Alma Event Planner

I used Alma Event Planning for Day of Coordinating services and it was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding day! Melissa, Melanie, and Santiago did an amazing job with helping keep on schedule throughout the whole day, took care of the vendors and made sure that everything was running smoothly, and were there to troubleshoot any issues that popped up! I honestly don't know what I would have done without them all there!! Thank you so much!

I can’t even begin to explain how amazing Jan and her assistant were. If it wasn’t for them I don’t know what I would do. Aside from being so professional, these girls have the most amazing personalities I’ve ever seen. They made sure everything ran smooth, and any issues were taken care of. They were a breath of fresh air on a very stressful day. You girls will forever have my gratitude, and the love from my bridesmaid/groomsmen!!!

I don't think our wedding would have been nearly as much of a success without all of the help from Jan and Melissa. We did the month of planning package, and from our first meeting with Jan the month before our wedding I knew we had made an awesome decision to hire her team. She helped us coordinate a timeline that worked with all of the goals we had for the wedding, and then on wedding day ensure that the timeline went off without a hitch. Melissa met with us and our bridal party to do a walkthrough the day before, which I didn't even realize how much we needed until we ran through it with her. On the wedding day, they took all of the DIY decor my mom had made (and there was a LOT of it) and arranged it all beautifully throughout the venue. I had been really nervous about how it was all going to get set up that morning until I talked with them about it, and they did such a gorgeous job. I never would have been able to guess that their team had not been to our venue before because they were truly able to run the show and get things set up like they were there all the time. The whole wedding day, Jan and her team were focused on making everything perfect for my husband and I. I didn’t have to worry about anyone getting where they needed to go during the day. She made sure we didn’t see each other before we walked down the aisle despite having to coordinate us in different groups of pictures. She made sure we had drinks and food without even having to ask for them. At the end of the night, her and her team also broke down and packaged up all of our DIY decor, which I was incredibly grateful for. Our venue package actually included a day of coordinator, but the services weren’t as in depth as what Jan and her team offered and I’m so glad we went with Alma Event Planners instead. I could not recommend Alma Event Planners more. They were all so personable and professional, and definitely made it so I could enjoy my wedding day to the fullest!

I am soo happy I used Alma Event Planner for my wedding! I booked Jan as my day-of coordinator and she was a rockstar. There were some issues that popped up on my wedding day, however, we had no idea and she put us at ease. Jan was professional the entire time. She made sure that my fiancé and I were the priority. I used Alma Event Planner for my sisters wedding. I planned the wedding most of the way through, then had Alma come in and take over for the week of. It was a great experience working with Jannina. She was very responsive, and took over as if she was working with me the entire time! Jan saved my wedding. That is all. She was AMAZING the whole planning process. And then when our venue got flooded due to a storm that came through two days before wedding day, and the venue was pushing to reschedule our wedding and we (I shouldn’t say we, because SHE solution seeked) and made everything happen. It was the most perfect day. Everything went according to plan!! We had delays and hiccups here and there but Jan made it all happen! I will always and forever recommend Alma planning to anyone I know getting married!

Janina and her team, Alma Event Planner, are phenomenal. Me and my husband just had our wedding late January before the pandemic and she helped me every step of the way. Initially I tried planning the wedding myself, but realized it was more than I could handle and had found her through the knot. She gave me an affordable price within our budget and kept everything in check. It really relieved a lot of stress. She and her team aided me through every step of the way, explained what will happen come wedding day and weeks before the day. She even helped me put my mother's mind at ease when it came to certain Filipino traditions for the ceremony. When it came to wedding day, the wedding was a complete hit with the guests and I didn't have anything to worry about. I was a pretty happy bride and able to enjoy the day with family. I definitely highly recommend Janina for any special events!!

DAY OF PLANNER IS A MUST!! Jan and her team were a dream come true. Not once on my wedding day did I look at a clock or stress about timing. They helped make everything seamless and luckily we only had minor issues arise and they were right there with a solution. Highly recommend Jan and her team!!!

Okay let me first start this post by making sure that if you are on the fence about (at minimum) a day of coordinator - my single most important advice is: GET ONE! This is coming from someone who wasn't initially planning on getting a day of coordinator because of budget issues. The closer I got to the wedding (and the more overwhelming it all became) and the more my friends kept telling me I should indeed get a day of coordinator, I finally bit the bullet, made a few calls, and immediately after talking to Jannina I knew she was it. Not only was her price reasonable, but her reviews, and then the sense of professionalism, experience, and dedication I had from her during a simple phone conversation - I was hooked. The day of my wedding I was stressed for 5 seconds - once it was all becoming real and multiple of my friends were asking me "what do we do with....". As soon as Jannina got there, every.single.worry was completely gone. "Your wish is my command" is truly her motto, but more so in a way that you can tell she feels personally invested in making sure your wedding day goes without a hitch and that the bride is as relaxed as possible without worrying about any of the behind the scenes stuff. I got to enjoy my wedding!! From creating my timeline a few weeks prior (and thus helping me realize what loose ends to tie before the wedding), to working on everything behind the scenes, to having sewing kits to fix any dress mishaps (which did happen!), to even running around to get my garter right before "showtime" after I realized I forgot to put it on. I cannot tell you what a gem she is. She anticipates, she solves. And most of all - you can tell she is in it for the love of love stories.

Alma was my wedding planner for my November 23, 2019 wedding. I could not have been more blessed to have her as my wedding planner every step of the way. She took care of everything I needed, handled everyone with grace and poise and helped me throw the best wedding ever. I’m so grateful I had her with me that day to handle everything (and everyone). My day went off without a hitch thanks to her hard work and dedication.

Jan is the BEST! Originally, I wasn’t sure if I needed to use a planner, but I’m so happy I did! Jan took all of the day of stress off of me, and helped me so much. She must have fixed my dress bustle about 10 times throughout the night after people stepped on it, and when my first bite of food fell on my dress she was right there with a soda water to get it off. She made my day run so smoothly! Highly recommend Jan!

It's difficult to describe the absolute blessing it was having Alma Event Planner make our special day perfect. Without Jan and her team I would have been lost. Not only was she everything we needed in a planner, she went way above and beyond making everything from start to finish come out perfectly. Janina and her assistant was the best decision I made for my wedding day. She handled everything from start to finish and took control of all issues. I am very satisfied with her level of expertise, organization and patience. I will definitely recommend her to all.

Jan is amazing!!! She helped me coordinate what seemed like my thousands of vendors and she made everything so easy for me. She also saved me on my wedding day multiple times and fixed last minute problems and made things run smoothly. IF I had to do it all again I’d choose Jan over and over again. She was so helpful and so nice and kept me calm and even helped me fix my makeup when it started to smudge after pictures. My personal stuff ended up spread everywhere in many different rooms and buildings and she gathered it all for me and kept track of everything. Jan and I did not actually meet until my wedding day but from the first time we spoke, I knew she was my girl. I am an Event Planner myself so giving up control on my big day was no easy task. Jan made me feel so relaxed and at ease that she had everything under control. We touched based a few weeks before and then on wedding day she was on her toes. She fixed issues before I even knew about them! Seriously, she was amazing! My husband had a hole in his pants and she fixed that. My wine box broke right before the wedding and she fixed that. I did not even know! She broke down and packed up everything I expected. I could go on and on. First off, my husband and I HIGHLY recommend Jan and her team from Alma Events. We had the pleasure of having them a our day of coordinators last Saturday for our special day. As the main planner of our wedding, I thought I was going to be stressed the day of. Instead, Jan handled absolutely everything. From coordinating vendors, marriages license, collecting rings, scheduling, guests, decor, and more- she made everything perfect. I couldn't of done it without her. She was my right hand woman. My day went absolutely perfect thanks to Alma Event Planner! We had planned to have an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception but, wouldn’t you know it, it rained on my special day!! Jan was hands down the most awesome factor to our big day. She was organized, she was punctual, and kept me on schedule.. period. Despite my own setback. Jan is a wedding planner dream! She made my wedding planning process, and my day of, nearly stress-free (to the point that all my vendors who came into the bridal suite said they'd never been in one that was so calm). She was on top of everything throughout my planning process, and worked tirelessly to ensure that my dream wedding came to fruition. On top of all that, she's affordable! My wedding went off without a hitch due to Jan and her team! I didn't have to lift a finger to manage anything that day. I felt at ease with Jan navigating the day, directing the guest and assisting vendors. She is organized, sweet and kind. Our wedding would not have turned out as beautiful as it did without the outstanding job that Alma Event Planners did planning and coordinating all aspects of our special day. Jan and her team are incredible!! We hired Jan for our day of but she was so much more. She helped me for months leading up to the wedding on any questions I had. Jan was absolutely amazing!! From the moment I spoke to her on the phone 2 months out from the wedding and booked her to the last dance she was incredibly helpful. I was never the type to ever consider getting a wedding planner but planning a long distant wedding we decided we needed help and it was the best decision I ever made. Jan helped me and my mom and maid of honor truly relax and enjoy our day. All the details were taken care of (even details I never thought of working out), she is organized, energetic, kind and the person you want as your right hand gal on your big day working everything from behind the scenes.

From the very beginning Janina was easy to talk to, friendly and responded very promptly. This helped my decision when shopping for our wedding planner, she was perfect! I was looking for someone to take a little of the stress off during the planning process and all of the stress off on our big day! Well, she did this and more. She was so helpful during the planning process, especially in the final weeks keeping everything organized and on time. The day of our wedding, there were a couple of incidents with the venue but I was completely stress-free knowing she would handle everything for us and keep our day running smoothly, and it did! Jan was the best money we spent during our wedding! We booked her as our 'day of' coordinator (one of the only planners with that package available) and she took over EVERYTHING two weeks prior to my big day. She helped me make decisions and brought up things that I would have never thought of. My pre-wedding stress levels were significantly reduced from the moment we met. I handed over all the decors, she confirmed all the vendors, and handled all the last minute issues that came up. Her assistant spent the day at my venue and Jan was back and forth between my hotel and the venue. I did not have to worry about a thing and she really gave me piece of mind. Jan was always available, never late, and easy to communicate with. She and her team are true professionals and they definitely enhanced the whole wedding experience. My wedding wouldn't have come out so perfect without her. Do yourself a huge favor and hire her to help you get through the most important day of your life!

Jannina is an amazing woman to work with! We decided to plan our wedding in three months in which I personally did most of the legwork. I own my own business and am extremely design and detail-oriented so I really viewed hiring Jannina at first as my right hand lady on our wedding day. However, as we approached the weekend - I was way off base! Weeks before, she began to keep us organized, gave me reminders, had wonderful advice and guidance and vendors to recommend. She was so great that I pulled the trigger and hired her for the entire weekend. Between the welcome party and the wedding ceremony, dinner and reception I had VERY heavy expectations and even more decor : ) I thought I would have time to really lay it all out but I absolutely didn't. I was super nervous, having not worked with J before, walking up to our welcome party but with only a little direction, the lanterns, runners, rentals, flags, bar, check-in table, EVERYTHING were PERFECT. The wedding day was the same story and even more impressive. She's a rockstar and I will continue to work with her for years to come for other events I do in South Florida. She listens, multi-tasks, steps up, takes directions and is most importantly, sweet, compassionate and funny. I couldn't recommend her and her team more. Our entire wedding weekend was a success because of Jannina : )

Absolutely recommended, they took the time to listen to all of my ideas, including plenty of valuable DIY , they took care of the rentals, the vendors and every little detail came up as I dreamed it. Jannina has great taste, is responsive and experienced, they provide high value yet very affordable.
