A1 Event Rentals

Awful, awful experience with this company. I am not sure where to even begin. We rented everything we could from them; tent, chairs, tables, tablecloths etc. Every single thing had to be cleaned. The tent did not stay up and fell several times before the event even started and twice while our reception was going on!! The cocktail tables were not even sturdy enough to put food or drinks on and we ended up not using half of them because of how dangerous we felt they would be. The chairs all had to be wiped down due to cob webs, dirt and dust that was on them. When I came home to see everything that had been delivered I sat down and cried. At that point we could not do anything about it other than deal with it. Our bistro lights did not even stay up properly and by the end of the reception every string was only hanging on by the very edges of the tent. This is supposed to be such a special and perfect day and I am honestly embarrassed by the way our tent and tablecloths looked. They did not even give us the correct size tablecloths for all the tables so they were uneven in places. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and inconsiderate the owners are. We sent them and email and called them afterwords about the quality of what we were given and have not been given any kind of reply. Poor ownership and customer service. Please do not use them!!!

There's just not enough space to explain the awful experience I had with A-1 Rentall Plainwell. . At first they were friendly , but the second you complain about one thing they are mean, nasty, and spiteful people and they lied to us about several things. I rented a tent, tables, and chairs for my wedding and the quality of their products are not worth the price you pay AT ALL. We asked for the tent to be cleaned because it was absolutely filthy and had holes all over it and to be set up the right way since not even an hour after it was set up it was falling so bad to the point that they had to come back 3 times to fix the tent (not to mention they brought an orange construction strap as one of the tent stake ropes while all the others were white) because of all this we asked for a partial refund and they agreed to those terms. They sent out two boys to clean and fix the entire tent by themselves, when I went out there at 6:00 pm to see how the tent was looking, I told the boys that it looked better (still not as clean as what it should be since I paid over $1,300 for this service but it was two days before my wedding and this is what I was left with.) The next day when my fiancée called about the refund they replied, "We thought you did not want a refund anymore because you told the boys they did a good job." My fiancée told the owner he is still expecting a partial refund and the owner tried to push it off to Monday, but my fiancée insisted that it be immediate and drove to A-1 right away. When my fiancée arrived the owner would not even come out of his office and sent his wife instead, she snatched my fiancée's bank card out of his hand, slammed it back on the table, and threw a pen at my fiancée after all that she said, "you're lucky you dealt with Aaron, because if it were me you would not be getting any kind of a refund." Terrible experience with terrible people and I'm glad it is over with, I am telling EVERYONE to never go to A-1 Rentall. Also they left two ladders behind on our property and still do not know that they are missing and it has been nearly 3 weeks! Poor Business Management!

We rented chairs, tables, a bar, and a tent from A1 Rental. They were on time, set everything up as directed and were very professional. I would recommend them.

I don't usually write reviews. I'm sure many people have had great experiences with A1, but my husband and I did not have a great experience. I decided to go with A1 because when I compared prices with other rental companies in the area, they were pretty low. We put down a deposit and set up a time to meet with one of their representatives at the venue to measure for the correct tent size. My husband took off a half day from work, drove 40 minutes to the venue, waited in his car for an hour and a half and no one showed up or called. When my husband contacted me about it, he asked that I call them and get the scoop because he had to get to work. I called the company and they claimed that they had called my husband several times and left messages that the representative had the flu and couldn't make it. I told them he had no messages or missed calls on his phone. I asked for what kind of compensation we could get for the inconvenience. I wasn't looking for anything big, just something small and simple. The man on the phone actually laughed at me and asked, "Can I just speak to your fiance?" I felt completely disrespected. I told him my fiance was at work, and that I was perfectly capable of discussing these issues myself. He asked what time my fiance left work, and I told him the time, then he said, "Thanks" and promptly hung up on me. After my husband spoke with them, he said that the company was very apologetic and for compensation said that they would deliver the rentals and set up the tent a day earlier without any additional cost. I thought this was great because our families would be in town to set up early and we wouldn't have to stress the day of the rehearsal. The rentals did not arrive two days in advance. The Thursday before the wedding, family and friends gathered around noon to help with set up. We waited for 8 hours before A1 finally contacted us to say that they were not coming. This was after my fiance and I had called them several times to see when they would arrive and we received no answer. When my husband spoke with them, he made it clear that we needed the rentals to arrive early the next day. Again, they did not. They arrived 3 hours before the ceremony rehearsal. The wedding went off without any problems. My husband and I only notices small things like, the wrong generators were delivered and although we paid for a 16x16 dance floor, the one set up was 12x12, and you pay per square. In the end, all the stress didn't matter because we got married, and we're happy. Our wedding was a blast! I just want to help other brides avoid this stress if they can. :)
