overall experience. My fiancé...

and I first met with the manager and reviewed costs of the bar services and catering etc. Thirty days out from the wedding, we again met, but with the events coordinator this time. We had a total of 223 adults RSVP and 78 kids under the age of 21 RSVP, 21 of which were age 5 or younger. The events coordinator even made a comment that it was a lot of kids, which we were aware. When we got to the bar services part of the contract, we assumed that we would only be paying bar services for adults old enough to receive BAR services. I was very disappointed that this was not the case and there would be no reduced rates for kids for bar services or meal services. We had to deal with it since we were only 30 days out at this point. We signed the contract and paid for a 6 hour event. In addition to this issue, the night of the reception, the dance floor was packed all night long; everyone was having a great time. Thirty minutes prior to the event closing there were at least 50 people still dancing and my DJ advised me that the events coordinator had told him he would shut down in 15 minutes. I still don't understand why we were shut down early when we had already paid for the full 6 hours and clearly, the party had not died down. Being as this was my wedding, it was the greatest day of my life, but the events coordinator didn't even pretend to be happy at such an occasion. All night, he stomped around the hall and glared at my guests. Several times people came up to me asking who he was and why he had such an attitude. To prevent people from having an event such as mine turn out the way it did, I hope this review helps!

ted was an open room with a large dance floor for a decent price. That is exactly what we got here! Rick was awesome to work with, he is very enthusiastic and there to answer any questions you may have leading up to the day. The bar staff was fantastic! And I don't think there was a single person that didn't tell us how great the food was! I wouldn't have changed a thing and I would recommend The Ridge to absolutely everyone!

t us. Everyone likes to nickle and dime you and add on charges for every little thing. The Ridge included everything and made it so easy. The facilities are just beautiful and the staff is great to work with. The food was beyond amazing! Seriously, some people worry about the additional cost for in-house catering but seriously this place was worth it! Definitely highly recommend.
