We had our wedding of around 250 people at Alpine Valley Resort at the end of August. Our wedding at Alpine Valley Resort was truly perfect. The grounds provided a breathtaking bac...
kdrop for our day, and we received endless compliments from our guests on how gorgeous the location was and how delicious the food was!
What truly sets Alpine Valley apart, though, is the staff. Communication was seamless from day one. Allison, our event coordinator, was a total rockstar—always quick to respond, incredibly supportive, and ready to guide us through every step of the planning process. She truly cared about making our vision come to life.
We loved every second of our wedding day here and highly recommend Alpine Valley Resort to any couple looking for a stress-free, beautiful venue!
Alpine Valley Resort made our dream wedding come to life!
The resort itself has so much charm! Just the outside architecture is something to love in itself. The property provi...
ded the perfect location for getting ready, ceremony, reception, and lodging! The bridal loft was absolutely wonderful! Spacious, bright (with natural light too!), and full of outlets and mirrors!
The ceremony was supposed to take place in the lawn behind the resort; however, due to rain, it was moved to the patio pavers by the pavilion. (We were given plenty of notice and different options) Honestly, we loved this! It made everything all essentially at the same spot. The staff quickly removed the ceremony chairs and turned it into cocktail hour in a matter of minutes!
The staff at Alpine is beyond exceptional! Allison (events coordinator) communicates super fast, effectively, and truly cares for the couples she works with! From the initial venue tour to the planning to the day after the wedding, she is with you every step of the way. She is amazing at what she does and makes the process as stress free as possible!
Some specific examples of how Alpine went above and beyond:
- One of our pictures on our memorial table fell in the wind and broke the glass. They found a piece of glass to replace it.
- I forgot my bouquet when rehearsing the ceremony. Allison cut a bunch of flowers out of a bush for me to hold.
- We did not have to lift a finger for setting anything up or taking anything down. Allison sent pictures for different table set-up options based on our napkin colors selected. (Everything was packed up nicely and easy to retrieve the morning after from a secure location.)
- Our wooden pallet seating chart couldn’t lean appropriately for guests to view. Hector got a piece of wood and drilled it to the side to create a leg (and then took it off later).
-The staff went and bought real flower petals to match our colors so our fake ones didn’t need cleaned up.
- The staff offered golf cart rides to get guests to where they needed.
- The staff brought our son (the only child present) sparkling apple juice so he could participate in the champagne toast.
The food was scrumptious! (And they had extras brought to our room.) The Chicken Marsala was raved about by anyone who tried it! (Allergies were taken seriously and guests with them were brought special plates) The views/scenery were breathtaking. So many amazing places for photos) But the staff is what truly sets Alpine above the rest! Every single staff member we interacted with was so happy, helpful, and truly cared. We cannot recommend Alpine enough!

er, we knew right away that it was the perfect place for our wedding. The entire planning process was so smooth, and the staff made everything feel easy and stress-free from start to finish.
Allison, the event coordinator, was incredible to work with! She was so helpful throughout the entire planning process, always available to answer our questions, and made sure everything ran smoothly leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of. Having someone we could trust to handle and coordinate the details allowed us to truly enjoy our day without worrying about the little things.
The bridal suite was absolutely beautiful and the perfect space for the girls to get ready on the morning of the wedding. It gave us plenty of room to relax, enjoy time together, and have our hair and makeup done comfortably.
Our guests absolutely loved the pavilion where we held the reception. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the space was and just as many compliments about how good the food was!
Looking back, we wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding. It was everything we hoped for and more, and we are so grateful for all the staff who helped make our day so special and memorable. We would absolutely recommend Alpine Valley Resort to any couple looking for a beautiful venue, amazing staff, and an stress-free wedding experience! ❤️

ss. Every corner of the property made for a beautiful backdrop, and our pictures turned out even better than we imagined. Shout out to matt mason photography - Ben and Rachel Hanson!
Alpine Valley’s wedding coordinator, Allison, was incredible. She made sure everything ran seamlessly and was always quick to respond to every text and email throughout the planning process. Her organization and attention to detail made the entire experience stress-free.
The food was delicious, the drink selection was excellent, and the ambiance was 10/10. Lighting the fireplace during the reception created such a cozy atmosphere and made an already gorgeous venue feel even more special. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect.
We stayed in the bridal suite that night, and waking up the next morning to enjoy breakfast burritos on the patio was the perfect ending to an unforgettable weekend.
One piece of advice for future couples: carve out time to sneak away with your photographer for sunset photos. The views at Alpine Valley are absolutely breathtaking, and those golden-hour photos ended up being some of our favorites from the entire day.
It truly was the best night of our lives, and we wouldn’t change a single thing. We are so grateful we chose Alpine Valley for our wedding and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a breathtaking venue with outstanding service.

ll coming together day of, I felt highly taken care of. The hotel is attached to the inside reception areas, such as great things for guests. Very reasonably priced. This place and its staff have set the bar for hospitality. Rave reviews from all our wedding guests as well. They loved the food, the space and how well the staff treated them as also. I could go on forever but long story kinda shortened, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

, lawn games and recommended a florist that was incredible. The guys in the wedding were able to reserve a quick round of golf before the ceremony and the course at AV was beautiful — a nice way to stay relaxed before the big day. We were able to meet with the head of maintenance to understand their needs which led to us being able to zip tie some tall branches to the posts — magical! The cuisine and service from catering was excellent (shout out to Oscar and Hector)! We added a third appetizer which worked well for our cocktail hour (and hungry guests) after the ceremony. Photos on the lawn with the sunset behind us was gorgeous and taking a decked out "Just Married" golf cart to the covered bridge for photos was so fun. The dance floor provided by AV met our needs and the party was poppin'. We ordered Nothing Bundt Cakes for desert and pizzas for a late night snack and it was just right! Allison at Alpine Valley was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs. This was a group effort and it resulted in an evening filled with joy and love. Thank you!!

t dance of the night, the entire experience was absolutely magical.
The outdoor pavilion is beyond gorgeous—surrounded by the picturesque golf course and ski hill, it felt like we were in our own little resort. The natural beauty of the setting created the most stunning backdrop for our ceremony and photos. Whether guests were taking in the views from the patio or enjoying the spacious and elegant indoor setup, everyone was blown away by how beautiful and peaceful the venue was.
What truly made our day unforgettable, though, was the amazing staff—especially Allison, the Events Coordinator. She was an absolute lifesaver throughout the entire planning process. Incredibly organized, responsive, and calm under pressure, Allison made sure everything went off without a hitch. From coordinating chaos to managing the timeline, she handled every detail flawlessly, which allowed me to truly enjoy every moment of the day without stress.
Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the venue, the service, and the atmosphere. If you're considering Alpine Valley Resort for your wedding, I promise you—you will not be disappointed. It was everything I dreamed of and more. I will cherish the memories we made there for a lifetime.
Highly, highly recommend!

ned. She was able to give great recommendations for vendors, as well as remind us of various details that had completely slipped our mind. Although the package doesn’t necessarily say it, you really do get a wedding planner through her abilities. I was able to text her day or night with any questions/thoughts/concerns and I’d always get a response. Two days before our wedding, Elkhorn got 6 inches of rain and we were unable to use the covered bridge for our ceremony, as planned. Before I even had time to panic, Allison had contacted me with multiple options planned out and people ready to work with whatever my preference was. We had the ceremony right outside the pavilion and the reception inside the pavilion. The entire reception flowed perfectly from entry, to cake cutting, to speeches, meals, desserts, & late night snacks. The food staff is extremely professional and the food itself surpassed anything my husband and I could have imagined. I mean the food is INCREDIBLE. The setup/scenery is so pretty it felt like we barely even needed decor (big preference of mine). The bar is conveniently located right next to the pavilion and our guests were even able to get a drink before the wedding (it was HOT). For pictures, we used the pool for details, ivy wall for the wedding party, a large tree/grassy area near the golf course for family photos, and then for just bride and groom we went out to hole 4 on the sugar creek course. The golf staff were extremely accommodating with when and where we wanted pictures taken. They were able to block off time/shut down the course for us. The bridal suite is as cute as can be and can comfortably hold as many or as little people as you would like. The guys were able to golf the morning before and we were able to setup games with the golf shop. Having the hotel on site is also a huge perk to not have to worry about needing shuttles or booking separate accommodations. Being able to wake up one door down from the bridal suite made a busy morning so much easier. I truly cannot say enough good things about having our wedding at Alpine Valley and it was a day we will never forget.

e the process so enjoyable. It is evident that she and her team truly care about the resort and each client that they work with. They paid attention to and pointed to every detail necessary in order for us to have a stress-free day. Allison met with us on numerous occasions, in person, to discuss all necessary topics at hand and ensured our budget was utilized in the most efficient way. She was so easy to contact and very responsive with all of our questions throughout the process. She helped design, coordinate, and facilitate the day of operations, taking yet another load of stress off us the day of. The resort even coordinated with all of our vendors to assist with drop off, set up, and pick up of all rentals and decorations. The wedding packages come in a variety of options. They are also very customizable based on your guests needs (dietary restrictions, allergies, etc.). Another thing to mention is the convenience of the resort. Most of our guests stayed 2 nights as we were able to have our rehearsal dinner at the resort the night before. We were able to spend the entire weekend at the resort together as there is so much to do. Our guests would not stop raving about the food, amenities, service, and views of the resort. There’s spacious and clean hotel rooms/suites, golf, indoor and outdoor pools, frisbee golf, restaurant and bar, game room, and beautifully maintained grounds. This made it so special as we didn’t just have one night together, but a whole weekend to celebrate. Another thing to mention for all my brides out there is the bridal loft in the hotel. This room was so spacious and convenient for my bridal party and the salon team to do our hair and makeup. As you can tell, we cannot be thankful enough for Alpine Valley Resort. We would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a perfect wedding weekend.

dn’t feel like a standard hotel ballroom. The scenery was beautiful, and the pavilion provided a perfect, rustic atmosphere. It is important to note, though being pricier than other area venues they do not include linens or ceremony chairs in their packages, so plan for those additional expenses.
We had an extended from Thursday through Sunday, and we were surprised to find that the bar and restaurant hours were limited, even with a larger number of people staying on-site.
Leading up to the wedding, communication was generally smooth, and our assigned coordinator was attentive. However, as the wedding day approached, the experience became less ideal.
It rained and hailed that day, and although we asked for extra heaters or any kind of assistance to keep our guests comfortable, we received little support. Our coordinator seemed more occupied with indoor events and only showed up occasionally, even when issues with our timeline needed attention. Dinner was delayed, which threw off the evening schedule, and some children's meals were served cold. The food tastes fantastic though. Additionally, one of our cake boards went missing, and despite following up with the staff that evening and the next morning, we couldn’t recover it.
The final disappointment came when the night ended, and we found that all the indoor bars had closed, despite being told earlier (when booking) that our guests could continue celebrating at the indoor bar as this is "common" after weddings. This lack of coordination was frustrating, as we’d planned to get inside to continue celebrating in the warmth.
When we expressed our disappointment to management afterward, we received a brief, impersonal response that felt dismissive given the circumstances.
In summary, Alpine Valley Resort is a stunning venue that offers an ideal backdrop, but the limited hours, poor communication, and lack of attentiveness from the staff were disappointing.
We hope future couples receive a more organized experience to complement this otherwise lovely setting.
Had our daughter’s reception here at the outside pavilion. Before I tell you about the cons I want to tell you this place is beautiful. The food was top notch, thank you Leo and y...
our team! The bartender’s were great. The cleaning team was more then helpful, they even helped set up and clean up the next day. So now for the con. The event planner at this place was terrible. She liked to make promises that didn’t happen. As we know Covid effected and still has lingering effects to this industry. That being said we went for a food tasting in mid March and were told that the new bathrooms would be ready for our reception. I was told a week before the reception date they were not going to be done and we would have to hike it quite a distance for the restrooms. I made her aware that we had guests that were handicapped. So they did offer to have a golf cart that would be available to take guests to and from the bathrooms. I accepted this plan the bad part was they made a temporary path that both the cart and our guest could use and we had one of them fall due to the uneven path. I was also promised that the landscaping would be done or at least leveled and have mulch applied so it would look good. It was leveled but it was all dirt and looked a mess. I was also promised that they would handle everything. So the day of the event she was not there until just before the time of the event. She had a young girl there that I was told is her assistant that never did a wedding before. I would ask her a question and she had no answers.. she didn’t even know what to do with our napkins. We had a champagne toast most tables got champagne except for ours which had the parents and grandparents of the couple and 1 other table. Then dinner time came and I had to tell the head table to go a start eating. Then there was no direction. So every one was just sitting there waiting.. I went to find the event coordinator and she was standing outside of the building doing absolutely nothing. Dealing with her was very hard. I had to do most of my communication via email. She did respond to my emails however she would not thoroughly answer my questions or she avoid them all together. I made some changes to estimated bill that took several times of me telling her what we wanted before it would be corrected. Same with the room layout. Luckily I worked in the hospitality industry for many years and knew what needed to be done by the venue to have a successful event. However on this day I did not want this responsibility as it was my Daughter’s reception and I wanted to just enjoy it.
My day went perfectly thanks to the team at Alpine Valley Resort. We had just over 100 guest for our ceremony and reception and everything went so smoothest. From hors’du overs to ...
a plated dinner and a dessert table. The communication while planning was the only difficult step, as the event planner was switched out mid way through our timeline. Heather was fantastic and even though she was out of town on the day of she made sure we were taken care of every step of the way!!

eautiful and it was really well set up. We were not using a band, but had an ipod set up. The sound system was brand new, so we were the first people using it in that way. the ipod played, but the microphone did not work, which made the speeches a little difficult, but we made do, with only 50 people there.
The night before, my sister (maid of honor) and I stayed in a room. The shower wasn't working right, and there was a frog in our room! We had to use our parents room to shower the day of the wedding. We received the room free of charge. The wedding services were wonderful.
Great location if you have less than 200 guests.
The Staff made it so wonderful to be there. The food!!!! The peaceful surroundings. The look and feel of the Valley View Lounge. Absolutely EVERYTHING!!!! :)
