anned our cousin’s wedding last year; my gay sister was his best person and they had a drag queen and king at the reception. So it seems like Andrea is okay with queer folks if it’s for entertainment purposes but doesn’t take them seriously enough to celebrate their marriage. It’s disappointing to see a Black woman refusing to support a fellow marginalized community member. And that we are still seeing homophobia in freaking 2022, especially in a liberal city like Columbus. It’s also ironic when your entire business stands for helping to spread love and joy for others but then do not accept a group of people because of the folks they choose to spend the rest of their lives with. I’m not here to judge or hate but to inform others of what Andrea stands for before you book her for your next event as it’s not listed on her website that she won’t plan gay weddings. Instead of simply saying she was not able to help my sister, she had to write a long email about how she wouldn’t be able to give her “typical 150%” if she had hired her. Andrea, maybe you should take that extra 50% and educate yourself on the amount of persecution queer folks have to endure on a daily basis just to live authentically in the world. And how it affects their mental, physical and emotional health as human beings. I’ll be praying for you in the meantime.

She made a point to check in with me throughout the day to ensure I had everything I needed and she and her team set up all our decorations exactly as I had dreamed - from getting ready at the house in the morning to the ceremony to reception - all without a glitch! My only regret is that I didn't hire her to plan the whole wedding, the planning process would have been so much less stressful. We were thrilled to have Andréa's Occasions for our wedding day!

On the big day, her team arrived on time, with smiles, and with a starbucks drink for me in hand (talk about going the extra mile!). They were hard at work the whole day setting everything up, while also being ready to answer any questions or take on any new tasks at the drop of a hat. They kept guests happy and informed and kept all vendors up to date on the nights festivities. All in all, if you want a stress-free, professional, and dedicated coordinator, you MUST hire Andrea and her team!

was soooo worth it! Andrea put all of our fears to rest and helped us to relax throughout the process. She's also super fun and laid back, even if she hadn't planned our wedding we'd want her as a guest! We will definitely recommend her to our friends getting married because she made our wedding possible, honestly!

Andrea has many wedding vendor contacts. She was able to help us line up all of our vendors to complete our perfect day. Andrea worked very hard on our wedding day timeline. We met several times and she made many drafts of the timeline until it was perfect. One of the most important things that we wanted for our wedding day was that all of our family members be able to enjoy the day with us and not have to be involved with any of the organizing details or dealing with issues. Because of Andrea’s detailed planning skills, the entire day went smoothly with no issues at all. It was a very beautiful and memorable day for us and our families. We really can’t thank Andrea and her assistants enough for all that they did to make our wedding day so special.

The reception turned out better than I could have imagined! Also, our ceremony was almost a weather disaster but Andrea was cool as a cucumber and managed to get our ceremony outside in the little window of sunshine we had. The best!
