Allison James Weddings

We hired Allison as a day of coordinator when I realized we would likely need a little help in decorating and cleaning up the church. She ended up providing so much more beyond that that I hadn't even thought of! She helped with set up, ceremony logistics when someone from our church couldn't be present, clean up at the church, ensuring the reception space was set up to our liking and overseeing clean up to ensure all our rented reception items were returned to us. Most importantly she ensured my husband and I had much needed privacy to eat dinner when we decided to step away from the dancing later in the evening. If you're even considering the possibility of a day of coordinator- DO IT (and do it with Allison!)

Allison served as the day-of coordinator for our September 2023 wedding, and her impact on our special day was nothing short of extraordinary. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have found her! As avid DIY enthusiasts, my husband and I had spent months curating our own centerpieces, welcome table, seating chart, and even crafting games for our guests during cocktail hour. The sheer volume of items we had amassed left me stressed about how it would all come together as I had envisioned. When we initially briefed Allison on the multitude of tasks, I half-expected her to run for the hills. To my surprise, she maintained a calm demeanor and didn't even flinch at the intricate details we were planning. The day before the wedding, stress levels were at an all-time high for me. However, a conversation with Allison immediately put me at ease. I could sense that I was in good hands, and it was time for me to step back and let her work her magic. Allison is the epitome of a wedding fairy godmother when it comes to set up and coordination. The moment I walked into the venue, I saw my dream transformed into reality, all thanks to her exceptional attention to detail. She remembered even the tiniest concerns I had expressed, solidifying her as an indispensable part of our wedding day! If you are considering hiring a day of coordinator, we HIGHLY recommend Allison! We truly had our absolute DREAM wedding, and so much of that is a testament to Allison. 💕

Hire Allison, she's amazing!!! No one can accurately describe how difficult and stressful wedding planning can be and we could mot have done it without Allison. We decided to do a TON of DIY projects for our ceremony and reception including: growing all of our own flowers, extremely complicated centerpieces, huge welcome table and going all out decorating the venue bathrooms and Allison crushed it all!! She kept us on track with planning and was amazing communicating with our venue and such a calming, organized yet still excited presence for us even when we were about to go insane. Every design detail we described along the way we thought "oh gosh this is so much and so insane" and yet she was just all on board "sounds great! Love that!" We had one weather issue on our day and she made the perfect choices to make everything work perfectly and still look amazing and no guest was the wiser and we did not have to worry for a second because Allison had everything under control! We cannot recommend Allison James enough!! Allison was incredible from start to finish as our day-of-coordinator and venue decorator. It was clear from our first meeting that she is a professional, extremely organized, and deeply dedicated to each of her clients and their families. Allison was always very easy to reach and makes herself totally available to her clients to ensure that there is not stress on your end. The clear communication with her leading up to our wedding day put my mind at ease and gave me full confidence in her ability to handle our large 130+ person wedding (she even took the time to answer my late night texts the night before to ensure I had nothing to worry about!) On the day of the wedding it was a beautiful sunny day and we had planned to set cocktail hour up outside at our reception venue. However, after the ceremony at the church I went outside and panicked about what would happen with cocktail hour. I sent Allison a worried text and she told me it was all taken care of and set-up inside beautifully! She communicated clearly with all our vendors and coordinated the day flawlessly to make sure it was seamless. When I arrived at cocktail hour, the venue was beautifully decorated and the indoor set-up was beyond perfect - it actually worked out even better than having cocktail hour outside because it was much cooler inside away from the humidity!! Allison is also very creative and thinks of everything you forget when planning decor. The napkin rings we bought turned out to not close completely, so Allison got creative in coming up with the most perfect solution to make sure the napkin rings stayed closed, as if they were build that way! I noticed it when I say down for dinner and was really impressed. Allison continuously coordinated with the vendors throughout the night and made sure we were on schedule so that everything ran smoothly. When the bustle on my dress ripped right before my first dance, I panicked thinking I couldn't dance with my long train. Allison was swift to calm me, notify all vendors of the change in schedule, and was quick to assist in sewing in a new bustle to my dress so that I could dance! She was fabulous and the bustle she helped sew into my dress looked better than the original!!! If you are looking for a coordinator, planner, or decorator who is committed to you, understands what it's like to be a bride, and who is ready to go above and beyond- this is your sign to stop looking and contact Allison. Working with her was like working with an old friend who is dedicated to making your day perfect. We had the most beautiful wedding and it was the best day ever. I highly recommend Allison and all her services. We were all so impressed with her and so thankful to have had her handle everything!! Most importantly, my mom (who is a hostess at heart and has never let an event go by without trying to host and organize everything) was able to fully relax and enjoy the day, as she completely trusted Allison (and rightfully so)- that was HUGE.
