Aloha Wedding Planners did my on-the-day coordination, and did an amazing job. They are very professional and easy to deal with, especially if you get married at the Moana Surfrider, as the relationship is already established between venue and planner.
Pam worked with me for the month before the wedding, and then met with us a few days before and at our rehearsal. For an on-the-day coordinator this was very hands-on and I feel she went above and beyond the call of duty.
You can tell that Pam loves what she does. Her goal was to make my life easier and to make sure I enjoyed my wedding day and had a chance to take it all in. Thanks to her I was so calm and relaxed on my wedding day, and cannot thank her enough for all the ways she helped us.
I would recommend Pam to anyone getting married on Oahu, she will elevate your day and help you enjoy it that much more. Thank you Pam!
What a nightmare!! Initially when we consulted with Susan, she was very responsive and seemed very knowledgeable but don’t let that fool you. Once she retained our deposit, everything went downhill. Her response time with recommendations are about 3-4 weeks and that’s because we had to email her a couple times and leave her messages as she wasn’t getting back to us. I initially sent her my budget sheet and I will use my florist budget as an example. Our budget for a florist is 3k. After 1.5 months later, I received a quote that was in the 10k to 14k range and another for 7k. It makes you wonder if she was actually looking at our budget sheet info when she consulted these florists. It got to the point that she was taking so long that I had to look for the florist myself and had her follow up. My husband and I were very patient with Susan. We tried to give her several chances to redeem herself as we felt like she wasn’t doing her job as our coordinator. We told her repeatedly that if she at least didn’t have an answer for us in regards to our concerns then at least acknowledge our email and respond or even call back to let us know. She didn’t do any of that. I literally spent more time emailing her as to why she hasn’t responded and taking more of my time going on these conference calls with her to touch base with very little or no progress. She was very disorganized, her response time was lacking and definitely inexcusable. We were 4 months away from the wedding and barely had any vendors booked cause she had no idea where we were at in the process. I’d literally had to update her AGAIN on what else was needed and what was already contracted. I was so infuriated with how unresponsive and disorganized she was. Definitely not what we expected because she seemed very detailed and very put together in the beginning. Boy were we wrong! It just seemed like she had no idea what was in our file and I’m thinking her vendor recommendations were just from her regular checklist. From the services she provided or shall I say the lack there of, I don’t think she carefully analyzed our information sheet otherwise she would have been able to deliver the services she said she would provide. After we notified her that we no longer needed her services, we realized we had to contact her in regards to our ceremony permit a couple months later. She spoke with my husband and wanted to set up a conference call regarding where we were at with the process.. We were baffled. Here she is thinking she’s still retained by us and wanted to touch base when she’s had no communication with us whatsoever and the wedding is two months away. I was at a loss for words. How can she really think she’s still our coordinator when we’ve had no contact? I tried to get my deposit back cause she literally did not provide the services worth what we had paid her.. She declined it and her rebuttal was that I should have responded that her recommendations were not satisfactory. If she looked at the information sheet to begin with, she would have known that these recommendations are way outside our price range. She was so difficult to communicate with that by the time you get a response, it’s like 1.5 months later. I had a destination wedding and you would assume that as our wedding coordinator, she would facilitate the process for us. I found myself looking for my own vendors and doing my own research! I would definitely NOT recommend her to anyone! Not worth the price and time
Susan was incredible to work with. She handled everything flawlessly on a very short planning timeline. She even showed up at my salon appointment with flower samples to make sure I was happy with the bouquet!
Easy to work with, response time was fast. She was someone that we can depend on.
Everything was done for me. I just told him what we wanted and he took care of it!;I was a little concerned the day before the wedding when I had not seen the planner in person.
