Laura and her team were exceptional. The guests at our wedding complimented the decorations, food, drinks, and staff to no end. Laura truly cared about us and our families, and she made sure our wedding day was unforgettable. A combination of attentiveness, friendliness, and hard work on her part made the reception special for everyone. We are so grateful!
I have always loved this restaurant and their Bawyview room was absolutely perfect for our wedding. As a covid bride I had the absolute horror of the restaurant being shut down for months before the wedding, only opening barely a month before the wedding. A MONTH. And Barb, the event coordinater we worked with before the pandemic did not return to work, or at least not before the wedding. However, you really wouldn't have noticed! We were given until 5 days before the wedding to give our guest count, instead of the month required in normal times, thank goodness because we had sooooo many drop outs. Michelle who I believe works at the sister company was able to coordinate with the team at the restaurant all of our requests. We were able to switch a salad for their to die for ale cheese soup. And switch in a wine for moscato which is more my taste. The team at the venue was friendly in the days leading up and after for set up and tear down and were soo helpful as well! Everything went off without a hitch and despite out 29 guest count, the party was great and the room still felt the perfect size. They were also cool with my request for a live wedding painter which was amazing!!
A1A Ale Works was the perfect place to have our reception. Barbara was so great to work with and she made sure everything was done just the way we asked . She was always so nice and answered all our questions . The food was great and so many of our guest said what a great place it was ! I highly recommend having your reception at A1A Bayview room . Thank you for making our wedding day the best it could possibly be .
Absolutely beautiful venue with a great staff. Opting for the balcony ended up being worth it. Would highly recommend
Barbara, Jennifer, and their team were excellent! We couldn’t have asked for better service or attention for our wedding reception in the Bayview Room. The food was delicious, drinks yummy, and the groom and I felt pampered from start to finish. We loved the space in the Bayview Room, with the round tables for dining, the space for the dance floor, the buffet area, bar area and we even used the balcony too. Couldn’t have asked for a better reception. Highly recommend!
We can't rave enough about our food for our wedding. Barbara was so friendly and accommodating with any changes or special needs. Our food was fabulous and everyone talked about it for days with compliments. Me as the bride completely cleared my plate which was unusual apparently for the couple to have time to eat but i made sure i ate it all because it was too good to miss! Barbara and her staff were great! They were present and checking on everything all night. Highly recommend A1A and we love to eat at the restaurant every time we visit so we can't get enough and they can't go wrong!
This is the best place to have your wedding reception! Barbara and all the staff were amazing! All night the servers were making sure everyone had drinks and anything they needed. The food was great and we had tons of leftovers. They packaged up the leftovers for us and even remembered that I had a food allergy and told me they would pack the pork and mahi seperate. We didn't have to decorate either. I just dropped off decorations the day before and showed Barbara how I wanted them set up and they did the rest! At first when I walked into the room (Bayview room) I wasn't sure if it would be big enough for tables and have room to dance, we had about 75 people, but there ended up being plenty of room. We could have fit much more!
It was a beautiful wedding, especially for the time of year it was (January). It was a lovely venue to be a guest at. My only complaints were the lack of bathroom space and the price, when I went to do research for my own wedding. Overall however, a wonderful place to get married in a destination wedding city!
A1A was AWESOME! We called to say we were having a small informal rehearsal dinner. We wanted an area in their dining room reserved for us on a Friday night. Every other place in town said NO and A1A was more than happy to help us! They didn't make us stick to a minimum cost. They held the area and our waitress was amazing. Food and drinks were yummy!
Amazing reception sight, wonderful staff!
Experienced this food at someone else's wedding and it was great
A1a ale works catered my wedding at the sala menendez room. THey were really great. The food was just enough. The staff made sure everything was great. I had some decorations I wanted in the room, and the staff gladly helped out. It was a great affair
Because we had our wedding in the Lightner Museum courtyard, it made sense to have our reception there as well. Using the room that is attached to the courtyard, however, requires that you go with the owners of the room, A1A Ale Works. This was not a problem at all! The menu options were amazing. We had a smaller wedding, less than 50 people, and we wanted an interesting menu without the staunchiness of a sit down meal. Beth at A1A worked with us to fine tune a menu to our preferences and everything was incredible. We also have 2 very serious food allergies in our family, one to seafood and the other to tree nuts, so we needed to be extremely cautious with cross contamination. Beth wasn't remotely flustered by this! Highly recommend her services!!
I already reviewed A1A under my venue, but I'll do another just for food...I have eaten at the restaurant several times, and it has been delicious every time. My wedding food was no exception! All of my guests talked about how wonderful the food was; especially the Sea Bass! The hors d'oeuvres are amazing, and were a huge hit at the wedding, as well!!!
Beth and her team at the Bayview Room were amazing! I never had to worry about a thing because I knew that I was in great hands. From the very first meeting, to the day after my wedding.. THEY WERE GREAT!!! I suggest to any bride looking to get married in the downtown St. Augustine area, to definitely contact Beth. The room was gorgeous we hardly had to decorate, we attended every menu tasting until we had the perfect menu for our celebration, and we never had to worry if they were listening to what WE WANTED! I would definitely recommend this location and the amazing team!
Beth is great! She was so helpful all the way up to the big day and her staff on the day of was amazing. We used their Sala Menendez room and they set up our decorations beautifully. The service was great, the food was excellent and we could not have been happier. Definitely would recommend A1A and the Sala Menendez room.
The people at A1A ale works were so helpful. We had one of the banquet halls and it was more amazing than I could have ever dreamed. We had about 3 waiters who were just for us and I had about 60 people in our party. I would definitely suggest them.
