At 15 I was bit by the DJ Lifestyle. In 1985 I became a young dj spinning actual records and cassettes. In 2002 I decided to go back to my passion for music, but instead of the club scene I went to the private event sector. Since then, I have paid close attention to learn all there is to providing Brides & Grooms a stress free and magical evening.

On the day of the wedding itself, he was absolutely amazing! He kept the evening going and was aware of the exact times for each event throughout our reception. He also made sure the music was playing at a nice volume for conversation during dinner and even angled the speakers away from our guests' tables, so nobody felt like they were being drowned out by the noise level during that time. It was something small, but very much appreciated by us and our guests.
John also played an amazing mix of music based on our requests and threw in some related tracks that we and our guests all loved - the dance floor was packed all night long! At the end of the night, John made sure everyone got outside on time for our last dance and grand exit, and overall, he made the entire reception feel smooth, seamless, and stress-free.

He provides an online account for couples to plan their wedding down to the most minute details. His portal provides music samples, detailed planning sheets for the ceremony and reception, and categories to list which music you want played and when. It is so helpful and intuitive! John also worked with my family to ensure we had the best day possible and to plan a surprise video for my husband. He was fun and willing to play Afrobeats which my husband and his friends loved!! mentioned he was disappointed he wouldn’t get to be at our event as he had another to be at. He said not to worry though as the DJ that was running our wedding had done it a very long time and was just as great. This was news to us as we had hired John not another DJ but we are laid back and moved forward. The reception ended up being disappointing. My husband had to keep asking for songs on our playlist to keep people dancing. One explicit version after the other was played after multiple people including myself (the bride) requested no more explicit versions to be played. A father/daughter dance that was not planned was announced and the song played for it was the song for the mother/son dance. I’m sure if John had been there these things would not have occurred but apparently you need to confirm you’ve hired John when you hire this DJ group.

Guests were coming up to us complementing our "awesome DJ" the entire night and still talk about him 3 weeks later. John was even kind enough to offer to get my husband and I drinks when he saw our hands were empty. John picked up on the music we like based on just a few music choices, MCd the entire reception, and coordinated with us based on a timeline he helped us develop prior to the wedding. We chose to start our reception slightly late due to some guests arriving late but John was able to get us back on schedule while still finding time to make sure we ate. In addition, John was able to keep key wedding guests happy the entire night.
Again, hire John. Move other costs around if necessary because John will make your special day that much better.

nally scheduled for 3/20/2020. COVID caused us to have to rescheduled to 10/9/2020. They were so accommodating by letting us reschedule without any hassle or up charge. They were on time, and easy to reach if I had questions. John was better at coordinating and taking care of us than our actual wedding coordinator. He had everyone at our wedding enjoying themselves. No one stayed in there seats for long after dinner was served! They really were amazing overall!!!!

I had every intention to give you the $100 deposit even though it was in our Contract that it was not refundable. Especially since you signed it on March 13th, when no one expected that 3 days later it would all be shut down. And definitely no one expected the shut down to last this long and causing our company to lose 3 weddings and rescheduling 67 weddings for 2021.
To the Knot Brides, PLEASE read your contracts with ALL of your vendors. As professional vendors we are doing our best nationwide to assist tens of thousands of couples save their wedding dates and somehow still keep our companies open to handle your special day. many of us have not made any income since the shut down.
We understand that for some people even a $100 deposit seems like a fortune and we understand the pain they feel from having to do so much planning and then having to cancel the date. We ask for your understanding and to have patience with all the vendors on the Knot and through out Houston as we prepare to serve all you needs in 2021.
Mr Cohorn, even though you wrote this without contacting us to ask what the status was, once the pandemic is over and we are back up and running, I will contact you about the $100. I'm sorry that your family has had so many unfortunate events happen to you. God Bless

Unfortunately based on our pending litigation in court with you, we cannot openly discuss this matter here or our 30 day prior cancellation policy and our "force majeure" epidemic clause. We would like to communicate to the the Knot community Brides and Grooms that you were offered the same as the other 55+ brides and grooms who rescheduled at no charge on any future date of their choice. 99% of our brides and Grooms have rescheduled. The COVID19 pandemic has caused horrible problems and while postponing was not a bride & grooms choice, canceling is their choice. To all Knot Brides, please review your contracts with all of your vendors, as well as cancellation policies and return policies. Our industry is doing the very best it can to make your days very special and provide you with the very best service. We would also like your continual support to our industry as we do not qualify for many programs and we are one of the hardest hit industries and have not worked since March 16. We hope we can be of service to you on your wedding day.

f the audience, or simply lack of engagement. John kept our group dancing the entire night- we don't think there was ever a time when the dance floor was empty! He was also very nice about moving his speakers to accommodate some pictures and even came out on the dance floor to teach us how to line dance to "Copperhead Road" when it was clear none of us knew how. He has a very helpful website for selecting songs we do (and don't) want played and even offered to meet with us before the event! We received many so compliments about how much fun people had at the wedding and much of that credit goes to John! If we had to do it again we would easily pick John and hope you have the fortune of getting him to be your Deejay!

The music he played was awesome, the party was so fun and everyone had a blast and danced all night. since we had family and friends from diferent countries we requested a mix of Serbian/Hungarian music and he did a great job incorporating those into the evening. was clear that John was dedicated to making this a perfect day for us. Access DJs has a portal to which we were able to upload our song list and wedding timeline. The portal has a huge song database (and the option to add any song that may not be included in the database) and was easy to use. A month prior to our wedding, John set up a meeting with us to discuss final details and our reception timeline. On the day of the wedding, he ensured that we stayed on schedule and coordinated with our other vendors. His playlist was awesome. He knew the perfect songs to mix with the song list we uploaded to the portal and the order of the music flowed really well. He definitely kept the party going and the dance floor was packed all night! We got so many compliments on how nice John was and how great the music was. He made our wedding so much fun! John was able to implicitly understand what was needed when and managed the flow of the evening at a perfect pace. We had a band come on later in the night, and John handled transitions with them and their breaks perfectly. John is a consummate pro and we would highly recommend him!
