Alexia’s (Raleigh) has a large, private area for brides to try on dresses. Their selection of exquisite gowns is extensive, and our consultant did a fine job of listening to my daughter and selecting appropriate dresses - the very first dress was exactly what she had envisioned. She was then given the opportunity to try on a range of dresses to both consider other possibilities and confirm that the initial dress was indeed her favorite.
We also discussed combining a bodice from one gown with the skirt from another. At this point another associate joined us; while initially pleasant and helpful, at the conclusion of our appointment she employed the sort of unpleasant, high-pressure sales tactics more typical of a used car dealer (especially appalling to encounter in this context, and a disappointing end to what had so far been a lovely experience). I regret having spent any of our limited wedding planning time together at Alexia’s and cannot recommend them to other brides.
I bought my Sareh Nouri wedding gown here in November 2020 (wedding April 2022) during a trunk show for the designer I ultimately ended up choosing a dress from. My Raleigh-based wedding planner recommended Alexia’s to me. My experience choosing a gown here was fine, the bridal consultant listened to me and allowed me to try on any dress I wanted. She did try to stay within budget I originally said, however we ended up telling her to pull gowns we wanted regardless of price. I do wish they had a broader selection of designers’ gowns available during “trunk shows”.
The reason for my low rating is alterations. I made the horrible mistake of having my gown alterations done by an Alexia’s seamstress. In all, it took 5 alteration appointments and over $1300 to get the gown to fit and make a very minor style adjustment. I was initially quoted $1100 for alterations just to get the gown to fit. My seamstress would make alterations that ended up then having the gown fit worse and had to be corrected. My dress did not fit for my bridal portraits and my dress didn’t fit until my final fitting the week of my wedding.
I live several states away and ended up having to take time off of work and FLY to Raleigh for my fitting appointments because they have no weekend availability (was not disclosed to me before committing to alterations at Alexia’s). This was a stressful part of wedding planning no bride should subject herself to. It’s essentially highway robbery.
The experience at Alexia’s is MAGICAL! Megan took such great care of us while we were there and made sure we knew everything about the process and the gowns I was trying on throughout my appointment. She was so knowledgeable about the designers!! She also immediately appreciated my style and selected a variety of dresses for me - but could tell right away which dress was “the one.” Alexis herself went above and beyond to get a veil sent over from her other store for me to try and then called a designer directly to order a customized veil. Truly an incredible customer service experience! I’d recommend Alexia’s to any bride looking for a gown in the Raleigh area!
Beware ! This salon’s customer service is a zero.
They talk a big game and deliver nothing but extremely outrageous bills. Our alterations were $1300 and my daughter was not allowed to try the gown on at final pick up. Of course, we had to have it redone upon arrival at home because it did not fit! And the buttons starting falling off the back of the gown at the reception! A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! The salesclerks were snobby and our business very much unappreciated. The worst experience I’ve ever had with a high end boutique.
I’d shop anywhere you’d be welcomed before I’d ever do business with this company again. I intend to file a formal complaint with The Raleigh Better Business Bureau . It is shameful how they treat people.
Alexia' and the sister store Lana Addison were by far my best dress shopping experiences! I am a very analytical decision maker and went to EVERY store in the triangle and ended being torn between all dresses that came from Alexias! The whole team was so helpful and patient giving me styling ideas and different ways to pick. I found my dream dress that is unique and gorgeous and had all the fun and excitement of picking it out that I have always imagined!
While I never dreamed about fitting sessions Im thrilled to say I also have utmost faith in the alterations they are doing for me. I come from a fashion background and the tailoring they suggested was perfect and having it done through the same store was so helpful. Great experience, a wide range of price points and I would recommend them to everyone!
Initial experience trying on dresses was wonderful. Found a perfect dress, and wanted a custom veil. When the veil came in it was the wrong color, bright white while the dress was more of a cream color. Pointed it out on the first fitting appointment. Consultant offered to get the swatch of a different color and call me to tell me if it matched. Heard nothing. Next appointment I asked about the veil. They tried to gaslight me, "oh, I don't know, maybe you wanted a veil that didn't match." Please. Anyway they did finally make it right, and my veil and dress were perfect. The gaslighting on the veil lost them a star.
Terrible experience . This was, without a doubt, the worse experience I have ever had with a store. They ruined my daughter's dress. Truly ruined it with their poor quality alterations. Their customer service is non existence. I was told that Alexia was out of cell phone coverage and could not be reached when a hard decision needed to be made... seriously. Could not be reach! Treat your customers right. Oh, the salesperson hung up on me too...unreal! Their solution required a 4th day off work, and two 2 and half hour drives to re do the dress. We don't have time ! They should refund every penny for the poor quality of the alterations. That is the solution I asked for, and all would be forgiven. They got their money for the purchase of the dress. I will be sure and send pictures of the alterations to the designer. I am sure she will be appalled that her dresses are leaving this store is this shape.
What fun to be treated like a princess!! They really listened to my vision and provided me with the perfect dress! I tried on eight gowns at Alexia’s, they were all luxurious and near price point. My choice was tailored to perfection once it came in from the designer. Talented team!!
Wonderful service!!!!!!!! Breathtaking dresses!!!!!!!!!! thry captured my look perfectly and I couldn't be more pleased with my dress, alertstikns, and attention from the staff. I got my bridesmaid dresses here and MOB dress too. Couldn't recommend enough.
I visited Alexia's a few weeks ago, and I had the best experience! My consultant Savannah was amazing, and pulled some beautiful dresses for me to try on. We sipped champagne and relaxed while she picked the dresses. It was the ultimate bridal boutique experience! Unfortunately I did not find my dress here, but I loved working with Savannah, and I would recommend this shop to any bride in the Raleigh area!
Our daughter, Allie, and I had a simply wonderful first ever wedding dress appointment experience at Alexia's with our consultant Nicole. She managed to take in all the descriptions that were thrown at her to come in to the dressing room with the most perfect and stunning dress! The first dress and only dress we ever tried on! Not to mention, the just right veil and shoes to go with!! Then happy tears and champagne!!:) The rest of the staff, especially Savannah, were all so very supportive and enthusiastic through out the whole process from group trying on cheers and picture taking, to purchase, to checking in with us along the way, to fittings and alterations, to final pickup!!
**Alexia's also offered us a discount on bridesmaids dresses ordered through them, as we had bought the wedding gown there. Since we were trying to be cost efficient and make it easy for the girls, this seemed like a great idea to go with... Here's where we ran in to a bit of an issue... the recommended sizing of the dresses ended up being way off and Alexia's policy does not offer exchanges or alterations on the bridesmaids dresses. The subsequent significant alterations costs and concern incurred by each girl ended up out weighing the original cost and ease benefits we were shooting for...but..
the end result was a beautiful bride and bridesmaids!!

I went into Alexia's last year with really no idea what I was looking for in a wedding dress. From the moment I walked in I felt comfortable and welcome. Everyone who worked with me was absolutely fabulous. They listened to things I liked and didn't like and in the end helped me find the perfect dress!! The seamstress was amazing and the dress fit perfectly. I had a wonderful experience here!!
I said YES to the first dress my mother picked and the second dress I tried on; we had a wonderful experience at Alexia’s. My Saturday appointment was cancelled due to a snow storm, however, they kindly made arrangements to open both boutiques on Sunday to accommodate us. I not only found THE perfect dress for me, but I also found a gorgeous veil and a beautiful skirt to wear during my wedding ceremony. For my reception I was able to remove the skirt to change the whole appearance of my dress. I received the most flattering compliments on my wedding gown. It was such an exciting and fun experience for us, all six of us! All the staff were helpful and kind through the entire process. Make sure alteration cost is in your budget, can be pricey. Highly recommend Alexia’s!
THE most beautiful bridal salon, I knew my dress had to come from Alexia's. I was pretty sure I knew the style I was looking for however I really enjoyed trying on alternative styles just to be sure. Everyone at Alexia's was so accommodating & made me feel like they had all the time in the world to help me find the perfect dress & I bought it the first day. I only wish I could redo my wedding day every year so I could wear more of their gorgeous gowns!
I went in to Alexia's this past Friday to try on dresses for the first time. I was pretty nervous but was instantly greeted by their staff and Savannah my consultant. While the rest of my party was running a little late Savannah and I were able to review my pinterest board and go over what I envisioned myself in. Savannah pulled an eclectic mix of dresses and on my fourth attempt we found my dream dress! I couldn't stop smiling once it was on and we could all tell it was the dress. Savannah worked with us and showed professionalism, patience and kindness through every step of the way. I highly recommend requesting Savannah and working with her. I am so excited to see my dress again soon!
I had a wonderful experience selecting my wedding dress from Alexia's. All of the consultants were friendly and the salon is beautiful! I wasn't sure what style of dress would fit my wedding style best and these ladies pointed me in the right direction and helped me stay within budget. I could not be happier with the level of service I received throughout the whole fitting process and highly recommend them!
After shopping at Alexia's sister store in Cary and not finding anything that wowed me, I was told Alexia's had some openings from cancellations that afternoon if I wanted to pop in. I went by and was assigned a consultant, and while I was waiting showed my Pinterest board of favorite gowns to Alexia. She asked what I liked about a particular gown and then said "I have something I think you'll like." Go figure, the one she had in mind was "the one." It was a Vera Wang sample dress that I NEVER thought I'd be able to afford in my budget, but she gave me a pretty killer price for committing to it that day. Additional alterations were about of third of the dress price itself (so beware of the dreaded alterations!) but those would have been expensive anywhere. All in all I had a lovely experience and am so happy Alexia and my consultant, Kate, helped me find my dream dress!
Top Notch!
The entire experience was great.. from the dress quality to the service to the atmosphere to the alterations... If you have champagne taste like I do, this is your place!
I loved my entire experience at Alexia's Bridal. The gown selection there was wonderful and I found my dress on my first visit! Everyone was helpful from beginning to end and I thoroughly recommend them to any bride-to-be!
I purchased my gown from Alexia's and had a great experience from start to finish. Their customer service is wonderful and they were very attentive. The price point is high, but if it is in your budget they are worth every penny!
For an upscale bridal boutique, all the bridal consultants and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating! I bought my dress in the lower price range for their store and felt like I was the same priority as a customer in the top tier price range. My consultant did an amazing job pulling styles that related to the suggestions I gave her. Also, their seamstress did a fantastic job altering my dress to fit like a glove. As a result I truly had the perfect wedding gown for my special day!
I bought my dress at Alexia's. While yes, the dress was beautiful on my wedding day, we were not at all satisfied with the service. When my dress was delivered to the shop, they badgered me with calls to pay my balance on the dress immediately. I was a little taken aback, as I hadn't actually seen the gown yet. They insisted that I was required to pay it immediately, regardless of having seen it, which was frustrating.
I had a total of 4 fittings. The seamstress was very pushy, and would say things like "it's fine that way, just leave it" when I asked her to adjust something with the dress. We spent THOUSANDS of dollars with them, and we were't inclined to be told what was and wasn't "fine." (In addition to the thousands we spent on the dress, the alterations totaled almost 1,000 dollars! Very pricey.) For my first 3 fittings, we had the same bridal rep, Amanda, in the room with us each time, and she would help us work with the seamstress. We really liked her. When it came time for my final fitting, she wasn't there! They said "Oh, well Brittany is sick (I still have no idea who Brittany is) so Amanda was needed in the other shop (Lana Addison in Cary)." What really annoyed me was that I had called that morning to ask if I could come in at an earlier time, and no one had mentioned that she would be out.
All in all, it seemed like they want to be a high-class shop but it just wasn't up to par.
The staff at Alexia's was incredibly helpful and nice. They helped me find a gorgeous dress within my budget and then with the help of their amazing seamstress, they made alterations to create my perfect dream dress! Everyone commented on how beautiful my dress was and I am so happy that I went to Alexia's!
Not only was I able to find my Vera Wang wedding dress here but we also were able to find all 5 of my bridesmaids the most beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown as well! Ironically I booked my appointment here last minute after turning up a google search over Thanksgiving break... I had zero intentions of actually finding my dress that day seeing as I had booked another appointment elsewhere for later that afternoon. Everyone here was welcoming and easy to work with. They stayed in touch throughout the year as dresses came in and of course throughout alterations (which also turned out beyond perfect!). My mom even found herself a dress, which turned out to be absolutely stunning as well :) Not sure what we would've done without Alexia's...but glad we didn't have to find out!
I have been thinking about this review for months because it was either going to be 5 stars or 1 star, and I really wasn't going to know until a few weeks before my April 2014 wedding. To make a long story long...
I found my dress in May of 2013 - a gorgeous ivory lace over taupe silk taffeta gown. I knew it would be perfect after we added a few elements - which the sales associate and the owner confirmed they could do after the dress came in. But it was the unexpected color that sold me on the dress.
So I put a deposit on it that day, waited about a month to get measurements, and the order was submitted to the designer in June 2013. The dress came in right before Thanksgiving... and considering the holidays were coming up, I decided to wait to begin my fittings until January when the holiday parties (and food) were behind me.
In January, I had two bridesmaids visiting for the weekend, and Alexia's was gracious enough to set up a quick appointment so I could try on the dress with my friends. I opened the bag and the dress looked a bit different than I remembered, so I put it on, looked in the mirror, and immediately realized it was the wrong color. It was basically ivory on ivory.
As it turned out, the dress came in several colors, including ivory/taupe (what I wanted), and ivory/nude. The order form was written as ivory/nude, and I signed it because I thought (and/or was informed) that the designer's name for "taupe" was "nude."
I was so grateful that the owner agreed to send the gown back and have it remade in the right color (and that the designer agreed to take it back), but it was going to be a tight timeline and wouldn't come in until March. When it did come in we had 4 weeks to spare. Their tailor did an amazing job on complicated alterations, and in the end the dress and the overall experience with Alexia's was perfect.
They will do everything in their power to make sure that you are happy with you wedding dress. I would recommend shopping with Alexia's if you're looking for high-end, personalized, quality service and a gorgeous gown.
The dress I found at Alexia's was a sample sale dress, which means I was buying the dress I was trying on "as is." It was a size 10 dress and I am a size 4. The sales associates assured me this wasn't an issue and told us alterations would likely be $300-400. It was a gorgeous strapless lace dress by Liancarlo. When I brought the dress to a very well rated seamstress the cost of alterations was $1000! This was because the dress was lace, and the lace went over the seam. The dress needed to be reconstructed with such a large change in size. Has I known the alterations were going to cost that much I certainly would have kept looking. Although our service at Alexia's was good, I felt that their sales associates should have better knowledge about alterations in order to prevent something like this from happening. In the end, the seamstress did a fabulous job and I was very happy with my dress, but was not 100% satisfied with my experience at Alexia's.
My sister bought her dress from here and I did the same after going to two other stories. They service was sometimes slow at appointments but the overall product was nice.
Alexia's staff were wonderful to work with and accommodated me to the best of their ability. I live out of town, and they worked with my schedule and the 1.5 hour travel time for my fittings. The staff was patient and willing to share their knowledge and creativity. The dress I found was strapless, but a couple of month's before the wedding, I decided to add lace applique cap sleeves to my dress. They had 2 seamstresses working on my dress to get it done in time for my bridal portraits. The dress turned out beautifully and fit perfectly! Thank you, Alexia's, for helping me find the perfect dress!
Accommodating, friendly, elegant. It is everything you could dream of in an upscale Bridal Boutique. You're surrounded in white, grey and lavender hues, sparkling furniture etc. The basically saved me by letting me buy a GORGEOUS sample dress off the floor 4 weeks before my wedding (long story!). The tailor Victoria was fantastic. The associates are down-to-earth and very nice. For a couteur experience, go to Alexia's Bridal Boutique in Raleigh!
wanted to leave a detailed review, but went over the allowed words. so to simplify. had to go between Lana Addison and Alexia's bridal salon (sister salons) started at alexia's where they didn't get the dress i had requested for my first appointment. said they couldn't get it, that the designer wasn't lending it out. but when i contacted the designer, she said they never asked. so they went back and got that dress along with 2 other dresses for my next fitting, that my mom bought a plane ticket to come to. contacted me just before my appointment to tell me they couldn't get the one dress again, but could the next week. my mom paid to have her flight changed and we went the week after. loved the one dress, ordered it, being told it was in the high 4 thousands. got home and the Lana Addison salon called saying the price was wrong it was $5,500. the dress was already pushing my budget, but i said yes, because at that point i thought of it as "the dress" and i loved it. i had spoken with the alterations woman at Alexia, when trying on the dress, with a concern about the cut of the sides of the dress, and she assured me she could fix it. but when it came time to try on the dress and have alterations done, they sent me to the Lana Addison salon. when i was there on my first visit, i was give an estimate for $480.00 for alterations, showed them what i wanted fixed, talked about what other adjustments needed to be made, and went back home. i wasn't completely happy with one of the alterations (the one i talked to the alterations woman at alexia's about) it just didn't look great, instead of having a line with a natural flow, it was somewhat broken and didn't flow well. they also forgot to do the bustle, so i had to come back (i live 2/2 hours away one way). i came back, said it was fine (honestly, i just wanted my dress and to be done with the entire process), went to take the dress with me and they said i needed to come back so it could be pressed. i told them i couldn't because of distance, so they quickly wrapped it up for me while i waited. they charged me what the estimate was for alterations, even though there were alterations listed on the estimate that were not done (the hem and taking in the back), and when i mentioned that to her and asked if it was still $480.00 she said it was still the same price. i absolutely love my dress, but if i could have gotten it ANYWHERE else (the nearest other salon i found that carries the two designers was in Atlanta which is 9 hours away) i would have done so. i was disappointed with every step of the process and saddened that what is supposed to be such a "beautiful moment" was something i just wanted to be done with. i should add, the sales person that i dealt with at alexia's, Leah, was very nice.
My mom and I want to Alexia's first. The shop was beautiful and you get the personal attention that you deserve. We worked with Leah that day, but all the girls were great though the whole process. I went in with one idea of what I wanted, and ended up finding that "the one" was actually the exact opposite. Alexia was there in the shop and helped Leah pull dresses for me the whole time; they were so good at figuring out what would look good on me. They were very professional and the total experience. We went to other shops after Alexia's, but came back that same day to purchase the dress because you really do get the whole experience and their dresses are gorgeous!
Alexia's made my wedding dress shopping experience perfect! I found my dress here the first time I visited the boutique and immediately knew it was the one! From then on, the staff was so helpful making sure everything was perfect for the big day, from fittings, to making sure my dress was steamed and perfect for my bridal portraits! I would definitely recommend Alexia's to future brides!
Alexia and her staff saved the day! I was having my wedding dress made, and it turned out horrible. On the same day, i called Alexia's bridal boutique and explained what i had just been through, they worked me in their schedule same day. Everyone at the boutique was friendly and professional. I felt immediately at ease. It was a true Bridal experience, what you can only hope for, and I left that day with the dress of my dreams:)
I live in NYC and went to all of the wedding dress shops here and none compared to Alexia's. The dresses are so well kept, the team Caroline, Alexia, Colleen etc. are amazing! They know how to select which dresses will be a good fit for you and your venue and are great at really listening but offering a helpful hand. After I purchased my dress here, I loved them even more. Every appt. was easy - they are so buttoned up and professional. Lastly, Colleen altered my dress honestly better than i could have ever imagined and i had some changes! She has an amazing vision and is so talented. I could not be happier. I think this is the best a wedding shop can get!

I loved my bridal gown and veil from Alexia's Bridal. Caroline did a fabulous job helping me find the perfect dress! She was fun to work with and the service was great!
Overall I found this boutique to be ipscale and highly professional. Caroline was great to work with. i got my dream Vera Wang dress here. After my bridal portraits the dress was almost torn to shreds by a local dry cleaners. Alexia and team repaired the dress to perfection and worked woth the cleaners owner for reimbursement for me.
The dress selection is the best in the state, so it was no surprise that I found my dream dress here. The staff was absolutely wonderful to work with - they stayed open late for one of my fittings to work around my busy medical school schedule. Caroline was so friendly and just wonderful. The did everything possible to make sure my dress fit perfectly, and was exactly the way I wanted it to be. I couldn't be happier with my experience. They were wonderful.
I recently visited Alexia's after my best friend got engaged this past February. We made an appointment in search of her bridal gown and came away with not only the perfect gown for her, but an overall wonderful experience. We were greeted and offered champagne or other beverage of our choice...a nice touch! Our consultant was finishing another appointment, therefore we had to wait about ten minutes or so. We then met with our consultant for, what she called a pre-appointment. She was very sweet and down-to-earth and seemed to have a good idea of what my friend wanted. She pulled roughly 6 to 8 gowns and assisted her in getting into each of them. Alexia came in and introduced herself and continued to check in on us throughout the duration of our appointment. She and our consultant were very helpful, making suggestions regarding fabric choice and gown color...even wedding blogs for inspiration! My friend commited to the most beautiful Monique Lhuillier gown and I even found my Maid-of-Honor dress by Lynn Lugo. They took our measurents and told me where I fell on the designer's size chart. At first, I was a bit put off by the size until they explained that both bridal gowns and bride's maids dresses run very small. That explained it...I was very comforted by that information!! Overall, we had a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Alexia's to anyone getting married or in search of the perfect cocktail or Mother of the bride or groom dress! Both my friend and I look forward to going back for fittings and such.
If you are a bride looking for your gown DO NOT GO HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT! When I first came into the store to try on dresses, I had a great experience. Don't fall into this trap like I did.
To the MANY list of concerns..... First, I bought the dress 2 years away from my wedding, and I was losing weight, and I didn't want to put the order in until I was closer to my final size. Well, this was in my file, and I still got calls every 2-3 mo. asking when I was coming in. I miss getting calls, even if it was really obvious NONE of their staff knew what was going on. When I get ready to go in for my first fitting with the dress, they told me I had a balance of $880. I said that's a mistake, I paid in full 2 ys ago. It was a "plus sized upcharge" which NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT. They claim that someone called me and told me, which they DIDN'T. The staff has awful record keeping and not do very standard things (sending tracking info and confirming when they sent out things to the girls, and sending them on time, etc. Giving them confirmation of sizes ordered). Also I was 100lbs heavier when I bought it, don't you think you would have told me about it then? The owner told me "it didn't seem important". Well my bridesmaids were being measured for their dresses when I was. One girl could fit into the sample dress perfectly (it was a 4), and she said she'd want to 6 (just in case). A second bridesmaid could half zip it up (she normally wears a 8), and would like a 10 to be safe. So we knew about where the sizes should be. We wanted the mini length (what the sample was). However, when writing down our order, the salesperson put down the wrong length on purpose WITHOUT TELLING ME. So I would find out when it got it. They seem to think they know better than you and will order things extra long and big so you pay more in alterations.
So we told them this was wrong. What did my girl get? A 12. Why a 12? Because they ordered them without us confirming the size for all of the dresses. So the girl that's a size 6 only got her size because she called the same day. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE ITS NOT WORTH IT.
I called the designer's corporate offices and told them what HORRIBLE service this salon is doing. After doing this was the only time I actually was able to get anyone on the phone. Because 90% of the when you call no one will answer. Don't bother leaving a message, no one will call you back.
So through some miracle, my dress wasn't very off on size. Which is good, because their alterations are horrible also. So the less they have to do, the better. When my dress came in, the sash was the wrong color. So they ordered me a new sash. It took them over a month to get the right color when it was supposed to be there much faster. I got it the day before my portraits. And the size 12 dres? Fell off the girl. They comped the fittings, but I wish I had taken it to someone else because it was the worst alteration work I've ever seen. A week before the wedding (they think its ok). I had my bridesmaid take the dress and they're having to rush at a tailors to make it even presentable. It was like she didn't even know how to work with the fabric. The hem is crooked, and bumpy and gathered. They had it for close to two months and I could have butchered it less myself.
Bottom line: you can buy these dresses from anywhere else, and you should. Their staff is horrible, they are always late late on deadlines, and the alterations quality is poor at best.
I had a wonderful experience with my dress. Alexias staff is so nice and their gowns are simply gorgeous. Although their dresses can be on the pricey side my consultant Rebecca worked really well to work with our budget. The gowns were all so gorgeous and I found the absolute perfect one! The only down side is I had to get off of work early for my fittings as they do not have appointments on the weekend unless you are from out of state. The staff is so nice and if you want a really special experience you should really check them out.
Before coming to Alexia's, I had given up on finding bridesmaid dresses- at one shop I went to, I had awful customer service, another closed it's doors after I found dresses and another just did not have what I was looking for. I went to Alexia's on a recommendation from my photographer (Neil Boyd) and while I did not wind up purchasing my bridesmaid dresses at Alexia's (long story having nothing to do with Alexia's), I experienced excellent customer service there. I wanted my bridemaids to wear a dark turquoise dress that I was having a hard time finding anywhere. Alexia's sent a swatch of my fabric directly to the designer Lynn Lugo (!) and while the color could not be matched in the dress I picked out on my first visit, Alexia's coordinated the shipment of 2 dresses to the store that were similar to my favorite that they definitely could match the color in. Alexia's also offers a discount on the Lynn Lugo dresses if your maids purchase 3 or more, which was something I did not see in other dress shops in the area. Throughout the whole process, they were very communicative and great to work with. They even fit me in with only 2 days notice, on a busy Saturday when they were short-staffed. I highly recommend Alexia's! And while I am not getting my bridesmaid dresses there, they do have a nice selection of designer cocktail dresses that I plan to purchase from for all of my wedding festivities.
This is the most beautiful salon I visited in the Triangle with an amazing selection of dresses. Alexia and her staff worked within my budget to help me find an exquisite Vera Wang dress that I loved. Rebecca was the sales associate who assisted me and she was always attentive and genuinely happy for me whenever I came in. Colleen did my alterations and did a superb job. I highly recommend this shop.
My maid of honor and I went to Alexia's bridal and were the only customers in the shop, which was great. The service is fantastic, but went from very helpful to a super hard sell in minutes! They did not have the style of dress I was looking for, and at one point we had 4 different staff members as well as the owner standing around us trying to convince us to make an appointment the next day to meet with a designer to custom make the dress I had in mind. Great idea, but way out of my budget! They would not let us leave until we acutally made the appointment for the next day, which I had no intention of keeping. We just wanted to leave! Nice place if you are definitely going to buy something on the spot, but beware if you try to leave empty handed!
The best bridal shop around! They stayed within my budget and made me feel so comfortable. Love them!
I had such a good experience picking out my bridal gown at Alexia's. The employees are so helpful and it is obvious that they love their job. They focused all their attention to help me pick out the perfect dress.
I bought my wedding dress at Alexia's and I could not have been happier! Michael and Rebecca were so patience and friendly while I tried on multiple dresses, and the Monique Lhuillier I finally purchased was perfect. I traveled from Charlotte to Cary to go to Alexia's...and it was well worth the drive! Thank you for helping to make my wedding day so amazing!
Everyone at Alexia's is amazing. The service was so much better and more personal than any of the other shops I looked at in the triangle area. I found my dress during a trunk show, but the staff was great at helping me with bridesmaids dresses, fittings, etc. It is by far the nicest dress shop in the triangle area!
I had an awful experience at Alexia's Bridal. My experience was so bad, even though I bought a dress there, I bought a second dress at Priscilla of Boston's because I couldn't even look at the gown from Alexia's Bridal.
As soon as I paid for my dress ($3,400), the sales associate's attitude toward myself was snooty and unwelcome. Every time I contacted her she sounded disinterested and acted like she was doing a favor talking to me. When my bridesmaids accompanied me to my fittings, has showed no respect, and repeatedly reprimanded them for "touching" the dresses.
The alterations were atrocious. Because the dress was not ordered to my size, the seamstress took the sides of the dress in and did a very poor job, making the alterations glaringly obvious. On the back of the dress, the silk dupioni was bunching up above my bottom--making it look like I had a diaper on! When one of my bridesmaids pointed this out to the seamstress, she looked dumbfounded and did not give any possible solutions to the problem. My bridesmaid had to come up with a solution--and she's not even a seamstress. Additionally, when I asked the seamstress what type of material my gown was made of, she had no idea. I find it absurd that Alexia's employs seamstresses to work with fabric that they don't even know the name of. Again, my bridesmaid had to inform me that my gown was made of silk dupioni.
During my second fitting, the sales rep didn't even come to help me answer questions. She was busy eating popcorn at the front desk. Any time I had a question, she just yelled back to me in response. I was very frustrated with the second fitting, and she showed no interest in helping me with the problems caused by seamstress's alterations.
When I tried to talk to the owner, Alexia, about my dissatisfaction with her quality of services, she YELLED at me in the front of the store. She is unprofessional, pretentious, and not looking out for her customers' best interest.
MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR CONTRACT BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING. They will try to rip you off and overcharge you for everything and anything.
The girls at Alexia's bridal were extremely professional and organized. The dress selection is wonderful. The level of attention and service was good, but the alterations were not what I hoped for. After getting back the wedding pictures, I was disappointed to see that the scalloping on my dress was not visible, as the seamstress made the lace too short in the front. This was something that we mentioned to her on several occasions, but that she failed to correct. Considering the price of the dress, this was unacceptable. I would have used a different seamstress if I knew this would be the result.
The most helpful and attentive staff! They worked with me to alter and make my gown the PERFECT gown for my wedding day!!
i wish i bought my dress here. i found it out after i had bought my dress but they are a nice boutique bridal salon and the service is very professional
I bought my dress-- a 2004 Vera Wang-- 13 months before our wedding date from Alexia's. We went to every shop in the triangle before Alexias, unintentionally saving the best for last. The staff is amazing, the dresses are kept in amazing shape and the tailor, Coleen, was able to work absolute magic on my gown! I loved every fitting, which my mom and I coined "dress visitation days" due to the excitement of each experience.
I love Alexia and her team. My dress was perfect and I'm going to miss going in to see them!
I showed up on-time, but sales staff were swamped and started 45 minutes AFTER the scheduled appointment. I didn't have a problem with this until my friend and I were rushed through the end of the dressing room 30 minutes into our hour-long appointment.
We were explicitly told that customers were not allowed to take pictures of the dresses on. Yet in the dressing room next door, a mother and her bride were snapping pictures...without a peep from the salesperson.
Salesperson helped me into the more expensive dresses and left me to help myself into the less expensive gowns that I had picked out. I tried on a white bridesmaid dress and considered purchasing one as a bridal gown and the salesperson informed me that was not possible, as "bridesmaids dresses could only be ordered in multiples". When asked about having only one bridesmaid, the salesperson was flummoxed - a sign of a lie (and a terrible one at that).
When it was clear I was not going to purchase a dress from her during the appointment, she moved on to her next appointment. It was then that I realized she didn't bring in all the dresses that I had selected before the appointment (as they had requested).
If the sales staff weren't so inattentive and pushy, I probably would have purchased an Amy Kuschel dress there. However, the service was so bad, I just couldn't. A waste of my time and a wasted sales opportunity.
