Of all the vendors we booked I had zero worries about using Total Entertainment as our DJ. I know other couples who used them and their reputation is exemplary. They provide unparalleled support during the planning process (although their web p...ortal is a little tricky to use) and are very passionate about their job. If you want high energy, book Mark - he's worth every penny. If your wedding is more laid back, book Greg. If your wedding is formal or a little more reserved, book a different vendor. Their passion, energy, and style is better suited for a PARTY. I wanted to be able to give them 5 stars, I really did, but unfortunately nobody is perfect and our wedding had some problems. The issues varied from the ceremony music, to mispronouncing the bride's parents names, to keeping the reception on schedule. None of the issues were catastrophic and all guests exclaimed they had the best time ever! I would still recommend TE to anyone, but no matter who your band/DJ is, I would urge you to be clear on your vision. If you have tricky names in your group - make sure they understand the proper pronunciation. If you have a structured timeline in mind, ask them to help with watching the clock (this is not the brides job!). If you have special requests, make sure they understand your expectations (they're not mind readers). They want to help make your day perfect, and these details help get them interested and excited for you. Your day is special and you don't want to feel like your just another couple in an endless line of weddings, but this depends on both you and the vendor. This is especially applicable to fall weddings - all vendors are tired by the end of the wedding season. TE is looking to reduce scheduling demands to enable them to focus on raising the quality of their product. Book them as far in advance as you possibly can, especially as they will be offering up less days. Their rates are competitive and definitely worth the price-tag, just keep your expectations realistic.
