We are fully booked for 2021 and 2022 and are happily accepting 2023 weddings at this time.

I don’t know if I have enough words to describe how incredible Kelly and the ABU team are! They are truly worth their weight in gold.
When I messaged Kelly, we had our wedding date and the venues booked – but that was it... for a wedding that was in five months.
I wasn’t even sure what the next steps were, but once we connected with Kelly, she just took it from there. She made every step of the process simple. She got to know my style, honestly probably better than I know my style, and came up with incredible design ideas and allowed me to pick which ones I liked best. The same goes for vendors – we would get a list of Kelly’s top choices that were available for our date, and she would have us pick our favorite. The pictures speak for themselves on the incredible work! And when I tell you every vendor said they loved working with Kelly, were excited to be working with her again, and “that we were in the best hands”, I mean every single one told us this and they are not wrong!
Getting ready to head to the hotel for the rehearsal and our wedding weekend, I almost felt as if I was forgetting something because it was that easy. I just had to make sure I had my rehearsal dinner dress and wedding dress – Kelly had everything else handled!
The wedding weekend was perfect, and Kelly and the ABU made sure everyone and everything was taken care. From hair and makeup schedules (having been in multiple weddings, let me tell you how huge this is!), food for the bridal party, making sure everyone is on time, steaming our dresses, the list goes on and on. ABU goes above and beyond. It doesn’t just stop once your wedding is over – little did I know about some of the follow-up items that are needed after the wedding, but Kelly had those handled. When there were questions, she was just as responsive and handled everything as quickly after the wedding as before.
Kelly is extremely organized, with great attention to detail and professionalism. Her warm, welcoming personality makes her a joy to work with, but don't let that fool you, she makes sure stuff gets done! I cannot recommend Kelly and ABU enough if you are looking for your dream wedding and a planning process that feels easy.
If you're considering hiring a wedding planner, look no further! Kelly (and the All Buttoned Up team) made our wedding planning process not only seamless, but incredibly enjoyable and memorable. Kelly's organization, events experience, and exquisite attention to detail made our months of planning so pleasant and stress-free. Beyond her endless coordination skills, she has the MOST compassion and calming yet bubbly energy. Her willingness to take on the "less fun" elements of planning allowed for my husband and I to put our energy into one another and into creating a meaningful celebration. If Kelly is available to help plan your daughter’s wedding and be there for the events, I suggest you jump on the opportunity! We really appreciated her organization, creativeness, thoughtfulness and dedication. We had three big challenges - a short time frame, bride and groom and us living out of town, and a venue where we needed to bring in everything. She met all the challenges and exceeded our expectations. She and her team thought of so many details and were in the background on the day of helping to coordinate all the suppliers and parts of the wedding and reception.
As the mother of the groom, I wanted to share how impressed our family was with Kelly and her team at All Buttoned Up Events. From the first meeting to the very end of the weekend event, Kelly’s professionalism and kindness were amazing. She really listened to our son and daughter-in-law’s vision, offering guidance and ideas throughout the planning process. Kelly has experience with all types of vendors; she is quick to respond to communications and very detailed oriented. I highly recommend Kelly and her amazing team! We cannot imagine our wedding without Kelly! We thought planning our wedding from a distance was going to be a huge challenge, but Kelly made it feel as if we were there, in Michigan, with her the entire time. From helping us coordinate with vendors to bringing our vision to life, she and her team ensured everything was perfect. It wasn’t just the big items, but the details as well: working with us until we were 100% happy with our paper goods, tracking the smallest details on the day of our wedding, etc.
Her suggestions were very on theme for what we were trying to achieve, and we never felt an ounce of pressure to go with one of her suggestions if it wasn’t what we wanted. She was very clear from day one that she is here to bring our vision to life, whatever we wanted. She even helped to successfully negotiate with some vendors when we were unable ourselves to get from them the result that we wanted, taking a load of stress off our shoulders.
Somehow, she always made us feel as though we were always on schedule. Even when we knew we were behind on making decisions / finalizing certain details, she made us feel as though we were right on track. We could not give Kelly a better recommendation.
I genuinely cannot capture just how incredible Kelly and her team are. From the first day we met, she made my husband and I feel calm and sure that our dream could become a reality! It is clear through every conversation that she is so passionate about what she does, and everything is executed beyond perfection! I am a sucker for small details and she was so incredibly patient with me as I made small changes to papergoods, seating charts, etc. She was also incredibly patient with us with big changes when we changed our mind a couple of times along the way. We had a large multi-event weekend, and they pulled each one off absolutely perfectly. I cannot recommend Kelly and the All Buttoned Up crew more, the wedding and the team were nothing short of magic. See the photo for just how far they will go to make the event perfect- as we were on the dock we were thinking how nice it would be to get photos in a canoe. Before we could start walking back to shore, Kelly and her team were in the boat and on their way! 100/10!!!
I could not recommend All Buttoned Up Events enough!!! We worked with McKenzie, and from start to finish she helped to make the day go beyond smoothly and ease any anxiety I had about things coming together! She made our vision the top priority, and our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her there. McKenzie & All Buttoned Up were such a blessing in so many ways, and we’re SO thankful!!! If you’re thinking about working with them DO IT, they were so great and all of our other vendors commented on how amazing McKenzie / All Buttoned Up Events was💛
ABU was very nice to work with for partial planning. My planner was very communicative throughout the whole process and I was planning my wedding three states away. Some things went wrong on my wedding day. The babysitter we hired through ABU was not used by the parents, despite me saying I did not want to have children running around. My bridesmaids' corsages were misplaced the day of my wedding (they were used as head table centerpieces), so my friends did not have any florals for my photos. My baker did not make my wedding cake right, which no one spoke up about. Around $300 of decorations never made it to the venue and it was not set up. The decor was left in a storage unit off site. The layout of my wedding was not correct, due to some technical issues with the DJ but most importantly I wanted the money box to be away from the entrance which was not followed. I was compensated for the issues after some negotiations, but it's a day I will never get back. I had a good experience choosing my vendors through ABU, but I wish I had a family member looking out for me. I expected more from ABU since we had 18 months of planning, but overall I was happy to have them help with my wedding since my family and friends are not "hands on". I talked with the owner and my wedding planner to get everything resolved and I hope they look my wedding as a learning experience so this doesn't happen to other couples.
As a DJ in the wedding industry, I get to work with so many different wedding planners & coordinators and to be honest, my personal experiences with wedding planners have not been the best... until I had the amazing privilege to work with All Buttoned Up Events! These ladies GET IT! The attention to detail, thorough communication, the care that they take with each event, their friendly staff, it all sets them apart! Anyone that gets the opportunity to work with All Buttoned Up will NOT be disappointed! They are worth MORE than the investment! Thank you ladies for all that you do!
My husband and I cannot recommend All Buttoned Up highly enough. With help from Kelly and McKenzie in particular, we were able to work through COVID-related postponements and plan a wedding from across the country. Their breadth of experience, sense of organization, and care for their couples helped us to fulfill our wedding vision. My husband and I just got married on December 30, 2021 and we selected the full service package through All Buttoned Up Events for the wedding planning/coordination.
Our wedding coordinator/planner was Alaina, and she was amazing! Although she had a busy schedule of other weddings that she was coordinating when we first started working with her, she did an amazing job helping us select vendors, giving us tons of options for all aspects of wedding planning and design, and taking the weight/stress of coordinating everything off of our shoulders.
The month prior to our wedding and the wedding day itself is where Alaina and her assistant, McKenzie really shined. Alaina coordinated and led the entire rehearsal at the church and was super helpful with in making sure everyone knew where they needed to be on the day of the wedding during the ceremony. Alaina delivered us breakfast AND lunch to our hotel rooms the morning/afternoon of the wedding, which was incredible. She even bought me a margarita to have on the party bus because the venue wasn't able to add tequila to the bar for my drink at the head table. Alaina and McKenzie took care of all of the set up and tear down at the reception (we didn't have to do any of it) and made the day super smooth. She checked in with us regularly, was always available, and always on top of everything. My husband and I literally didn't have to lift a finger the day of the wedding, we were just able to enjoy the day and relax. Alaina and McKenzie took care of everything and made our wedding day the most special day ever. I'm not sure how we would have done it without them.
To top it all off, Alaina drove to our house the next day and dropped off our cake, all of the leftover food in nice containers, and all of our gifts for us. We didn't have to clean up anything after the reception or worry about any post wedding tasks. My husband and I left the next morning and had a nice breakfast and just drove back to our house, All Buttoned Up did everything else.
From the bottom of our hearts, Alaina and her crew at All Buttoned Up did such an incredible job coordinating and planning our wedding, we really can't thank them enough. I highly recommend using All Buttoned Up for your wedding, whether it is the full package or a smaller package. They will make your day so special. It was worth every penny we spent as we now have the memory of an amazing wedding day that we will never forget, which is priceless. Thank you Alaina and All Buttoned Up for making our day amazing!! Kelly and her team were beyond amazing! We used All Buttoned Up Event’s month-of coordination package to assist with final details and day of help. This was the perfect option for us, as we had all vendors in place and needed help with coordination and making sure we didn’t miss any details. I spoke with Kelly weekly up to the event and any time in between. She always had the answers and went the extra mile to help. She kept us organized and on time the day of the wedding. She did all the behind the scenes work and checked in with the bridesmaids, groomsmen, vendors, and event space throughout the day. I am not sure how people plan a wedding without the help of Kelly and her team. If I could do it again, I would hire them from the beginning of planning. If you’re on the fence about a planner, absolutely choose All Buttoned Up Events- they will ease any wedding stress that you have!
I don't even know where to begin! We used the month of coordination services and had the pleasure of working with Alaina leading up to and on our wedding day. I live out of state, and I was really looking for peace of mind that all the details would be seen to and I wouldn't be rushing around last minute. Alaina was SO AMAZING from our multiple phone calls leading up to the wedding, detailed documents & timelines she assembled, and execution of the event. I cannot begin to thank her enough for ensuring we had the most beautiful, flawless, STRESS FREE day. I truly enjoyed every moment of my wedding day, and that is all thanks to the ABU team. Every detail was perfect ~ Alaina took care of everything and anything we needed.
I must have said at least 100 times during my wedding week that getting a coordinator is the best decision I made!! You will be in great hands with this team.
WOW. Best decision ever. we hired ABE for our wedding and chose the month of coordinator, what a game changer. McKenzie did such a great job especially on the day of the wedding making sure that everything ran smoothly and that Dan and I could just focus on having fun. it was also great having access to their rentals for things like a gift card box or cake cutter! Highly recommend!!
Kelly and her team were absolutely amazing in planning our wedding from start to finish. Not only were we an out of town couple planning for a Michigan wedding (live in Indiana), but she helped coordinate and transition everything to our new date when we had to postpone due to COVID. Everything was seamless and the wedding weekend could not have been executed more perfectly. Kelly and her All Buttoned Up Events team were easily the best money we spent for our wedding. We met Kelly back in February when we made the decision to have our wedding reception in our backyard. We had no idea what was entailed when creating a venue at our home but Kelly came in and hit the ground running. She paid close attention to our vision and was full of amazing ideas to help us pull this off. Planning a wedding during a pandemic was not easy but Kelly kept us calm, focused and helped us make and plan the wedding of our dreams.
She helped us bring our vision to life and we still can’t believe how beautiful and perfect everything was!

Thinking back on our wedding day, there is honestly no rating scale high enough to describe how absolutely amazing Kelly and her team are! If I can give one piece of advice to anyone in the planning process, it is to book All Buttoned Up Events as your wedding planner. The experience working with Kelly and her team is priceless and takes the stress out of the planning process. Every crazy idea I had or decor that I wanted, Kelly made come to life...and 10X better than I could have ever imagined! On top of that, Kelly made planning a wedding in Grand Rapids from a distance in Chicago easy peasy. Her knowledge and expertise was unmatched, and we were thrilled with all of the recommended vendors and special touches!
To us, it was the little things that Kelly did that stood out and made for an incredible experience. When we arrived for our wedding weekend, we really didn't have to do anything, as Kelly and her team had it covered. On wedding day, Kelly was by our side to ensure we got to experience every moment, from making sure we had a taste of every appetizer, to hunting me down tea when I lost my voice, ensuring we got to pass out glow sticks to our guests on the dance floor, and snagging us the first piece of late night pizza (yum)! We are so very lucky to have worked with Kelly and the team at All Buttoned Up Events!! A truly incredible team that goes above and beyond anything you can hope for on your wedding day!
If I could give All Buttoned Up Events more than five stars, I 1000% would. Kelly and her team were absolutely incredible to work with and I cannot recommend ABU enough. Not only was my wedding quite the feat as we battled the ever-changing pandemic mandates, I was also working with her from across the country. I am not sure what it is like to plan a wedding outside of these conditions, but Kelly made it feel like a breeze. If you are looking for a wedding planner that is highly organized, extremely good at her job and just an overall joy to be around, look no further than Kelly. Her organization, eye for design and ability to envision your dream wedding are truly a gift. As she certainly did most of the heavy lifting, she made wedding planning feel fun and stress free, while I very well know it can be quite the opposite. Additionally, the day of my wedding went off without a hitch, and it truly would not have been as seamless if it weren't for Kelly. Just as early as she was up in the morning to make sure everything was perfect, she stayed up just as late to make sure everything was taken care of after the reception. From picking up breakfast for my 10 bridesmaids, last minute steaming of my dress (it had an extremely long train might I add), perfecting every detail of the 200+ person reception, to driving across town multiple times and keeping everyone/everything on schedule, she did it all with grace and ease. That not only speaks volumes to her dedication to her job, but her character and commitment to the brides/families she works with. Thank you Kelly and team for creating my fairy tale wedding. It will forever be one of my favorite days and I feel so lucky we were able to work with you. If you are looking for a wedding planner to create your dream wedding, you are in the right place. Highly recommend ABU. They stuck with us as long as they could through date changes due to COVID and were super flexible/accommodating when our new date conflicted with their availability. Korie - who unfortunately moved to Hawaii and no longer works for ABU - was just amazing. I imagine all other wedding planners under ABU are just as high caliber!
I am so glad that I picked All Buttoned Up to plan my wedding. I knew I wanted to be a part of the fun things (food, music, etc) and that I definitely wanted someone else to handle the nitty gritty details that didn’t interest me. From my first call with Kelly I knew that she was going to be a fantastic partner and do just that. The team at All Buttoned Up far exceeded any expectations I may have had going into this, they were responsive, creative, hard working, and an absolute delight. Alaina from All Buttoned Up is a wonderful person and did an amazing job facilitating our wedding! Since I am from out of town we talked on the phone multiple times prior to the wedding where she helped keep things on track without me feeling rushed or behind. I can't imagine our wedding day without her help with timelines, family pictures, and setting up/breaking down the venue. She is extremely friendly and I can't recommend ABU and Alaina enough!

Where do I even begin!? You need to hire All Buttoned Up Events immediately. McKenzie was our month of coordinator and I don't know how I could have done it without her. I had full faith in her to execute our plan day of and I was able to FULLY enjoy our day. I wasn't worried or stressed about a single thing. She truly went above and beyond...she even peeled my swollen feet out of my heels and helped me switch into slippers after our ceremony (now that's service)!!! I could go on and on but I will stop here and simply say hiring a wedding coordinator was the best wedding related investment we made!
I have had the pleasure of knowing Kelly and All Buttoned Up for a number of years. The ABU team planned my sister's wedding a number of years ago - when my fiance and I were starting our planning process, there was NO QUESTION about who we would use. Kelly and her team exceeded my already high expectations. She handled every twist and turn that COVID-19 brought to our planning process with ease, and she turned our vision for a backyard wedding into a true dream. Not only was the planning process and day of incredible, but the "clean-up" process was so quick, professional, and truly appreciated by my parents who hosted the backyard wedding. All Buttoned Up is the best wedding planning/coordination service! We had Alaina working with our wedding and we are SO thankful for her. We did the month of coordination services. She was so helpful, organized, patient, and responsive to us. Our main goal was to be able to be present during our day, and Alaina helped us do that. Any issues that arose, Alaina was able to handle them for us. She was very connected with our different vendors, making communication super easy. We are so thankful for Alaina and the All Buttoned Up team and would HIGHLY recommend them for your wedding.
To merely call Kelly and her team “wedding planners” is not nearly sufficient to cover the breadth of help and support we received over the past two years. I am a pandemic bride, with a date originally scheduled for Spring of 2020, moved a year later to Spring of 2021. In all of this time, Kelly and her team were present and supportive, lending a hand and checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly. We essentially had to re-plan the wedding, going from 120 people to 20. Kelly was helpful in every way possible, down to consulting on linens, menus, and pandemic-friendly seating. In fact, I slept like a baby the night before the wedding, knowing that Kelly would have everything under control. And she absolutely did. I can’t even begin to list all of the things that Kelly and her colleague Alaina did to make our day go perfectly. Every time I turned around, they were there to help. From grabbing a fresh cocktail to orchestrating the family photos, setting up a special dance with my elderly grandfather (which I am eternally grateful for), and even mailing our marriage license - they were there. As a type A person myself, it is often difficult for me to let others help. Any need I had was anticipated and met. Hire these wonderful fairy godmothers! You won’t regret it.
I cannot say enough positive things regarding All Buttoned Up. We got married in 2020 and had to change plans a few times, and we never could have done it without Kelly and the whole team at All Buttoned Up. ABU made planning fun, stress free, and turned our wedding day into the best day of our life! The whole ABU team really does button up every single detail and you cannot go wrong by hiring All Buttoned Up!
In May 2020, it was just under 6 months before my wedding, and I found myself depressed, confused, and apprehensive about the prospect of trying to navigate planning what is supposed to be the best day of my and my future husband’s life in the middle of a global pandemic. Since March, I had put all planning on pause and was too nervous to get committed to vendor contracts amid so much uncertainty. And then Kelly and her team came along.
I had not previously considered having a planner, but in this situation, I realized I needed help… and in hindsight, I needed help regardless of Covid! There is no possible way we would have been able to accomplish even 10% of the specialness in our day without Kelly and her team throughout the planning process and the day of. She seriously helped all my dreams – all the big and small details – come true.
Kelly immediately got to work with me to assess where I was and what our first steps were going to be to get vendors lined up, details confirmed, and guests informed that we were moving forward with our wedding in November 2020. We live in Chicago but wanted to have our special day in Grand Rapids, and Kelly helped us pull it off very easily. Kelly and her team are exceptionally efficient and make the best use of everyone’s time, which is a huge benefit to have while trying to plan and work fulltime.
All the vendors Kelly connected me with – catering, bar service, hair and makeup, DJ, floral, linens, transportation, hotel blocks, paper goods, etc. – were all FANTASTIC. And I honestly would not have found any of them on my own…. Which would have drastically changed the entire experience for us and our guests.
All Buttoned Up Events is worth every single penny. Seriously. I would partner again with Kelly in a heartbeat and would recommend this company to anyone who is getting married. Despite where I mentally and emotionally started out with Kelly in this process because of Covid, I quickly started to have fun again because of Kelly. And, it wasn’t just me. My parents, fiancé, and bridesmaids all loved every moment of the planning process with Kelly’s help. After our first visit with Kelly, my Mom, fiance and I returned home and my Dad was floored by how happy we all were. We were all excited to plan again, and I had started to regain hope that our special day was actually going to happen. This has left me with not only the most perfect wedding day, but such fun memories in the planning process that I will cherish forever.
My family, bridesmaids and I still look back on the day and can’t think of a SINGLE thing that went wrong. Long and short – All Buttoned Up is exceptional, and you should really stop your planning and coordination search efforts here. You won’t find anyone that is better to work with and that is as committed to making all your dreams come true than Kelly and her team.
First off, Kelly and Ann were awesome for my daughter's wedding in Lawton, Michigan. My husband and future son-in-law both insisted there was no need for a wedding planner, a waste of money they both stated. Well, after the event they both commented on how great Kelly and Ann were on the wedding day, worth the money they told me.
These ladies made sure every little detail was perfect on the wedding day. Kelly pinned all the boutonnieres on the groomsmen and fathers. Ann washed all the muddy pumpkins that my daughter insisted on having at her wedding. We ran out of water and the ladies ran to the store to get more water during the reception. At the end of the evening, as we were saying goodbye to guests, Kelly and Ann were packing everything up and loading it into the suburban, during a heavy downpour. These ladies are rockstars.
Kelly sends an itinerary before the event so everyone knows what to expect for the rehearsal and wedding day. After the ceremony, Kelly was organizing people to have their picture taken with the bride and groom while Ann was making sure the church was cleaned up, she picked up all the rose petals the flower girl tossed. The ladies then hurried to the venue to greet the guests, while the bridal party stayed back for photos.
From meeting me to unload the suburban at set up, to packing the suburban back up, Kelly and Ann were there by our side. They checked in with me to see if I was having fun during the reception and if they needed to do anything for me or my daughter. These ladies were fabulous and by the end of the event, they were like family. They knew our names and what we needed. I have three more children that will one day be married and I will recommend All Buttoned Up Events to them, well really I will insist they use their service.
Thank you Kelly and Ann for all your detailed planning, for making Amber's day so special, and thank you for putting up with all our requests. Thank you for being so awesome and making Amber's day perfect. You will be a permanent memory of this special wedding day.
Alaina and her team were an absolute dream to work with. Certainly during COVID and having to rework our wedding plans a number of times, but I imagine she would have been just as amazing during a typical wedding season as well.
She helped bring together everything I had hoped for my wedding day and more. We absolutely could not have done it without her!
As the mother of the bride, I truly can't say enough about Kelly and All Buttoned Up Events. She was outstanding as she put together the plans for our daughter's original 200 plus guest wedding.....then Covid-19 became everyone's reality. Our daughter and now son-in-law, still wanted to get married on their original date. Kelly, who was maneuvering through an ever changing situation, arranged an alternative venue, the catering, and everything in between for the most gorgeous 24 person event. AND she balanced all this while contacting all vendors involved with the original plan and is doing " wedding part 2" next April to celebrate with all the family and friends unable to attend because of the pandemic.

Kelly and her team planned and executed our backyard wedding - a day that could not have been more perfect thanks to All Buttoned Up. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is no joke - I think we planned about 3 weddings as the rules continued to change so quickly and Kelly didn't miss a beat during the entire process. She was able to pivot from a 250-guest downtown loft wedding to a small tent wedding in our own backyard. The day would not have been possible without her relationships with vendors and excellent communication skills. She's simply the best.

I don't even know where to start to explain how wonderful Kelly and her team from All Buttoned Up was to work with! They helped us plan the New Year's Eve wedding of our dreams with only a 6 month timeline. The process was as stress free (And even fun!) as possible. Kelly was amazing from start to finish, catering to every need we had from the start to the day of the wedding. She designed our invitations and save the dates, designed a budget, and arranged all of the contracts with our vendors. She reminded us about wedding details we didn't even know existed! Because of her amazing relationship with all the vendors that she has worked with, she was able to secure every single vendor that we wanted on the short timeline and even secured vendors that had already turned down other events for the same date. Everyone at the wedding had compliments about how smooth, beautiful, and fun the whole day was. I could write 5 more pages about how great this team is but hiring the All Buttoned Up team was by far the absolute best decision we made in the wedding planning process and I would recommend prioritizing them into your budget as you start your planning process!
If I were to redo my wedding, the one thing I know for sure that I would do again is hire ABU - we cannot recommend them enough! Allison and Kelly were organized, professional, and so incredibly helpful in the weeks leading up to the big day; they really have the system down to a science! I truly couldn't imagine the day without them; they made everything stress-free and I can honestly say I had full confidence in any/every decision they made, which is a lot to say about someone on your wedding day!
It speaks volumes to their professionalism and expertise that we had several issues occur on the day of (flooded ceremony site, issues with the bar, to name a few), and I didn't have a clue about any one of them until after I returned from my honeymoon - and only because Kelly was advocating for us with the other vendors to make sure we got our value's worth. Kelly and Allison resolved all of the issues with ease and confidence - and our guests were none the wiser.

It has taken me a couple months to write this review because I am still in awe that the wedding has come and gone and that all my dreams and visions truly did come true! Kelly was beyond helpful and she really pulled off the wedding of mine and my now husbands dreams! She was there from the very beginning to answer all questions and to give us advice and guidance. We are from the East side of the state and our wedding was held at a brand new venue that Kelly had never worked at before but she rocked it and the distance was not a communication barrier. We got all of our centerpieces, linens, paper products, signs, decor, ect from Kelly and I did not have to worry about one thing. Wedding planning can be so stressful and all the final small details can be overlooked but not with Kelly on your side. Up until the moment I walked down the aisle I knew I could count on her to make the day run flawlessly. We had numerous compliments from friends, family and other vendors about how professional Kelly and her helpers were and how she executed everything so perfectly and went above and beyond. I have truly found a lifetime friend and mentor in Kelly and I can not thank her enough for being by my side on my special day. There is no doubt in my mind that any future bride needs Kelly on their team and by their side!

Hiring a wedding planner was the best decision I could of made during wedding planning. I worked with Alaina as a day of coordinator. She was so great to work with! My biggest stressor going into the day was having someone set up all my DIY decor, and Alaina did better than I had imagined it! I’m so glad I put my day into her hands! Alaina from All Buttoned Up Events was incredible!! We utilized ABU's day of coordination services and from the moment Alaina and I met, I knew I could trust her with coordinating our big day! She made everything so easy, helped me with any questions I had and even went over items I hadn't even thought of for our day. As parents of the bride we can not begin to tell you how amazing our experience was with Kelly Kennedy and And All Buttoned Up Events. Kelly is responsive, creative, innovative and is up to date on modern trends. She is polite and is clearly respected by all of the vendors we worked with along the way. Simply put Kelly made our daughters amazing wedding carefree. There was never any stress and Kelly never gets rattled. She handles the very few unexpected situations and last minute requests of the bride (and the brides parents) calmly and professionally as they arise. There are very few people with the skill set and the personality combination that can do this job. We may be a bit biased but we believe she is at the top of her profession and we would recommend her whole heartedly without any hesitation to anyone. Kelly listens and she advises appropriately . She works well with the Grand Rapids churches and the church coordinators. She is the perfect go between and is always looking out for the best interest of her clients. Kelly worked with us for nearly a year before the actual wedding day. If there was any hitch in the evening we certainly did not know about it. You want to enjoy your the wedding day. While the idea of handling all of the planning and making all of the arrangements yourself may sound romantic why not leave that to the professionals who have the skills to make your wedding dreams a reality. Kelly is under priced, over qualified, well connected and super kind - keep that a secret so we never lose her to a bigger geographic market outside the midwest.

I found All Buttoned Up Events through many hours of online searching, and I am so happy I did! I worked with Allison for the past year for my August 2019 wedding. Words cannot express how thankful I am to have had her there to help me! She promptly answered every email, text or phone call, and seriously helped keep me sane through all of the craziness that comes with wedding planning. I am not one that is big on planning or coming up with design ideas, which was my main reason for getting a wedding planner. Wow, just wow! Kelly and All Buttoned Up Events are truly the best in the business. I had the pleasure of meeting Kelly and one of her team members June 2018 when they were coordinating for my best friends wedding in Grand Rapids and since they did such an outstanding job we decided to book them for our recent September 7th wedding. My husband and I live in Metro Detroit and not being from the Grand Rapids area but planning a wedding a great distance away from our home we knew it wasn't going to be easy, which was why we decided to book a coordinator in the first place. With what we got from All Buttoned Up was far more that we expected and I don't know how people could do it without this team. From day one and through-out the entire planning process, Kelly went above and beyond and was always available when we needed her. I could write a whole book about how pleased I am with All Buttoned Up Events, but if you’re a bride, groom, or somebody looking for event services, the best advice I have is to go ahead and make that call to book All Buttoned Up Events. Chances are you’ll look back and realize that it was the most important action you took in the whole planning process! It was no doubt the best decision that we made. Our wedding was an absolute DREAM and All Buttoned Up Events was the foundation that allowed this magical day to come to fruition.
Being the first of my siblings and close friends to marry, I would have been completely lost without Kelly. One of the most important gifts that Kelly gave me during the planning process was that I knew I could trust her to make sure that every last detail was getting taken care of. I’m detail-oriented myself, but being in a PhD program across the country significantly limited the amount of time that I could spend on wedding planning and also limited my opportunities to meet with vendors in person. I could rest easy knowing that as long as I did the tasks that Kelly delegated, everything would not just get done, but would get done with exceptional quality.
The services are affordable and the price of each level of service is very reasonable for the amount of work that this team does. Kelly helped us to create and maintain a budget, she arranged and collaborated with the vendors along the way, created our save the dates and invitations, coordinated the rehearsal, set up and took down the ceremony/reception sites, and much, much more. I really believe that any Grand Rapids bride who works with Kelly or her team has a huge advantage because of her connections to the wedding business community. Kelly is clearly admired and respected by other vendors and she knows the best vendors in the city. She will provide you with a list of several different options so that you can make an informed decision, but honestly, I would recommend trusting Kelly’s suggestions every time. Kelly is so informed that I trusted her to make better decisions than I ever could. And I was able to place that level of trust in her because I knew that she really understood my vision.
Kelly has a special talent for understanding vision and making it come to life. She actually had a better sense of my own vision than I did! She took our vision and made it even more uniquely us than I could have imagined possible. Kelly predicted which venues we would want on day one (she was right!), and was very skilled at identifying what matters to us and at understanding us as a couple. Over the course of our 2-year planning period, Kelly became like family. I can easily become emotional if I reflect back on the role that Kelly played in making our wedding day so meaningful. The only regret that I have is not getting a picture with her on my wedding day. Kelly is the epitome of what a competent, professional, and trusted event planner and business owner looks like.
Kelly, thank you for saving us time and money. Thank you for preventing stress (okay, let’s be honest, for preventing meltdowns). Thank you for understanding our vision and seeing us as a couple. But most importantly, thank you for allowing us to be fully present for our wedding day. The gift of being able to be fully present on this day is the best possible gift that a couple could receive.
We knew during our first meeting with Kelly that we had the right person for the job to help us plan the perfect wedding/reception. Lauren described her dream wedding and Kelly immediately captured her vision and went to work creating it.
At our second meeting Kelly provided us with a budget and through the planning process did her best to find just the right vendor to keep us within that budget. She presented ideas and gave suggestions but made us the ultimate decision makers. We more often than not went with what Kelly recommended! Kelly has built relationships with many of the vendors in the area and as a result has earned their respect.
Walking into the tented reception at Watermark Country Club was magical. Kelly and her team went above and beyond to create the garden look Lauren had initially described. All the little details we discussed throughout the year were in place. We received numerous compliments throughout the night. The band, the food, the atmosphere, and the incredible weather all added to our guests having a wonderful time. Kelly made sure any glitches were taken care of by her or her staff allowing us to thoroughly enjoy the day and stay in the moment.
We knew we needed a wedding planner from the beginning because both my fiancée and I were living in different states and were planning to get married in a state neither one of us was living in. I had the benefit of being MOH/bridesmaid in several other weddings and having seen the stress on the day of and the number of things that, despite meticulous planning, will not go according to plan and will crop up at the last minute I knew I did NOT want to deal with that. I also didn’t want any of my bridesmaids or family to deal with it because my main goal was for everyone to just enjoy the day.
We worked with Allison from All Buttoned Up, and she was very pleasant and professional from the start- getting a budget, laying out our timeline of to-dos and setting up meetings. She coordinated our vendor meetings/contracts as well as our venue tour dates. All of our vendors came upon her recommendation and were professional and delivered superior service. She was attentive to our overall vision and responsive to feedback throughout the process. She kept us to our timeline and we didn’t feel rushed as the date approached.
Allison will give you feedback and an opinion if you ask for it about design elements which is helpful because you will get decision fatigue at some point in the process. No planning process is perfect, and we did have a few snafus which Allison and her team handled professionally and gracefully, which speaks even more to their quality as planners.
During the week before the wedding, she was incredibly responsive and was very reassuring. She was calm and organized in dealing with issues last minute.
She was incredibly prepared for everything on the day of and it ran so smoothly and flawlessly.
Most importantly, she really wanted to make sure that my fiancée and I had a few moments throughout a busy day to really just take it all in and share a few private moments together and we got those moments.
With all the hullaballoo surrounding such a momentous event, Allison and the All Buttoned Up team never let the details detract from what the wedding itself it about.
We really feel our wedding was perfect for us and was exactly what we wanted. We would do this whole thing over again, in a heartbeat, the exact same way without changing a thing. If I could offer more than 5 stars I would. Our daughter got married this past weekend and it was a 2 year planning period as she lives out of state. Every detail was meticulously accounted for and throughout the process there were several conversations checking in on the budget so we stayed financially on track. Wedding planning can be overwhelming because there are endless options. Kelly was able to look at my Pinterest board and bring us a few options that worked within our budget. She helped us navigate selecting vendors, making decisions, and determining what would make an impact, and what would be a waste of money. If we could do our wedding over again, the only change both my husband and I said would be worth it is upgrading for the full event planning package from ABU. We paid for the month of coordination package. Like other reviews, we cannot emphasize enough that paying for an event planner was money well spent. Alaina was a godsend in our last month leading up to our wedding, and she and her team were exactly what we needed the day of our wedding. We live out of state, and Alaina was able to do all of the in town coordinating of vendors, set up and tear down of our wedding. We had troubles deciding on vendors since we weren’t in town, and Alaina gave us an entire list of trusted vendors which made our decisions so much easier.
We wanted ourselves and our family to just show up to the wedding and have a good time, and that’s exactly what happened! She and her team handled any bumps in the road with level headedness and I was not privy to any problems the day of the wedding (everything was perfect!) From day one she understood our vision for the wedding and was so organized and helpful with planning for two laid back individuals. She put together a weekend timeline, communicated everything to vendors and bridal party, gave us a family picture template and thought through all of the little details that we didn’t care about or missed. If you want to have a stress free, amazing wedding, go with ABU!
If you are on the fence about getting a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, think no more: DO IT! And if you can’t decide who to go with, look no further: All Buttoned Up is THE ONE! When we started planning our wedding, my fiancé was not convinced we should spend money on this. If you ask him now, he will convince you, not only how great of an investment it is, but that Kelly and her team is the one you should choose! I never had a doubt – from the moment we met Kelly when we were researching vendors, her professionalism and how prepared she was for the first meeting blew us away. She knows what she’s doing and she gives you that feeling of “I can trust her”.
Kelly is not the only amazing one though. We went with the day-of coordination, but throughout the planning process, if we had a question about wording the invitations or how to address a specific type of family on the envelope for the save the dates, Kelly or Alaina would answer our email within a couple of hours! When it came to the 2 month mark, Kelly jumped right in. She had no problem understanding our vision for the wedding. She took over, she executed our vision perfectly and elevated it! She made sure all of our vendors were on the same page – all of them (officiant, photographer, DJ, venue, cake, flowers) all told us how wonderful it was working with her. She made sure our wedding was on time and the timeline was followed perfectly (we were even ahead of schedule).
Kelly brought 2 assistants to our wedding, they made sure everything was set up the day before and the day of, and picked up after the reception, put everything away in safe places and nothing was misplaced or lost.
I'm a stressful person, all my life I was convinced I was going to be the most stressed bride ever. Not only was my husband and I stress-free on the big day, but I was able to release our family and friends from the stress of doing things for us during the wedding, so they could enjoy with us. Everyone told us that we had to be okay with the fact that after all the planning, a lot of things were not going to go as we wanted them to. Boy, were they wrong. Our wedding was EXACTLY how we dreamt of, and it’s all because of Kelly and her fabulous All Buttoned Up team. If I could rate her 1,000 stars, I would without a doubt!

As the mother of the Bride, and a destination wedding on the Lake Michigan shoreline, Kelly handled all the details and arranged a site visit weekend, with vendor and tasting appointments to help with our final selections. I think I've now officially had enough time to process that I can write Kelly the amazing review she deserves. We used her for our Memorial Day wedding weekend - our welcome party, our ceremony, our reception, and our farewell brunch.
WOW. Not to be dramatic or anything, but our wedding would have been absolutely NOTHING without Kelly. Like, really. The fire marshal showed up 5 mins before our reception and threatened to shut it down because of a tent permit (minor oversight by our venue - yikes!) and she HANDLED IT LIKE A BOSS and didn't even let it show to me, our attendees, our families (most importantly).
Anyway, back to the normal stuff. I am a type-A planner myself, freshly "retired" from the event industry, and once we hired her and communicated our vision to her, I was able to LET. GO. without a care in the world, other than choosing between some great options she gave us along the way. Finding someone with a personality that fit mine & my fiancé's was a big priority, since we'd be talking and planning for a whole year. She won my heart after interviewing about 5 or 6 planners in the area.
She's got all the qualities of an amazing wedding / event planner - organized, efficient, flexible, priorities set, great connections, a style that matched ours - but she is so much more than that! For example, I had a crazy vision of having fireworks over the lake at the end of our wedding. I figured it was unlikely, but Kelly took my dream and ran with it. She hunted down a company, met them for a site visit, got the permit, and WE HAD FIREWORKS!! I also had an idea in mind for our "place cards" - I wanted to have "Christmas crackers" (a British tradition and a family tradition of ours). It's a small party favor you pull on both ends and a paper crown pops out with a little prize. SHE AND HER WHOLE TEAM MADE THEM. I didn't even ask her to and was ready to just buy them, but she was enthusiastic and passionate about these projects that make each of our weddings unique. I was so thrilled looking out at our reception of 230 people wearing different colored paper crowns.
We texted almost every day for a year and she was always keeping me on top of stuff and sending me amazing ideas. She kept our priorities straight, despite being in touch with both sides of parents while working on different events for the weekend. The weekend of, she was in her element - never appearing stressed, zipping from one venue to the next setting everything up with her team. She appeared with lighters for the bonfire, clear umbrellas in case it rained, and giant wire-cutting scissors I randomly asked for. She offered crucial tips to the bridal party, our parents, Zach and I, etc. that would never cross our mind. "Hold the rings like this so you don't drop them through the deck down the cliff" (important stuff like that).
You should hire her right now (or at least set up a phone call) and go forth and have the best wedding EVER. Every team member she brought with her or that I met along the way was on top of it and probably an incredible wedding planner themselves - I wholeheartedly trust that whole team!

My husband and I were just recently married in January of 2019 and had a BEAUTIFUL winter wedding. We got engaged in October then decided we wanted to get married fairly soon, so that's when we decided on a January wedding in Michigan. What made this interesting is that my husband and I are in California but my family lives back in Michigan (where I am from), which is where we knew we wanted to get married all along. That's when we decided it would be tough to do the planning process on our own. So, we starting working with Alaina from All Buttoned Up Events. Alaina was amazing! She kept me in the loop with everything while I was across the country and worked with my mom/family that were in Michigan. She was such a blessing throughout the short planning process. She kept everyone up to speed with the checklist and deadlines. Come the wedding day she was such a help! She kept everything running smoothly and told everyone where they needed to be and what to do. She was there for assistance when anyone needed it.
I cannot say thank you enough to Alaina and team for helping make our wedding day a dream come true. She helped with any last minute items we forgot (which were quite a few) and was fantastic with day of coordination and tear down. She's organized, follows up quickly and will never let you forget anything! Thank you again SO much!! Both of us would recommend All Buttoned Up to anyone and everyone!!
Amazing!! I don't know how better to describe Kelly and All Buttoned Up Events other than truly amazing in every way. We could not have been happier that we chose them to plan and execute every detail of our daughter's wedding. Absolutely fantastic to work with beginning to end. They helped with vendor selection and recommendations for every aspect of our very large and formal wedding. If there were any issues, we did not know about them! Kelly took care of everything so we could enjoy every moment of this very special day. She was professional and she and her team were amazing to work with. I cannot recommend All Buttoned Up Events more highly!
