s we always work to make every event perfect, perfection is sometimes an illusion. We are all human and there may be things that occur that are not always as planned. Usually these are minor, at least in the scope of any large event. There are many moving parts to every day, and there are factors that we encounter that could impact your event. Some concerns could be weather related, staffing, supply chain issues, outside vendors, communication, the list could go on. Thankfully our experience helps to correct and smooth out any bumps that we may encounter. Rarely are these glitches one-sided, as we will address the issues that have been pointed out by this event. Our goal is to always ensure that anything that might go astray, does not become a focus of the special day that has been planned. Let’s look at the concerns of this review: • Missing a full menu course: o The menu course that was missing was a pasta course. Not a main course, but still unfortunate. This was an add-on course to their chosen package and would have been an additional charge. Their final menu details were emailed and this was overlooked. o Missing this was an unfortunate fact. It was not intentional, as it would have been additional revenue we would have gladly accepted. o It was clearly not on the invoice that they paid, and we understand that it does not eliminate the sting of missing a menu item that was printed for their guests to see. • Christmas tree placement. o Placement of Christmas trees, or any object, in front of a fire door is not negotiable, and the safety of our guests is most important. Sorry, not a rule to bend. • Salad o The only changes to the chosen the salad was requested by the bride. She requested that the tomatoes be replaced with Bartlett Pear. That was the only change to this course, and is exactly what was served. • Decorations (Curtains) o We “LOVE” your dad! You won the Dad lotto (Mom too). You requested to hang curtains in the ceremony area in place of what was there. Your dad (the engineer) spent a long time figuring out how to accomplish this task and his focus and determination to make his daughter happy was his only motivation. He never asked for assistance at any point during our many conversations. This was his project, his gift of one of his many talents. o You asked if we were interested in keeping the curtains, your dad really had no interest in taking them down. You told us what it would cost for them to stay. We paid you what you asked. If you would like them back, we would gladly make that happen. As nice as what your dad did, we were fine with what we had. Our wish for you is that going forward you will remember the best parts of all your days. Your days plans may not have been as perfect as you may have wanted, but your day was perfected by the results. We love you both “D” and “A”!

re happy that you had the opportunity to enjoy all that Addison Oaks – Buhl Estate has to offer. It is unfortunate, that with the stress of planning a wedding, we were all dealing with the State mandated restrictions. Fortunately, most understood that we had no control, or power, to change or bend these rules. Not anyone on our staff, including Dan, could have done that for you. Your event was one of the first after the COVID restrictions were lifted. We are happy that most of your concerns were eliminated at the time of your event, because of the relaxation of these State mandates. We wish you the best!
