Ambati Flowers

11/17/2017 My daughter was married this last weekend in Kalamazoo. During initial search for florist in the area we were impressed with the professionalism/the attention to detail with the owner, Sharon. The wedding took place at Kanley Chapel, which is beautiful but does have a black pad at the end of each pew that the Bride wanted to have covered. No problem, we decided to use chiffon draping & large pew flower arrangements to cover the pads. Sharon had indicated that she would be able to place the draping & to make the pew flower arrangements. Throughout the entire planning process with this florist it was communicated several times that the #1 priority was to be certain that these pads were covered utilizing the draping that was to be hung taunt straight across the pews vs the swag method. We provided several sample photos/drawings of exactly how the draping was to be done to accomplish covering the pads. Upon arrival to the Chapel 2 representatives of Ambati Flowers were working on the draping & the pew arrangements. Despite our very specific repeated directions/drawings/sample photos the Bride immediately noted that the draping was not covering the appropriate pews & that the draping was hanging very low to ground with ALL the black pads in between being attached to the pews being 100% visible. Immediately told the representatives (I believe one was owners husband) that the wrong pews were draped & that the draping was to be taunt straight across the pews vs the swag. Pointed out the black pads (like they couldn't see them - I think NOT) that were to be covered. The gentleman acted annoyed but proceeded to change the location of the draping to open up the first few pews to have access from aisle. A short time later I went to see how they were doing & much to my surprise they had disappeared. My husband ran to check to see if their vehicle was still there & it was gone! They did not even attempt to change the draping to have it be straight/ taunt to cover the pads at the end of the pews! My heart sunk & the Bride cried, At this point in time, we didn't even know where the Bridal party flowers were located until we started searching around & we found them all in boxes in the entryway. As the mother of the Bride & the person that she entrusted to follow up on her vision I totally felt like a failure & that I had let her down! I immediately text Sharon, the owner personal cell phone to see if they could come fix - but no response! They leave WITHOUT touching base or telling us where to find other flowers...REALLY! Other than standing over them I couldn't have been more clear on how it was to be done. There was no doubt in my mind Sharon didn't know how it was suppose to be done & No doubt it could not have been done. She actually went to the Chapel to verify it could be done prior to us agreeing to use her services. While the flowers were beautifully done, I DO NOT recommend this florist as a result of Sharon, the owner's Poor Customer Service, Communication and Follow thru on her promises! If she couldn't have done it Right ALL she would have needed to do is just tell us before hand. We would have figured something out vs letting down the Bride on her wedding day! At the end of the day, my Daughter was a beautiful Bride. I have attempted to reach out to them but it is obvious they don't care about reputation since they won't discuss with us, as they already have our money! Sharon helped me through the whole process! I had a wedding party of 14 people and a guest list of 300 people. She still made everything affordable and gave me exactly what I wanted! I even had a bridesmaid quit on me the week before the wedding and she helped me use the extra flowers instead of letting them go to waste. Sharon and her team are incredible at what they do and very very helpful.

I used Ambati flowers for my wedding. I worked with Sharon. She was best! She was creative, funny, understood my vision, and was didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing exactly what I wanted (read, she was patient). I didn't have a large flower budget and she worked within the guidelines and didn't make me feel cheep. I got so many compliments on my flowers! I would hands down recommend them.
