Accel Rentals, specifically Kimberly was amazing to work with. We planned our wedding for over 2 years from out of state and with a 6 hour time difference. Accel's Team was always prompt in their communication, we had several changes made to our order throughout the process and Kimberly was always helpful and understanding. We rented linens, tableware, tables, tents and catering items from Accel. All items arrived on time and in great condition! Would definitely recommend!

Our wedding planner did most of the work with Accel, but I will say that the tent, lights, tables and linens were all set up beautifully when we arrived for our wedding. They were very professional and I am so glad we went with the clear top tent, it let the natural beauty in and the rain out.
I have nothing to complain about the customer service before and after the event. They were flexible and even accommodated my last minute changes, multiple times, thank you! On the day of the wedding, they were almost 3 hours late to set up, did not provide services we had specifically already paid them for like the chair set up or a breakdown, they forgot multiple items, and did not show up for breakdown... My coordinators, myself (bride! in my wedding dress! drunk!!) and some of my guests had to strip down the table cloth, sort the silverware etc since we couldn't just leave them there... It was also shocking to hear nothing from them until I reached out about it. If I mess up big, with friends or with business, I want to reach out to apologize right away. After I reached out, they did follow up genuinely, admitted that there was no communication about it, apologized for the experience and the delay and offered to make up for it(generous and a partial refund).
One of the items they forgot was café lights. My dream wedding always had the dreamy vibes and lots of lights so I made sure to order a bunch. My pictures from the wedding came in recently and it saddened me to see them because it just looked so different from what I hoped my night to be without those lights.
I wanted to leave a nicer review since they were nice and they did try to make up for it, but even though they apologized/refunded and I forgave, nothing can really change the fact that I had to breakdown my own wedding in my wedding dress when I should be enjoying the night, or that I didn't get the right mood/setting without the lights I always dreamed of and that I spent time planning for.
We would like to express our disappointment with the services that we have received from Accel Rentals. We are required to rent our wedding items from Accel Rentals because our venue, Sunset Ranch, has an exclusive partnership with them. We first started our wedding planning process back at the end of 2020. As we were aware that Accel would be our biggest ticket wedding vendor, we really wanted to get a quote from them right away so that we can plan around our wedding budget. Our wedding planner attempted to contact them at the beginning of 2021. However, we never got a response from them until late 2021/early 2022, which was about less than 5 months before our event date on 04/22/2022. We were honestly very concerned that we would be unable to secure them on our wedding day because we did not hear back from them during all this time. Throughout the process, communication with them was really difficult. We had some trouble submitting our payment, and we were put in a loop between the sales department and the customer service department because none of them were able to troubleshoot their payment system. After submitting our first deposit two months out before our wedding day (which is a super tight timeline), we had to reduce a lot of items on our rental list because our guest list was reduced. For some reason, each time they sent us a new adjusted quote, we would always catch a mistake in the new quote. Whether it would be charging us for extra tables and seven hundred more forks than we needed, or charging us different amounts of setup and breakdown fees for each table and chairs. Furthermore, each time we add/remove something in the rental order, something else in the quote would be messed up, and it didn’t help that it takes them forever to respond. We have done our due diligence of reading every single line item on their invoices, and I really hope that other couples aren’t affected by their lack of attention to detail.
On the wedding day, our coordinator told us that a lot of items were not delivered to the venue. We didn’t have enough plates or utensils for all of the guests, no high-chair for the infant of our guests who traveled all the way from Japan, different sized tables that were definitely too big for our tent size, and delivering the grill at 5 PM which delayed our entire dinner service and wedding timeline. Because of this, my husband and I didn’t have enough time to eat our dinner, no dancing time or leisure time at Sunset Ranch as guests were restless and on edge from waiting for dinner to begin.
The response from Accel Rentals to the mishaps of their service is that they would just give a refund and that many of the mistakes made were due to a “lack of staff”. This demonstrates a severe lack of ownership for what has happened and just refunding guests does not solve the issues at hand. The setup and breakdown team from Accel Rental was not set up for success and that is due to poor leadership and communication. Proper systems in place would be able to mitigate the mishaps that we faced leading up to and on our wedding day and also for many other couples and coordinators that have to scramble last minute to make up for the inattentive care from the rental company.
If you can avoid this company then do so at all costs. It is unfortunate for the venues that are locked to this rental company that offers such poor service. This rental company would definitely damage the reputation of the beautiful venues on Oahu.
We got some tables from them. Communication was professional. They were willing to be flexible and adjust to our needs. We were a little stressed when we had some miscommunication over pickup but thankfully they didn't charge us extra! I would recommend working with them again!
We used Accel Party Rentals for our tent and other items on our wedding day. They are one of the few companies on the island that have a sailcloth tent and I was determined to have one so Accel it was. The tent was great, and the other items were fine.
I do have to say that I called them several separate times when there seemed to be a mix up with my order and, despite saying they would call me back with updates, I never heard from them. It was scary to receive an email less than a month before my wedding asking if I was sending a deposit for the tent as they would allow others to reserve it if payment was not received soon, when in fact I had mailed the check over a month before and they had already processed it. Things like this and the spotty communication were disappointing. I had a great experience with Pacific Party Rentals so if you like the items that company offers, I would recommend sourcing everything from them.
I couldn’t be more happy with accel and their products! They added a last min. Tent for me which i was super great full for! However half the lights did go out they did come back out to fix them - though again they went out It was 30 min. Until the wedding ended and It wasn’t a big deal! Everything else they provided was great !
Accel Rentals was probably the most daunting vendor we had to work with and it was not because of them, but we were dreading having to count every single chair, table, napkin, or tablecloth. However, when I spoke with them over the phone, I told them what we were looking for, and they actually drew up an invoice for us that had everything from the corresponding amount of chairs/tables/table cloths to the corresponding amount of café lights that was appropriate for the size of the tent that we ordered. This made our lives SO much easier.
Over the course of our 2-year planning period, they were so accommodating and patient with all our revisions. You’d be surprised how many invoice revisions I’ve had to make! I kept apologizing but they were still so nice and it didn’t feel like it was a problem because they’re so used to it!
The week before our wedding, it was non-stop raining every single day on the island. I had to call our reception venue and they recommended that we bring the dance floor underneath the tent instead of outside of it because it may be muddy. My planner and I spoke with Accel 2 days before our wedding and we worked with them to rearrange our entire layout last minute. I was so worried, but our final layout ended up being even better than what we had originally.
Accel was also able to personalize our dance floor! I had someone design a monogram for us and we sent it to Accel and they were able to place it on!
We enjoyed working with Accel! Overall, they were very responsive, flexible, and professional!
Awesome pricing on their rentals! We had around 50 guests at our wedding and they were prompt in setting up and taking down the chairs, tables, etc.
Accel rentals helped make my wedding dreams a reality. I rented charger plates, napkins, and chairs, and these little details really tied the room together.
Kim was a huge help in the planning process, sending me photos and offering advice throughout. As it was a destination wedding, this really helped me when I couldn't see it all in person.
The price was fair, and they even price matched a competitor. I added delivery to the order, so it was a completely seamless process on the day.
When I walked into the reception room I was so blown away with how amazing everything looked.

Accel was prompt both upon delivery and pick up, and kept us informed of their arrival time. They were professional and friendly. They brought a few extra chairs and tablecloths even though I didn’t ask for them, which was awesome. In the early part of the planning process they were quick to respond to emails, but they were quite slow as the time of the wedding approached. They said I could always call them to get a faster response time but I was planning the wedding from the mainland and email was much easier for me, especially with the time change. The serving spoons I ordered were also just soup spoons so that was disappointing. Otherwise, Accel is more affordable than other companies in the area and my event looked great!
Accel was wonderful to work with for our wedding at Kualoa Ranch! All of their rental items were so perfect and made our reception site look amazing. They were also responsive and easy to work with. Would highly recommend!
Accel had the best prices in the area; we ordered marquee tents, a couple tables and the bamboo wedding altar from them. They arrived on time and set everything up quickly. I didn't do any close inspections of the items but I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary. We had our own lights and they did want to charge us the same price to hang them up as if we rented lights from them which would have been about $400, just to hang lights up.
Great job with my rentals and helping me pick all my table linens for my destination wedding. I was nervous how it would all look and come together just from picking everything off line, but it was beautiful! They also have great prices. THANK YOU Accel!!!!
The girl who was in charge of set up was so sweet and nice and really helped with the placements of the tables. she asked all the right questions and her team was amazing. I felt so bad bc it was so hot and they had to rebuild all the tables. I think he name was klhoe or kylie?
Just had my daughters destination wedding on Oahu and had Accel for all our major rentals, tent, tables, linens, all dinner and glass ware and utensils. Their delivery staff and office staff very professional, and we realized we didn't need some of the items we order, cancelled them the day before delivery with not problem and received the refund 2 weeks after getting home. Price was very fare. I would use them again if having another event in Hawaii
Needed some high-top bar tables for the cocktail reception, and Accel came through last-minute with a great price and professional staff. The tables, cloths, and tie-backs were exactly what I had wanted in exactly the right shade. Great vendor.
We got married Aug 12, 2016 at Lanikuhonua. The Accel Team was great setting up and breaking down for 155 people. Tables, chairs, linens, plates and huge tent with draping and bistro lights.
We paid extra for a white topper on the dance floor but it came out very bubbly and not smooth-- kind of embarrassin since I'm a wedding coordinator/cater/dance teacher in CA.... dance floor is so important! It was 7:00pm when I realize my gobo light wasn't focused either. I had to go use it myself
I was initially hesitant to book Accel because of their reviews and originally asked my wedding planner to book with a different rental company. It turns out the other companies were not all that flexible or available. On the other hand, Accel had everything I needed when I needed it, and I have no regrets about choosing them.
I had to move my wedding up by a day due to a hurricane warning, and these guys brought their A-game. We had last minute changes in head count, seating arrangements, and tents, and they just rolled with it. The wedding looked amazing. On top of it all, they were the best priced game in town. As long as your planner is on top of things (mine, Carrie Lance, was excellent), Accel will get it right.
If you're worried about the condition of their products, don't be, because they have nicer options depending on how much you're willing to pay. It was worthwhile for us to spring for the vinyl dance floor covers and nicer chairs. I'd highly recommend Accel to any couple looking for a responsive, flexible rental company.
I recently got married on 8/7/16 at Kualoa Ranch, it was a destination wedding. Accel Party was referred to me by my wedding coordinator. Despite the reviews, I hired them because they provided exclusive discounted rates (with my wedding coordinator).
Their customer service over the phone and emails are great. They were very responsive. But their setup and breakdown, and few rentals needs improvement. The day of my wedding, they were supposed to set up 40 chairs at the ceremony site, however 32 chairs were only set up, leaving 8 of my guests standing. Then at the end of the night, they were supposed to breakdown and put some equipment back into storage, which they didn't and they ended up charging me for that service. Obviously, I complained and received my money back.
As for their rentals I ordered the cafe lights to place under my clear tent, 2-3 of the light bulbs were not working. I also ordered a white dance floor. As my wedding got closer, I read reviews saying their white dance floor were dirty. Accel Rental said that their dance floor panels are worn out from constantly being used. The only way to have the dance floor be clean is to add on the white vinyl topper- which is essentially a white sticker they place over the existing dance floor and it was going to cost me an additional $400 more. I inquired with other rental companies and some were booked and some costs the same including delivery charge. Which is why I went ahead and stayed with Accel and ordered their white vinyl topper for an additional cost and for convenience.
My overall experience with Accel Rental was okay. Yes, their prices were cheaper compared to other rental companies. Their customer service is the other thing that's great. Their setup and delivery, and few rentals needs improvement. They need to invest on a new white dance floor, make sure the lights are all working properly prior to setup, and don't charge for a breakdown service if you're not going to do it. Luckily, my catering company helped with the breakdown and storage. The number of chairs at the ceremony could of been easily corrected if my wedding coordinator or her assistant paid more attention to it. Other than that...Good luck and ask questions! You do get what you pay for!
I had a great experience with Accel. I got a little nervous after reading a few negative reviews, but they were amazing at our small wedding. We only had 30 chairs, 2 tables and a 10x20 tent, but they didn't treat us any less for only renting a few items from them. The communication was fantastic, they showed up on time and worked hard to set up fast because we had a limited timeline to set-up between the opening of our venue and start of our event.
I hired Accel rentals to have a chuppah with drappery and chivari chairs at our beach wedding in Waimanalo. The set up was exactly how we wanted it and turned out beautiful. Everything was done over email and response time was great considering the time difference. They were on time and didnt break down until after we left. Price was reasonable and quality of rentals were good
Angel was super helpful. She responded to every one of my emails within a few hours, even when I changed my mind (which happened a lot). We rented 100 of the bistro chairs. They delivered and picked them up. We were invited to come and look at their inventory before renting them.
I love these guys. They are a bit pricey, but everything is in Hawaii. What I love about them is how genuinely nice and helpful they are. Every person I spoke with was a joy, and the quality of the product was spot on. They didn't get frustrated with me when I changed my order literally 5 times leading up to the wedding, and rather than pressuring me to rent and spend more, they were genuinely happy for me when I canceled things because I was able to borrow them from friends or work (linens, lights, etc). One of the girls specifically said, "How wonderful! It's so nice to have talented and helpful friends!" I highly recommend them and am already planning to use them for another event.
The planning went well with Heather before the wedding. Unfortunately the setup& breakdown crews stole hundreds of dollars in booze when they came to break down our tents. I informed Heather immediately the same day it happened, but she did not care. Did not even bother to respond.
What was stolen: several cases of beer, 6 bottles of champagne, full bottles of Pau Vodka, Crown Royal, and whiskey more plus several cases of soft drinks. Yes lots of money. I hope these people die of liver damage.
Sad. Please guard your possessions if you still decide to go with them.
We rented a tent and other accessories for our ceremony. They setup earlier than expected which was a plus for us because it gave our family more time to decorate and get the ceremony area ready and at the end of the ceremony they came right back to breakdown. They didn't charge extra to setup and breakdown it was included with the price and they were still much cheaper than all the other vendors we contacted. The only problem I had was trying to contact the office. I sent numerous emails and left lots of messages on their voicemails including the emergency number and couldn't get in touch with them for almost a week until I called a toll free number that they have and someone answered. The person who answered told me that the girl who we were working with has been in meetings but to me that is no excuse for her not to at least answer an email or call us back. In any case everything else turned out okay so I will use them again I will just make sure they communicate better.
We used Accel for our wedding ceremony on a beach. While communicating with Accel was easy, it was a little difficult in the setup. The crew didn't want to set up the chairs and runner, which left it up to the groomsmen. Also, some of the chairs were really scuffed up and marked. However, they did set up the arch and it came out nice. Plus emailing and talking with Angel at the office was great as she always got back to me right away and helped me figure out what we needed for our ceremony.
Our wedding/reception venue had ugly chairs, so I contacted Angel at Accel Party Rentals to get some replacement chairs, as well as a draped archway for our wedding ceremony.
Angel was professional, courteous, and helpful, and these few touches really added ambiance to our big day.
I would recommend Accel for wedding accessories and venue beautification!
Planning a destination wedding can be stress full but the staff at Accel were very helpful and promp with returning emails. They were also accommodating with our schedule and on time with their delivery and pick up.
They had nice items. No straches on the glasses all chairs were new and clean. Glasses came wrapped in saran wrap to keep them clean. Everything looked great but they had poor communication and coordination with me, and did not communicate through email only through phone calls during business hours. Day of the arrived an hour early to pick up.
I ordered 5x5x7 size bamboo arch at Accel party rental. They should have set firm and tight when they set bamboo arch. One of ceremony site staff warned them it's not safe. But they just disregarded. Of course bamboo arch collapsed and our guests had to fix up and taping all over. And my wedding got delayed for 45 min. Terrible experience
I worked a lot with Kim from Accel Party Rentals & Design and she was fantastic! This company has great customer service! Kim was also very good at keeping in touch with me as our big day approached. The setup crew was also very good in communicating with me. They also arrived 30 minutes earlier than scheduled to put up the tents. I would definitely use them again if I needed out door party rentals.
Our wedding was gorgeous! We were so happy with what they did, it passed our expectations. We rented chairs, clear top tent, lanterns, dishes, linens, arbor, and tables. They were priced the best of all the rental companies we looked at, and were very easy to work with. Totally recommend accel!
I loved to work with Kim from accel they are easy to work with.... Kim gave me great ideas..... And the best was that they went to pick up their rentals after 10 pm without charging extra.... That was great because other companies charge extra or don't do pick up at night anyways.... So accel save us some money...yay.....
We hired Accel to provide the tables, chairs, linens and bamboo archway for our wedding. Fairly simple no? They were scheduled to show up at 9am on the morning of the event and get everything set up. They arrived on time and got to 'work'. I was running errands around town and when I arrived at the house at 10:30, they had set up 4 tables (no linens) and were fumbling with the bamboo archway which was MUCH smaller than it was supposed to be. The two guys there, while friendly, had no idea what they were doing. The ceremony was set to start at 3:30pm so I figured that even if they were slow, they would be able to figure it out in time for the wedding.
I was wrong. They never asked any questions and never stated that they would be putting rebar posts into the grass. In fact, they told us that the arch would be movable. They put a post through a water main, causing a HUGE flood, and forcing us to move the site of the wedding to a less spectacular location.
They caused a HUGE negative impact on our wedding and the ceremony. My wife had to be lifted up a 3 foot rock wall when walking down because the only access to the grass was completely flooded and would have ruined her dress. Nobody from the company apologized to us. I did not give them the check for the remainder of our balance so they autodrafted it from our credit card without our prior approval. I still have not heard an apology from the company or ANY kind of response.
If you choose Accel party rentals for your wedding or event, please be prepared for the possibility of having to make MAJOR changes to your plans and the possibility of your event being ruined. If you value your event (once in a lifetime, ie. wedding) you would be better served choosing another rental company.
We rented tables, linens, and lighting. We were able to change our orders last minute and the equipment was is in good shape. The staff were very informative and helped set up and delivery the items on time.
I used Accel rentals for my bamboo archway. They delivered the archway on time. They set it up very quickly. They were very professional.
Accel was great to work with. They were so patient with us. I'm not sure how many times we had to go back and forth about changing the layout or the type or table or how many tables and chairs. Each time they were so patient and understanding. They were so flexible with us as we waited on the weather to decide whether we needed a tent or not. They were on time to set-up and on time to break down. They made my coordinator's job easy!
Accel went out of their way to give excellent personalized service. They were attentive and delivered on their promises. Set up was slow, but the strike was swift. They stayed until the work was complete and delivered in a crunch. Need to pay a little more attention to polishing looks, but overall, the best choice for my biggest day!
Heather was fantastic to work with. She was respectful of the budget we had set out; she had great ideas of how to transform our already stunning venue into an (affordable) elegant affair.
The quality of the rental items were good. The price was reasonable and she worked with us to take out unnecessary items to keep the costs down.
They did forget the high chair we asked and paid for but everything else was great.
All in all, they were great to work with and I would definitely recommend them.
Accel Party Reantals was easy to work with! They delivered our bamboo arch on time and were there to pick it up as promised. I had resevered them months in advance, and as the day approached I did have to contact them to confirm time of delivery, etc., rather than them contacting me, but they were helpful and responsive to my call.
I ordered a bamboo hupa for the ceremony site. The delivery and set up cost as much as the rental, but the hupa was ugly. It had milk carton footings that had to be disguised and covered up at the last minute by my wedding planner. There were no pictures on their website where I could have reviewed it before ordering it and been prepared for what they were going to deliver. They were difficult to get a hold of by phone as they did not answer and took a while to return my calls after I had left messages.
I worked closely with Kim from Accel Rentals. Having never planned a big party before, I had no idea what I needed, how much of it and styles available. Kim met me at my venue (about an hour away from the warehouse) to listen to my ideas and offer suggestions. She measured the space and told me exactly what size tent would fit, how many tables would go under it and even drew up a floor plan that would work with the space. She was professional and pleasant. Always returned my phone calls and even credited some lighting back to my account when I told her that it didn't quite work out for us on the night of the party. Accel Rentals have the most affordable prices that I could find on the island. I highly recommend them for any type of party!
Heather was great at understanding the vision I was looking for. Seen as how it was a destination wedding I really wanted it to look like I wanted it to. She did just that. She worked within my budget and colours to give me what I wanted that day. She even sent some extras on the day in case anything went wrong. Thanks again!

They have a great selection and Heather is really sweet and helpful. THeir prices were competitive, as I did a lot of research on where to get my tent and everything else from. The only complaint is that at times, they can take a while to respond and get things done before the event... That is why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. If you are patient, it's fine...but sometimes I would get very impatient waiting for a reply on something that I needed.
They gave me good pricing and service.

Everything we rented for the day of the wedding looked great. The tent was beautiful; tablecloths, chairs, dishes, etc all looked nice. We also rented a dance floor and I was a little concerned about it not being even since we put it down on a grassy area. However, it turned out great. I was very pleased with the way everything looked. I kept in contact with the rental company mostly through e-mail. It worked out well mostly but occasionally I had to send a couple e-mails in order to get a response back. They were always flexible though with the changes I wanted to make. It did get a little complicated when I tried to hand off the communication with the rental place to the wedding coordinator. There was a little miscommunication that took place. However, all in all I was pleased with the quality of the items we rented.
