eren’t sure where we wanted to go, which resort would best fit our needs, what all was included, etc. so we decided to reach out. After our first call with Stacia we were extremely impressed. She took the time to to talk to us about what exactly we wanted out of our vacation and offered resort suggestions based on that, making sure our wants and desires were always at the forefront of our planning. She is extremely knowledgeable of the Sandals brand. Once we decided to book with Active Travel, we didn’t have to worry about anything. They helped us book flights, made sure we had plenty of time between connections, informed us of flight changes, and kept in contact the whole time. We were made aware of promotions and certain services we never would’ve known about without working with Active Travel. We had the most amazing honeymoon and learned how to make the most of our trip through Stacia and Active Travel. We ended up going to Sandals Ochi in Jamaica and stayed in a butler level room, which was incredible. We knew what the butlers were able to do for us and how to get the best service because of Stacia. She stayed in contact leading up to the trip and even checked in to make sure everything was going well. We most definitely will be using Active Travel for our future international travel as they have so much knowledge and having someone who is looking out for you while you’re traveling (watching your flights, giving you the best tips and advice, making sure you’re being treated well) is invaluable.

to make sure we made the most of our time there. Also, we were busy planning the wedding and didn’t want to worry about figuring out all the logistics of the trip. We found Active Travel on The Knot and were put in contact with Jeannie. At first, Jeannie was great and told us she has been numerous times and had so much to tell us! We were excited for all of the recommendations she would have and her plan for the trip. She got us our proposal promptly and we paid for our trip. This initial proposal basically just included flight and hotel plans, with the understanding that she would also help us plan out our days and excursions once we committed to the trip. After she received our payments, however, Jeannie was very difficult to get in touch with and seemed to have little interest in helping us plan the rest of our trip. As we got closer to the trip (a few months out) and still didn’t have much of an itinerary planned, we started getting nervous and reached out to her. I emailed her multiple times over a period of several weeks and received no response. I left a message at her office and was never called back. Eventually, I managed to reach her at her direct number and her excuse after a month of trying to contact her with zero response was that the PDF list of recommendations she had wouldn’t send to my email address. When she finally did send us a list of things to check out, many of the items were outdated and closed, some even two years ago. I quickly realized that we were on our own for this trip and that Jeannie would not be helping us. So in addition to the stress of planning for a wedding, we also incurred the stress of planning for the honeymoon which we were so excited to not have to worry about. We made all of our own restaurant reservations (too late to get into many places), planned out our days and activities, and read articles online to try to find the best things to do. Some of the details included in our actual itinerary were incorrect because of COVID. Totally understandable and not a problem that resorts weren’t offering certain activities, but I would have appreciated Jeannie checking with the resorts in advance and not telling us we would be getting an exclusive Honeymooner’s culinary class, Lei greetings, etc when they have all been paused. At the end of the day, we had an amazing honeymoon and really enjoyed our time in Hawaii. Yes, Jeannie booked two wonderful resorts for us. But I could have done that part on my own. We had to figure out everything else. If you are looking for a travel agent that is committed to helping you plan an amazing trip and working with you every step of the way so that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own, look somewhere else. Active Travel is just looking to book as many trips as possible to get their commissions from the resorts. One they get your money, you’re on your own.

She helped us with scheduling our COVID test, made sure that we had all of the correct paperwork and ensured we had all of the correct flight times and transfers to and from the resort. We had a beautiful honeymoon and would not have changed a thing! We visited the beautiful Saint Lucia :)

Active Travel who is my travel agent and by the time I got to the airport she had booked my wife and I another flight on another airlines. That same day when we had got home she had sent us a text showing us that she had gotten our refund back from the original carrier also. She is amazing, she is the best travel agent in the world. She made the stressful process of trying to book dinner reservations and booking fast passes into a breeze and booked all of it for us. She got all of the fast passes we wanted and took the time to call us and help us figure what all we wanted. She even kept an eye out for any discounts that were coming for our trip and helped us save money! Any questions we had she was ready to answer them and helped us all the way up until our trip and was willing to help with anything while we were on our trip as well! It was a truly magical honeymoon and Stacia made it even better!

If we had any questions or wanted something like an excursion we just shot an email over and it was done that day or the next and we were always sent the confirmation codes and payments for everything. Sandals Ochi was an incredible experience! Highly recommend even if you’re just vacationing for fun! One little secret though..get the butler room! The butler service was out of this world! They actually give you a cell phone to communicate with your butler. Whatever you need just call your butler and they are all over it! We were blown away by this service! Happy travels!
