I'm glad that, in the end, you realize we are all on the same team to make you look and feel beautiful! I personally enjoyed you. from our first appointments all the way up to picking up each of the dresses. On April 7, 2018 we had our first bridal appointment with our bride, Amber. She chose the Justin Alexander 8904. During our order process we do take custom measurements; bust, waist and hip. On April 11, 2018 we called the bride in regards to her dress order, that gown could only be produced in sizes 4-20. Suzanne did speak with the design team herself to ask a favor to make this gown in size 32 so we can please the bride on her wedding day. The bride was advised the costs incurred for this special case would be $400, however we would absorb the costs but could not redeem the 10% discount offered for placing the order for during a trunk show. The bride was very grateful and obliged. On April 12, 2018 we called the bride to confirm her order had been placed and it shall arrive end of August. On June 24, 2018 we had our second appointment for Bridesmaids and Jr. Bridesmaid. We did explain at this time, the order will be in a rushsituation since most dresses on average can take up to 24 weeks to produce. Rush orders will push production time to approximately 4-8 weeks depending on the designer. Again, measurements were taken after choosing dresses; bust, waist and hip per the designers specifications. We advised we would need to get all the deposits (50% down for each dress) prior to placing the order in its entirety for bridesmaids. The Jr. bridesmaid order was placed this day and was paid in full the following day 6/25/2018. On June 28, 2018 Bridesmaid A- completed her purchase with the deposit paid. On June 29, 2018 We called and left a message with the Bride to confirm the order was placed in regards to her Jr. Bridesmaid gown and asked about other pending bridesmaids due to the time restraint on the rush order to arrive on time. Later that day Bridesmaid B- completed her purchased with the deposit paid. On July 2, 2018 We called and spoke with the bride in regards to the pending bridesmaid orders and the bride advised us she will get a hold of all the bridesmaids. On July 3, 2018 Bridesmaid C-completed her purchase with the deposit paid. On July 6, 2018 We called and left a message for Bridesmaid C- in regards to her order. The dress style was not available in "maternity" sizing. According to her measurements we would still order the size 18. We sent an updated invoice via email. Later that day Bridesmaid C called back to approve the invoice and thanked us for letting her know. The additional fabric was $80, not $130. We also spoke with Bridesmaid D- who completed her purchase with the deposit paid. From the initial bridesmaid appointment, it took one week to get all the bridesmaids deposits paid and orders completed. On July 10, 2018 we called the Bride to notify her all the bridesmaid orders had been placed and shall arrive end of August/Early September. On August 7, 2018 we called and left a message with the bride, her Jr. Bridesmaid/daughter's dress arrived. On August 24, 2018 The bride called concerned about arrival of the bridesmaid dresses, we called Jasmine Bridal (designer) and they gave us the UPS Tracking information. It was scheduled to arrive 8/31. We also called Justin Alexander for her wedding gown to get estimated arrival date to our boutique, with an estimated arrival of 8/28. On August 28, 2018 We called the bride to let her know her gown arrived on time and is ready to start alterations asap. On August 31, 2018 We called the Bride and Bridesmaids A-D to let them know the dresses arrived and will need to have the balances paid per our sales agreements and a try on/fittings need to be scheduled. On September 3, 2018 We called Bridesmaids A-D to remind them of the balances due and that we needed to schedule fittings. You were notified as soon as the dresses arrived 8/31 and were called again on 9/3. This is 3 days not one week prior. It took one week to get everyone in and schedule fittings. We are open seven days a week and was open Labor Day for alterations. Your wedding gown arrived 8/28/2018 but you didn't schedule your first fitting until 9/4/2018. One week after it arrived. Our first appointment with the Bride alteration fittings began 9/4/2018. Our alterations process is and has always been with a series of fittings for each dress. We normally start the alterations process within 12 weeks of the wedding date. It is our policy to work in two week increments but due to the time restraints, we would have to work quickly yet efficiently. Suzanne has done bridal alterations for 25 years, 40 years a professional seamstress. Her ability to complete dresses has always exceeded expectations. Our alterations are done on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday's from 3:00-6:30 pm. Prior to purchasing gowns, bridesmaids dresses or any other wedding attire, our location has not changed. For over 15 years we were located in Gilbert, off Gilbert and Guadalupe roads and have seen moved here to Mesa and have been here over a year. We are not at fault our bridesmaids and others have to drive from their homes, wherever that may be, and on their scheduling. We have over 50 brides to serve in any month plus their bridal parties. On September 6, 2018 we had our first fitting with Bridesmaid A- our second fitting was scheduled on 9/17/2018. On September 8, 2018 we had our first fitting with Bridesmaid B- our second fitting was scheduled on 9/18/2018. On September September 4, 2018 we had our first fitting with the Bride, Jr. Bridesmaid and Bridesmaid C- The bride/ Jr. Bridesmaids second fittings were 9/11. The bride advised us about the arm hole areas and her daughters sensory concerns and that the arm hole/armpit areas may have to be adjusted a couple times in order for her daughter not to feel uncomfortable. The alterations costs associated with these gowns are below- Wedding Gown: Hem $200 Bust Darts and Move straps in 2" -$50 center back in, redo zipper, redo buttons $100 raise shoulders $50 bustle $50 add 2" of lace to back to cover $450 total Jr. Bridesmaid dress: sides in $25 hem $40 $60 total We didn't charge for the arm holes to be adjusted as we understood why under the circumstances. The total alterations for both dresses was $510. On September 7, 2018 Bridesmaid D- came in to pay her balance and to try on her dress. She spoke with Suzanne herself and Suzanne understood her financial circumstances, as an act of good faith, we compensated all her alteration costs. On September 17, 2018 We received a call from the bride. She explained her frustrations to us in regards to her timeline and how concerned she was that all the dresses would not be completed in time. She also had concerns about having the dresses completely by 9/19/2018 so that she can pick up all the dresses herself in order for every one to leave town 9/20 for the 9/22 wedding date. She was unkind and screamed at the stylist and we still were very kind and empathetic to her and assured her they would be completed by 9/19 as she instructed. Suzanne was aware she was upset and spoke with the bride to reassure her and let her know that in order to complete the dresses in a timely manner she skipped a pre planned out of state trip for our bride. Our brides mean more to her than anything, so she puts her personal plans on hold to make sure each and every bride looks beautiful on her wedding day. Suzanne's strives for perfection which is why her hand is on every single dress that leaves our boutique. Her commitment level passion and overall emotion are always #1 in the boutique for our brides. On September 18, 2018 We received another call by the bride angrily expressing her concerns regarding completion. She began the phone call frustrated, upset and proceeding to scream at the consultant on the phone for over 5 continuous minutes. The consultant was very calm and apologetic and assured her they would still be completed on time as she asked the day prior. The consultant apologized profusely and asked if there was anything else she can do to help. Later that afternoon, Bridesmaid B came in for her second fitting. The consultant met her with concerns due to the fact that the bride just stated she wanted to pick up all the dresses Wednesday. We did not expect to see any other bridesmaids since the bride was very clear on picking up all the dresses herself Wednesday. We then apologized for the confusion and proceeded with the fitting. Bridesmaid B was slightly confrontational due to the miscommunication and confusion. We notified Suzanne that she arrived and Suzanne took the fitting herself, she did not wait and was fitted immediately. Suzanne wanted to clear the air and speak with her and of course she was emotional. Anyone who knows Suzanne knows she wears her heart on her sleeve and wants nothing but the best for our brides and their parties. Suzanne was met with, "I'm just the bridesmaid, I don't want to be apart of it, it is very unprofessional". We are human, we cannot fault ones emotions as we did not fault the brides emotions, we understand weddings are stressful at times and can be overwhelming. In the midst of this conversation, the bride called an began to scream and yell immediately as Bridesmaid B, just texted her that there was more confusion and miscommunication, which there wasn't, there was a fitting scheduled for another bridesmaid who did not show because the bride wanted to pick up all the gowns 9/19. The consultant allowed to to continue to speak and berate her for minutes prior to stopping the conversation as it was getting out of hand. Bridesmaid B was completed and walked out. She was satisfied with how the dress fit and we advised her it will be pressed and available for pick up the following day per the bride's explicit instructions. On September 19, 2018 We had our final fitting with the bride, Suzanne fitted and did the final herself as well as completed everything in it's entirety as promised. We physically saw how beautiful she was in her gorgeous gown and we had our last conversation with the bride that ended with apologies, laughs and a hug. We try to rectify all situations to the best of our ability. In the semantics of everything, and in the course of these reviews it is unfortunate we have to defend ourselves in this aspect. We were berated on multiple recorded calls with the Bride. It is not our practice to "size up" just to have alterations done. Each dress is measured to fit according to the designers specifications. Everyone's body shape and silhouette is different, so of course, everyone's dress will fit differently. Per our sales agreement you were advised of our alterations costs. There is always an estimated approximation of $300-600 ion bridal gowns and $85-150 on bridesmaids. This of course can change depending on customization. At our first fitting, you are given a complete breakdown of services rendered prior to payment for alterations. Payment for alterations is always done at the first initial fitting. You are under no obligation to complete your alterations with Suzanne's Bridal Boutique. It is our commitment to have your dress completed prior to your wedding day.If you have special requests like leaving out of town and etc those needed to be communicated asap or at your first fitting as well. You are always free to take your dresses elsewhere to complete the alterations. We always have a final fitting to ensure the proper fit, like we've stated before, it's a process. After declining final fittings we cannot ensure the dress fits properly especially since the parties did not pick up individually. As a seamstress, you can see we added 6 inch gussets in Bridesmaid C's dress. We do give the extra fabric for the dress as it is yours, you paid for it, we do not keep the extra fabric. If there are issues with the sizing on any portion of the dress, that should be expressed while you are here so we may correct it. There was never an expression of anything not fitting properly. We could not guarantee the fit on the other dresses and their final fitting had not be done and the bride picked up instead per her instructions. We always strive to make the situation right and appease our brides and their bridal parties. We absolutely love our brides and Suzanne's Bridal Boutique has been in business over 17 years and has withstood most of our competitors because we personally get to know everyone and our reputations supersedes us. Unfortunately we can't please everyone. Suzanne has tried to reach out to the bride but her calls have not been returned. Again, our sincerest apologies, it is not our intention at all to make your experience unpleasant. We want all our brides to feel the love we feel on their wedding day. I received that was devastating to me, this girl at David's can't make you feel bad unless you let her! Like I told you, if you went to James and Carrie at Mariee's, or to Melanie at Brilliant, or to Lisa at Destiny's Bride, or Helen at Luv's, we would all strive to make you beautiful! The point I was trying to make was NOT to stop looking. There are other bridal shops out there (including us) who would give you the experience you so deserved.This girl at David's is an exception and maybe she was having a bad day, let's give her the benefit of the doubt, why? Because we can. You are getting married to the love of your life! You have the BEST family! We had the greatest time with you and, yes, you bought your beautiful Maggie Sottero dress with us, sight unseen, but Ronnie made you "visualize" how great it will look on you. are prime appointment days and we need to adhere to a pretty tight schedule. Bridesmaids appointments are limited to an hour and in that hour my consultants need to also clean out the room and prepare for our next guest. That doesn't excuse any impoliteness on her part and for that I apologize on her behalf. I am sorry you did not have the time you needed to try on all of your selections. But I was informed that you were 20 minutes late for your appointment and that did cut into your time.I would like for you to contact me directly so that I can orchestrate a better experience for you!!!! I don't even know who your consultant was and would like to know so that I may correct her. I really have an excellent team of consultants who care about my brides. I can only offer my apologies and hope that you will accept it and give us another chance. If you can come in during the week I would like to offer you and your guests some champagne and refreshments and really make it special for you. There is so much making up we need to do because perception is reality and while I know that no one meant you any disrespect sometimes rushing may be perceived as such.
