Aloha On The Rocks

We hired Aloha on the Rocks for their catering, bar and coordination services. We were really looking for a one stop shop for our wedding. We are soooo glad we went with Aloha on the Rocks! Shaun helped with all the pre wedding details and was pretty quick answering all of my questions. We worked with Lana the day of the wedding and wow was she amazing! She was cool, clam and collected the entire time, even when we had some last minute day of changes to the wedding schedule. All of the suggestions both Shaun and Lana had made the event run super smooth and I'm so glad I put my trust in them. The service staff was very friendly and I heard nothing but amazing things from all of my guests about both the service AND food. We also went with their suggestion for the DJ (DJ Troy Michael) and he was FABULOUS. It rained a few hours before my ceremony but the Aloha on the Rocks team didn't panic and got everything set up on time and looking beautiful. Another plus is that we provided the alcohol for the bar which saved us major $$$$ since we got all of our booze from Costco and we had more control over what we wanted to buy. The quantity that Shaun gave us was pretty spot on and I totally appreciated that. I could go on and on about how perfect by day was and long story short is look no further for your catering/bar/coordination needs. Thanks again!

Wonderful company. Shaun the owner is amazing. He takes everything into his own hands and works together with the coordinator and all your vendors. Doing the coordinating through them was great as they are the need for that because so much of a wedding relies on catering. Staff was wondering. Bartenders great. Food was amazing. When we did a tasting we met directly with the chef and got to modify and discuss everything we want. So fun and so delicious. Could not have asked for a better experience!!!!

I am so glad I picked Aloha On The Rocks to be my caterer and provide the shave ice bar for my wedding! I just got married on Memorial Day Weekend with a beachside ceremony and beautiful reception. All my guests were RAVING about the cute shave ice. I even was fed some shave ice as the bride because it was instantly cooling and refreshing in the Hawaii sun. It was so nice seeing pops of color in guests’ hands as they enjoyed these treats during cocktail hour. The wait staff was amazing because they helped serve my appetizers and made sure the bride and groom were fed too!!! Shaun the owner was great to work with. The menu that my guests can’t stop talking about was the Mac nut crusted Opah, Okinawan mash potatoes, coconut rice with mango chunks, and the dressing for the salad!!! I literally had no leftovers of the chimichurri steak or guava chicken the next day which was sad because I wanted to taste it all again. Aloha on the Rocks made my dream wedding come true and they worked with me to make all my requests come to life. Even during the planning process, payments were super easy to keep track of and complete because it’s an online invoice and tracks how much you’ve paid!!! If you want responsive, friendly, and all star vendors, you have to book Aloha On The Rocks for your next wedding or event!!!!

Shane was amazing and his team was great. He was very paitnet and soft spoken. His shaved ice was really good. He printed some stuff out for me last min and let us barrow his picture frames. He was very easy to work with. I hired my day of through him and i loved her! she was seriously amazing. Her name is Stephanie. She was just so personable and super genuine. I still keep in contact with her still. I would highly recommend Aloha on the rocks thanks to Shane and steph

Shaun and his team are great! They handled the drinks and the food for our wedding. Everything was fantastic and all of our guests were very happy. We also had their shave ice bar which was the perfect after dinner treat, I highly recommend it for outdoor weddings. Shaun is very easy to work with and responds quickly with any answers to your questions. I hope I get the opportunity to work with them again!

Shaun had great communication. The extra services offered made our wedding feel extra special, such as hand passed cocktails, a shaved ice bar, and water goblets placed on the tables. There were a few minor things that happened during the wedding but nothing major. I would recommend Aloha on the Rocks to my friends and family.

My husband (!!) and I dont really like cake, and so we looked for other dessert options for our wedding -- when we found Aloha on the Rocks who could set up a shave ice station!!! WOAH! Shaun and his entire staff seriously kick butt! We were planning our wedding from California - but Shaun was great to communicate over email and coordinating the contract and when to meet and set up with our venue was so easy! Everyone at our event LOVED the shave ice - and c'mon - they also have condensed milk, azuki beans, and ice cream (which we had to coordinate with our venue, but phew! pulled that one off!) - so it was the real deal! was it the same as waiola's or matsumoto's? of course not, but it was still super yummy! Aloha on the Rocks brings EVERYTHING to your venue - the shave ice machine, the ice, the syrups and toppings - and are so great with all the guests! made our wedding amazing! Thanks so much guys!

Communication was great until it came to meeting in person. We were coming in from California and had 11 appointments in 4 days. We wanted to meet and greet our vendors. We confirmed and some how there was a miscommunication. Other than, on the day of the wedding , all the guests were happy during the wedding and that's all that mattered in the end.

We recently got married in december and we hired Aloha on the rocks to take care of our bartending details. First of all, you can rent a fancier bar called the Alii bar & cocktail tables (i think that's how its spelled)and it did not dissappoint! It made my small wedding feel super elegant...The bar looked amazing. The drinks were delicious and the bartender was friendly, on time, and professional. Shaun, the owner took the time to explain everything as we went back and forth on what to get or not to get. We added all natural shave ice to our service and the guest loved it!! Thank you Aloha on the Rocks.

We had shave ice as our main dessert for our small wedding and Shawn was absolutely wonderful! Everyone LOVED the fun and delicious shave ice. We even provided our own booze and made ''adult'' shave ice. I highly recommend shave ice for your hawaii wedding, and Aloha on the Rocks is highly recommended!

We did not use this vendor, but they were pleasant to communicate with and we would surely have been happy with their services. Our wedding coordinator had another vendor she works with, but had we chosen our own, Aloha on the Rocks was at the top of our list!

We just used Shaun and his company for a June 29 wedding. He was great. Easy to work with and the guests loved their drinks!

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t hire them…besides Dianna, this was the best money spent! We were able to go to Costco, buy our beer, wine & liquor (we did 2 specialty drinks: Mai Tai’s & Hawaiian Sunsets) & dropped it off to him the day of (had a family member handle that if you can’t then pay for his service to meet you!) The set up was perfect; they make a sign in a frame & bring in all their own tents, coolers, ice, napkins, garnishes, mixers (soda, water, etc…) SO WORTH the money. Not to mention our server went above & beyond & brought the wedding party a tray of drinks to us while we were shooting pictures (pretty sure a friend tipped him to do that, but it was great!). Overall, a great time & they did a great job!

Hiring a professional bartender was not on my original list of things to do for my wedding, but I'm soooo glad I did. Having a professional bartender during the reception made things so enjoyable for me and my guests. The owner of Aloha On The Rocks definitely went the extra mile to plan a customized drink menu, and answer my million questions! If I ever get married again (just kidding!) there are a few things I would do differently, but I would definitely hire Aloha On The Rocks again.....
