wanted to leave a detailed review, but went over the allowed words. so to simplify. had to go between Lana Addison and Alexia's bridal salon (sister salons) started at alexia's where they didn't get the dress i had requested for my first appointment. said they couldn't get it, that the designer wasn't lending it out. but when i contacted the designer, she said they never asked. so they went back and got that dress along with 2 other dresses for my next fitting, that my mom bought a plane ticket to come to. contacted me just before my appointment to tell me they couldn't get the one dress again, but could the next week. my mom paid to have her flight changed and we went the week after. loved the one dress, ordered it, being told it was in the high 4 thousands. got home and the Lana Addison salon called saying the price was wrong it was $5,500. the dress was already pushing my budget, but i said yes, because at that point i thought of it as "the dress" and i loved it. i had spoken with the alterations woman at Alexia, when trying on the dress, with a concern about the cut of the sides of the dress, and she assured me she could fix it. but when it came time to try on the dress and have alterations done, they sent me to the Lana Addison salon. when i was there on my first visit, i was give an estimate for $480.00 for alterations, showed them what i wanted fixed, talked about what other adjustments needed to be made, and went back home. i wasn't completely happy with one of the alterations (the one i talked to the alterations woman at alexia's about) it just didn't look great, instead of having a line with a natural flow, it was somewhat broken and didn't flow well. they also forgot to do the bustle, so i had to come back (i live 2/2 hours away one way). i came back, said it was fine (honestly, i just wanted my dress and to be done with the entire process), went to take the dress with me and they said i needed to come back so it could be pressed. i told them i couldn't because of distance, so they quickly wrapped it up for me while i waited. they charged me what the estimate was for alterations, even though there were alterations listed on the estimate that were not done (the hem and taking in the back), and when i mentioned that to her and asked if it was still $480.00 she said it was still the same price. i absolutely love my dress, but if i could have gotten it ANYWHERE else (the nearest other salon i found that carries the two designers was in Atlanta which is 9 hours away) i would have done so. i was disappointed with every step of the process and saddened that what is supposed to be such a "beautiful moment" was something i just wanted to be done with. i should add, the sales person that i dealt with at alexia's, Leah, was very nice.
