An Affordable and Experienced Officiant

Our wedding was supposed to take place last year but with the pandemic, it put a damper on all of our plans and with several date and even venue changes, Mike was SO accommodating and understanding about everything. I tend to worry a lot so would follow-up with him on our plans from time to time as well as just some general wedding questions and he was always insanely quick to respond to all my texts and emails which put me at ease. Our wedding ceremony was as perfect as I had imagined it to be all thanks to Mike! If you're looking for an officiant, I really can't recommend him enough and he also charges a very reasonable price for his services compared to others. Thanks again for everything, Mike!!

Mike was fantastic! He was very communicative and responsive, and really helped us stay in-the-loop what would happen during the ceremony! He has great energy and makes the ceremony light and fun while still being absolutely beautiful. We had a non-religious ceremony, and it was perfect with the quotes he chose to read and the "hands poem." We did a wine box unity ceremony and everyone told us how it was such a beautiful and thoughtful gesture. And he helped take care of the marriage license! I highly recommend Mike.

Pastor Mike did such a great job officiating my wedding in April 2019. If my husband and I renew our vows, I’m using him again. I had a bunch of requests too and he executed my requests perfectly, even without a rehearsal! He does meet with you via FaceTime prior to the wedding and finalizes details via email.

Mike officiated our wedding 11/10/2018 aboard Electra Cruises yacht the Eternity in Newport Beach. From our first encounter via Skype we knew we were picking the right person. Mike was pleasurable and very easy to work with. He had some great suggestions and we were very comfortable working with him. After the ceremony we received many compliments on the service. Some of our guests thought Mike was our pastor because of how calm we seemed with him. I would highly recommend Mike to officiate your wedding.

Mike was a fantastic officiant! He was kind and flexible throughout the entire process, from interviewing officiants to the day of the wedding. He has moved out of the Rancho Cucamonga area, but was able to work with us to reach a price for his travel and services that would fit within our budget. We were able to coordinate a perfect ceremony, and he has amazing public speaking skills- I'm still receiving compliments on how beautiful our wedding was, and it wouldn't have been the same without him officiating. I appreciated that he honored our wishes for a non-religious ceremony & vows, was humorous but polite throughout the ceremony (I've been to some weddings where the officiants make really off the mark comments or jokes about the couple and/or their wedding night that just always end up awkward for everyone involved), did an amazing job of presenting the readings we had selected in memory of our passed grandmothers, and kept the ceremony running smoothly. Overall I was extremely pleased and would highly recommend his services!

Mike was amazing! He was very informative and answered all questions at the very beginning. When it came time for our big day, he showed up on time, looked very professional, and did amazing on our ceremony. You can tell he loves his job and does this all the time, no stumbling over lines and made it easy to follow along. He made it very simple and easy for us and let us personalize what we wanted in the ceremony. Overall, he is very easy going and has a good sense of humor which is what we wanted in our ceremony. Pastor Mike put the finishing touch on a wonderful wedding day! We found Pastor Mike online as we were planning our wedding from the SF Bay Area. Pastor Mike met with us on FaceTime and and walked us through the ceremony flow helping to ease our fears ... Pastor Mike kept in touch until the last minute and guided our candid day with a big smile on his face (contagious). We recommend Pastor Mike, maybe we’ll do it again in 20 years? Hahaha Thanks!

Mike was the one the moment we first met with him. Funny to say but true. His calm spirit and the organization of the ceremony was just perfect! Wow. Super unprofessional. He told me is was available for my wedding date, made a FaceTime consultation, and I didn’t hear from him. I got in contact with him again through text for him to tell me he’s booked for my wedding date already. I get it, you’re busy but I’m sure you carry an appointment book.

Mike married us a little over a month ago in Laguna Beach. He was such pleasure to work with. He was very fast and responsive and listened to our needs. He was willing add, delete or make any adjustments to the ceremony. He was very on top of it. Everyone loved our ceremony. People kept telling us what a great job he did. He makes the ceremony funny, make you cry and it's done in just the right amount of time. I would highly recommend him.

Mike was perfect! He is exactly a perfect mix of tears and laughs! He was great to work with, responds very prompt to texts, always on time for our scheduled calls and early on our wedding day. We surprised both our parents with a short vow renewal during our ceremony, he made it fit in perfectly. It was very smooth and ceremony was still perfect length! He is professional and graceful (looks great in pics) lol and has perfect strong voice. His ceremony outline was perfect and beautiful. Mike was an awesome officiant. He walked us through the entire ceremony and was always available whenever we needed to talk to him. On the day of the ceremony he really calmed us down beforehand and then did a stunning job. We could not be happier.

Very lucky to have found Mike online and that he was available to do our wedding with just 2 months notice. My wife and I are not religious, but we do honor and respect the religious aspect of Weddings and what it stands for. Mike is adaptable to this, and was able to officiate our wedding with a program/sermon that fit EXACTLY the right amount of religion that was respective to our guest but more importantly, to us. We only needed a 1 hour meeting prior to the wedding to go over the details , then he seals the deal the day of the wedding. It was great that he was one aspect of the wedding we (and especially the bride) did not have to worry about . Pros: -Punctual - Reads the crowd very well ... will throw in a few jokes to lighten the mood (depending on couples approval of course) - Great balance of religion and values of marriage in his message and adapts according to the couple -Answers ALL of his text messages quickly. Last minute? no problem. - Sends the marriage documents to the county on your behalf, so that after your big day, just sit back and wait for the License to be ready - Looks good in photos Cons: -None

Mike was so amazing! He customized the ceremony just how we wanted. His delivery was so heartfelt that brought my groom to tears... it was so special and could not have been more perfect!. Highly recommended!

Mike was the first and only officiant we interviewed and we were completely confident he would be perfect for our wedding day and we were right! Not only was he professional but fit the ceremony to our personalities. My husband and I come from different backgrounds. I was raised Catholic while he was more spiritual. Needless to say I often poked fun at him at the idea that we would have a traditional catholic wedding in a church with a full mass, all while he shook his head (and rolled his eyes). What we wanted was a ceremony that would showcase our love without getting too churchy. When we first met Mike it was very reassuring that the ceremony was going to be in good hands. He walked us through the different parts of the ceremony and helped tailor a program that was a reflection of us as a couple. Mike was easy to get ahold of, professional and best of all he was witty and made the ceremony lighthearted. At one point my 13-month old daughter cried out during the ceremony and he just looked up at our guests and said: 'she always cries at weddings', how perfect! Best of all: I was reviewing my wedding photos and I came across our first kiss, it was so beautiful and more so since Mike ducked out of the way so he wouldn't photobomb our shot. Love it! He was so worth it!!

Mike was amazing from our first meeting to our wedding day. He was organized and provided several choices for ceremony types. He listened to what we wanted and fully provided. We sadly had bugs at our outdoor wedding and they really liked poor Mike. He has bugs swarming his face but he never lost his spot or messed up. He was great and we couldn't have asked for better! Mike was GREAT! He did my wedding ceremony a little over a week ago and I couldn't have found a better person. At our very first meeting, I got lost and he patiently waiting over 45 minutes for me to get there. He's very quick to respond to emails-which helped me a lot. I had to change my date and he gladly worked with me. The day of my wedding he arrived early and did an excellent job. Mike is such a warm person and everyone loved his "Hands" poem. After doing my ceremony I felt he was apart of my family and I invited him to stay and eat, which he happily accepted. Thank you, Mike!

Mike is WONDERFUL. He married us just a couple of weeks ago in Palm Springs, and we are thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with such a fantastic officiant. Mike is very professional, well-priced, incredibly responsive, and full of wonderful ideas and suggestions when it comes to planning your ceremony. We ended up putting together a beautiful interfaith ceremony (Christian & Jewish) with his help and input. Mike was eager to make sure that our faiths and personalities were represented in the ceremony language, while also providing us with examples of other beautifully worded paragraphs, versus, and excerpts. Everything flowed seamlessly, and we were very pleased with the way it all came together. Be sure to ask Mike about the "Hands Poem!" It is absolutely beautiful, and it made almost every one of our guests cry (in a good way!).

We really enjoyed working with Mike! Since we had been busy with other aspects of our wedding, my husband and I weren't too familiar with what we needed in our ceremony program, but Mike kindly walked us through the details. He was also very flexible, and worked with us to tailor the program to our liking! This worked out well for us since I wanted a religious ceremony, but my husband did not. Thankfully, Mike provided one that was a good balance!

I knew everything I wanted for my wedding day basically within 5 minutes of being engaged with the exception of the officiant! I had no idea who was going to marry us and that's a pretty important part of the ceremony! Of course I turned to The Knot and I found Mike. Great experience! Throughout the entire processes Pastor Mike was friendly, professional and very quick to respond to any emails I had sent asking questions. He was able to adjust to the type of feeling we wanted the ceremony to have and was great at making any adjustments we requested. We could not have picked a better officiant for our wedding. Not only is Mike Milam the nicest guy you will ever meet, he’s also extremely professional. We had a sit down a few months before the ceremony and worked out the particulars in which he catered to all of our needs and had an answer for all of our questions. I would have to say the reason why I am writing this review (and not my wife) is because the day of the wedding I was obviously extremely nervous, and as someone who suffers from panic attacks I was doing my best to keep it together when I saw Mike poking around the reception area. I approached him and we had a few words but what caught me off guard was how calm he was; it was just another walk in the park for Mike and his calm demeanor helped settle my nerves. A simple “everything is going to be fine” from Mike was all I needed to get me through the ceremony. His elegant mix of prayer, vows, and a little comedy made our wedding stand out from the dozens I’ve been to. I would have to say that if we did it all again I wouldn’t change a thing.
