The truth is that I should've written this review 3 years ago. We got married Feb 15, 2020, 1 month exactly before everything shut down due to Covid. And from the moment we began considering the Confidante, it surpassed every expectation. Whereas other venues on Miami Beach were extremely hands-off during the tour (which is usually your first experience with the venue) at the Confidante the tour was led by Juan Gervasio, the Events Manager, who eventually was our main point of contact for everything. Honestly, Juan might just be the best part about choosing the Confidante as your venue. Sure, a lot of things matter when you're getting married and that’s what makes wedding planning so stressful: coordinating all these high-importance things into a perfect synchrony of events. And that’s why Juan is a gem and a lifesaver. He is professional, responsive, warm, friendly, he truly wants to see you have the best possible experience, he knows the venue inside and out... My wedding planning experience was honestly delightful. Not just the day-of events, but everything leading up to it was truly exceptional. When we went in for our meal tasting, for example, we brought our parents. Apparently the tasting can be a bit of a transactional experience for some, but Juan made it a fun and celebratory occasion for us, we ate like kings. It was a special way to get us excited about the wedding and our parents still talk about what a great meal that was. At the end of the day there were several reasons we picked the Confidante: it's beautiful, we had a warm and welcoming experience during the tour, and it had that art deco Miami Beach vibe with a lot of beautiful outdoor options, and it felt colorful and friendly, but it also had solid backup options in case of rain. Lo and behold, we had a MAJOR storm on our wedding day. We had to change all 3 locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) to be indoors and Juan took care of *EVERY* last detail. Looking back, I wouldn't have had it any other way. Our wedding was beautiful (and the storm also made it dramatic, lol). Our guests later shared that they had no idea we had all those last minute changes, the whole experience was seamless (and stress-free for me, which truly cannot be overstated). I'll wrap this up with one last comment about the other special thing about getting married at the Confidante: we get to go back! We got married 3 years ago (it's shameful that I haven't written a review in that time - forgive me) and we've been back for anniversaries and staycations. In fact, I am getting ready to head over today for another 1-night stay at the Confidante, just because. It really feels like the gift that keeps on giving. I cannot recommend the Confidante enough. Juan made us feel so taken care of, he was so attentive to every detail, and the venue itself is beautiful and a great destination for out-of-town guests. There is not a single (not one!) thing we'd change about our decisions or that day. Juan was the event manager and venue coordinator, but my day-of coordinator was also my florist (Ever After Florist) and they worked wonderfully together. We are so grateful to Juan and the Confidante team, you've created a memory we treasure deeply and remember longingly. Thank you! (For reference, in the photos, we had 100 people and doing a standing ceremony was always part of the plan, not a last minute change -- just for clarification!)

We had our "night before" events at The Confidante Hotel. We worked with Juan Gervasio, who was fantastic to work with! he was organized, professional and had great communication! I appreciated the communication because I was organizing my events from out of town and needed to rely on his expertise. We used the Crown Bar & Terrace for 68 guests for cocktails and plated dinner on the Terrace. The staff who served were all very accommodating, attentive and helpful to our guests and dressed professionally! The food, grilled pineapple salad, filet mignon & yellow tail snapper and key lime tart, were all served perfectly prepared and the plate presentation was appealing and tasted delicious! Maybe the key Lime tart could have been more tart if I had to say something for improvement. We also had an event on The Vista Terrace for approx. 100 guests that included an open bar and passing sweet hors d'oeuvres. This space is perfect for an outdoor event Oceanfront! We also used The Confidante as one of our wedding preferred hotels for our guests and I can only say good things about the hotel staff too! One of the things I really liked about The Confidante Hotel was the size of the hotel. Its large but not overwhelming. You receive personalized service. The hotel staff will get to know you and they are very helpful and want to make your stay and event perfect! that is why I gave this venue 5stars....they earned it and so they deserve it!

ist, along with his team, made the weekend perfect! As the mother-of-the-bride, I worked closely with Juan during the entire planning process. His intelligence, experience, calm demeanor and warm nature made the process so enjoyable. He was always available via cell or email to answer my many questions. He gave excellent advice when needed. Juan was hands-on during the wedding day. He even ensured that my daughter and son-in-law sat down to eat dinner!! From the bellmen, to the front desk, housekeeping, food service, etc. all were amazing! The retro decor is so unique -- we loved the Crown Room where the cocktail hour was held! Our daughter and her husband said they were "treated like royalty" during their stay. The Confidante staff could not do enough for us. When you choose this venue, you will not regret it!

fantastic. Most specifically we worked with Juan, who did everything he could to create the day just as we wanted. We were doing an “Indian fusion” wedding and wanted some flair with the food, Juan and the chef made it happen and the food was excellent. We also went through many changes since the wedding had been pushed back 1+ year due to the pandemic. Throughout all of it, Juan was flexible, patient, and made the many transitions as easy as possible. We are so appreciative and happy that The Confidante and team were a part of our special day.

Due to Covid, I had to change my wedding venue location from Sevilla, Spain to Miami which is my home town. I knew that even thought we were not traveling away I wanted to keep the...

weekend wedding idea. I also wanted to do something that was different and out of the box. We went with the The Crown room because it was exactly that. It was the old hotel bar, so it was perfect for drinking and dancing. It also had a beautiful view, so we were able to have the dinner portion in the terrace outside overlooking the water. From the moment we entered The Confidante we knew that this was our top choice. The hotel is beautiful in every single corner and fit my husband's and I style. We wanted elegance and glam but with a Miami vintage flair. The photos that my photographer was able to take were stunning. He had an amazing time walking us through the hotel and getting all sorts of different shots from the hotel lobby to the 1920's room. Our suite for the weekend was also breath taking and perfect for all our photos. The staff also blew everyone out of the water. They were so accommodating for everything we wanted. Juan and his staff are the best in the industry. I planned two full weddings at this point, so I had something to compare to. They were responsive and always found a way to make anything I wanted happen. I have planned and dreamed of my wedding for years, so I knew exactly how things were supposed to go. Juan always was there to help and guide me to enhance all my ideas so that my vision would happen. The whole weekend every single staff member were there helping my guests and even my vendors. My hair and make up styling even complemented how helpful the staff was. They went our of their was to make me truly feel so special throughout the entire weekend stay. The food was another area that was important to us. We are foodies at heart and wanted something different that wasn't just plain chicken and rice or stake and broccoli. When choosing the menu we were able to have a preliminary discussion with the chief, where we got to know us and was able to curate a menu just for us. During the tasting we had such a difficult time picking the perfect items. We ended up with a menu that we loved and had never tasted at any other wedding. It filled with elevated classics, which had a twist. Every single person found something they loved with the menu. Overall, even though getting married at in Miami was not my original plan, it totally worked out for me. I am so happy with the choice we made. The Confidante was absolutely perfect for my wedding and it was a dream come true.

I would also recommend this venue for all of the options they had in terms of spaces and the food was amazing! We received so many compliments the night of the wedding and everyone had an amazing time thanks to the staff at The Confidante and of course Juan. We would choose this venue 10 times over, especially if Juan still works there!

Throughout the entire planning process he was plugged in and working with us to bring our vision to life. We were also was so blown away with the catering team and the executive chef. They executed a menu that was true to our Cuban roots- the presentation, the taste, everything blew us and our guests away! Together with his team, Juan pulled together an event that was better than we could have imagined. I cannot recommend The Confidante (and Juan) enough!

I felt that they truly cared about providing me with the best wedding experience possible and that is exactly what I got. They were able to arrange early check-ins, texted me to make sure my needs were taken care of, and went above and beyond on any of my requests. We did the Cuban-themed menu, which was amazing. imes and then due to the unknown safety risks we decided to cancel the wedding for the time being. Like they say; "The best thing about the worst time of your life is that you get to see the true colours of everyone." which could not have been more telling. Not only was the confidante extremely supportive throughout the whole process, they also refunded us without a question and gave us a ton of support during a really challenging time. The Event's & hospitality team have been absolutely amazing & professional to work with and have turned a challenging terrible time into a great experience. I have to shout out our amazing event planner Juan Gervasio for being by our side and helping to make our dreams come true! We will be loyal customers to the confidante to the end!

art the event spaces are unique and allowed us to achieve the intimate vibe we were going for. We kicked off the weekend with a pig roast and cigar roller in the Carmen Miranda ballroom and terrace to give our guests a proper welcome to Miami. The next day, our ceremony and cocktail hour were held in the cozy/ vibey candle filled 1930s house, followed by dinner on the chic fully outdoor vista terrace and then took our guests down to the clubby bar Crown Room for dancing and more cocktails :) We wanted our weekend to feel like a relaxed party and with the help of the amazing Juan and his team - we were able to do so! Not to mention our guests raved about the food! Juan was fully partnered with us on achieving our vision and offered his expertise where we needed. Some examples include - serving churros instead of wedding cake, having our ceremony in the 1930s house, setting bottles of wine on the dinner tables and serving meals family style for a relaxed dinner party experience, burning our customized candles - the list goes on, but whatever we threw Juan's way he made it happen! We had such a positive and enjoyable experience throughout the entire planning process - Thank you Juan! The hotel is absolutely stunning and offers affordable room block rates. Many of our guests booked multiple days and made a mini vacation of the weekend so we really had ample time to catch up with everyone. We had so much fun at the pool and on the beach with our guests and decided to rent cabanas on Sunday following the wedding to keep the celebrations going! Many of our guests said they are coming back next year because they enjoyed The Confidante so much! One person even called their daughter an offered to pay for her wedding in full if she had it at The Confidante! We are so grateful for Juan and the entire Confidante staff - we really had our dream wedding weekend! The Confidante is a Hyatt Property so we also received Hyatt points for having an event that we are putting towards our honeymoon in France :) It also allowed our guests to use Hyatt points vs paying for their stay, enabling more guests to join us.

t of all, I want to say that Juan Gervasio is the perfect person to get anything you want done, he’s the sales and events manager. His attitude of service, kindness, professionalism and support, made the whole process a very smooth, fun and successful ride. We were almost discouraged after booking the venue, because we found a negative review about the hotel, in which a woman put everyone down, she was inaccurate and she never did business with the hotel, yet she went ahead and trashed them. However, we were promised and delivered the best time of our lives. The hotel is beautiful, chic, classy, it has many gorgeous options to choose from. The catering was delishhhh. The venue is perfect for a beach, indoor or terrace wedding. We hosted a brunch at the 1930’s house and the ceremony took place at the Century lounge. I can’t emphasize enough how professional everyone was, how flawless and smooth things went. The staff, waiters, bartenders made us feel like home. Once again I highly recommend you this hotel and the uniqueness it offers. All the precautions were taken and we were given plan b,c,d..z in case the hurricane affected us. At the end we enjoyed under a sunny day, but The Confidante was ready to make it happen for us. Juan thank you sooooo much for all you did, we truly appreciate your professionalism and the wonderful human being you are. You are a great leader and your team is a proof of that

Besides the amazing boutique atmosphere, the INCREDIBLE team of professionals at the Confidante convinced us this was the perfect place to host our one-of-a-kind destination wedding. Our wedding was expertly planned (remotely) over the course of 6 months with Corina Adaskaveg, and she was in a word, exceptional. Corina is a fantastic communicator who kept us consistently updated through every step of the planning process. We had a large number of vendors and special circumstances (hotel reservations, Baraat procession, Sangeet event, audio rentals, dietary needs) and Corina flawlessly kept on top of all of it. Corina worked extremely hard to make our wedding weekend unforgettable, and she succeeded above and beyond our (and our family’s) expectations. The wedding weekend was amazing, memorable, beautiful and well-choreographed. Since Corina had some pre-arranged travel during this time, we had the opportunity to work with another outstanding member of the Confidant team, Juan Gervasio. Juan stepped up like a champ and seamlessly executed all the carefully laid plans put in place by us and Corina. As a couple, we were free to focus on ourselves and our guests because the details and logistics were smoothly handled by Juan and his supporting team. We can’t thank Juan enough for his contributions to our special day, we will remember it for a lifetime! We want to give a special shout out and thank you to the culinary team who worked tirelessly to perfect our unique and complex Indian / Cuban menu. Team, you nailed it! Our guests were highly impressed with all the food – raving about the passed hors d’oeuvres and getting seconds and THIRDS at the reception. Thank you for taking the time to work with us to create something truly special and memorable for our guests. Hosting our Wedding and Sangeet at the Confidante gave us the vibrant stage and supremely qualified supporting team that made our dream wedding a reality. We knew it was going to take a lot of planning and patience to deliver two outstanding events and instantly recognized the Confidante team was right for the job. Corina and Juan are high-energy, focused, yet fun and easy-going professionals that tremendously helped take the stress and uncertainty out of planning. The extended hotel staff was incredibly welcoming, personable, organized and professional. We felt like VIP royalty during our stay and expect to return to the Confidante for our future events and wedding anniversaries. If you are searching for an upscale, funky venue to host a showstopping Miami Beach party, the Confidante will blow you away with its style, service, pool area, beach, cuisine, accommodations and all-around perfect vibe!

Gervasio, our Event/Wedding Specialist, was outstanding! From the moment we met Juan we knew this was the place to host a memorable destination weekend wedding. Juan handled all the details perfectly. Between the groom’s family and us, we hosted 4 events: Rehearsal dinner, Welcome Reception, the Wedding Ceremony/Reception and a Sunday Brunch. It was a lot of work but Juan and the entire staff handled it effortlessly. From the moment you drive up to The Confidante to the moment you check out, you feel special. The service at The Confidante is top notch. Everyone from the valet staff, bellhops, maids, set up staff, food/beverage service, pool and beach staff and banquet staff is phenomenal, detail oriented and attentive. As the parents of the bride, we had actually booked a different venue in our hometown for the wedding. We had gone to The Confidante as a quick getaway one weekend. We loved it so much that we requested a very last minute meeting with someone who handled hotel events. Once we met Juan and saw all the different spaces and experienced his enthusiasm for the hotel, we canceled our hometown venue and moved it to the wonderful destination of The Confidante & Miami Beach! t married - we could not pass up the opportunity to get married in a place that had so many amazing memories for us. We flew to Florida twice to scout wedding venues. The Confidante was not even on our original list of places to see, and we had no plans to go see it while we were scouting venues. My mom who was still in Minnesota happened to come across some pictures of it online and sent us the link. We figured we'd go check it out since we were there. It happened to be the best decision ever. The venue is incredible - it's a completely different vibe than that of South Beach (which believe me, is great, but wasn't what I wanted the vibe at our wedding to be). We got a full tour and instantly fell in love. Throughout the planning process Juan and his team were amazing to work with. We were back home in Minnesota and they were always a phone call away. We wanted a completely custom menu - and they met every expectation. We decided we wanted to fly down with my parents so they could see the venue, and while we were down there we did a taste testing on all of the food we had selected. Before we arrived they set up a conference call with the chef to ensure every thing was good to go. When we got there, we had the restaurant completely to our selves. My husband, myself and my parents got to taste all of the food - which is incredible by the way. We had fried chicken, 2 different types of pasta, cornbread, salads, and all sorts of amazing appetizers from pulled pork sliders to shrimp tacos. Truly an incredible experience. When it came to wedding day - everything went off without a hitch. They communicated with our flower and cake vendors, they had multiple "get ready rooms" available for us to use. They showed hair and makeup where to set up and coordinated with them. Our videographer and photographer and full access to the property which allowed us to have amazing photos and video (including drone footage!) We also had access to all of the spaces to do a rehearsal the night before as well. Let's not forget the rehearsal dinner! One of my favorite memories of our entire wedding. We had originally planned to go to a chain restraint to host all of our guest from out of town for our rehearsal dinner - and I am so glad we did not. They have a really cool spot on the property called the "1930s House". They proposed the idea that we use that - and it was amazing. We rented it out, had it to ourselves, and all of our guests were WOWed by the experience - and again, we had a completely custom menu. (Our photographer was at the rehearsal dinner and our photos from this dinner are some of my favorite). I would recommend the Confidante to anyone who is considering a Miami wedding. We had the experience of a life time, and Juan and his team were amazing to work with. We will be going back for years to come!

l in Miami, I loved the mid-century aspects of this venue more than anything and I just couldn't wait for my guests to see it. From the moment we met Juan, the Event Sales Manager for the venue, we knew we were in good hands. He showed genuine interest and excitement in our plans and wanted to make sure we were happy every step of the way. Next was the tasting and oh my god, was it incredible! The food absolutely blew us away. This was pretty much the second most important thing to my husband and I aside from the venue itself, and it was nothing short of perfect. Our guests are still complimenting the food! Every note and suggestion discussed during our tasting was taken into account and came to fruition the day of our wedding. The staff that worked the wedding and the cleanup were absolutely amazing. Each and everyone was so friendly. We were even assisted in getting some floral arrangements to our guests vehicles and our personal belongings back up to our room at almost 1AM. Our brunch the day after our wedding was delicious and perfectly set up. Yet again, Juan was there to make sure we were happy and well taken care of. Ultimately, our wedding was a dream come true. I would highly recommend this venue and everything that comes along with it.

ery art deco/Miami Vice. The hotel is not huge, which I loved as wanted everything to feel intimate. It was everything I never knew I wanted for my wedding. I had no idea what I even wanted my wedding to look like and after going on my first visit to The Confidante, I knew I wanted to match the aesthetics of this little slice of heaven. Then I met Juan and knew I had made the right choice in choosing my venue. Juan is truly AMAZING and one of a kind! When we sat and talked, and I explained to him my vision for my wedding it was like I had met my creative soulmate! From beginning to end, he was always on top of everything we were in constant communication throughout my entire wedding planning process, I would send him emails and within the hour I had responses, extremely helpful and always striving to make me happy in any way that he could. I felt confident that he had everything under control and my wedding day came and it truly exceeded my expectations! The food was superb, and the service was excellent, after the wedding ALL my guest did not stop raving about how great the food and service was and how much fun they had. It was truly a night to remember. I was so sad after it was all over, because I truly enjoyed my wedding planning process and I know it was all because of my vendors, the venue and Juan! To this day I still talk to Juan as I feel I gained a new friend. The marketing department loved our wedding photos so much that they are now using them for their marketing packages, The Knot (as seen above ☺) and ads in magazines!! because they used our photos the hotel gave us a free night stay, dinner and we even had a cheese tray and a bottle of wine waiting for us in our room when we checked in, it was great to go back and spend a weekend there after the wedding as it brought back all the memories. I definitely recommend The Confidante you will not be disappointed! If I could go back and do it all over again, I would pick this hotel every single time.

I had my wedding at The Confidante in April and it was absolutely AMAZING!!! Below are my pros and kind of cons (they weren't really cons, just something to think about.) Pros: 1.)...

First off, JUAN WAS AMAZING!!! He is the venue coordinator! When I originally signed the contract for The Confidante there was a different coordinator so I was kind of mad when I found out I was getting someone new but he was a god sent! He was fun, knowledgeable and extremely creative. He totally understood my vibe and did everything he could to bring my vision to life. He was responsive throughout the entire process. Honestly he was just so fun, he felt more like a friend helping me plan my wedding than a venue coordinator. He just really made me feel special the entire year of planning. 2.) The food. Wow people still talk about it to this day! It is VERY unique and VERY delicious. It is not your standard boring hotel wedding food. I was obsessed with the hors d'oeuvres, I asked for them to save me a platter for after my ceremony. They are also very accommodating with allergies. 3.) The venue itself is just beautiful and different. It has that art deco/miami vice feel which I wanted because I was going for a bohemian beachy/miami/modern look. 4.) The staff at the hotel treated us like royalty the whole year leading up to it. We stayed there about 3 times and they would send us champagne and get us a cabana if it was open. Everyone was so nice, I felt like a celebrity every time I was there. 5.)I was preoccupied but apparently people LOVED the bartenders! I have been to weddings where they are stuffy and mean but I was told ours were really friendly and made amazing drinks. Things to think about. 1.) The venue is not overly huge! We had to get creative with our reception of 120. We had dinner in the banquet hall and dancing in the library like room. It was pretty crowded with 120 people so I would 100% not suggest any more people than that. 2.) I booked a beautiful suite for my wedding and showed up prior to my rehearsal... but check in was not until 4 and people were staying in there so I couldn't get ready. Juan helped me get setup somewhere else but just keep in mind they have a limited about of suites so plan accordingly! I loved my wedding so much! The confidante was the perfect location for something unique and fun! People still talk about how much fun they had. So much better than your standard ballroom wedding. If i had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have done it anywhere else.

antly the staff went out of their way to make our wedding day perfect. They went above and beyond in service and personalizing the entire event, pro-actively taking care of every detail. I will highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wedding on Miami Beach!
