I would give one star if I could. Absolutely horrible experience. Dress was ordered wrong. We were given ridiculous excuses for the mistake and even told we would have to re-order and pay for another dress. It was determined the dress could be altered but the workmanship on the alterations was extremely shoddy and unacceptable. After giving them 2 chances to get it right and paying $400, we took the dress and had it redone. Stay away from this place!!

Anderson’s was AMAZING!! Jewel was knowledgeable, professional, understanding, and was very kind and understanding. She helped me find my dress and made the entire process extremely easy and fun!

Andersons was great! Always responded to me timely, was able to go in multiple times to try dresses on and even suites. Erika was so helpful and friendly, this was the 4th and last shop I went to and so glad I did. Highly recommend shopping here for any dresses/suites. Thank you Andersons for everything

Anderson’s bridal was my first and ONLY stop to find a wedding dress! They have an amazing selection and they’re so so so helpful in narrowing down the options! I had an amazing experience and would recommend everyone check them out!

I booked an appointment in January 2021 to begin the search for my dress. I worked with Kirsten, who was very helpful and patient. She listened to what I thought my style was and looked over inspiration photos with me. I tried multiple dresses and eventually went with a style I always envisioned. I found “the dress” after three visits in two weeks. Since I liked the service and experience so well, and my fiancee and I wanted to support local, I made an appointment to bring my bridesmaids in. We worked with Kirsten again and the girls had a wonderful experience as well. My dress arrived two months ahead of schedule, which was fantastic. The bridesmaids, however, arrived six weeks later than we were orignally told. It was a little frustrating, as we then had to wait another month for an alterations appointment (from a different location). My fiancee and his groomsmen all were measured for their suits. My fiancee purchased his and we rented for his groomsmen. We ordered about 5 weeks prior to the wedding. We were told his suit would be in two weeks from the order date, and the rentals a week before the wedding. Three weeks later, no suit. We called the shop numerous times and no one answered. When we finally got a hold of someone, they said all suits will be in next week. That put us a week before the wedding. That week we called. Again, no answer. Jim, the suit guy, called that night (one week before the wedding) to schedule an appointment for all of the guys to go in to try on their suits and have any alterations taken care of. Fast forward to the following Tuesday, two days before the wedding. The guys arrive at the shop, which is about an hour drive, only to be told the suits are not there. My fiancee said they were not able to come back, so Jim had to deliever to them. He promised to deliever by noon the next day. He didn’t. He called at noon the day before the wedding to inform us that the suits haven’t arrived due to a weather delay and he could have them overnighted by noon the day of the wedding. We were scheduled to be at the venue by that time. And we had no guarantee that the suits would even be delievered. We ended up going to Mens Warehouse and puchasing three suits so my soon to be husband and his groomsmen could be properly dressed for the wedding. Jim was very unprofessional during this whole disaster. He never called to tell us that the suits were not in before the guys drove an hour into the city. He failed to deliever the next day and could not guarantee 100% that we would even have them, even though we ordered 5 weeks prioe to the wedding. He ignored our calls after the wedding when were trying to get a refund. We also asked that he cover the difference of what we were forced to purchase as no one can rent us a suit 24 hours before the wedding. Jim eventually returned our calls, after many, many attempts by us and hesitated to fix his error. In the end, we did get our refund and he did cover part of the difference, but his unprofessional attitude made that extremely difficult. I really wanted to recommend Andersons Bride to others, but unfortunately I cannot. The unethical and unprofessional behavior by Jim (who is one of the owners) keeps me from suggesting this business to others. It is not right to cause a bride and groom and their families that amount of stress and an additional financial burden hours before a wedding.

Go to Anderson’s Bride!! I had an amazing experience here. Erica was so helpful and made finding THE dress so much fun! They have a fantastic selection for all sizes. She made sure that I absolutely loved my gown and I got everything that I wanted! I went to two other bridal shops before and did not have great experiences. Anderson’s is the place to go! You won’t regret it!

I absolutely loved dress shopping at Anderson’s! The first time I shopped I came in with five family members and we had an absolute blast during the appointment. Everyone got to run around and grab dresses and bring me their suggestions and it was so much fun, like the scene out of a movie and really what I was hoping for in my shopping experience! The ladies working were incredibly helpful and kind amidst our chaos. The second time I shopped I came in alone and had equally as much fun because of their wonderful crew. I’m pretty sure they opened the shop early for me, they let me stay for HOURS and helped talk me off of nervous, unconfident ledges to try on the dress that I was nervous about but ended up picking (on another day)! The third time I came in I brought my maid of honor. They were ready to go with my two final dresses, so helpful while I was making my final decision and we left with a dress ordered! After my dress came in, I had the alterations done in house. They let me switch out the veil I had originally ordered to the one I really wanted and were incredibly helpful and communicative the whole way through. This was the only shop in town I visited more than once and I was absolutely thrilled with my experience. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to find my dress!!

Visiting Anderson's Bride to find my wedding dress was one of the best decisions of my wedding! The entire experience was perfect, and the ladies made me feel so special looking for my dream dress. I didn't know what I was looking for, and was given so many options to try until I found what I loved. I would recommend Anderson's to any bride!

Absolutely loved my experience with Anderson’s Bride. The lady who assisted me, Oma, was wonderful and I felt comfortable and taken care of. They have a fantastic selection of gowns in all shapes, colors and sizes. There’s nothing worse than going to a shop where everything is too big or too small. The seating/viewing areas are large and comfortable. Perfect for myself and a few close family/friends. They also have a beautiful collection of accessories and veils. I am grateful for their professionalism, knowledge, and support. If you do go to try on gowns ask for Oma!

Seriously love this store and the amazing staff. If your a bride to be and really want a place that takes the time to listen to your needs but also offer very professional experience this is your place. We have a description and they found the perfect dress.

Erika and the team at Anderson's Bride were absolutely wonderful and helped me find the dress of my dreams. From the time we got engaged to our wedding day was about six months so our options were limited but their in-house stock was amazing. I found my dress on the rack and was able to make minor alterations to make the dress perfect for our beach wedding. They were quick, attentive and completely professional and made my dress shopping experience a dream. I would wholeheartedly recommend the team at Anderson's Bride!

When I walked in I had my mother, best friend and my best friend’s mom with me. I was so excited to try on dresses. I started to feel discouraged because I was a bit bigger than I wanted to be and the size of the dresses that I had to try on made me feel less than myself. The owner, Erika and my dress consultant, I think, could see how down I was and they lifted me up so much. By the end we found the dress and I left smiling. I value them so much for making me feel beautiful even though I didn’t feel like I was.

I can't say enough about my experience at Anderson's. I had been to two other salons before and it wasn't until I stepped out in the first dress at Anderson's that I felt like a Bride. Erika is truly amazing at what she does and really did become like a grandmother (Oma) figure through the whole process. I tried on about six dresses and narrowed it down to two, but then I was putting those two on over and over trying to decide, but I never felt rushed or pressured. When I did make a decision and started crying Erika gave me a big hug. Once I went to alterations, that was when the rush began. I am from Anchorage but live in Colorado. This was my only chance to go dress shopping with my mom and sister before the wedding but I had to leave back to Colorado in five days. The alterations people at Anderson's made sure that my dress was perfectly fitted to me with three appointments in four days! It was unbelievable! During my second appointment, I almost fainted and I was taken such good care of! It was a whirlwind, but I flew back to Colorado knowing I would look amazing on my big day and I was so thankful that I got to have the experience with my mom, my sister, and the wonderful team at Anderson's.

I was very happy with my experience at Anderson's Bride! The saleswomen were very helpful, without being pushy. My dress (Maggie Sottero) needed a couple of alterations, and the seamstress did a phenomenal job. I would recommend them to anyone.

rika Oma is the absolute sweetest. She knows her stuff and treated me like a daughter from the moment I walked in. Additionally, she let me see her whole selection in the store. I’ve been to a few other bridal boutiques at this point and usually only can find one dress that I was “yea-maybe” about.. at Anderson’s I was able to find 4 gowns I absolutely loved!!... picking one of the 4 was incredibly difficult BUT Erika helped so much by posing me and positioning the mirrors so I could see side by side pictures of all of them! Ultimately I ended up purchasing my gown there and am very excited to have my alterations done there as well. Highly recommend Anderson’s Bridal and Erika!

Of the 3 places I shopped for a wedding gown this was my least favorite. I didn’t get service anywhere close to what I had gotten from the other 2. She didn’t pull any dresses for me so I had to go through everything myself. Not sure why. I was confused because most sales persons would notice what I liked and didn’t and grabbed more for me to try. She also didn’t really help or assist me in getting into and out of the dresses. She was nice but it was not a quality experience. I would not go back.

Had a great overall experience at Anderson's Bride. It had a great selection (for Alaska) and the salesperson I worked with was very helpful. I didn't want a train on my dress and she guaranteed that I could have it altered. I couldn't give 5 stars because one of the seamstresses said I couldn't get the train removed and I had to fly back to Anchorage (from Fairbanks) to get the dress altered. However, the owners were VERY helpful in getting the dress altered and they have a new, wonderful seamstress who hemmed my dress and train just as I wanted it. They fixed their mistake and made everything better. The dress looked beautiful on my wedding day and I loved it!

Purchased my dress directly from Nicole Miller website, used Anderson's for alterations. In my opinion, it was incredibly overpriced (including an substantial additional charge since I did not purchase my dress from them) and not the greatest quality work. Also seemed to take forever, and my dress was very simple. Would try someone else if I had it to do over again.

Jim and Erica run an amazing and personalized business. I brought my bridesmaids and mother to help find a dress and we had such incredible service. They pulled out so many dresses for me to try on and helped me into every single one. I also got a headband and veil from them, quality was amazing. The alterations were so well done and detailed. We also got our tuxedos from them. Star assisted is and we could not have been happier with the product. We rented 7 tuxedos and our fathers and groomsmen looked impeccable. The measurements were spot on. Also, if you rent 5 tuxes you get he grooms for free which was great!

This salon has a wide variety of dresses (for Anchorage); some are designer. I lucked out finding a Maggie Sottero dress of my dreams. Alterations were quick and done beautifully. I gave both quality of service and professionalism two stars because at my first appointment, my consultant was busy with another appointment and barely paid any attention to me! She let me and my friends shop ourselves without much direction. She never asked about my budget or style. I also was directed towards my dressing room where I continued to have no assistance in trying on the dresses that I picked out. The consultant would occasionally pop her head in when I was in front of the mirror and offer her two cents. In the end, she did pick out the dress I purchased, but overall, I was very disappointed with her level of attentiveness. Wedding gown shopping is a once-in-a-lifetime event (for most people) and this salon definitely did not make me feel special. Also, this salon needs a makeover! This was definitely not the place I envisioned buying my dress, but you make due having so few options in Alaska...

I went on without an appointment, but Star was awesome! She helped me find not one but TWO amazing dresses! My alterations were done in 10 days (with three appointments total), and at the end of the day, I loved my dress!

Alterations at Andersons Bridal did an amazing job on my dress! It was beautiful.

I LOVED my dress from Andersons, but I was not overly excited by Andersons itself. My consultant was scattered and always working with other clients at the same time. Their prices for gowns were a little higher, but I think worth it. What was ridiculous was the ship time. Their prices for accessories I did not feel was worth it. My dress, rushed, was still estimated at 20 weeks. They gave me a date that my dress would be in and it ended up being 4 weeks later. It was 2 weeks earlier than my "deadline", but longer than they had promised. Also, they would not order bridesmaid dresses for me unless I had 4 or more bridemaids, which I thought was ridiculous so I went elsewhere.

I am a bigger girl so I thought it would be difficult to find a dress, but Anderson's had a wide selection for all sizes. I bought the dress, vial and headband for all under what my original budge was for just the dress. They made me feel beautiful and were willing to let me try it on throughout the 15 month long engagement!

I absolutely loved working with the ladies at Andersons. They were so helpful and honest. The alterations were perfect!

My groom and his party ordered there suits from here. They wrote down the size wrong for the groom and he was given a jacket 3 sizes too small. The day before the wedding, they said it was 'not their problem.' The associate even suggested I change my wedding colors. This was unacceptable and the groom had to wear his fathers jacket which left the father trying to find another suit the day before the wedding. Overall, I was not pleased with Anderson's Bride and would not recommend them.

This is the only bridal shop I looked at in Anchorage. I went to a wedding show and asked if I could look at dresses the next day which ended up being a day they were closed. I told them I don't live in town and would be leaving town soon and they were able to accomodate me and see me after hours. I was the only bride in the shop when I tried on the dresses and it made my day so special! I didn't end up purchasing my dress from Andersons but I will recommend them as much as possible for their service alone.

I didn't buy my dress at Anderson's however I did get my dress altered here. They had amazing service and were able to squeeze me in 3 weeks before my wedding day when my previous alterations shop fell through. While it was very pricey my dress ended up being absolutely perfect.

I bought my wedding dress through Anderson's Bride. It was Perla Lynette by Maggie Sottero, gorgeous dress in my opinion :) The women there are anything short of fabulous. The provided phenomenal service to myself and my bridal party every time we went. The alterations were spectacular! The dress was not an easy alterations task, for lack of better words, and she made the dress look amazing and it fit perfectly! I couldn't have asked for a better experience than what I received from Anderson's Bride. Highly Recommended from this bride :)

I found my dress here the first day I started shopping. Star was the one who helped me and she was excellent and was able to match my body type with dresses that would work well right off the bat. The alterations were perfect as well.

Anderon's is great! They have a big selection of dresses by designers such as Maggie Sottero and Alfred Angelo. Erika was very helpful, and the alterations seamstress also did a great job. I was able to get a good deal during the PFD sale; about $1100 for both my Maggie Sottero and my veil. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wedding dress in the Anchorage area

Anderson bride had many selections and beautiful wedding dresses. I tried on a gorgeous Italian wedding dress. It wasn't in my price range but totally worth it if you were going for that style!

I was an out of town bride and they were so accommodating! When I went for my fitting they were able to make numerous changes and even add beading in only 2 days. Wonderful seamstress.

Erica was awesome she made sure everything was perfect. My dress came in on time and they did the alterations very fast.

Anderson's was great with helping me find my dress and treated me like family each time I would come back. I had my dress altered... I added a strap and had a bustle put in.. and they both broke by the end of night. :(

Anderson's was so wonderful. I worked with Erika (the German lady) who remembered me from being there for a friend looking for dresses. She was so funny and friendly. The dress I found was perfect. The customer service was great, the alterations were wonderful. I felt like a princess and looked like one. :) PLEASE GO HERE.

Worst experience there never going back

I purchased my gown at Anderson's because it is where I found the perfect dress, so I didn't care about the poor service ratings I saw. My dress came in early, and alterations were done in a timely manner (although I did have to have one part re-done). The problem is a lack of sales associates. While I loved the lady that helped me personally, they are always trying to take care of too many things/people at once. After my dress came in they put me in a room to try it on then never came back to lace me into it. I had to wander around the store barely covered to find someone to lace me up.

The only reason I bought my dress there was because they are the only dress shop in town other than David's bridal. Service is terrible, dresses are expensive and they have strange hours... Shop out of town if you can.

Anderson sells the best dresses in Anchorage and their other accessories are great, but their service is a bit lacking. When the bridesmaids dresses weren't in 5.5 months after ordering them, it took threats before Anderson's would really look into it. Then, when my bridesmaids brought the dresses in to be steamed a few days before the wedding(as they were told to do), the staff gave them a hard time and said they didn't have time to do it. There were other things as well that I simply did not think were professional. In the end of course, all the dresses were perfect and we were very happy. I just didn't appreciate the stress I had to go through for things to turn out okay. Also, I felt that the alterations fees were incredibly high!!!

I found my dress here on my first trip shopping. They were very accomodating to my large group that came with. I bought the sample dress and was a great experiance knowing that it was mine right then! Every one was very nice and helpful. My only complaint would be scheduling difficulties and when they needed to cancel, they did not call you before you show up, and I live an hour away. Also the tux shop is the same place, and they were a little hard to work with because they would not order a try on becuase it was prom season, dont get me wrong, but a weddinng is a bit more important then a prom in my opinion and would think it would be the same for others.

Using this vendor stressed me out. I tried on wedding dresses at this location and was made to feel large and unattractive as a bride. My style suggestions were not taken into account when dresses were pulled for me to try on. I can see adding in one or two different ones to get the feel of different styles but not totally disregarding the bride's input. I did order my bridesmaid dresses from here. Though I loved them they took forever to arrive even when I paid for rush delivery. The computer would not accept the double rush delivery that the dress company offered so the sales lady said she would make a note and make sure it got added but it never did. When I called to check on them phone calls were not returned and they couldn't track the dresses down. I was very worried that alterations would not be done in time because their alterations gals were out for a week or two but luckily they were not needed. It added a lot of stress to work with Anderson's Bridal.

After trying dress I went to Anderson's Bride for a last resort; When I walked in the ladies were so nice and knew my style without even asking. They pulled out a dress and it was THE ONE! I loved how they cared and knew what I wanted! They should have been the first stop and shop place!

This place was a nightmare to deal with! The only good thing was that I love my dress, that is when I finally got it, the day I had to fly out and literally had to pick up my veil on the way to airport. They seem to have a complete lack of communication there. From lying to me about when my dress would be here, to then still trying to charge me rush shipping even through the dress was weeks, weeks! late in getting here!! It was a horrible experience, so stressful and they seemed oblivious to that, which was just sad as this is their field, they should recognize the stresses of planning a wedding and try to help, not add to it. I would warn all from using this place if it can be avoided, and if not, stay on top of them. Don't expect them to call you back even after you've left multiple messages!!!

Due to the high prices and the snobby attitude I had seen in the past I did not plan to buy anything from Anderson's. As soon as I walked in and started working with Amanda, I changed my mind some. She was very helpful in showing me gowns that would look good on my body while being aware of the prices. I always felt like the only bride when I was in there, even though I could see others trying on their dresses. The alterations were quick and amazing!

I did not buy my dress here, it was actually a craigslist find! But I had a corset back and lost the back panel. I brought my dress in and their onsite seamstress made me a new one while I waited! And she only charged me $15! But while waiting, I did glance at the price tags, very pricey dresses. Designer gowns, that are top quailty, and certainly alot nicer than David's Bridal, both the product and the service.

anderson's is lucky there is a monopoly in anchorage. they were really the only dress shop with a good selection. you will find your dress for sure with the help of either erica. if you don't deal directly with them, don't bother going. service is horrible. dresses are expensive. the alterations department is spot on, except when they forget to sew on the closure for the back panel of your dress!! it happened to me, and i didn't realize it until my wedding day, so in all my pictures, my panel is sticking out of my $2000 dress, making it look unfinished and ugly! by default, i will still recommend this place over the others i went to, because of their selection.

I wanted a maggie dress and this is the place in Alaska to get them for sure. The girl that worked with me to find my dress was so lovely, and she always remembered me every time I came back in the store.

Loved my wedding dress! I found a picture of it online, but Anderson's didn't have it in stock. They ordered in a sample gown from the designer for me to try on, and it was perfect! I ordered it immediately. It took a few months longer than anticipated for the dress to arrive, but luckily I'd ordered it early enough that it didn't matter. We also purchased the bridesmaid dresses from Anderson's and they arrived late as well, but it was the busy summer season. Keep your wedding date in mind, and order early. Alterations were performed on site and quickly! I'm so happy I got my dress at Anderson's! Beautiful gowns, and the best selection and staff in town!! Erika N. was great! :)

I had an amazing expierence with andersons bride in Anchorage. They made me feel like a bride from the second I walked in the door :)

Great service and they were always very helpful. The only downside was how long it took for the dress to arrive. I ordered it in November and it didn't come until mid May (1 month before my wedding). But they were also able to do 4 fittings with alterations on each within that month.

I was very happy with how helpful the girls were in helping with my dress. The quality is amazing and my dress was absolutely beautiful! I also got the bridesmaids dressed from them and they were awesome as well!

Two weeks before my wedding, I decided to change dresses. I know crazy bride moment. However, I just knew the dress I had choosen wasn't me. While searching online, I found it. I knew I'd love it. It was that moment that every bride is supposed to have. I called all over the lower 48 (almost 15 shops) and no one could find the dress close enough to my size. When Anderson's opened, not only did they have the dress, they had it in my size. I bought it without trying it on because I live over 400 miles away from Anderson's and couldn't afford another trip to Anchorage. They shipped it with an express carrier and had it here in time for my fitting. I do wish they would have told me they were going to have it cleaned before they shipped it. I originally thought I'd have the dress a few days early than I actually got it.

Terrible customer service once they get your money. It took 10 months for my dress to arrive (just in time for the wedding thank god) because they gave the original dress away to another bride.

Anderson's has a great line of dresses, and great designers. I found a great dress, it was pricey, but the quality of the dress was worth it. Alterations take a bit of time, but they are all very experienced and will get you in your dress in time!
