But I can comment on how phenomenal it was to work with Jen, and how I have a hard time thinking someone else could do it better than her. For my wife and me, the two most important traits we wanted in our wedding planner were effective communication, and an enjoyable personality to work with on wedding day. When we first interviewed with Jen, we quickly knew that Jen would easily check both those boxes. She wonderfully blends a joyful, friendly personality with diligence and professionalism. Sure, other planners were less expensive, but even after our initial consultation we knew that we were getting a fantastic planner with her, well worth the price. I’m a very “type A bride” who loves to try new things and she executed everything at our wedding with excellence and answered my thousands of emails over the course of almost 2 years, which was absolutely amazing. We planned a larger wedding ~200 guests, mostly out of town guests, at Addison Grove and knew nothing about planning a wedding nor planning a wedding in Austin. We learned so much from Jen! And it was such a fun process to work with her! Our wedding had all the “things”- Photographer, Videographer, Content Creator, String Band, DJ, Catering, Bar, Photobooth, Desserts, Florist, Beer Donkey’s, Fireworks, Getaway Cars, Charter Buses, Full Glam team, Rentals, And more- and Jen managed each and every vendor with excellence, taking us along for the journey throughout the whole process. I really don’t know how she does it all on top of having younger kids but she is really the best in the business. Jen is one of those planners who always will support your goals and dreams you desire for your wedding, while maintaining what’s realistic and execution-able. She tells you the “really really” and makes sure you make smart and educated decisions for your wedding day. Jen not only was able to deal with my “type A bride” many asks, but also balanced our demanding parents asks in parallel and made sure we as the couple’s voice was represented. She was always on top of her email and communication clarity, speed, and actionability was superb. Her wedding network within Austin is also outstanding- far better than most planners. She’s highly connected with all the vendors and her years of wedding planning experience show in her work- and she will make sure your day is perfect with the perfect vendors for your specific needs. Every single vendor we worked with, as recommended by her, was incredible. She also was always open to trying new things and new ideas for the wedding that were different than the average wedding and was willing to be creative and flexible with the vendors to make our dreams happen! And trust me we had a lot of out of the box ideas we learned from social media that stretched vendors to think differently! Above all else she was a joy to work with! She’s a wonderful person, has a good sense of humor, and is so kind and caring. I felt like she was such a good friend by the end of the process. When we had to change our date by a few weeks (thanks military!) and I was in a tailspin panic, she was able to talk me off the ledge. We initially were working with another planner associated with the company but ended up having to work with Jen for the last 6ish weeks due to a conflict and despite that potential complication, everything went seamlessly. She was great at communicating with us about what needed to be done, giving us tips on things she had seen work or not work, and generally making our day go off without a hitch. The last month before the wedding was still really hectic (not just because of the wedding) but it would’ve been absolute chaos if it wasn’t for Jen. She’s got a great personality and is very easy to get along with, and her experience means she’s got great relationships with other Austin-area vendors, which just makes things even easier for the day of. Roni (Jen’s assistant) is phenomenal too. She made it her mission to make sure we were well looked after the entire day, making sure we ate, pretty much constantly had a drink in hand or readily available to us all night, and ran interference wherever necessary when Jen was tackling something else. Honestly could not have asked for a better team to make our day go off without so much as a hiccup, or at least not one that we knew about - I'd give them ten stars if I could!!!
