Elizabeth is absolutely incredible. We worked with her for full planning and it was hands down the BEST decision we made out of the entire process. I cannot say enough good things about her! I promise, you want a planner, and you want it to be Elizabeth. It will without a doubt be the best money spent in the whole wedding process.
From our very first call until even the day after our wedding, Elizabeth made us feel like we were the only couple on her mind (and I know she worked with many other couples this year!). She is thoughtful, intentional, kind, and easy to communicate with. She is a good listener and was able to both go with the flow and keep us right on track throughout the planning process. She was the perfect guide and I cannot overstate how much we could not have done this whole thing without her. She held all of our wishes, feelings, and concerns with space and understanding. She always brought us back to feeling at ease throughout the ups and downs of planning such a big event. We had absolutely no doubts about any of the logistics or execution of the weekend thanks to her.
I went into my wedding weekend knowing with 100% confidence that Elizabeth would take care of everything. Her expertise, her vendor relationships, her ability to be 15 thoughts ahead of us the entire wedding weekend, and her high level of care for us all came together to create the most enjoyable wedding experience I could have ever imagined. Elizabeth was extremely professional, very communicative, and easy to get in touch with and ask your questions to leading up to the wedding. She also is just the type of person you want to have supporting you on your wedding day. She made sure things were well coordinated and smooth down to the very last detail. I even later heard of issues that Elizabeth solved at my wedding that I didn't even realize were happening on the day -- she's that good that I never even noticed! She's awesome, diligent, fun to work with, provides really helpful suggestions, is detail-oriented, and overall did a really amazing at her job. I would strongly recommend Elizabeth to any cville bride.
I was talking to my dad today about my wedding and reflecting on what went well and one of the first comments out of my mouth was how thankful I was to have Elizabeth as our wedding planner. She was by far and away the most important vendor (although she truly felt like more of a friend!!) we worked with for our wedding. Frankly put, we could not have done it without her.
She truly made our wedding day flawless and stress-free. From day one, she was incredibly timely, friendly, and organized, keeping track of every detail and helping me think through what would work best to ensure the day flowed naturally (and on time!). Her knowledge of our venue and optimal timelines was also incredibly helpful for providing insight and suggestions. Additionally, she worked seamlessly with all our vendors and ensured everything was executed to perfection. I'll also add that whenever I told another vendor that I was working with her, they immediately began to sing her praises-- a testament to how highly regarded she is within the wedding industry.
Further, on our wedding day, we faced a major unexpected issue when our shuttle bus did not arrive as planned. Elizabeth remained calm and in control, quickly finding a solution so our guests were taken care of without us having to worry. Her poise and problem-solving skills in the face of challenges were incredible, and we are so thankful to have had her by our side.

Immediately after our first meeting, my husband and I looked at each other and gushed about how we were SO GLAD we hired Elizabeth. And this is coming from the man who 48 hours before didn't even know we had a wedding coordinator.
From the first time we spoke on the phone, I knew Elizabeth was all business, which was exactly what we needed. Logistically, our wedding was all over the place. Our venue would need to be completely set up day of, we had a million and one vendors, and our catering was a local restaurant that was inexperienced with wedding catering... and we didn't have a kitchen onsite. This would have been a total disaster without Elizabeth.
We hired her as a month-of coordinator, but the work started way before that. She met with our venue staff and asked so many questions we never would have thought to ask. She met with our catering (multiple times) and helped us iron out all the nitty gritty details, advised us to hire more staff (which we definitely needed) and pointed us to an amazing local company for it. She met with our rental company, helped design our layout, and made sure we were renting everything we needed. She helped negotiate pricing with our vendors and advised us what was industry norm. Leading up to the wedding, she coordinated with all of our vendors and made sure that everyone was aligned so that we didn't have to. We were trying to keep costs down (as much as you can with 200 guests) and she was always conscientious of that.
Day of, her and her team set up and decorated our venue for 200 guests. This included linens, table settings, centerpieces, catering set up, and all the decor that we had brought in. I arrived at 12pm for photos and I swear she was already done, it was crazy. We barely discussed how I wanted the decor set up, she said do you trust me and I said yes and she nailed it. The day was absolutely perfect, and if anything went wrong behind the scenes, we had no idea because Elizabeth handled it. She kept us on our timeline with gentle guidance and was somehow invisible the whole day but always there when we needed her.
On top of all of that, she is so kind, relatable, and hilarious. It was such a pleasure working with her and I would and will recommend her to any future brides. Thank you Elizabeth!!

If we could leave a review for more than 5 stars, we would! Elizabeth is amazing. She was the picture of professionalism and competence throughout the entire wedding process. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, I am sure our wedding day wouldn't have been nearly as flawless without her help.
We hired her as a day-of wedding coordinator, but she was also immensely helpful with advice and suggestions in the weeks leading up to the wedding day. The day-of was even better, as Elizabeth had complete command of the schedule, kept all our vendors coordinated, made sure everything was set up beautifully, and even was an enormous help in packing everything up afterwards. It was truly an amazing night, in no small part thanks to Elizabeth.
If we could get married five more times just to work with Elizabeth again, I think we just might!
Elizabeth was AWESOME! We received a lot of compliments on how effectively she ran our rehearsal. Elizabeth handled all of the final calls with our vendors to confirm details, and it was nice to not be on numerous phone calls the week of our wedding. Our venue had not had a wedding our size, so Elizabeth helped me create a layout for the reception space and ensured everything was set up correctly the day of the wedding while we were getting ready. She met us with drinks and snacks from cocktail hour while we were taking our couple photos after the ceremony. She helped think of small details during the planning and day of the wedding which made a big difference. She was a JOY to have with us on our wedding day. I highly recommend Elizabeth!

Elizabeth is incredibly good at her job. She went above and beyond as our month-of-coordinator. She stepped into our wedding planning process at a time where we were experiencing major decision fatigue. She picked things up flawlessly and took care of us with the perfect balance of providing guidance and following our lead.
The day of our wedding, Elizabeth was a total MVP. During lunch, Elizabeth broke the news to us that a big storm was going to happen during our ceremony with such gentleness and kindness — but also was organized and clear about what had to happen and when. Not only did she orchestrate some big rain plan shifts, she checked in on us emotionally! And, she even printed off our vows, cut them out, and pasted them into our vow books when we no longer had time to handwrite them as we had planned!

In the months leading up to the wedding, she helped recommend vendors, helped us find our wedding style, and helped us create a fool proof plan and timeline. She answered my one million questions with ease, and always made time to chat and catch up. During the month of our wedding, she helped communicate with vendors, tied up any loose ends, and even reviewed all of our contracts. On the wedding weekend, she executed our plan flawlessly, helped address any problems that came up (if there were problems, we didn’t know about them!), and helped us stay calm and collected on our big day. We also enlisted Elizabeth’s help for decor, and she did an amazing job taking our vision and making it a reality. Elizabeth is a true wedding professional!! We hired Elizabeth for the month-of coordinating service, so we began working with her roughly a month before the wedding. Even before then, she was available to answer questions and help guide our choices. We met in person at our venue walk through about 45 days out. From that point on, Elizabeth took everything off our hands and began to organize the day for us. She led conversations with vendors, and made sure everyone had the information they needed to make the day a success. In our calls leading up to the wedding, she eased our stress, asked the right questions to understand the day, and provided suggestions for the order of things or how we might accomplish a goal we had. The day of the wedding she executed all of our vision seamlessly, made sure we had food and drinks, communicated on vendor arrivals and load in and truly ran the show. She made it all look effortless!! At the end of the night, she handled the clean-up and organized all of our things in our car and at the venue. When we came to pick up our items, everything was packaged together so well which made it super easy for us to get our things and hit the road! I can't say enough positive things about Elizabeth and I truly don't know what we would have done without her!!
Elizabeth was fantastic! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. She was very professional while being very personable. I was lucky enough to have her for the month leading up to my wedding and I could not have done it without her. As soon as we started working together, I felt like I had known her forever and it was so easy to get things done with her help. She took care of EVERYTHING on the day of, and I didn't even have to think about a thing! She professionally and respectfully recommended other options and that ended up working better than our original ideas. I am grateful that she did that because she knows what she is doing and her experience helped the day flow perfectly. Hiring Elizabeth (About Thyme Events) as our wedding coordinator was by far the BEST decision we made for our special day! She is an absolutely LOVELY individual, and she really knows her stuff! She was always available to answer any questions, and offered great advice/help during the planning process. She also helped with the decor of our rehearsal dinner, which turned out beautifully. Elizabeth is AMAZING! She went above and beyond long before our wedding day, ensuring every step was covered. During our wedding weekend, she ensured everything went perfectly and if there were any issues, we never heard about them. She even fixed an issue with my wedding dress before I even knew there was a problem! She also designed and provided all of our signage and flowers, it was beautiful. Elizabeth made everything go so smoothly the day of our wedding!! We hired Elizabeth for the month-of coordinating service, so we began working with her a month before the wedding. Elizabeth immediately took everything off our hands and began contacting our vendors to organize the day for us. She drove all conversations with vendors, especially the ones that were not as communicative as we would have preferred. The day of the wedding she handled all issues that came up (I assume SOMETHING came up, but I never heard about it since she seriously handled it all). She checked in on us many times to ensure we had enough food/dessert and drinks, and if we needed anything whatsoever. She even got my husband's grandfather coffee from our venue owner's residence when she overheard him asking if coffee was available since we didn't have any with dessert. At the end of the night, she handled the clean-up and packaged our leftover food for us to take back to the hotel. The next day when we came to pick up the remaining items from the venue, everything was packaged together so efficiently and made that last pack-up task very quick and easy. Our parents have all commented on how much they appreciated her the day of the wedding- it definitely would not have been the perfect event it was without her!

Elizabeth was our coordinator for my daughter’s wedding at Montfair Resort Farm. She was professional, efficient, caring, available and willing to go the extra mile to make our daughters wedding go so smoothly. If you need a coordinator, Elizabeth is the woman to hire! She is so sweet and genuinely wants to help make sure everything goes off without a hitch. From the day I contacted her until the reception night when we were hugging goodbye, she gave it her all to execute my vision. She helped me pick out decor, she stayed through two hours of rehearsal to make sure we got it right and the morning of the wedding she enhanced an already beautiful venue with all the little details. My daughter and son-in-law planned their wedding themselves. They decided to hire a day-of wedding coordinator to oversee their work on the big day and made an exceptional decision in hiring Elizabeth Langley! Elizabeth alleviated stress during both the final planning days of the wedding and the actual wedding day – April 15, 2023. She made sure that the bride and groom’s wedding plans were carried out properly and proceeded according to plan. It became Elizabeth’s responsibility to focus on the logistics of hosting over 200 guests at the wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, plated sit-down dinner, and dance - with a band. Words cannot fully express how much Elizabeth’s help was needed and appreciated on my daughter and sons-in-law’s wedding day!
All the behind-the-scenes wedding day tasks were handled with efficiency and grace by Elizabeth. She previewed the church and reception venue; helped with rehearsal direction; helped organize and space the processional line-up; confirmed set up of the guestbook, gift table, cake table, flowers, and rentals; and verified that things - like place cards, centerpieces, flowers, gifts, and other décor for the ceremony and reception - were placed as requested. In addition to this, Elizabeth supervised the final walk through of the wedding and reception venues; transported flowers, gifts, and other items from the church to the reception; served as the point person for every vendor (so the bride and groom didn’t have to); directed events to keep the wedding and reception flowing smoothly and on schedule; assisted with guest management – such as serving as the point person for parking validation; and responded to last-minute changes – like recommending a photo sharing website. Elizabeth was ready to help with anything! She worked incredibly hard and was worth every penny – and more!

My daughter's wedding this past weekend was a huge success because of Elizabeth. We had multiple online meetings prior to the event and it was clear she knew what she was doing. At the event, she did not miss the smallest detail and, as I put it to her, "had eyes in the back of her head." It's obvious she sincerely cared about everyone and everything involved, down to feeling bad because it rained and we had to move the ceremony indoors, which I actually think made it better than it would have been had it been sunny. Honestly, it could not have gone better!!
Elizabeth was great to work with and provided us with all the details we needed to coordinate logistics and be able to provide climate control in the barn for her couple. Lots of details to juggle and vendors to coordinate. My advice to all couples who want to enjoy their wedding and not sweat the details...hire an organized and resourceful planner like Elizabeth!

She was organized, efficient, communicative (but not overly, thank goodness!), kind, decisive, hard working, EVERYTHING! I honestly can say that our wedding day would not have gone the way it did (PERFECT and without a hitch) had it not been for Elizabeth. From the first phone conversation I had with her before she was even hired to the day after the wedding when she checked in just to follow-up, and everything in between, she was incredible. Oh where to even begin with Elizabeth. She was such a wonderful delight who made our day so stress free. In fact, I'm sure, (as the bride), I don't even know half of the ways that she made our day happen, because she handled everything so calmly behind the scenes. We had a weekend wedding, and she helped us out both Friday and Saturday night. All of my vendors told me what an amazing partner she was and how easy she made the weekend. She TOTALLY understood our vision, which was super unconventional. We didn't do almost any of the classic wedding traditions and she was so supportive and just "got" exactly what we were going for. This was so helpful when she was communicating with other vendors and making sure that everything went the way we wanted during the weekend. She kept such a calm and cool demeanor- that really matched ours, (or how we tried to be!) that we just always felt totally taken care of. Beyond that, she's just fun. We loved getting to know Elizabeth and getting together with her to gab about our plans for the wedding. I'm sure now, even though the wedding is over, we will continue to hang out and get drinks with her here in Richmond! My friends and family couldn't stop talking about how much they loved Elizabeth- and neither could we!
I can’t even begin to put into words what a blessing Elizabeth was for our wedding. We had a backyard wedding at my parents house, which meant all of the vendor coordination and all of the planning was falling on our shoulders or my family’s. Elizabeth came for the entire weekend and the minute she got there, I felt an immediate sense of calm. She has the absolute best temperament for a wedding planner, she will put you at ease and make sure you have to worry about absolutely nothing. We had some last minute shuffling that needed to be done due to rain. She looped me in on the final decision but once the call was made, she handled it perfectly. I had family members, friends, guests, and other vendors approach me during the wedding to compliment Elizabeth’s skills and expertise. Before the wedding, my Mom didn’t understand the point of a coordinator and thought we’d still be doing everything ourselves. She was the first to express how amazed she was at Elizabeth’s skills! She made our wedding day shine! Without her I truly could not have gotten through the day. Do your future self a favor and book her. You won’t regret it!
If you book About Thyme Events for your wedding, you are bound to get at least one thing right. Elizabeth is amazing. From pre-wedding planning and working out all of the little details (things I would have completely overlooked for forgotten about), to day-of coordination, she made sure everything went smoothly. She made it clear to be she was available day or night to talk out details or just to text her if I was feeling stressed about planning. At the very last minute our ceremony had to be moved from outdoors to our reception tent due to rain and she facilitated that change and so quickly and easily that no one knew it was our rain plan. My entire family approached me multiple times during the party to say how great Elizabeth had been and how helpful she had been in making sure they knew where to go and what to do at any given time. Please do yourself a favor and hire Elizabeth as your coordinator-you will not regret it!
Elizabeth was a lifesaver for our wedding. She projects a cool head and calming presence through the last few weeks of planning, and we were grateful for it when we were reaching crunch time! We live out of state, so knowing we had someone local and on-the-ground definitely helped us relax. During the wedding weekend, Elizabeth stepped up and went above and beyond for us when we had a vendor snafu, figuring out how to contact the vendor when we couldn't get a hold of them through the usual means of contact and doing a ton of extra work on the Friday before the wedding and the morning of the wedding to take care of our vendor's mistake. She functioned as a coordinator, a decorator, a floral arranger, a delivery person, and a therapist at various points throughout the weekend. She was somehow both around to check in on us throughout the day to make sure our heads were staying on straight while we were getting ready, but also somehow was where she needed to be in order to get the ceremony set up and the reception set up. It was incredible how she seemed to be everywhere at once! We were so grateful for her help throughout a very busy weekend, and she really made sure the night went smoothly, and once the wedding started it was all out of our hands and we were able to just relax and enjoy it. We highly recommend Elizabeth!
Elizabeth was THE BEST coordinator. I cannot say enough good things about her and her professionalism. She was so helpful through every step of the process, constantly offered to help me with anything I needed, and was always there to talk if I felt stressed about anything. For the day of I honestly do not know what we would have done without her. She took care of absolutely everything so my husband and I could enjoy the day to the fullest. If you're wondering if you need a coordinator for your wedding day, I'm here to tell you that you do and it MUST be Elizabeth. We had a 25 guest count wedding at a private residence and everything came together beautifully because of Elizabeth. She took all my decor pieces and all my scattered ideas and executed the most perfect day for us. She arrived early morning of and didn't leave until late into the night. She set up our entire decor, from table floral to ceremony details to even getting on a ladder to wrap fabric around trees for our ceremony arch. There are hiccups at every wedding, and Elizabeth had everything under control, and kept everything away from us as well! She was so friendly and polite to my husband and I, but also to our friends and family. Everyone raved about how hard she worked the whole day through 90 degree heat to execute brilliantly. Even prior to our wedding day, she was communicative and responsive; constantly making sure I was comfortable and minimizing my stress. I cannot say enough about Elizabeth. I highly recommend her for your wedding. You will not be disappointed!!
Elizabeth's help and support with our wedding was invaluable! Elizabeth helped me think through details I would have missed ahead of time, and allowed me to relax and enjoy my wedding day, flawlessly executing the plan we had discussed, AND adding special details, making it even better than I imagined. Seriously don't know what I was thinking when I originally thought I could handle doing anything on my own the day I got married. As the day got closer and some unexpected turns for the worst happened (as they always do) I realized and admitted that I straight up needed help and I knew exactly who to ask! Elizabeth was a life saver. She is the perfect amount of calm and business in the chaos of figuring things out and making them happen beautifully. She had fantastic communication skills and was always two steps ahead of me in thinking about everything. On the day of, the stress was lifted and I could relax knowing she had it.
Not only was Elizabeth such a planning/coordinating guru she also just added so much to the vibe of the day itself. She has a great presence all her own. I felt so comfortable almost immediately with her and that's something you can't learn. She fit right in so perfectly to the flow and made it so easy. She made the day come off seamlessly. I can't recommend her enough. I'm in another part of the wedding industry and I get to see behinds the scenes a lot and I can say first hand that Elizabeth is wedding day gold and going to have an amazing career ahead of her.
Hands down, without a doubt, the best decision I made for our wedding weekend was hiring Elizabeth as wedding planner and day of coordinator.
My husband and I were not local to the Charlottesville/Crozet area, we had to plan during COVID, and we also had the threat of a hurricane coming through the exact weekend of our wedding. Despite all of the challenges thrown our way, Elizabeth did not allow me to stress any of it! She immediately jumped on the phone with me any time she could sense I was getting anxious with new circumstances we had to deal with. She had a game plan for EVERYTHING – it was truly amazing to see her work through every little detail.
Elizabeth managed all the walk-throughs with the vendors at our venue to help keep our travel to a minimum. She also handled the communications with every vendor in such a timely and professional manner. Elizabeth was able to capture exactly what I had envisioned for our wedding day, and not once did she have to come to me the day of. I put everything in her hands for our wedding weekend, and she did not disappoint. I can honestly say there is not one thing I would have asked to be done differently. There were no hiccups, and even our guests raved about how wonderful Elizabeth was.
Elizabeth went above and beyond for us to ensure what I had envisioned for our big day came to life. She promised me she had everything under control and she absolutely delivered.
