Jennifer Valdez is the proud owner of this business. Her career began in the floral industry at the age of 16. After years of learning and developing her skills, Jennifer opened up her own floral store. This led her to be hired to design many local restaurants and bars for private events. Years later, with her family by her side, this talented individual took the plunge into the world of wedding planning. Transiting her creative and detail-orientated mindset, Jennifer was able to organize weddings that run smoothly and look sublime at the same time.

Jennifer and her team were invaluable during the planning of our wedding. I honestly do not know how I would have been able to plan this wedding without Jennifer and her guidance throughout the whole process. Her attention to detail was flawless. Jennifer knew the exact questions to ask for this wedding to be everything we wanted it to be. Jennifer and her team went above and beyond our expectations and made everything perfect. We cannot thank them enough for making our day one to remember forever.
This is the second wedding we have been lucky enough to have Jennifer help us with. As a mother of the bride on both, I cannot begin to explain what it meant for both my daughters and I to have such a caring, considerate, highly organized, creative and genuine person like Jennifer to put our trust and confidence in. There was never a doubt that she would come through with a great plan. The most recent wedding was just last year and was such a magical day at the Point San Luis Lighthouse with the reception following at the Avila Golf Resort, We attribute so much of that to how well Jennifer coordinates with all of the vendors and makes suggestions throughout. There were so many logistics to be dealt with and she made it seem effortless. She has such great insight and has established valuable relationships and a mutual respect with wonderful vendors. We will be forever grateful to Jennifer and her staff for creating such a perfect day for our daughter and son in law.
Jennifer and Her Team were absolutely incredible. They took our inspirational ideas and made them a reality beyond anything we could have hoped for. We live in LA and had a wedding in Yosemite and could not have done it without her. She has the best referrals too! Any Bride who selects her services will be lucky to have her in your corner and not have to worry about any details in her care.
Jennifer and her team were simply the best. We had a vision for what we wanted for our wedding but knew we couldn’t do it alone. Jennifer and her team have a lot of experience and know what they are doing, it made wedding planning feel so EASY for us as bride and groom. Also, when it comes to florals, trust Jennifer! She took my inspiration photos and made my bouquet and other event florals exactly what I was hoping for and then some! Every time someone asks me how my wedding was I tell them it was even better than we had envisioned, and that’s all thanks to the An Occasion team.
We LOVED working with Jennifer and team. They are so personable and caring and felt like family by the time of the wedding. Jennifer also does florals which makes the whole planning process more seamless. Additionally, she has an amazing person on her team who does signage that we loved. She also has rentals and so many connections in the area. If you are looking for a caring, expert, well-connected, and seamless experience, Jennifer and team are the best planners you could go with!
Jennifer and her team were a dream when planning our wedding! We had a semi destination wedding (out of town for us & Jennifer) with a large guest count, so executing the event as flawlessly as they did was truly incredible. She was enthusiastic and collaborative, making our requests and ideas come to life. Our venue required management of a lot of different vendors and Jennifer’s help in managing them was such a contribution to the success of our day. I would definitely recommend working with Jennifer and her team!!
Jennifer and her staff were absolutely incredible!!! We got married at a private family residence and we could not have done this wedding without Jennifer and her team. She makes sure the whole process runs smoothly and puts her heart into her work and it shows. Simply put she takes great care with her clients. Our wedding was the best day of our lives and a lot of that we owe to Jennifer. We HIGHLY recommend Jennifer and her team!!!
We worked with Jennifer to plan our June wedding. Not only did she plan the wedding, she also did the florals (which turned out lovely)! Since we live in Texas, we worked with Jennifer very remotely, often doing calls leading up to the wedding. We actually only met her in person once. We were a little nervous leading up to our wedding because we had only seen our food, tables, linens etc virtually, which can be nontraditional to the typical wedding planning experience. Jennifer did an incredible job of laying everything out and helping us choose everything virtually by sending us tons of pictures. We are so thankful for her and couldn’t have planned such a successful event without her.
Jennifer, owner of An Occasion, helped guide us the whole way. We wanted simple and that is exactly what it was! It was perfect and she was amazing from day one. She was always in contact with us and answered any questions we had right away, even questions I didn’t have- she was always one step ahead! Not only did she coordinate our day and leading up to it but she also has her own flower farm and created the most beautiful bouquet of local wild flowers. It was everything I wanted and she just is amazing! She thinks of all the little details you didn’t know about and makes the whole day run smooth. 10/10 would recommend Jennifer and An Occasion Event. Easy to work with, so organized, great recommendations, and has a few options that can work with your budget!
Jennifer and her team were incredible. Jennifer made sure the whole wedding planning process was fun and made it all so easy. She was always available to answer questions and problem solve with us. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the area and helping find vendors. She is more than just a great wedding planner and florist she is also such a great person, going above and beyond. You can tell she cares so much about everyone she works with. We could not have done it without her. She is the best!
The An Occasion Team was amazing! We hired them as Day of Coordinators, but they did so much more. They provided guidance every step of the way and went above and beyond. They were responsive, professional, and friendly. We also hired them to do our floral arrangements, succulents, and they came out exactly how we envisioned. We highly recommend them. We couldn't be happier!!
Jennifer did both our flowers and coordination. She gifted us a wedding of a lifetime from almost the very beginning of our engagement I do not know what we would have done without her and her team.
We wanted a modern old money theme (Turner classic movie vibes) with dark and moody winter colors. She turned this broad vision into an elegant timeless affair all the while keeping in mind our budget, and both of our priorities.
From creating a floral vision, to communicating with vendors she was there for us each step of the way. Both rehearsal & day of ran perfectly. I have 4 sisters already married who warned me to expect at least 10 things to go wrong -Kev and I woke up the next morning reminiscing with our family that everything had literally gone perfectly. She was warm, welcoming and professional. Her team were wonderful and personable with our guest which is exactly what we wanted- we wanted everyone there to feel special and have a great time 7 they delivered!
You will not regret hiring An Ocassion as your wedding planner or coordinator. We can't thank Jennifer and her team enough for all their help! We hired An Ocassion as a day of coordinator and Jennifer went above and beyond to help us coordinate with our venue and other vendors well before our wedding day. She also put together all our florals and decor, and everything was so beautiful and better than we could have hoped for. We didn't have many specific requests for florals or decor, but we sent some inspection photos and Jennifer executed our vision perfectly! We highly highly recommend An Ocassion. Our wedding would not have been what it was without them!
Jennifer and her team at An Occasion Events went above and beyond any of our expectations! Jennifer was always so responsive and there to help you with anything and everything. My husband and I were not sure we needed a wedding planner but SOOO happy we hired her to help with planning and day of services! She is a definite MUST! She did a great job with so many things where do we start....
An Occation Events & Jennifer did all this and so much more:
-getting our vendors all together and making sure everyone was organized before and day of without a hiccup
-keeping the day on track and making it so we didn't have to worry about forgetting to do something (great just to enjoy the day)
-Fixed my dress when it needed pinning up
-made me fantasy dream wedding come true!
