I’m honestly not even sure where to begin because I have so many incredible things I want to say about Ann, Kurtis & the Ann Travis Events team. To put it simply, they are the absolute best!! If you are looking for a full-service wedding planner who will make your dreams come true, think of every detail, handle all the heavy lifting, keep you informed & execute your event as smoothly & professionally as possible... these are your people. Ann and Kurtis exceeded every expectation of what we hoped our wedding would be. From the first time we met, we were greeted with huge hugs & warm smiles and it already felt like we were working alongside friends - by the end of the planning process we truly were. It’s obvious, wedding planning is not just their job, it’s their passion & that shows so clearly in the way they work with & treat their clients. We unfortunately had a terrible experience with the planner we originally hired for our wedding and 16 weeks out had to let her go. Needless to say, we were scrambling to find someone who could not only pull off 3 days of events, but could do it under crazy time constraints. To say they executed it flawlessly is not an exaggeration. It’s been months & we still have friends & family talking about that weekend - down to the smallest details of our wedding - they made it that unique & memorable! They made it feel like “us”. Having worked with a very underwhelming planner & then transitioning to ATE, the difference was night and day. Aside from their creativity & design skills, which are bar none, there are some very basic, but critical things Ann and her team do so well! Planning a wedding can be stressful, but they make it as stress-free as possible. A huge part of this is because they are so organized & communicate so well. We were kept in the loop with regular calls, FaceTimes & texts. I never felt like I didn’t know what was going on or where we stood with timing, budget, etc. and this was so important. They also made us feel so comfortable; they genuinely listened to our wants and needs, so we knew we were on the same page throughout the planning process. If you don’t feel like you can trust your planner’s vision & overall management of your event, look for a new one. We never had any doubts with Ann & Kurtis, which was not only a relief, but allowed us to hand off substantial parts of the planning process because we trusted that they knew what we wanted & we were more than confident in their ability to make it all happen. They are absolute professionals on all levels. Having gone through this process now, my only regret is that we didn’t hire them sooner. Truly! I wish we had had 10 more months to plan with Ann & Kurtis - I can’t imagine what they would have created with the extra time! If you are looking for a planner (or maybe even more importantly, considering switching planners)...DO IT! Hire them today, you will not regret it & you could not be in better hands. Your wedding is too important & too much of an investment to not have someone like Ann by your side. She will hold your hand through the whole process, answer your late night panicked calls, turn your rainy wedding day into a fairy tale & create memories you will never forget. There are certain people that just have a positive energy about them; people who spread joy with their genuineness and kindness... that is Ann and Kurtis and I promise, they are the best people to walk beside you while planning your wedding.

Ann, Kurtis and the entire Ann Travis Events team went above and beyond to bring us our dream wedding and create a night that we and our family will never forget. Going into the wedding planning process, I had no idea what I wanted my wedding to look like, other than I wanted it to be elegant, beautiful and to involve lots of flowers. Ann was able to take a vision that I couldn't even put into words and create the entire wedding with me and my style in mind. Not only is Ann wildly talented when it comes to the overall vision of the wedding, but she is also one of the easiest people to work with throughout the entire process. Especially day-of, Ann makes sure that she and her team take the brunt of the stress (thank you!) and that the bride, groom and both families just get to sit back and enjoy the day. I don't know how to describe Ann's services other than they don't feel like "services". Ann puts her heart and soul into everything that she does and she is the best addition to any wedding planning process and any wedding day. Ann wasn't just a vendor, she was a partner, a friend and a part of the family throughout the entire process.

It’s taken me a bit to find the right words to thank and to recommend Ann Travis and her team. How do I find the words to describe someone who transformed my vision and love into the most wonderful night and was such a support system to me during 2020. Ann listened to me with more attentiveness that I have ever experienced professionally and executed on her promises. I highly recommend Ann Travis and her team for full wedding planning services. They are the most supportive, detail-oriented, wonderful team I could have imagined working with. From the very first call, I knew that we would be using Ann Travis’s services for our upcoming nuptials. We connected from the very first call, and I knew I could trust her ideas, her thought processes, and just her professionalism. To be honest her organization and planning, pretty type A, was music to my ears after the little wedding planning I had begun to do. We began working with Ann a little more than a year out from my original wedding date. We were getting into the swing of things- I came in with a date, a venue and bridesmaid dresses so I just felt like I needed Ann’s guidance for the smaller details that become difficult planning across state lines. Little did I know that Ann would help navigate the year of unknown that 2020 brought us. We started to work through the small details leading up to the bigger decisions that would happen closer to our original date in August 2020. Our calls became longer and longer in the end of 2019, and I was excited for the upcoming event. Flash forward to covid hitting in March of 2020. We continued to power on through planning because it was 2 weeks to flatten the curve, right? On May 5 2020, Zach and I made the hard decision to postpone our wedding. We had no choice but to for the protection of ourselves, our vendors, and our guests. Ann was there for me as I teared up making the tough decision and encouraged me to have a margarita or two that evening. She reassured me that we would get to planning the next beautiful day soon. We settled on a second date in January of 2021 and that day came and went in a blink of an eye. So now not only has Ann guided me through 2 wedding postponements, but she has also changed my vision and decor and event to fit two dates that were not off the table. We moved forward with April 2021 that included a change of venue, city, and just about everything in between. I couldn’t have felt more supported and guided than by Ann Travis throughout this time period. She executed the third design to the most magical, dream-like tented space. Everything from the top of the tent and the least in the tent’s curtain down to the flatware and table menu was well-thought out and created a wonderful night that will be remembered by us, our family, and our friends for years to come. Ann Travis is truly the best in her field and I cannot more highly recommend her. Through all the obstacles that come with planning and replanning and replanning, she and her team made sure that I felt like her only client. She took an idea I had in my head and on Pinterest and executed everything in the most wonderful way. She makes bold decisions in decor that all come together to form one cohesive image and feel for the evening. Her team was wonderful from the planning to the day of and ensured that everything went smoothly. If I had to choose, I’d choose Ann Travis Events again and again and again.

I’ll start by saying if I could give them 100 stars I would!! Ann came on board to help us with our wedding in early 2019. Our wedding was supposed to be August 2020 but with Covid we had to postpone until May 2000 2021, so she worked with us for over two years. I cannot even begin to describe how incredibly amazing her and her team are. I genuinely don’t know what we would’ve done without them helping us navigate not only a wedding but a wedding during a pandemic. She was there to help us with every single little detail and the wedding far exceeded my already high expectations. She is absolutely incredible and I highly recommend anyone planning a wedding two hire them immediately . Not only is she incredible at what she does but she is absolutely fantastic and wonderful to work with. Ann and Kurtis became fast friends and made every part of the process so easy, effortless, and fun. I absolutely love their team and I could not have asked for a better experience! :)

It’s hard for me to put into words just how much Ann and Kurtis have done for my husband and I throughout our wedding journey. To be honest, I have been putting off this review because A.) this means my two-and-a-half-year stint of working with Ann and Kurtis has officially come to an end and B.) I knew I would start crying the minute I sat down to write this. Alex and I got engaged in February of 2019 and because I am the most disorganized, chaotic, type B mess of a human, I instantly knew I needed a wedding planner. Cue our first phone call with Ann. We instantly hit it off and knew we were in good hands. Ann is professional yet extremely approachable and charismatic. We couldn’t hire her fast enough! Ann certainly didn’t know what she was getting herself into when she signed on with us but after a global pandemic, 3 different wedding dates, a venue change and a million different hurdles, I can say with confidence that we couldn’t have done it without her and Kurtis. I never had a vision for my wedding in terms of design or aesthetics- my only wish was to have everyone I love in the same room. What I thought would be a low maintenance request turned out to be the biggest hurdle of all amidst a global pandemic. Ann and Kurtis, however, did not waver in their commitment to fulfilling my wedding wish. They supported us and grieved with us every time we had to push our wedding date. I know this was stressful for them, but they never let us know it. While every postponement felt like the flip of a switch for us, it meant hundreds of phone calls to confirm vendors and re-negotiate contracts for Ann and Kurtis. Not only did we have multiple date changes, but due to covid restrictions we also had to change our venue a month prior to our wedding. Not only did Ann find our new venue but she also had to come up with a new design concept from scratch. This was also the point where I disclosed that I didn’t like any of the original design elements I picked out on my own and told Ann to surprise me with everything. It’s hard to believe that Ann and Kurtis plan multiple weddings at the same time because they were not phased by any of this. Leading up to the wedding, Ann made me feel at ease because I knew every detail was taken care of. I got a text from her the week before the big day that said, “If you’re worried about anything at all, please don’t be- we have everything under control”. And they did. When our party bus pulled up to the reception venue and I saw Kurtis with his clipboard, I took a sigh of relief. And when the reception space was revealed to us, I literally dropped to my knees in disbelief of how truly beautiful it was. Telling Ann to “surprise us” was the best decision I could have made. She is a creative visionary, a perfectionist, and an industry expert in every sense of the word. What’s amazing is that Ann cares about the guest experience as much as she cares about the design. If Ann is planning your wedding, I can assure you there will never be a line at the bar, the dance floor will be packed and guests will tell you it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. That is the magic of Ann Travis Events. I know that hiring any wedding planner is a privilege and a luxury, but hiring Ann as your wedding planner is more than that- it’s a blessing. Hiring them was easily the best decision we made during our wedding planning process and I promise it will be yours too.

Where do I begin to describe the immense talent, the extreme professionalism, the artistic vision, and the warm loving heart of Ann Travis? I truly don't have enough superlatives to express my gratitude, as mother of the bride, client of Ann's, and now lifelong FRIEND. Hiring Ann early on was the absolute BEST decision we made! Ann's team, including our favorite Kurtis, is beyond professional, capable, warm and instill a sense of calm because you know they can handle absolutely anything thrown their way. It is in those stressful moments that they truly SHINE! And because Ann is so warm and wonderful, she attracts vendors with that same personality, making your wedding day the most memorable moment of your life! And although it may not make sense, hiring Ann actually SAVED us money! Big time. And certainly took the pressure off of us by thinking of every single detail before, during and after the wedding. My daughter, Emily, and her fiance, Mike, chose to get married deep in the northern Michigan woods. And while I thought it would be an impossible challenge, Ann never batted an eyelash! She was all in and communicated complete confidence that the couple's desire for "rustic elegance," which seems diametrically opposed, would be no problem to execute. And execute she DID! She created a magical wedding and spared no detail...from a gorgeous ceremony site with the river as a backdrop, to a bar tent that most guests said they'd move into, to a reception tent that exuded sophistication, comfort and MAGIC, keeping people on the dance floor for hours and hours. The entire areas indoors and outdoors were dramatically lit, adding to the romantic enchanted magical forest feel. The entire weekend was extraordinary...full of love and friendship and some serious dancing! I'm still walking on air even though I can barely move. Just thinking of the beautiful magic Ann and her team created can make me cry, but there are no tears left. Just a warm heart, sincere gratitude, and joy for making new lifelong friends with Ann and Kurtis!

Hi Ann & Team! I think we've finally recovered from the festivities last weekend, apologies this note is coming so late. We should have sent it first thing Sunday morning. We can't begin to thank you enough for the absolutely perfect wedding day you all created. Every detail was executed flawlessly. We are in complete awe of how beautiful everything was and the way you transformed the space. It was magic. Over the last few days we've received countless calls & texts from our guests telling us how wonderful the day was. Everyone loved the flowers and tablescapes. So many people have said, and I quote, "it was the best food I've ever had at a wedding". Throughout the entire night, people kept coming up and telling us how great the music was and they couldn't believe how perfectly Kyle nailed down our style. Everyone working the event was so nice and accommodating. We appreciated how often someone would check in on us to make sure we had what we needed. I know planning this wasn't easy and navigating the last minute curveballs created stress all around. We are so grateful to have had you in our corner to make this day everything that it was. Ann, Kurtis and her team are truly one of a kind. Our day was so special and honestly a dream come true. From the beginning, Ann was there navigating through covid and trying to keep me as calm as possible. We found the perfect venue and Ann executed every vision we had seamlessly. We had a few bumps in the road, but Ann and Kurtis went above and beyond to iron them out. Ann, you were a dream come true and I can not imagine what our wedding day would have been like with out you! Love you guys so much.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Ann and her team for our June 2021 wedding. To say that our day was perfect would be an understatement. We still keep saying to each other that we can't believe that was OUR wedding and that we would not change a thing. Like so many last year, we had to postpone our wedding plans due to Covid. Throughout it all, Ann was calm, professional, and positive. Without her, we would have thrown in the towel long ago and missed out on our dream day. We are so so grateful that we had her there to guide us through the chaos. Truth be told, I think that the chaos is where Ann truly thrives! Planning a wedding is no easy task, and there are endless decisions, details, and logistics to keep track of. All of that is absolutely no sweat for Ann and her team. You can completely trust them with every little detail, because they would not be able to sleep at night if your event was anything less than perfect. Her designs are also phenomenal - she is truly a visionary that does not see boundaries, but opportunities. Somehow all of her designs are completely unique and represent so many different styles yet are still tasteful and timeless. Most importantly, we were able to fully enjoy every minute of our day with our friends and family because Ann and her team took care of everything leading up to the event, the day of, and afterwards. We feel so lucky that we got to work with Ann, we loved our wedding, and we would recommend her in a heartbeat!

Myself and my husband are extremely grateful and overwhelmed with happiness in what Ann and her team were able to create and bring to life after I threw a 180 at them and changed our wedding plans from Detroit in August of 21’ to a Miami destination on April 8 2021— they were able to plan this IN ONLY 6 weeks!!! The attention to detail, communication and professionalism was on point. Our special day was perfect in every way. Ann was involved in all aspects of our day from start to finish. To begin, Ann asked about our lives, families, interests, tastes, homes, careers, hobbies, favorite foods, go-to cocktails, ideal date night, pet peeves & more. W/ all the information in her arsenal, she was able to add special aspects to our day that the average wedding planner wouldnt even consider. Before starting to locate vendors, Ann held a call w/ us/issued surveys. From that data she sifted through countless vendors to provide us w/ a vetted list of who she felt would check our boxes. To no surprise we had a hard time choosing from the list she gave because we loved everything/everyone that she showed us. Ann & her team did all of the leg work & we got to show up for the fun part. Before entering into contracts w/ vendors, Ann worked her magic & made sure we got the best price & all vendor discounts she could secure. Any time we had a question, she responded timely & went to work to get us the answer or solve the problem. She was the point of contact for our vendors so that our inboxes were never flooded with information we didn’t need to concern ourselves with. The work she did behind the scenes throughout the entire process still blows us away. Then, Covid hit. Like any couple, we had no idea what to expect, were scared to keep planning & to risk losing thousands. Candidly, we felt defeated. Ann was there every step of the way to support us, make the hard phone calls, send the difficult emails, ask the tough questions & give the honest opinions. When we decided to stick w/ it & hold our wedding as planned, I’ll never forget the sound in Ann’s voice – we knew more than ever she had our back & was going to navigate the unchartered waters of pandemic weddings & make it the best day possible w/in the confines of the new world. She was the hype woman in our corner telling us it was all going to be great. To no surprise, it was above & beyond. Naturally, there were some hiccups day of because we were holding an outdoor ceremony in Northern Michigan in 2020. What can go wrong will go wrong this year amiright? Ann did not let any of the hiccups stand in the way of making the day perfect. She took alternate routes, implemented plan Bs & plan Cs & freaking handled it. Bless her & her team. Throughout everything, she maintained open lines of communication while shielding us from any negatives. Ann captured every single aspect of our vision. Walking into our ceremony & reception space on the day of, we felt like it was taken right from our minds. She got it; she got all of it & more. All guests couldn't stop complimenting all aspects of our day & were blown away, as were we. The entire weekend was a dream. We are sad the day & planning is over. We miss weekly check-ins w/ Ann; agendas; the excitement & cheer Ann provided to our lives on the reg; drinks w/ Ann & Kurtis; big reveals; we miss it all. It was a long road to get to where we ended up, but looking back it was perfect in every way & we wouldnt have changed a thing & we owe it all & more to Ann & her team. Cheers to the absolute BEST wedding planning squad, most cherished [new] friends, laughs, tears, photos, memories and for bringing happiness & smiles to our faces (& our families’ and friends’ too) during a year where that is all so lacking. There are not enough adjectives to describe how unbelievably amazing Ann Travis Events is! From the day we had our first call with Ann, we fell in love with her! She is so organized, warm, fun and made us feel like we were best friends already. She really took the time to get to know us as a couple before jumping into planning to make sure everything was cohesive with our vision and us as a couple. I was always so excited for our monthly meetings where we got to catch up and for Ann to make sure we were on schedule. We were 15 days out from our dream wedding when COVID hit and we had to pull the plug. Ann and Kurtis called all our vendors and took so much stress off our plates during the most disappointing time in our lives, we can never thank them enough for that! They were so supportive of every decision we made and never pushed us. We chose a new date for 2021 and they handled getting all our vendors locked in again. As the year went on, we decided to change gears again and cancel our 270 person wedding, to a small 10 person intimate wedding in our backyard. From day one of our third plan, Ann was totally on board and made us feel so good about our decision. We adjusted our vision board to go from indoor hotel to outdoor tent and I am still in awe of what they were able to create for us. It was everything and more, beyond my wildest dreams - the most beautiful wedding I ever could've imagined. Even better than plan A! Their creativity and talent is like nothing I’ve ever seen - and not one single detail was forgotten. As someone who had big dreams of what we wanted for our wedding and absolutely no idea how to execute them, hiring Ann Travis was the single best decision we ever made. Even my parents became best friends with Ann and Kurtis and we are all talking about the next time we can hang out and work with them again! On top of all of this - every single vendor that they referred to us was unbelievable! Chef Savur, Ginnie (Ann's mom) for floral, Bella e Dolce for Cake, Abby Rose for photography - all AMAZING! Sitting down to write this review is truly so difficult. Why? Because it’s hard to put into words an entire experience, a bunch of little moments that accumulate into one amazing end result - a true dream come true. Ann, Kurtis and their team gave us the best planning experience, brought our dream to life, and were just generally amazing people to work with over our 2 year planning process. When we first got engaged in 2018 we reached out to a dozen planners during the last weeks of December/early January. I knew Ann was the one because she was one of few planners who responded, and who did so quickly and with all of the important info we needed. I could tell from our email exchanges that she was organized, efficient, and most important, loved helping her couples. She was the only planner we decided to meet with in person and from that first hug I knew she would make some magic. Because we had a long engagement, planning felt leisurely and entirely enjoyable. Ann has the most elegant, unique eye for design and she created vision boards for our day that got us so excited for the big day. Then, COVID happened. Like most couples, we went back and forth as to whether we should cancel, postpone, or find a way to move forward. While everything felt so chaotic around us, Ann was always calm. Whenever I started to feel anxious or unsure, I just thought of my conversations with Ann and felt instantly at ease. She was confident, capable and steady throughout the last 3 months leading up to our wedding day. When some family health issues presented themselves, we made the drastic change to a much smaller venue where we could cut back our guest list to a tiny ceremony and outdoor dinner with immediate family only- and postponed our reception with everyone to next year. What felt overwhelming and drastic to us didn’t even seem to phase Ann in the slightest. She took the news and ran with it, created us a new vision for our new venue and executed the most beautiful, surreal day in just 3 months. While the vision boards and conversations help to paint an exciting picture, nothing really prepares you for the magic that Ann and Kurtis create on your wedding day. Words and pictures just don’t do an Ann Travis wedding justice. You’ve got to experience it first hand! We are so lucky that we get to experience her magic again next year. But more than the incredible talent, and commitment to quality service, Ann & Kurtis are just genuinely great people. They make you feel instantly like you’re best friends- so warm and welcoming and supportive. The love (and tears) that they share with you on your wedding day will make you feel like they are just as much a part of your family as the people in attendance (because, well, they are family now!!). If you are considering a wedding planner, stop searching now, because Ann and her team are it. They will advocate for you with vendors, they will be on top of everything at all times, and most importantly, they will treat you like family and make your wedding day everything that you dreamed it would be. When my husband and I say that we love Ann and Kurtis, we mean it! And I promise - you will mean it too.

I wish there were more stars for this rating because Ann Travis is the most talented, punctual, detail oriented, visionary I have ever worked with. As a little background, we had hired a previous wedding planner that we had to let go after 6 months due to her lack of planning and execution. I was mentally over planning a wedding and upset by the whole process... and then we hired Ann & wow, we were embarrassed it took us so long! She jumped into a half planned wedding, with our budget dispersed in all the wrong places and very little actually accomplished at the time. She never panicked or made us feel bad, instead she lifted us up and guided us in a way we never knew was possible. She understood my vision like no one else (and I mean no one!) Then we got hit with COVID & had another obstacle to face head on. Ann remained calm, supportive, and professional through our many meetings filled with tears, fears, & uncertainty. We postponed our 300 person June wedding to a 100 person September wedding. Without Ann this 100% would never have been possible. Ann executed every detail small and large with complete confidence. Her attention to detail is like nothing I have ever seen. Her team was amazing to work with and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. In my dads father of the bride speech he said “You are all here witnessing a little girls dream come true” and I can confidently say, Ann and her team made my dreams come true that day & I could not be more thankful and happy!

Ann Travis and her team helped bring our big day to life! She met us halfway into wedding planning, when we had to all of the sudden change our plans due to covid. We were very overwhelmed, however once Ann took over it helped so much! She was so dedicated to our ideas, and gave us great input on how to pull it all together. She took our original wedding plan and ran with it, creating something even better than what we thought our wedding day would be! Our big day was absolutely perfect and worry free, thanks to Ann and her team!

To Ann & her team at Ann Travis Events, When our entire wedding planning process began, we thought we were just hiring a wedding planner and her team to guide us through the process. Instead, we were blessed with Ann - a visionary of indescribable sorts, a beautiful person inside and out, and now a wonderful friend. We are beyond grateful for everything you did for us. It was truly a journey going from a guest list of over 500 guests, then down to 200 guests, and then down to 100 guests. We changed dates numerous times and ended up at a completely different venue. Every step along the way, Ann was there to help us with the process and exceed every need. Through a pandemic, sweat, and tears, it takes an extremely special person to do all of this with a smile on her face and the most contagious positive attitude. Ann is an absolute dream! After seeing her work, I knew we had to hire her. I am not sure how we would have had a wedding anywhere near the caliber we did without her. Ann and her team were with my husband and I from the start, from budgeting to vision boarding she was there to be our voice of reason and gave the best advice from a wedding industry standpoint. Planning a wedding is fun and exciting but can be very unclear if you don't know how the industry works. Ann assured we worked with the best vendors who were professional, helpful, and so sweet! Our guests were in awe of our wedding - the food, the band, the decor, the smooth timeline - and continue to tell us it was the most beautiful wedding that they have ever been to. Ann and her team listened to what my husband and I wanted and envisioned, and they delivered! We also got a chance to work with her mom, Ginny, who is the cutest by the way, as she has been in the floral business for many years. Our guests were asking to take our floral arrangements home at the end of the night, that is how amazing they were. Ann was also able to repurpose our ceremony decor, which saved us quite a bit - I would have never thought of that on my own. My family was also extremely happy that they could just enjoy the wedding. They didn't have to set up or take down anything. They could just enjoy the day with us, which was amazing. If anyone is even thinking about working with a planner then Ann Travis Events is your team! Overall, I highly recommend Ann Travis Events. Ann's creative mind and professional and supportive work ethic made planning our wedding seamless and extremely fun. She is more than just an event professional she is such a dear friend who is a blast to be around!

Ann Travis throws a stunning wedding! Ann took my love for all things vintage and created a masterpiece for my July 27 wedding. She listened to my preferences and created a vision board that represented me and my now husband perfectly! She is so fun to work with as well! Ann took the Ford Piquette Plant and created vintage elegance. Ann designed a custom cake that matched our wedding invitations. She also worked with us to create picture perfect table displays with crystal stemware, milk glass vases, blue accents throughout (my favorite color), white lace linens, and wood farm tables. On the day of my wedding, the reception was picture perfect. Seeing the complete set up was like walking into a dream. Ann and Kurtis took care of every detail- even measuring to make sure each napkin was the same length!! I was at ease the entire day knowing that Ann was on my team. My parents were also able to relax and enjoy the moments of the day knowing that Ann was taking care of everything for us. Ann Travis Events are your people for the wedding of your dreams!

I sit here exactly one week since our wedding, and I still can't get over the magic that Ann and team delivered for us! From day one I felt something special with Ann, and she (and her team) never disappointed. I put my absolute faith and trust in her, and she was able to execute flawlessly. My first clue that I was in on something special was honestly the fact that she was obsessed with ironed linens. It sounds strange, but the attention she gives to a seemingly small detail like that, makes all the difference in the world. Then when you finally meet Ann and her team, and start working with them, and getting to know them, it just gets so much better. Ann's vision, expertise, experience, and understanding brought our wedding to life in a way I didn't even realize was possible. She created something that I had always dreamed of, but never knew how to make a reality. I thought I could do it all myself, but I couldn't, and I wouldn't have been able to. You guys, she stayed up until 4AM the night before our wedding hand tying bows on our menu cards. Who actually does that?! Kurtis sat at our venue ALL day Friday while vendors came and went for delivery and set-up, so that we could enjoy our rehearsal and dinner. Janine was with us on our wedding day and helped re-do my bustle right before our reception entrance. Ann and Ginnie had a champagne toast waiting for me at our floral mock-up meeting to celebrate. They just take such great care of you and your wedding, and are such amazing people. A week later I'm still getting compliments from our guests that our wedding was the most beautiful event they've ever seen. Her connections with vendors brought us the most amazing teams to make our day perfect. I've heard we had the best DJ, the best cake, the best food, the best floral, the best everything! If you're even questioning working with a planner, do it! You deserve it, and you couldn't be in better hands with Ann and her team.

Loved our wedding day and every moment that went into it. I hired Ann early on and it was like hiring a friend. She was so approachable and friendly!! She had visions for the reception space that were in line with my dream day and was receptive to tweaks and changes that I asked for. She dealt with me wanting to do everything super ahead of time and gave tips and tricks on where to maximize our budget and detailing. The reception space couldn't have turned out more beautifully!!! We absolutely loved it! Her entire team, from her mom Ginny's gorgeous flowers for us, to Kurtis tweaking our menu and hand installing our hanging lanterns, to Ann making appointments, coordinating vendors, and giving our design space something to remember, everyone was AMAZING. She also provided fantastic vendor referrals for my DJ, videographer, and photographer that absolutely made the day as well as many of the decorative rental companies. Where do I begin! Ann and I have known each other for a long time, since high school. Throughout the years I’ve have seen her impressive career in event planning. She always blew me away with every creation she has put together. When I got engaged last June I knew I wanted a wedding a planner! My first thought was Ann and I was not disappointed! I let Ann take full control of the creative ideas and trusted her vision! Throughout the last year Ann had always made me and my (now husband), feel like a priority. She was always available, and made us feel at ease! When she revealed her vision at the wedding I was nervous, but excited to see all the hard work she put in last year! I was definitely blown away! TLDR; Ann is a super woman. Her team is amazing. Detail-oriented, personable, and will fight for your vision. Definitely believe it was a privilege for us to have a planner for our wedding. But Ann was not just a planner - she was a necessity. Read on to see why. What can I say about Ann Travis Events that likely hasn't been said by the rest of her clients? From the get-go, Ann didn't hesitate to put us at ease when we said that we wanted to have a wedding in Detroit, while planning from our home-base of Philly. While other wedding planners scoffed at our initial budget and smaller guest list, we connected with Ann right away on both a professional and personal level right during our initial call. She's detail-oriented, the right amount of no-nonsense chutzpah when dealing with vendors, and a completely calming presence. We wanted our wedding to be an experience - an intimate dinner party for our friends and family, focused on food, cocktails, and design. For the few trips we made it out to Detroit, Ann personally curated a list of vendors so that we were able to efficiently finalize a list, but still enjoy the experience! In addition to the myriad of vendors that supplied chairs, farm tables, and linens, she helped us secure and coordinate the venue (Whiskey Factory!), a caterer (Cutting Edge Cuisine), photographer (Bean and Cole!), videographer (Shane Tincu Films), amazing DJ (Kyle Z from Mike Staff Productions!), flowers (her mom!), hotel (Foundation Hotel!) and dessert (Sweet Heather Anne!). Beyond her attention to detail and ability to multi-task? The way she was able to take my wife's hopes for her dream wedding and translate that into an inspired vision - simply jaw-dropping. The hanging install, filled with Edison bulbs and flowers, stunned our guests. There was a wall with bottles filled with notes to let our guests know their table and seat numbers. Ann's a super woman, but she's definitely not a team of one. Kurtis is the perfect complement and their ability to work together clearly translates into a better wedding experience for their clients. In fact, her entire staff helped to make sure that the day-of was seamless. In fact, there were only two hiccups as far as I'm aware of for our wedding - and all out of her control! #1: During the rehearsal at the church, we found out that the church thought we were flying a priest out from Philly (I know, you'd think they'd confirm something like that, right)? It was all taken care of by Ann and the church coordinator, but knowing that I'm a worst-case-scenario-worry-wart, Ann texted me around 11PM the night before to ensure that it was all taken care of. It's those little things that really helped comfort me during the process. #2: A few of our guests decided to be no-shows. Without a missed step, Ann apparently made sure that there were no empty seats or plates so it all looked as it was supposed to be. In fact, we didn't even know we had no-shows until a few days later! You're doing yourself a disservice if you don't sign her up as your wedding planner right away. Well worth it!

I can start off by saying Ann is AMAZING, along with her whole team! Ann is not only the sweetest person ever but she is organized and has an eye for the exact look you’re going for. Ann met with my mother and myself to go over big and small details for my wedding day early on. After one quick meeting she knew exactly how to help us and be there to support us every step of the way. I remember my mom turning to me after we left the meeting saying, “Wow, you were right...she knows her stuff!” We had phone conferences about every 2-weeks after that to go over details and check how things were going. It was extremely helpful and took a lot of stress off us. Early on, her and Kurtis (who also is AMAZING, if you work with them you will love him just as much as you love Ann) they traveled to Grand Rapids to see my ceremony and reception venue. We spent long hours out there making decisions and finalizing decor details. After leaving, my family & fiancé all felt like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders and we could come home and move on to the next thing. Ann called vendors for us to make sure we had everything we wanted and also checked in with them the week of the wedding to make sure every single vendor was ready and on time for the set up & day of. This was a huge help and made me confident that every person was going to show up and do what we expected. Ann and Kurtis spent the weekend out in Grand Rapids with us for our wedding. They took care of running our rehearsal and checked in on set up over at our reception and ceremony venue. Everything was PERFECT!!!! It was a dream wedding and nothing went wrong in my eyes. I was able to relax, and most importantly my mom was able to relax because we knew Ann and Kurtis had everything under control. If we needed anything that day or were worried about any small or big details, Ann took care of it instantly. Ann is organized, calm, and beautiful on the inside and outside. Everyone who worked with her and Kurtis loved them! My family also quickly fell in love with them throughout this process too. My fiancé especially did because he quickly formed a bromance with Kurtis. Haha! This just shows how easy they are to work with, they become family and most importantly...they GET STUFF DONE! I highly recommend using them for your wedding! Any person I meet or know I am recommending Ann! I will forever remember everything she did for our perfect day and how talented she is. If you want the best of the best....it is right here with Ann and her team. You will make your planning process easier and make your wedding outstanding by working with them! I wish I could do it all over again. :)

Ann is superhuman. She and her team took care of every little worry I had throughout planning and during the wedding day and did so with so much class and patience. I am a very type-A person and Ann put me at ease about everything. Our wedding was an incredible day and every aspect was taken care of, I didn’t have to worry about a single thing except to enjoy my day. Ann’s design expertise was the talk of the night—everyone raved over the decor and personal touches. There’s not one detail that went unaccounted for. I can’t thank Ann, Kurtis, and Jeanneanne for making this the best day of my life—I could NOT have done it without them.

How do I even start a review for the woman who is the reason behind our perfect wedding day? Ann and her team truly knocked our wedding out of the park and I can’t think of one thing that went wrong or that I would want to change. I would highly recommend Ann to any future bride. One of the best decisions we made in the planning process was hiring Ann. Ann was a true professional from beginning to end and I know our day wouldn’t have been anywhere near as perfect without her. When we first started working with her, she immediately understood our vision and she was able to execute it to a tee- better than we ever could have imagined. I used to be an event planner and I can’t express how big of a relief it was to be able to fully trust someone with our wedding. I have been planning my wedding since I could walk, and I truly did not think that I needed much more than a day-of coordinator. From the moment I talked with Ann, I knew I was signing up for way more than that. She is an incredible INVESTMENT and I would never have been able to plan the wedding of my dreams without her. As we approached the big day, the weather forecast was looking worse and worse and I was not thrilled with the venue's backup plan...the day before our wedding Ann secured a backup chuppah (the one we rented was going to be way too big for the inside option), and was answering my panicked texts at 6 a.m. About an hour before our ceremony, Ann was tracking the rain storm minute by minute, and when it looked like it was going to hit right during our ceremony, she managed to get the entire bridal party in line and we got the ceremony done and everyone back inside before a single droplet fell (it then proceeded to sideways rain for the rest of the night but who cares at that point?!) Ann and Kurtis were a dream (double date??) The only time I cried the entire day was when we saw our reception reveal - she took every little detail we discussed for over a year and brought it to life. And not to mention her entire team was ON IT! Every time my drink got low, I'd turn around and they'd have another one in my hand before I could even ask. They packed everything up at the end of the night and we didn't have to worry about a single thing. You're going to read a lot of reviews about different vendors, but I'm telling you that hiring Ann immediately should be the absolute FIRST thing you do. Miss talking to her already! <3

I could sing Ann’s praises all day long. From the moment I contacted Ann, I was impressed. I sent an email inquiring about her availability, and she responded within hours wanting to set up a phone call. Ann was immediately all in from that moment on. She took into account my budget and where I was at in the planning process and recommended what package she thought would be best for me (although, I KNOW she put in WAY more effort than what she signed up for!). Being completely unaware of how much work it would be, we had decided to hold our wedding at a family member’s home in about six months’ time, and Ann never missed a beat! Ann orchestrated just about every step of our planning process. She tracked down recommended vendors, checked availability, and corresponded with them making sure the final contracts were fair and complete! Ann was always prompt with emails, phone calls, and text messages, and she was ready to solve any issues that arose during the process. She was always two steps ahead of me and always knew exactly how to translate our style into our wedding. During our wedding week, Ann and Kurtis, themselves, spent three long days working at our venue setting up and making sure everything was perfectly in place, all the while keeping me updated and calm about the whole thing. On the day of the wedding, I was able to be completely relaxed and present while getting ready and preparing to walk down the aisle. We had more fun than ever expected throughout the night because we knew that Ann and Kurtis were taking care of our every need! Family and friends raved about how kind and helpful they were with everything, even going as far as catching a family member when they tripped… literal life savers! Ann nailed every aspect of the design for our day, and it took my breath away when I saw everything for the first time. From the big things, like the draping of our space, to the smaller details, like the seating chart, everything was absolutely stunning. Ann handled each aspect and detail with professional grace and the warmest personal touch. From start to finish of our whole planning process, Ann (and Kurtis, too!) worked organically with not only us, but our parents, bridal party, vendors and everyone in between! Their personalities make you feel as if you are family and have known them for years, which allowed us to trust their judgment completely. I am confident in saying, we could not have done our wedding without Ann. She will forever hold a special place in my heart for making it all come to fruition, and we miss her already. Do yourself the biggest favor and hire this special and gifted woman!

We only had four short months to plan our wedding and Ann hopped on board full of energy and excitement. We had some pretty unique decor and custom reception installation ideas that were executed flawlessly. A few things were not possible due to the venue’s guidelines, but Ann and her team troubleshooted with us and came up with some successful alternative options. On the day of our wedding, her team worked tirelessly to make sure the bridal party and family were well taken care of while also setting up the venue and handling all communication with our vendors. I was so relaxed and able to enjoy getting ready without any stress at all! They were master multi taskers and had smiles for all who encountered them. If you are looking for a planner who works hard to understand your vision, is your biggest cheerleader and support system and executes your vision perfectly, stop looking...Ann is your girl!

Ann planned my wedding at the Ford Piquette Plant in November and I seriously cannot thank her enough! I began my wedding planning process with a different planner which went terribly wrong. Ann saved the day midway through my engagement and I've never been so thankful! Being the planner type myself, I didn't think I would need a wedding planner. Our daughter contacted Ann after her previous planner didn't work out. Ann graciously accepted the job and ultimately created the wedding of her dreams! Her eye for detail, color, and design is amazing, and made our daughter's wedding day a magical one. Thank you, Ann Travis, for taking the stress of planning a wedding off of our shoulders! I DID NOT think I needed a planner or day of coordinator until I saw everything that Ann can do and how amazingly/professionally she does it. She was incredibly responsive, creative, and helpful. She elevated everything and ironed out every small wrinkle before they even showed themselves. On the day of, she even handled an awkward family situation so I did not have to, all without missing a beat! She knew my exact vision and carried it out to perfection through all the paper goods, signage, and digital art. If you think you've got your whole wedding all under control.. that's great I thought I did too... you still need Ann, at least for day of coordination... TRUST ME.. you will not be sorry!

Ann and her team were incredible. Ann was truly indispensable to me during my wedding planning. Not only did she create my dream wedding (truly perfection), she also was there for me in so many other ways. When I had freak outs over anything (wedding related or not), she was always available to calm me down and be two steps ahead of me to solve the problems. My daughter Emilee got married this past weekend and I kept prepping her to remember that things would not be perfect and there may be some snags but to remember what was important. While I still think that is good advice it did not happen, we were lucky enough to have Ann Travis as our wedding planner! To say she was amazing is not enough. She handled every detail; she calmed my daughter down when I didn’t know how! My daughter was living in Chicago, working full time, taking classes for a Masters degree and planning a wedding near her home in Northern Michigan. To say the least she had her hands full but Ann managed to take the pressure off and handle so many details. She gave my daughter the wedding of her dreams. I have never seen her so happy. She got Emilee’s vision and Ann’s vision was amazing, even when Emilee was too overwhelmed or busy, Ann knew what she would like! Ann and her team pulled together every detail in a seamless manner. In addition Ann’s mother, Ginnie Travis did the flowers for Emilee’s wedding and again words don’t do what she did justice. They were spectacular! After the wedding was over my daughters and I took some flowers to a local senior care center and they could not get over how beautiful the flowers were!

I can't say enough good things about Ann and her entire team. Bash Event Planning & Design did an absolutely incredible job and was able to take away so many of the stressful aspects of a wedding. I've never seen my sister (the bride) more at ease in the days leading up to the wedding - and that's all thanks to Ann's preparedness and ability to handle the inevitable last minute madness! I've been to a number of weddings from intimate gatherings to 300 person affairs to destination weddings - and with that said, I was shocked by the results and the vision Ann created. For someone who is hard to impress, I can honestly say that I was overwhelmingly impressed - it was better than I could've imagined!

Being a bride can be very overwhelming, but Ann truly takes the stress out of planning. My wedding day was everything I ever dreamed of. From the decor, flowers, music, food, etc. she is hands on and made everything perfect. Our wedding was absolutely perfect and I lived the fairytale day I had hoped for!
