we needed to plan. She was super easy to work with and flexible in handling the countless things that pop up when you are planning and executing an event like this. As father of the bride I was watching money of course and Abe and Jake's was a great VALUE for such a beautiful place. It seats several hundred people so there is plenty of room to move around. I love the lighting. There are so many places for guests to take selfies and I saw a lot of that going on. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the place was. Having a deck on the river is a bonus too. We even saw cranes! Also there were a lot of places for the photographer to take interesting shots. Both families loved it and if I had another kid this is where I would head for their wedding.

She was the best at communicating and working with us making sure we had everything in place for wedding day!! You dont even need to leave the venue for pictures and pre-wedding gitters, Abe and Jake's has awesome bridal and groom suites, bars and balconies and an amazing riverfront view out back, they truly have it all! We did a sparkler send off at the end of the night on the entrance bridge with our guests and it was the perfect ending to the best day ever. We love Abe and Jake's!! :D

She made the planning process as smooth as it could be. The event staff was fantastic as well and was always on top of their role. The space itself is so amazing. It can accommodate a large number of people, has great views, perfect location, and is such a unique atmosphere inside. I would recommend Abe and Jakes to anyone!! I can't thank them enough for giving me the wedding of my dreams!

a "COVID" bride (August 1, 2020) and Kiley worked with me multiple times sending different floor plans and such to keep up with state mandates. We were able to find compromise in every aspect. Pictures inside and outside of the venue were amazing (we used Isbell Creative). Not a single regret!

Mine both commented how the space made it so fun and easy to get amazing shots. The floor to ceiling windows and giant staircase are breathtaking. There’s also a hotel right next door and ample parking so it was super convenient for our guests. Call Kylie right now if you’re planning a wedding!!! You have to see this space!

All of our guests were blown away at how unique and huge it was! The view of the river is gorgeous. Literally the complete package! Id recommend to anyone. PS...the new bridal and grooms suites are amazing!! Everything is one site. AND a nice hotel next door aka no drinking and driving for guests! With all of this, youd think the price is through the roof...but its NOT. It very affordable and was perfect for our frugal budget.

She goes above and beyond to help make your day go off without a hitch! For example! I left some stuff in the venue the night before and she met my sister at the venue the day of the wedding (on her day off!) at 7am! She truly was a huge part of making our day so special!

They took care of all the tear down and setup between the wedding and reception and they were great with bar tending. We got so many compliments on the venue - everyone loved it! A great place for a wedding aside from flowers and pictures, we didn't even need much decorating.

She was easy to communicate with, had great ideas, and was always willing to go the extra mile. She even helped us find a letter that had been thrown away the Monday after our wedding. We also used the bride and groom rooms and they made for amazing pictures and precious moments that we'll remember forever. I am the type of person that has a very specific vision in mind and Kiley and Abe & Jake's BEYOND exceeded my wildest expectations. I dare you to try and take a bad picture in the place or not spend your evening constantly thanking people for complimenting your venue choice :) I cannot say enough amazing things about Abe & Jake's and Kiley, and I promise you you will feel the same way!

Abe and Jake’s the best. Kiley was amazing to work with! She is so kind and so invested in every one of her brides. By the end of the process, I thought of her more as a friend than a coordinator. She has even checked up on me after the wedding to make sure everything went well and to see how I was doing with married life. It was more than just a “congratulations,” she is truly invested in her brides (and grooms). I looked at a few other venues in Lawrence, but the customer service here solidified my decision. I would recommend Abe and Jake’s to anyone who is getting married in Lawrence!

your vision The only things I did not particularly like is: 1. It is a bit pricey. Especially if you want a Saturday reception. 2. The building is older. So be prepared for problems with older buildings. a. While there is an elevator for handicapped people. It has seen better days. My grandma said the doors got jammed. b.The air conditioner was spotty during our summer reception. i. However, back to the accommodating staff. They brought in repair men and fans for the guests.

d gorgeous enough that you don't have to over do it with decorations. Our favorite part was the large dance floor (of course) and the tall windows overlooking the river (gasp, so pretty!). We took 100% of our photos within the parameters of the venue and they were all Pinterest worthy shots- That was so helpful and timesaving! The staff was outstanding- day-of and during the planning process. We worked with Kiley and God bless her for putting up with us. We asked her so many questions, and she bent over backwards to make sure everything was answered promptly, our parents were happy and the day ran as smoothly as possible! She coordinates with all of the vendors so they know exactly what to do on the wedding day (believe me, you don't want to do be in charge of this). And the price we paid for the quality of service we got was a steal! Bonus, our photographers and videographer LOVED the venue! They said it was an ideal set-up with the natural lighting and tall ceilings. To anyone reading this review, I HIGHLY recommend Abe & Jake's Landing with full confidence that it will not disappoint! Seriously, you can't go wrong with them!
