I’d made a very organized and detailed Google Doc with every single piece of information a person could need to do the job, so I was hopeful. However, that faith was misplaced.  Coordinating during the ceremony and managing the clean up at the end of the night were arguably the two most important aspects of her job and she didn’t do either successfully. Ally didn’t coordinate the ceremony at all because she literally left the ceremony venue right after I started my walk down the aisle with my dad, presumably to transport items to cocktail hour, which wasn’t her job; I’d hired a teen assistant through Brittany to do that so the coordinator could stay and coordinate the ceremony. So she wasn’t there to help fix any of the many things that unfortunately went wrong during the ceremony. Ally also didn’t follow the plan for other things throughout the day, most notably the clean up process, which resulted in her leaving a large pile of our personal items out on the venue’s public lawn all night.  I understood that it couldn’t have been easy to step in three days in advance, and I was prepared to chalk up most of Ally’s logistical oversights to the difficulty of that. Plus the decor she set up was a close approximation at least of the layouts I’d mocked up in the Google Doc. She gets an extra star here for those positive things. So in the days after the wedding I didn’t express any anger to her at all and I didn’t ask for any compensation or anything, I just asked for answers as to how things went so wrong and for help locating our personal items that were lost in the clean up that Ally was supposed to have managed. But the way she responded to my concerns after the wedding was so unprofessional, passive-aggressive and rude that I felt compelled to write a review stating my experience for future brides. She made a difficult situation worse by not being prepared on the day and then refusing to take even a minute amount of accountability and respond to me in a professional manner, rather than with hostility and defensiveness.
