They were wonderful to work with - everything went as planned & looked beautiful!
The Anderson Center is a wonderful wedding venue. The grounds are absolutely perfect and offer lots of places to take pictures :). Amy was wonderful to work with and made the process very simple. We used the lower atrium for cocktail hour and then the community rooms upstairs for our reception. Amy and Anderson Center staff looked out for us and told a local high school that students could not take homecoming pictures at the Anderson Center since it was the same day/time as our wedding. I highly recommend this venue.
Amy was great to work with and my ceremony was beautiful. Gorgeous grounds for photos as well
They provide the reception tables, chairs and table cloths at no extra cost. You can't have any candles in the building or put anything up on the walls (but I wasn't interested in doing that stuff anyway). It's a pretty great value and they've got a nice lake in the back.
The Anderson Center's ballroom on the second floor is a great room for a smaller wedding. I had only 80 guests, and it felt great, I wouldn't ahve wanted more than 100 in there. The space is very plan, but I think that is great since I wanted to add in my own lighting.
Outside, there are ponds, bridges, and stepping tones in the water. We got some awesome pictures. I actually regret not getting married right there, outside.
Overall, the Center is easy to work with, but I also thought pretty pricy for what you get since it is just a small plan room that needs a lot of extra stuff to make it look more like a reception room. In fact, there is a Judge Bench in there! I just had out lighting company add in some white draped walls and no one knew it was there, but that explains why the room is not exactly wedding ready, it is not meant to be.
Amy is fantastic and was incredibly helpful and patient with my high maintenance family! As soon as we walked in the venue, we knew it was the place. It is such a beautiful and lovely space. We had a larger guest list than expected, and they worked tirelessly to fit us in. We had dinner at the top level and then dancing on the bottom level. It was a like a really fun party! My only improvement would be to somehow allow the lights on the bottom level to be lower. The reception was a little on the bright side. The venue allowed us to bring in any caterer and our own alcohol, which made the wedding very budget friendly.
The venue was perfect, we were able to decorate it exactly as we wanted to and it was easy to work with everyone involved. There was a scheduling conflict that arose, but those in charge were willing to work with us and resolve all issues. Our wedding was perfect!
The Anderson Center is a beautiful place for a ceremony on the East side of town. We really lucked out on the weather that day (sunny and beautiful and 70 degrees!), and we were able to have our ceremony outside. The green backdrop of the hill behind us was perfect in its simplicity! The reception was wonderful, with plenty of room for our guests to mingle in the lobby and the outdoor area the had a scenic view of the sunset over the lake. We also rented out the Dressing Room & Green Room, so that we could get ready-- it was a huge time saver, and the makeup room is huge and well lit with mirrors practically wall to wall. We had our hair and makeup artists/stylists come to us. I highly recommend this to reduce your stress on the day of your wedding.
I had a small wedding of 50 guests. The ceremony was outside and the reception was inside downstairs. Amy was amazing, her assistant was amazing and the guys that were working that night were awesome. It was a very DIY wedding, so we doing everything ourselves, but they chipped in and set up and took down the chairs, helped us cart everything away at the end of the night and were all in all the nicest guys. The location is beautiful, we had family from Dayton and Kansas asking how we found such a beautiful place. The tables were arranged exactly as asked, Amy kept in contact with us throughout the planning and the supplied linens were very nice (our colors were purple and black). It was also extremely cost effective, much more so than any other place that we looked at. I highly recommend this venue.
The facility is fairly new with a beautiful design and outdoor landscape for pictures. Amy was was willing to work with us on all the details, plus we were able to choose our caterer, there was no mandatory vendors. We rented the entire building and it was a great layout because guests could be up stairs and still see everything going on downstairs on the dance floor. The theater was a little tricky to figure out. My dad and I had to come in from the side of the stage for the ceremony because there is no center aisle and the side aisles are not wide enough for 2 people to walk down together withour tripping over your dress. Overall, it was a flexible venue where we could pretty much do anythign we wanted.
Well, overall it was a FABULOUS place to have a reception. Amy, the coordinator was great and accommodating. The room shape was awkward, however, worked in the end just fine. The buildings ambiance was perfect. They had transportation for my event which was great! My biggest issue is they didn't have the music working and so my guests sat for an hour with nothing....until they figured out the mute button was on. HORRIBLE...this still eats at me. Something to think about?! Also, myself the bride (and groom AND GUESTS) had to be the ones playing with the lighting?! We were flicking lights on and off to make it correct. I was embarrassed.
The building was modern and beautiful. The facilities had everything I needed included a dressing room for the bridesmaids and the groomsmen and beautiful solarium for cocktail hour which had a player piano. The reception area had lots of room for a dance floor and a great outside area for mingling guests. My wedding was moderately small and this space was excellent for a 150-200 person guest list.;This is not a great space for a huge wedding. The building is gorgeous however but the place can really only hold about 250 people for a sit down or buffet dinner.
