Can’t even begin to explain how Cody made our wedding perfect. Throughout our entire 16 month engagement, Cody stayed connected and fulfilled our vision like it was her own. The detail and thought she put into our ceremony and reception was more than we could have thought up, and our guests were floored! Cody’s relationships with incredible and trustworthy vendors was a huge help. She handled unruly groomsmen and last minute emergencies without flinching and truly is responsible for our perfect day! On top of all of that, If I could hire her again and again just because of her amazing energy and sweet personality I would!

Cody was, hands down, the absolutely best decision we made when planning our wedding. From the first moment we spoke, I knew she was the woman for us. From day one and through the big day, she was there for me & us every step of the way– attentive, honest, insightful, sensitive to my budget, patient, responsive, and basically my best friend when it came to all things wedding. She is an absolute PRO, and knows how to to make everything you want happen. She knows all the vendors, what's feasible, and what works well. She knows everything there is to know about weddings, and there is no way we could have had the absolutely beautiful and seamless wedding we did without her direction through the year long process, and on the weekend of. Despite leading the planning, my fiancé also really appreciated how she rolled with the punches, and would find a way to make all of his crazy ideas fit into the big day. Cody was worth every penny and more, and I could not recommend a single vendor more. She was not only incredible at her job (and a total boss) but really was there for us emotionally and as a friend as well. I can't even put into words how amazing she was to work with. This is the BEST advice I can give to any bride in the area: go with Cody.

OUTSIDE OF MARRYING EACH OTHER, CODY WAS THE BEST WEDDING DECISION WE MADE!!! Cody is the best of the best. Her professionalism is unparalleled. Every thing in our wedding was so meticulously laid out from day one. She kept us up to date on all of our vendors, everything she was doing, what we needed to do and the time frame it needed to be done in, and laid out a design plan with updated visuals so we never questioned how everything was looking. Because of her tenure, connections, and tireless work ethic she was able to give us our dream wedding while staying in budget. She saved us so much money while still giving us everything we wanted. Even up until the day of the wedding she was negotiating to make sure everything was above and beyond our expectations. She even has her own inventory of items that added unique details to our wedding without having to find and purchase them ourselves. Cody made the entire process enjoyable and stress free (well as much as possible, lets face it, you’re still dealing with family). I am naturally a very stressed out neurotic person and I was terrified how I was going to handle planning wedding. Cody stayed calm no matter what the situation and always reassured me that everything was going to be perfect, she even talked me through situations that were outside of planning (she should have billable hours as a wedding therapist). She makes you feel like you are her only client and top priority. My husband and I both felt like we were planning our wedding with a life long friend who cared about us like family. During our weekly calls she got to know us as individuals and as a couple and used that to design everything to our taste. She even surprised us with some of her own inventory items for our sweetheart table to make it extra special. It was so thoughtful and heartwarming and just shows you how much she cares. It has been a month since our wedding and we still have relatives and friends calling ad telling us it was the best wedding they have been to. They noticed every detail and all the hard work and it is all thanks to Cody and her amazing vision. She is so detail oriented, but her whole heart goes behind each of those details. I have worked with Karen with Amore on weddings for about five years now so it was only fitting to have her as my day of lead. I can't imagine having anyone else there and of course Beth who has been a part of her team much longer than me. They both executed everything flawlessly! I cannot say how grateful this mother of the bride is for everything Karen brought to our daughter's wedding! Cody was the absolute best part of my wedding, and hiring her was the best decision I made during the planning process. HIRE HER, and do it IMMEDIATELY. We got engaged on a Saturday and hired Cody on Thursday, and she was there with us every step of the way for the next 14 months. QUALITY: Cody is an amazing planner, and more importantly, an amazing person. She truly cares about each of her couples and goes above and beyond in every way to make your wedding a special and unique event. Each conversation, interaction, and idea came across as so genuine, so unique, and so "us." I have already referred other brides to her, and rave about her every chance I get. Cody helped carve out roles for my fiance to be involved in the planning process (he called her a "demi-god") and helped narrow down the field of possible decisions whenever I felt overwhelmed. She was, simply, a life-saver. RESPONSIVENESS/PROFESSIONALISM: Cody is SO on top of things. She has an incredible wealth of planning resources--a checklist that covers everything you'll need to do throughout the planning process, detailed timelines, budget spreadsheet, and more. I showed her resources to a few friends and they were in awe! And she is there every step of the way, answering calls, texts, and emails. We had weekly calls closer to the wedding which was a huge time and life-saver for me. The caterer we wanted was not the most responsive, and Cody happily took on the job of managing her. Anytime I had a question or concern, she handled it immediately. VALUE: For those of you worried about cost, Cody easily paid for herself. Not only did she help us get vendor discounts, she knows all the great "steals" in Charlottesville and vendors bend over backwards to work with her because of her amazing reputation. I loved our entire team, and Cody is 100% to thank for helping us select and book them all. Cody, we can't thank you enough for giving us a perfect wedding. We love you so much and miss you already!

Without question, apart from picking my husband, picking Cody was the best wedding decision I made. She is way more than just a wedding planner. She is a friend and confidante throughout the process and your biggest advocate. Any problem, big or small, any day of the week and she was there. Cody was not the only wedding planner I spoke with, but within the first minute of speaking to her I knew she was the best. She was straight forward and honest, and incredibly bubbly and warm. She was amazing at helping determine where costs should and should NOT be spent. She went above and beyond and exceeded my every expectation. Where to even begin? When I first started the wedding planning process, I considered the value of obtaining a wedding planner. Our budget was pretty tight, especially for the Charlottesville area, and I went back and forth on if it was worth the cost. From my first conversation with Cody, I knew there was no other way to do this, except with her by my side. IT WAS THE BEST WEDDING PLANNING DECISION I could have ever made!!! Worth her weight in gold, extraordinarily kind, professional, and caring, she is the best of the best. Honestly, I do not have any other experience with wedding planners, but I cannot imagine working with anyone else. From day one, Cody was completely on top of it (she was hired as a full planner) and presented her recommendations and ideas in a completely organized, and stress-free way (I tend to get stressed out with anything that involves planning). She was completely down to earth, and available whenever we needed her. If we would have paid her by the hour, she would have been worth 10X her cost. She was extremely aware of our constrained budget, and never at any point made us feel like we were getting anything but the best. And we did. A little over a week since our wedding, and I still daydream about the most perfect day. Seeming flawless, and off without a hitch (even though it poured all day). She made all my dreams come true, and every single guest mentioned what a beautiful wedding, with personalized touches. It was extraordinary to me that even though this is Cody's profession, every single detail felt very personal to my husband and me. I cannot say enough how much I adore this human! She is the best, and I promise if you go with her it will be the best wedding planning decision you have ever made!

Are there enough words to describe how helpful, responsive, and gracious Cody is during wedding planning? My fiancée and I aren't even clients of Cody's, and yet through a wild circumstance, were put in contact in Cody when our florist had a medical emergency and had to cancel 3.5 weeks from the wedding date. Cody stepped into the chaos, served as a POC in securing us another florist, and provided exemplary customer service in the short time we interacted. If this is the level of kindness and accommodation she provides people who aren't even her clients, I can't imagine the high level in which she performs for her actual ones. Thank you Cody, you were a life saver!

There are no words to describe how wonderful Cody was throughout the process. We were living in NC while planning our wedding in Charlottesville, VA. She understood how busy our schedules were and worked with us. Cody was there every step of the way. The day was flawless thanks to her. I truly did not have to worry about a single thing the weekend of the wedding. I wish that I could hire her to help plan my cousin's wedding in Charlotte!

I first contacted Cody back in January during the initial stages of planning our wedding. I sent an e-mail out to several planners in the area hoping to find out more about their services. Cody was the first person to respond (within the hour) and called me later that evening (on a Sunday night!)... who does that? Cody! Anyone planning a wedding knows that it can be extremely overwhelming figuring out all that needs to be done! Talking to Cody was like talking to an old friend or family member. She was so sweet and reassuring. We ended up deciding to do day of planning, however Cody did so much more than that. She was available to me 24/7 to answer questions about vendors and just give me advice or reassurance about style/decor. She even met with us for a floral meeting the month before the wedding to make sure everything was how I envisioned it would be. Cody provided the BEST recommendations for vendors-- we would have never found such amazing people to work with on our day if it weren't for her. She provided honest, helpful recommendations that were truly spot on... our DJ, string trio, florist, cake, photographer... all thanks to her!!! Diane worked with us the month or so before the wedding and was there for our rehearsal and wedding day. I cannot say enough great things about Diane, too! Amore Events by Cody is a dream! Diane took over and was in touch with all our vendors to figure out our timeline and make sure everything was in order. The day of the wedding, Diane made all of my ideas come to life. Everything was like a dream!!! Every little detail was SO perfect and I could not be more thankful. We were able to relax and enjoy our day knowing that Diane was taking care of everything! I would whole-heartedly recommend Amore Events by Cody! They are worth every single penny! This was the easiest and best decision we made when planning our wedding! We just can't say enough good things!

Where do I begin about Cody with Amore Events by Cody? Beyond a doubt, she was the best investment I made with my wedding. The first time I talked to her, I knew she was the one! Her enthusiasm for MY wedding, as if it was the only one she had to do and as if it were her own, made me feel like a close friend (but one who knew what they were doing), not just a hired planner, was helping me every step of the way. If I ever had difficulty contacting a vendor, Cody was able to get results immediately! Her relationship and knowledge of vendors was invaluable, and style aesthetic is incredible. She is so talented and creative, and helped me save money with my budget in so many ways. Whenever I contacted her via text or email, she would respond within minutes usually. She made my bouquet and it was absolutely gorgeous-I still get comments from people about that bouquet. I am actually sad that I no longer have a reason to talk to her every day because she is so warm and caring. And let's talk about going above and beyond the call of duty: on my wedding day, when my officiant arrived at the venue, she realized she had forgotten her pants! What does Cody do? She gave my officiant her pants to wear so the day would go off without a hitch! I would never have even known if someone else hadn't told me. But that's what she does-she makes sure your day is perfect by doing whatever she has to do- she puts out all fires that arise unexpectedly (and they will, trust me, no matter how well-planned beforehand) and you won't even know they existed! Cody wants you to just show up and enjoy your day and let her and her talented team of assistants handle all the work and details-working with your vendors and venue to execute your dream day. What more could you want? Look no further for a planner-it is just a waste of time and energy because she is your girl!

Hiring Cody was hands-down the best decision we could have made for our wedding. Not only is she a seasoned pro at planning and styling, but she executed our vision and the flow of the day flawlessly. Her relationship with vendors allowed us to pull a couple strings that were out of the norm and very much appreciated. Her floral design capability was another huge weight off our shoulders because her designs were beautiful and affordable. She made wedding planning fun, enjoyable, and virtually stress-free. Without Cody's impeccable planning and support, our wedding day would not have happened. Cody's attention to detail, willingness to work incredibly hard, and great deal of experience and creativity all were priceless to us as we planned our wedding from out-of-town. Cody is a delight to work with and her vast collection of decorations and floral skills are a huge value-add to her planning costs. The only small caution I would have is to make sure you are very clear about your expectations for communication and personality/working style before beginning a working relationship with Cody. Her eagerness to please can become a bit overwhelming and cause a bit of stress leading up to the wedding day. The flurries of emails as the big day neared (I'm sure completely normal) were quite stressful for me and I would've preferred a different way of getting things done during the final few weeks. However, none of this is was at all intentionally stress-inducing on Cody's part and I'm completely sure it was only to ensure the wedding day was as smooth as possible. Cody is personable and kind, thoughtful and compassionate, selfless and definitely someone we would recommend to everyone. She sacrifices everything to make sure she is supporting you 150% - including sleepless nights, hiring her daughters as babysitters, and putting up with any and all last minute dramas. We love her and consider her an extended part of the McNeill family.

We having nothing but glowing things to say about Cody. She is really a top notch planner. From the initial consult, we clicked. It's hard not to click with some like her, she is so good at what she does and she has a awesome personality too. We just really loved her energy and personality. We don't live the area, so we really leaned on her heavily for vendor comparisons -- and I kid you not, every single suggestion was spot on. She takes into account theme and cost into everything. She laid out a beautiful rustic wedding for us at Early Mountain Vineyards -- it was really stunning, like out of a magazine, she incorporated everything (farm tables, wine barrels, bistro lights, lanterns, candles, etc ..) She also does a great job mediating between us and vendors. She actually was able to help us cut costs on rentals -- oh and not to mention she will save you tons of money if you have her do the floral arrangements. Ask her to show you picture of her arrangements/bouquets from past weddings -- they are professional quality. Cody also has a huge inventory of rustic themed decorations that is at your disposal -- this will also help you save some (every little bit helps!) Just talk to her and you'll get it. Everything we're saying will make sense -- she's great at the planning process, super responsive to her clients, and a beast on handling day-of responsibilities. A++. Not only did we luck out and find a great planner, but we have a new friend.

I could write novels about my experience with Cody and Amore Events. If I had to give a bride ANY advice about anything at all having to do with their wedding it would hands down be "hire Cody Grannis." Our wedding day could not have been more perfect and it was all due to Cody's tireless efforts and the inexplicable energy she throws into each of her brides weddings. You truly feel like her one and only bride and top priority throughout the whole planning process. She has the ability to ease any worries you might have with a simple phone call. She's been there for me through every step of this normally strenuous and anxiety provoking process and has been kind and patient, and excited right along with me. I couldn't believe it. For those of you who do not know what they are... google it.. they are beautiful.. and expensive to rent! She is literally the most generous person on this earth. I will always remember that sweet surprise my heart was so filled with joy! When I walked into the reception room I was just blown away. Cody also helped support and manage my mom throughout the process too. Wedding planning can be especially stressful for mothers and daughters and Cody was the perfect buffer between my mom and I. My mom started referring to things (not even having to do with the wedding) as "what would Cody do!?" or "Thats a Cody question." I could go on for days but in short Cody is the best decision you could make for yourself.. you will gain a friend... sanity during your planning process.. and you will undoubtedly have the wedding of your dreams. Our guests were so blown away by everything and it was all thanks to Cody's recommendations and hard work. I LOVE YOU CODY!!!

I really don’t know where to begin, except by saying that Cody is AMAZING! Choosing her as our planner was the best decision we made. From the very beginning of the planning process, she was always there to take care of us. She provided us with valuable information and she has amazing vendor connections and relationships. Seriously, everyone who meets her falls in love with her. She is the sweetest person and genuinely cares about the bride & groom and their happiness - which is extremely refreshing when planning a wedding. She has been an amazing support system throughout wedding planning and really became a great friend. She took the stresses of wedding planning away - which allowed us to really enjoy it and focus on the “fun” stuff. She has the magic ability to take your vision and turn it into reality. Cody is insanely talented and everything at our wedding was styled to absolute perfection. She did ALL of our flowers... And I’m not talking about a single rose here, a single rose there. She created gorgeous and lush arrangements that were truly magazine worthy. We were completely blown away when we saw them. So many people have asked us who our florist was, and we are so happy to tell them it was our multi-talented wedding planner! Our wedding went off flawlessly and we owe so much of that to Cody. We were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the day because of her. We are so glad that we got the opportunity to work with Cody - she truly made our dream wedding a reality.

Sometimes a girl just can't do it all. I wanted to enjoy our Big Day without having to worry about what could go wrong. After discovering how difficult it could be to go through the numerous vendors that needed to be vetted through, I came upon Cody and quickly hired her to help plan our Charlottesville wedding. She was warm, friendly, and responsive from Day One. She works with some fantastic vendors and could give us great guidance based on our style and budget. She's also very intuitive. She would consult me for the details that would matter to me, but wouldn't bother me with all of the tiny details that needed to be decided upon but mattered less to me. Speaking of style, Cody has it -- I trusted her implicitly to decorate our wedding which she was able to do off some pictures I sent her over pinterest. I never had to shop for silly wedding decor that would never be used again. The end result...the wedding of my dreams...so much more than I imagined possible. And my groom and I were able to enjoy so many special moments because we weren't worried about what needed to happen in the background of our affair. It was beautiful and fun. I recommend her without any hesitation.

I'm not sure what I can say that hasn't already been said! Cody is absolutely amazing when it comes to working with you while planning your wedding day. Even though we only needed her for day-of coordination, she was absolutely phenomenal and helped us navigate anything we needed. She gave us her full attention and put out any little fires that may have come up. Her decor selection is fantastic and I'm so excited she's moving into her new space, where it can be shown off even more! What she had supplemented our decor that we had, for our rustic themed wedding at King Family Vineyards. Cody went above and beyond on every aspect of the wedding and there is no way you could go wrong with her if you are looking for a planner. She will make your wedding day more perfect than you can imagine and is just the sweetest person you could ever meet!

Cody is not only an accomplished wedding planner and coordinator, she is also an interior designer and decorator of unparalleled taste! She was able to help us turn an already beautiful venue into an absolute dream come true. This was in addition to helping us navigate the peculiar waters that surround a Charlottesville wedding: make sure you have somebody that understands the different time-line that the Cville wedding industry runs on, because the internet and out-of-town coordinator's do not! As a UVA alum that needed to get my wedding set up from halfway across the country, Cody was indispensable. Hiring Amore Events by Cody as my wedding planner was, most certainly, the best decision that I made during my wedding planning process. Cody transformed all my half-formed ideas into my dream wedding. One guest described the wedding as “like a fairy tale,” another referred to it as “straight class,” and a third could not get over “all the little details that really made it special.” Cody truly went above and beyond to make my wedding perfect! I planned my Charlottesville wedding while completing my last year of law school in Chicago, moving from Chicago to Arlington, and taking the bar exam. I strongly recommend Amore Events by Cody as a wedding planner for events in the Charlottesville area. Cody has years of experience working in the area, and so she has accumulated knowledge of and relationships with many vendors. This will save you time, headaches, and money. It is her business, which she runs on a very personal level. She is totally invested in your wedding, emotionally and financially. She spent a lot of money out of her own pocket any time that she came across something that would add something to our event. She went out of her way to try to save us money, even doing the flower arrangements herself, which looked beautiful. She was at the wedding, and saw to it that the event went off without the slightest hitch. My wife and I are not easy to please, and both of us were delighted with Amore Events by Cody, and the wedding that she planned was beyond perfection.

Confidence and care were evident as the wedding events unfolded and all flowed seamlessly. All the bouquets and boutonnieres were beautifully crafted. The bride’s bouquet was an exceptional mix of color and simple loveliness. Every detail was taken care of flawlessly, and with ease as the wedding transitioned from the UVA chapel to Mt Ida Farms via UVA transit. The elegant décor created a welcoming ambiance with beautiful bouquets in white milk glass and mason jars, complimented with books, appropriately reflecting the wedding couple! The dream wedding became a reality!

It is difficult to express in words what an amazing wedding coordinator and person that Cody is. My fiancé first contacted Cody on a Monday to inquire about her services. From his first conversation with her, he knew that I would love her. We work opposite schedules and only have Monday evenings off together. Cody was amazing and was able to meet with us that evening after I got off work . From first meeting Cody, I knew she was amazing and I knew right away we wanted to hire her. From that point on, Cody was very responsive to our emails, phone calls, etc. She helped us get our remaining vendors and had only absolutely amazing recommendations for vendors. Cody's decor and style also impressed us! She has a great taste of doing enough but not too much! She worked at our venue for the first time with us and did an amazing job. It was the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen there (and everyone else agreed too!). She even went out of her way to get other decor items for our wedding to make it even more special. On the morning of the wedding, Cody picked up bread we had ordered for the dinner and also cut fresh lavender from a local lavender farm to tie on the bread pieces. She was always eager to help us save money and had a true interest in making our day as special and beautiful as it could possibly be. Cody is an amazing person, with a genuine interest in her couples that she works with. Not only do my fiancé and I love her, but all of our family members and friends do as well. Our families loved the fact that they could actually enjoy our wedding day because of Cody and all of her hard work! She is the hardest working person I have ever met and she has such a great personality and attitude. She is real, honest, caring, and one of the most genuine people I have ever worked with. Officially, Cody Grannis was our day-of wedding coordinator for our wedding at Ash Lawn Highland. Her services included much more than that though! She was very available prior to the wedding day for advice and connections to good vendors. She helped us save money in a variety of ways and came up with great decor ideas. During my actual wedding day I really didn't worry about anything since I knew that she was there to orchestrate it all. She is a great combination of organized and easy-going, is fun to talk to, and is genuinely passionate about her job. I highly recommend working with Cody!

Cody is absolutely amazing! For any bride looking for a planner I can not more highly recommend Cody and Amore Events. Being from Virginia, my fiance and I always knew this is where we would have our wedding. However, living in North Carolina, and him deploying a month after getting engaged things very quickly started becoming more complicated. I soon found myself very overwhelmed! All her vendor recommendations were just what I was looking for and if someone wasn't available for my wedding day, she didn't miss a beat finding another perfect option for me. Finally, besides making the planning process fun, exciting, worry-free and building my dream vendor team, Cody made our wedding day more incredible than I ever could imagine. I had such a specific idea for the big day but never could have executed it myself. She listened to everything I had to say and made recommendations I never would have thought of. As a bride and full-time medical student planning a wedding in Charlottesville from out of town, I quickly became overwhelmed with the prospect of selecting and securing vendors, organizing and making our wedding happen. My mom suggested that we find a wedding planner, and we are so lucky that we found Cody! After one phone conversation with her, my mom and I knew that she would be the perfect person to help to organize all the details leading up to the wedding - and our instincts were correct! We both really connected with Cody over the phone, and felt so comfortable with her, even before we actually met her in person! Cody is warm and confident, experienced and reassuring, and available to her brides at all points during the planning process. Cody's suggestions for vendors proved to be such a valuable time-saver - we felt that we could trust Cody immediately, and we moved forward with each vendor that she recommended, rather than having to shop around - and we were so absolutely thrilled with each and every connection that she gave us. Although Cody was already booked on the day of our wedding, she was able to recommend a day-of coordinator, Cate, who was equally awesome! The transition from planning with Cody to the rehearsal and actual day of the wedding with Cate was smooth and seamless - Cody and Cate worked so well together, and both made sure that all of our vendors were ready to go. My husband, family and I enjoyed our day SO MUCH, and were able to relax and celebrate, knowing that we were in such good hands, and that all the little details had been taken care of. Cody and her team (and most especially Cate) are truly amazing at what they do, so kind and wonderful, and we can't recommend them enough! :)

Oh where to start with Cody! There are just so many amazing things about this woman. We used her as a wedding 'consultant', having her source vendors, negotiate contracts and creating the day-of timeline. We met many times over the course of a ~15 month engagement and she put together a wonderful team for us. I always felt very confident in Cody's suggestions and guidance. My wedding was in great, experienced hands! I feel so fortunate to have grabbed this up and coming star. She truly cares about her brides and will bend over backwards for them. She was flexible, responsive, and very patient with me. I had no clue what direction I wanted to take my wedding and changed my mind several times. Each time I was met with enthusiasm and reassurance. She was such a pleasure to work with! Our wedding was absolutely perfect, thanks to Cody. When I sent my initial email to her back in 2011, in our first few correspondences I knew that I wanted to hire Cody to be our wedding planner. She was so warm and kind from the beginning and I immediately feel at ease working with her. We live 3 hours from Charlottesville, so early on I knew I needed guidance with vendor selections, logistics, etc. Cody helped us with recommendations on everything from DJ's to hotels. Each need we had, Cody had several suggestions of experienced and trusted vendors. Every suggestion she made was fantastic! Although we hired Cody for 'day of' planning, she went above and beyond! Her expertise with event planning really shined though in any situation. She handled any bump in the process quickly, effectively, and professionally. I LOVED meeting with Cody. She was extremely organized, prepared, had fantastic ideas, and made wedding planning fun. I always left our meetings with a clear vision of what I needed to get done and she ALWAYS offered to help with anything. If I was feeling anxious or overwhelmed at any stage of the process, Cody always made me feel better. Another amazing thing about Cody is her response time. I swear, sometimes I didn't have time to blink after I sent an email and she already had responded! Being a graphic designer, I had a lot of little details I made for the wedding. Before I met Cody, I was very nervous about who was going to help execute all those details in the same way I envisioned them. When the wedding came, every single detail was executed JUST the way that I imagined, if not better! I didn't even have to explain much to Cody, it’s as if she could read my mind! Her eye for design is impeccable and she even added several touches here and there to enhance the things I made. Our guests are still commenting on what an amazing time they had and how beautiful it was. 'Flawless' was a way that it was described by one guest and I truly mean it when I say it wouldn't have been that way if it wasn't for Cody. I think that at that time we hired Cody, she had only about 9 or 10 reviews online and each one was outstanding. Today she has well over 5 times the reviews and each one is exceptional - it's no secret why! Your wedding day is one of the most important (and best) days of your life. One of the things that I will never forget about Cody is that she makes you feel like your big day is just as important to her and it is to you. Cody was a godsend to us! My husband and I have very hectic schedules and our wedding would not have been so amazing without Cody and Amore Events! We worked with Cody and she was always responsive with emails, phone, facebook...anything! She was very professional. She worked with us over a year and a half on our wedding with multiple phone meetings, meetings at her home and meetings over lunch in Charlottesville. She made it work with our schedules since we were from out of town. She accommodated us so well. In addition, she did all of the design for the wedding, which was gorgeous! When our flowers were going to be crazy expensive, she offerred to do them herself! She went above and beyond for us! Over the course of my 1.5+ year engagement, working with Cody was one of the best decisions that I made the entire time! From the first day that we had lunch together until the big day itself, Cody was the most important piece of my wedding puzzle (2nd only to the groom:). After about 30 seconds of meeting her, I knew that I wanted to hire her! She introduced us to outstanding service providers, effectively negotiated prices with them, did a great job managing their services and keeping everyone on schedule. Amore Events by Cody is amazing! Because I was on a budget, at first I did not plan on having a wedding planner. I really had no idea how busy and how much time goes into wedding planning! Thank god for Cody! I can honestly say without a doubt that she has helped me tremendously through this process! She is so organized and responsible; not to mention her kind nature is something that I admire in her. This process was that of an emotional one for me as I lot my mother to cancer a few years ago. So many decisions, big and small, went into planning and executing our daughter’s wedding day. Without question, the best decision we made was to hire Cody Grannis of Amore Events. Seemingly, we recruited Cody as a “Day-Of” Coordinator—someone to oversee wedding day details. But she proved to be so much more. From the beginning (10 months before the wedding) Cody made herself invaluable. She welcomed our questions, calls and emails and answered everything promptly and professionally. She made it her job to know everything that was going on with our planning. I felt that we always had someone on call to rely upon. I don’t know how she does it, but she made us feel as if we were her only clients. Without exaggerating, I’d say she responded to 95% of our calls or emails within 15 minutes. Cody is extremely savvy about all things wedding-related. She knew protocols, practices, etiquette, and had contacts for anything we needed. Included in her services was the development and continued refinement of a wedding-day timeline. This vital tool was central to the big day: everyone knew exactly when they had to be where and for what. On the day of the wedding, Cody worked tirelessly. From early morning she coordinated deliveries, departures, arrivals among a dozen or more wedding vendors. I sense that if anything had gone wrong she would have had a Plan B at the ready. I have no doubt that Cody could have solved any issue that arose. Cody is extremely hard-working and dedicated. She takes initiative—you can rarely ask her to take care of something that she hasn’t already seen to. At every step, Cody anticipated our needs and acted accordingly. She is super-organized and extremely punctual—two qualities critical in a wedding professional. I sense that Cody genuinely likes and cares very much for her brides and grooms and their families, and the feeling is mutual. We are so lucky to have found her.

To start off, I thought that I wouldn't need a wedding planner until a few months before the wedding. Turns out your wedding can be pretty stressful. The minute my mom and I talked to Cody, it was like a huge weight had been lifted off our shoulders. We chose to only have a day of planner. However, Cody went above and beyond and was available and there for us every last step of the way. If I emailed her a question that wasn't too urgent, she would still get back to me within an hour. She was absolutely incredible! Not only was she always available, it almost seemed like I was planning my wedding with my best friend. She has a great way of guiding brides without being judgmental nor to heavy handed. I never once questioned her work ethic or if the big event would turn out okay. Well, it didn't turn out just okay, it turned out amazing! Everything I could have asked for was that way because of Cody. I should mention that Cody is not only a great and well organized planner, she also has a ton of great decor which she does a wonderful job setting up which sets the stage and romantic atmosphere for the night! There is nothing negative I can say about Amore Events by Cody. Cody did an amazing job and is absolutely a miracle worker! I couldn't of asked for more!

I cannot say enough good things about Amore Events by Cody! Cody is instantaneously responsive to e-mail (which is so comforting for a crazed bride!), her decor is gorgeous, and she has the perfect eye to help design your wedding. Her bubbly personality and passion for making your wedding a dream-come-true is so inspiring and really makes everything so much easier and more beautiful! The decor we used from Cody's collection really added such a special touch to our day. We loved her shepherd hooks and lanterns, vintage books, tables, and wooden boxes, the vintage mailbox and those old leather luggage pieces are to die for! They made the perfect addition to our guest book and gift tables, and the books added a special touch to our centerpieces. More than that, though, was Cody's eye and vision: She was able to help us pick out the exact pieces that would create a cohesive look to the wedding without over-doing it (when I just wanted to clear out her whole collection and use everything!). I am an event planner myself, so I didn't think I needed to hire a coordinator, but I wish I had been smart enough to go to Cody right when I got engaged! With Pinterest and so many bridal magazines and blogs these days, it's so easy to just want to do everything. Cody is incredible to work with, start to finish, and I know my day would have been flawless if she had done the coordination too. But even though I was just using her decor items, she was always there to offer support, recommendations for any detail of the wedding, and offer a hug when I was freaking out about the weather or other details. She even came out to my venue with me to walk through the site and my plans so she could offer additional suggestions! The perfect vendor, a flawless eye for design, and someone I am so honored to have as a friend even though the wedding is over! I recommend Amore Events by Cody 100%!

Had it not been for Cody, I can honestly say my wedding would not have happened. No bride wants tornado warnings on their wedding day, but unfortunately, that is exactly what I got. Cody handled everything with grace and ease and was able to move the wedding to an indoor venue at the UVA campus. She was able to gather all the vendors and organize the move about an hour before the ceremony was supposed to take place. It was truly amazing. The new venue was absolutely beautiful, and Cody remained a calm presence throughout it all! I would absolutely recommend Cody to any bride.
