We had our reception 11/05/22 at St. Clarence Pavilion! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! So so so many compliments on the food and bar service! Lucy and the Ahern staff went above & beyond to help make our day so special! We were a little nervous about picking the food since we only got to try a few things.. BUT HIGHLY RECOMMEND: Bourbon Chicken, beef tips w/burgundy wine sauce (comes with rice pilaf too), the roasted red pepper pasta, parsley potatoes, and green beans w/bacon. IT WAS ALL SO DELICIOUS! & we took SO MUCH home! We had quite the party/drinking crowd and there was never a line at the bar! The bartenders Ahern provided were AMAZING! We are truly so grateful to have gotten to work with all of you, you helped make this the best day of our lives!! Thank you thank you! Love, the Halkos!
Our wedding on 09.14.19 was a perfect one! We had 240 guests and we fit wonderfully in the larger sized ballroom. We had plenty of room for our photo booth, dessert tables (we needed two), and gift tables without making the room look crowded. The food was excellent and we had great reviews from the guests. Lucy made planning very easy. I especially appreciated the phone call a few weeks before the wedding where we go through everything, down to the exact time I wanted dinner served. Lucy also did a great job helping us keep on task the day of. Everything was much more hectic than I was anticipating, so we were running a little behind schedule, but all was well in the end! All the guests were served and had eaten in under an hour, which I found impressive considering the numbers we had. Our guests also made a mention that the bartenders were very quick to serve all night. Even when lines were long to get drinks everything moved quickly. Of note, my favorite part about Ahern's is their large wood dance floor. It fit all our guests and was a perfect dancing space right in the middle of the reception hall. Ahern's was also the caterer for our rehearsal dinner at Avon Oak's. The food was absolutely delicious, and we had a generous buffet with many choices for the guests. All in all, would recommend Ahern's as a wedding venue, and would definitely recommend as a caterer if that's all you're looking for!!
We just love Ahern’s! We used the Ahern room for our rehearsal dinner & had our reception in Burke Hall. Lucy is fantastic. My husband and I both felt like she was the major selling point. She had fabulous reviews already which was helpful. She definitely goes above & beyond while having a fantastic sense of humor. She did everything we asked. The hall itself is beautiful! And the food. Wow, the food. After we went to their tasting event, that’s when we decided we must use them for our rehearsal as well. Everyone has been talking about how delicious the food was! I know some brides say they don’t eat-but I made sure I was going to get our food haha! From start to finish, Ahern’s exceeded all of our expectations :)
Ahern’s banquet center did such a great job with my husband and I’s Wedding. We have nothing but good things to say! The food was delicious, the service/staff was wonderful, and Lucy did such an amazing job working with my husband and I. They made the wedding process so much easier and were willing to help out in every way they could. I highly recommend them I am so glad we chose to have our wedding ceremony and reception there!
I had my wedding reception in the Burke room in September. I cannot say enough good things about this venue! From the moment we went to see it we knew this is where we wanted to have our reception. The food is AMAZING! Usually you don't hear that about wedding food, but I have had nothing but compliments on our wedding. Lucy is awesome to work with and she will do all she can to make sure your day is prefect! Do your self a favor and check this venue out! You won't be disappointed!
Ahern Banquet Center is a beautiful venue. The venue is clean and everything works properly. The event coordinator is professional and helpful. She always is in excellent communication with you and willing to help as much as you need to make your special day as smooth as possible. The food was amazing! There is not one bad choice on the menu! Ahern is an excellent venue choice! I highy recommended!
We had our ceremony and reception here the staff was amazing. Lucy is always on top on things I really enjoyed working with her. I would recommend Aherns for any wedding.
Loved working with Lucy at Ahern. Also, St. Clarence was absolutely beautiful for our wedding. The weather worked out for our July 7th wedding with no AC. Also, Lucy and the lady from Ahern made sure that we could get it the day before so we could set up ahead of time. It all worked out amazing!
My husband and I got married in the Burke Room in Avon on Saturday, August 18, 2018. We had a fantastic day and we were thrilled with our venue. Lucy and her staff were SOOO great to work with. I had a million questions and Lucy got back to me on every single one and very quickly. Food was great, all the staff were nice to work with and they all went out of their way for us. One piece of advice, make sure your apps our well visible, like even on the corner of the bar. Lucy recommended this, I chose to put them in a corner and there was so much left over ... she knows her stuff, so listen! Same if you do the late night food. I went with chair covers and I really think it transformed the room. I would highly recommend using Ahern, it was great!
We had both our ceremony and reception at Ahern Banquet center this July. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Lucy was incredible and all of our guests had only positive things to say. The food was amazing and the staff was friendly. We would definitely recommend them!
We had our entire wedding at Ahern’s this past June. Our ceremony was at their outdoor pavilion and our reception was at Ashford Hall. We couldn’t be more happy with our experience!! Lucy was so easy to work with. She answered all of my million and one questions. She truly made sure the event went smoothly and went above and beyond to help us with our very specific menu choices (LOL). The new chef is phenomenal! Everyone still raves about the food. The hall itself is just stunning. If you’re considering this place, book it asap!

As soon as i saw Ahern's Bruke hall i fell in love with this hall and had to have it! Lucy was amazing and super easy to work with, especially on my wedding day. She is always so sweet and smiles. The hall was beautiful, just how i pictured my reception. The food is delicious, i received many complements from guests. The bar is large, and the staff was amazing. I would not hesitate to book with them and will always recommend this hall to others. Thank you Lucy, you are the best!
I am so glad we chose Ahern's! We had our ceremony outside in the pavilion and reception in the Burke Hall. All of our guests were raving about how beautiful and perfect everything was! The food was wonderful and the bar staff was also very quick (there was never a line). Lucy was great to work with and was so helpful and honest with us every step of the way. Would definitely recommend this place!
Ahern's was perfect for our ceremony and reception!
The real gem of having any part of your wedding day at Ahern's is working with Lucy and the rest of the staff. Lucy takes the time to explain everything down to the last detail as many times as it takes for you to understand and create a schedule (it took me quite a few times). She was our go-to for every question/concern, even going so far as to speak with my out-of-state parents so they could get a better handle on the area. In our case, we lacked a detailed vision of how we wanted our day to go, she took the time to make sure everything was up to par and helped develop our day into something fantastic that we couldn't have imagined.
Specifically for us, it was important to us that we have the ceremony and reception at one location. Both my husband's and my family are from other states. Having the ceremony and reception at Ahern's allowed us to have everyone close by to not worry about driving/getting lost in between.
We had our ceremony on a beautiful sunny day under their pergola right next to their picturesque pond/trees. Due to the location, we took all wedding party photos on site as well.
Following the ceremony, we had our reception in the Burke Hall. Our guests were impressed by the large dance floor, selections at the bar, and all the food! Ahern's has so many varied food options for any type of guest (including special plates for gluten-free guests). Ahern's gives you many opportunities to go and taste the food options each weekend during wedding season and their annual open house.
Overall, we were so lucky to work with the wonderful staff at Ahern's. They were a huge reason we were able to complete the daunting task of planning a wedding on a budget, by ourselves. We felt informed, cared for, and in no way pressured to make any decisions we weren't 100% sure of along the way. It is a cost-effective venue that is a bargain for all that you get!
I really love this venue, and working with Lucy! The building itself sits back off of the road, and reminds me of a tiny castle the way it is designed. It also has private entrances for the two different banquet rooms, which I particularly liked. There was another wedding happening the same night as ours, and you did not even feel like there was another party going on. We had the Ashford room, which is beautiful, as is, with how they decorate it! The food was great, and they staffed the night with plenty of food servers & bartenders. In regard to food tastings, they host a really nice "open house" to try many food items, and I'd recommend attending that for sure. We were really glad we did! Aside from that, you need to check in each week if you want to taste other meal items. I would recommend people start doing that many months ahead, because it all depends on what food they are serving each weekend as to what you can taste. Lucy is very nice to work with, and has a good sense of humor. She's a professional and will work hard to meet your needs. We had one slip at the end of the night, where the personalized water bottles we provided were forgotten to be put out, until very late when I realized it. Looking back, since it was an extra favor, I should have put a family member in charge of that, or added it to the DJs announcements...it may have helped someone remember earlier. Otherwise, everything was fantastic, and I rate them a 5-star venue!
We just had our wedding here on 5/20/2017. Everything was perfect! Hall was beautiful (we used the Ashford room), food was delicious and service was fantastic. We could not have had a better day. Lucy was such a pleasure to work with! Flexible, accommodating and extremely responsive. I would strongly suggest Ahern's to any future bride!
We loved working with Ahern's. Lucy (the Coordinator) is very organized and will answer all your questions! We had a larger wedding (230) and anything that I had asked Lucy to take care of was done. I never had to worry that I had to check in.
Ahern's (the Alford room) has a great dance floor and plenty of bar space. After the reception, we heard nothing but positive comments about the food. Everything went great!
This venue is great! Reasonably priced and the food was AMAZING! Got many compliments on the food and the appearance of both the ceremony pavilion and the reception hall! Lucy was easy to talk to and even easier to work with. Highly, highly recommend!
Overall, Ahern is great to work with. They allow you to come in and sample food in order to put together your menu. Lucy in particular is very kind and accommodating! The staff at the reception were also very nice. We were hit with some unexpected charges, and a security guard showed up (whom we had to pay) even though we didn't need one because we didn't have alcohol.
I would give Ahern a positive rating, and though I chose the venue and they were the required caterer, I was very happy with their service.
We had our wedding reception at St. Clarence Pavilion - It was worth the investment. Best place we found for our two big families joined into one. Awesome space - beautiful at night with the hanging LED lights - most importantly, the dance floor was big! Loved that about the venue.
The only con would be the BATHROOMS. They need to be updated majorly. At least make it look like the venue itself. Rustic! :) Otherwise, I'd recommend this venue to anyone!
We used Ahern Catering which is the exclusive caterer for the St. Clarence Church Pavilion Facility in North Olmsted. We had so many compliments from people raving about the food and the venue. The caterers were awesome, and we also used their bartenders who were absolutely excellent. Would highly recommend and very affordable.
Lucy was wonderful to work with. She was very responsive to any question we had and helped make our day as perfect as we could have hoped for!
Although Ahern's is very nice looking, that is all that is good about them. The lady that works in the office never answers the phone when you call during business hours. We called and scheduled a time to come for a food tasting (which they only do when there is another wedding going on so your eating their food) and we were locked out and stood outside in the cold for almost a half hour before a server saw us and opened the door. Once we had our food, it really wasn't that good and didn't get to actually taste anything we wanted for our wedding. I would not recommend them at all.
My wedding was in the Burke Room and we had about 150 in attendance. Everyone loved both the venue and the food! We had the 2 entree buffet with Bourbon chicken and a carver for the top round sirloin. We had the garlic mashed, red pepper pasts, and buttered corn for our sides. Phenomenal! I still get compliments on the food. Lucy was great to work with and was always available to answer any questions I had. The only thing I wish I would have done differently is that I would not have my cake served as dessert. I didn't realize there would be pastries on the tables. Plus I had different flavors of cake and no one got to choose.
This venue is the best deal in town. I searched every venue in northeast ohio and this was the best. It includes items that other venues make you pay extra for. The staff was great and very friendly. Our day was perfect because of Aherns staff and management.
Prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly, food was great. They accommodated some special requests to make our day exactly what we wanted. Beautiful outdoor pavilion for ceremonies too!

Lucy and the staff at Ahern's were so nice and friendly, Lucy was very flexible and patient with our questions and in meeting with us. We had our wedding outside under the pavilion and the reception in the Burke hall. The food was amazing, and everyone had a great time. So many people commented about the quality of the food, which really was outstanding. Thank you Ahern's!
Once you realize that Lucy's bark is worse than her bite, she's easy to work with. The food was great and the servers were wonderful. They helped me to think of everything and we got tons of compliments. The only thing I didn't like was their policy for tasting the food because we live an hour away and had to make several trips to taste what they were making for that wedding on that Saturday, but it was worth it because it was delicious!
Aherns was amazing! Staff were so friendly and were hard workers! Not to mention my guests said the food was the best wedding food they have had!

Booking with Ahern was easy. Their food was amazing. I'm still getting compliments on the food. We had to change our package around at the end to a cheaper price and there were no issues with that. I'm giving 4 stars as sometimes it can take awhile to receive a call or email back.
We booked the Ashford hall (the big hall) In late October for our July wedding. Lucy gave great advice and was very kind and easy to work with. We loved the big dance floor, stage for the DJ, large bar area, and the food was fabulous! Brand new bathrooms, lots of parking, and nice landscaping for outdoor photos. Great price for a large wedding, and everything happened flawlessly. We had about 200 guests and had the best time at Ahern. Loved our experience!

This place is awesome!!! We got married outside at the pavilion and had our reception in the Ashford Hall. Everything was perfect. The hall is gorgeous, newly renovated and holds a lot of people. We had 210 people and there was still plenty of room. Please make an appointment with Lucy to see this place in person, the pictures don't do it justice. Food was delicious! We had baked chicken, roast beef, rigatoni, mixed vegetable medley, mashed potatoes. Everyone said they loved the food, and we got to take home 10 trays of left overs! Most places don't let you keep the extra. Also, prices are very reasonable, cheaper than most halls around here, but the service is outstanding. I have no negatives about this place, like I said this place is awesome! I highly recommend this place, you won't regret it!!!
I had my reception at Ahern's Banquet Center and had an amazing night. Not only is Lucy very organized, which equaled low stress for planning, the venue looked amazing with limited decorations. The prices are reasonable and food is delicious, guests are still talking about it!

I had my wedding reception here in September 2011 and it was more than perfection. The food was amazing which was a huge thing for us, we are still getting compliments on how good it was. The service staff was absolutely delightful, and so helpful. The coordinator Lucy, is an absolute jem!!! She will work with you from beginning to end and help with any details. Lucy is very honest, which I appreciated a lot, and will make sure everything is perfect for your special day!! I could go on and on about Ahern Banquet Center because they were steller, and I am so happy we chose to have our celebration there :)Also, the price was very reasonable in comparison to other venues around the area and in Cuyahoga County, and the food was amazing!!! Good wedding food is a hard thing to find, believe me I tried quite a bit at other venues.
I can't say enough what a wonderful experience we had with Ahern's! The food was fantastic, all of my guests raved. The venue itself was so nice, from the table set ups to the cleanliness. The service is what really put it over the top for me! Lucy and her team were so nice and accommodating, it was such a pleasure to work with them, they really helped make our day perfect!
We had a great experience working with Lucy from Ahern's and we received many compliments on the food that we chose (bourbon chicken, top round, veg lasagna). A lot of the coordinating with them was done via email due to my busy work schedule and thus was a lot easier, thanks to Lucy! The price of the catering was the best we came across in the area. Ahern's helps to coordinate a lot with the venue which also helps a lot! We did do several taste testings and when we didnt come across what we wanted, Lucy set up a date that we could try exactly what we wanted. This was helpful and much appreciated. We would recommend Ahern's to anyone!
I am so glad we chose to have our reception at Ahern! I loved working with Lucy- she was wonderful! They recently remodeled and it's absolutley gorgeous. The food was delicious- we're still hearing compliments about it :) The staff was extremely helpful as well. This truly was a perfect place to have a reception- I couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere :) And it made me happy knowing my guests were having such a good time, loved the food and were enjoying themselves.

Lucy did a phenomenal job and always answered my many, many questions promptly. Ahern is the point of contact for the St. Clarence Pavilion. The moment I saw the indoor/outdoor pavilion I knew that’s where we’d have our reception. It is very rustic looking, but when you dress it up for a wedding (white tablecloths, chair covers, white fabric/lights, etc.) it looks amazing. We got so many compliments on it and it is so roomy – it’s just your reception in the standalone building. All of the doors come off to the deck so people can go outside as well. And when it’s dark and only the strung white lights are on above it is magical :) Ahern’s food was great (buffet) – we had top round carved beef, champagne chicken, Pasta with Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce, and the usual salad/rolls/potatoes/veggies. The food was probably some of the best wedding food I’ve had. You can also bring your own liquor for your reception. We had a full open bar and Ahern provided the bar wash. The servers and bartenders all did a great job. Their prices are pretty in line with other area reception venues, but with being able to bring your own liquor you can really save some $. I loved the St. Clarence Pavilion and it was a PERFECT place for a wedding reception. If you’re interested in an outdoor-type venue, this is a nice middle ground (stand-alone building, but doors open to deck overlooking a wooded area). There is no air conditioning, but with the big ceiling fans on and doors open, the temperature was perfect. As a side note – I went and dropped off items at the Pavilion the day before (centerpiece items for Finishing Touch to set up, guest book/frame, candles for tables outside, card box, cake cutting stuff, bathroom basket, etc.). I did a quick walk through and looked in all areas – there were some random items in the back nook by the fireplace…if you have your reception here, try to go the day before and take a quick peek through for random items – I just moved them to the back room behind the bar area.
