Jake is so fantastic to work with. I was mostly a DIY bride, and I was at a total loss for some of the logistics of the wedding day. Jake helped tremendously. He helped me plan a timeline and he moved things along to make sure we stayed on schedule (which is so important for not just pictures, but really EVERYTHING). Not only is Jake well-organized, flexible, and professional, he is crazy talented. I LOVE my wedding photos so much. He has a great eye for what looks good and his editorial style provided me with pictures that are equally well-composed and intimate.

Words cannot describe how wonderful Amanda is! She photographed our engagement and wedding day and they were exceptional. Amanda was fun, comfortable, sincere and so kind. We are so thankful we had Amanda with us to capture the beautiful day perfectly.

We searched and searched for a wedding (and engagement) photographer since my sister had a bad experience going with a family friend and we didn't like the 'referrals' we got from our friends. We found Amanda (and about 6-7 others) online and met with each one. Amanda was definitely our favorite from the beginning, but we waited until we met with each one before making a final decision, because it's such an important decision! We asked my mom, Tony's mom, and my sister for their opinions about the final two photographers from looking at their websites. All five of us chose Amanda, so that made the decision a little easier! We couldn't be happier with Amanda. She delivered amazing photos, both engagement and wedding. We've gotten so many compliments on them and it was really hard to decide which ones to print and to put in our album. Amanda is really professional--she was organized, friendly, polite, reliable, on-time, and ready to go for anything we threw at her that day. My mom and I asked her for a few specific photos the day of the wedding, and she was able to handle those couple extra things no problem. Her husband, Kevin, was the second shooter, and he couldn't have been any nicer, and he took some really great shots, too! Our wedding party and guests told us how nice and fun our photographer was after the wedding. She does a good job of directing you for photos, but also making you feel comfortable with a camera in your face. She's so creative, as well. We have some really simple, but beautiful photos; stuff we never would have thought of putting together. She's just got that eye for knowing what works! We received our wedding photos much quicker than we expected, and her assistant, Annie, has been really great to work with in the making of our album. She was a tad pricier than some of the other photographers we met with, but it's well worth the price when you realize how important choosing a good one is. Bottom line, if we had to get married again, we'd choose Amanda again.

Jake was fantastic to work with. Despite having shoot ideas that were outside of his normal work, he was super creative, supportive, and professional. And on top of everything else, Jake went out of his way to accomodate us, despite our busy schedule, miserable weather, and his own personal and professional life. He is the photographer you are looking for!

Jake is so much fun to work with and very professional. It's clear he loves what he does and he is amazingly talented! So many compliments on all our photos and I am so happy!

Amanda was recommended by another photographer, who was already booked the day of our wedding. Initially, we were a little bummed because he and his wife are arguably the best in town, as well as friends. However, Amanda was awesome. Not only is she a skilled photographer, on par with the best in Omaha, her customer service is second to none. She was efficient, professional, and fun. She went above and beyond the call of duty, asking us several times during the reception if we needed anything. Offering to get us food or drinks. Having Amanda as our wedding photographer was like having an extension of the wedding party. Beginning with her "15 minute engagement photo session" through the engagement photos and up through the wedding day, Amanda was extremely professional and down to earth. She made my husband and I feel incredibly comfortable and at ease the whole time and on top of that she made it really fun. Because of the chemistry she is able to establish, she can capture the moments you want to remember - which really sets her apart from a good photographer to an amazing photographer! Amanda is the best photographer I've ever had the pleasure of working with. When my fiancé and I were looking for a photographer to take our engagement photos in Omaha, we came across Amanda's website and were immediately blown away by her shots. Amanda captures the natural beauty of the moment in such an artistic way. Since we recently moved to Omaha, we were unsure of any good spots to have the photoshoot. But Amanda brought us to several beautiful locations that we didn't even know existed. She is also very easy to work with - very professional, easy going, and fun. Overall the experience was a blast, we've lost count of all the compliments we've gotten on our engagement photos. Amanda was great to work with! And her photos were absolutely breathtaking! Soon after my wedding, I was a part of another wedding and just realized how much more energetic and "on-the-ball" Amanda and Tera her second shooter were vs. this wedding I was in. I realized how many more shots they got and how much more creative they were! This other photographer just seemed really sluggish and did not give us any direction as to where to place hands, etc. I just thought Amanda really made us feel comfortable in comparison! I hate to "diss" another photographer in my review- but not really having any photography experience, I didn't really know what was important to me. I just got really lucky to have Amanda by my side all day! She is very lighthearted and positive and keeps everything on track! We had the pleasure of Amanda to shoot both our engagement session and our wedding. She went above and beyond and traveled to Boulder CO which is where my husband and I met... Amanda was always finding ways to make our photos personal while always being very professional and helping in anyway she could. We'd highly recommend and hope you have the chance to work with her.

Bottom line: Amanda does fantastic work. From our initial meeting over a glass of wine to after-wedding follow up, she was ever organized, positive, professional, and just plain fun. I will always remember my first meeting with Amanda. We shared laughs and a glass of wine as we discussed my plans for a destination wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Photography was one of the most important aspects of my wedding budget, because the photos would be what I had left to relive the special day. I clicked with Amanda's photography style, but most importantly I clicked with her as a person! Amanda traveled to the DR with us, along with her second shooter, her husband Kevin. They truly went above and beyond any expectations my husband and I had. They spent several hours scouting locations and hidden gems around the resort and beach so when the time came to take our photos they knew right where to go. The pictures were amazing, I'm still having trouble deciding which ones to frame because I was so happy with the final product. Amanda got to know us as a couple and really captured our personalities in the photos. Not only did she shoot our big day, but she did our engagement session and a secret boudoir session of me for my husband's wedding gift! She's very dedicated to her craft and is awesome to work with. That initial meeting with a photographer turned into the start of a great friendship. I would highly recommend her, the service and value are above and beyond!

Amanda by far exceeded my expectations for a photographer. I love how she gets to know her customers before photographing them so your photos really reflect who you are and what you are looking for. She shot our engagement photos and wedding and they were both amazing and exactly what I wanted. I really enjoyed how she worked and prepared for our big day at the Happy Hollow Club as well as our engagement session in Old Market. She was extremely organized leading up to the wedding as well as the day of the wedding. She kept things very light hearted and made the day fun, because it's a long day with a lot of photos. Once the ceremony started she was pretty hidden and did a great job of just capturing intimate moments without letting you know she was there. Amanda photographed our engagement and wedding and I have to say, she was the MOST amazing and talented person to work with. Looking back, if I had to pick one thing that I felt like was absolutely flawless about our wedding, I would say our photography. She was so in control and yet she exuded such a calm and relaxed presence that day that really helped me as a nervous bride :) With an outdoor wedding and a morning of nonstop rain, Amanda never wavered in her calm approach and reassurance that the outdoor photos and ceremony would be beautiful. She kept me feeling confident and relaxed and kept the weather far from my mind. She made the day flow swiftly on schedule, and was able to capture everything that I had told her was important to us. Now having seen the photos she captured, they're even more impressed. Choosing a photographer was something very important to my husband and I. We wanted to ensure our day was as perfect as it could be and Amanda made that happen! We had a very large wedding party and a vision of what our day was going to be and how it was going to look. We were so happy to have picked Amanda Kohler Photography for our wedding. Another bride we met randomly in a flower shop recommended her so we decided to take a look at her online portfolio. We had been doing a lot of shopping around for a photographer, and thought her skill, quality, and price could not be beat. We had a blast with the engagement pictures, and she had some really clever ideas, like having a popcorn fight in a field near the Old Market. Amanda and her assistant Tara photographed our wedding on May 31, 2014 in Sioux City, IA and I could not have dreamed of a better team of photographers to be with us on our big day. Amanda worked with me in the months leading up to the wedding to figure out what pictures I wanted and with whom I wanted them. It was so nice to not worry about remembering all of that on my wedding day! Not only was she perfectly organized, she was also punctual and personable. We ran ahead of schedule, leaving more time for us to be with family and friends. My dad, father-in-law, and every other guy in the wedding party could not stop talking about how "easy and fun" taking pictures was. They have all been in their fair share of weddings and they all agreed that ours had the best photographer, and I couldn't have agreed more! Amanda and Tara were so patient and helpful with our 12 nieces and nephews and got them to giggle, which made for priceless pictures. When Amanda sent me the pictures, I had an almost impossible time choosing which ones to print off. They were all amazing, and captured real moments and real love. They weren't staged or overly photoshopped, like so many wedding photos I see. They were absolutely perfect! I will highly recommend Amanda to any/every person I know getting married in the future, because she does a stellar job and is an excellent addition to anyone's special day!
