Adiós! Mo Skitos is an all-natural mosquito repellent company specializing in customized, private-label bottles for outdoor weddings and special events located in Hatteras Village, NC. We have operated for over two years now and have more than 50 locations in Virginia and North Carolina, with Florida on the horizon. We are a new private label vendor with The Knot and WeddingWire and are excited with the responses we have received after just hours of becoming a vendor. Marti began working on Adiós! Mo Skitos! for an effective alternative to DEET products when she moved to Hatteras Island, NC, opened up StoneAgers Farms and began raising chickens. Transitioning from the corporate world to farming and gardening comes with a whole new set of "must-solve" problems and for Marti, it went from meeting a monthly sales quota to solving her daily mosquito problem. Marti worked with the FDA during the pandemic and became an over-the counter-drug manufacturer in order to produce hand sanitizer when supplies were limited in her town. Working with the FDA helped Marti realize something very important: Marti didn't want to work with the FDA. She wanted to create an all-natural product that actually worked AND was healthy for her, her chickens, the oceans, the planet and, most importantly, had no chemicals needing approval by the FDA. Marti found the combination of oils so effective against repelling not only mosquitos, but no-see-ums, biting flies, fleas and ticks, she couldn't keep it from her friends, family and her community. In just two short years, she has gained 50+ locations that carry her product and continues to grow every season. Marti says she is just trying to do her small part to turn the tide on the harsh chemicals we use every day; Marti's take is: "If a product is 'bad for the environment', it's probably bad for you." Marti makes every effort she can to leave our planet a safer place for all the newbies who have yet to arrive.
