From start to finish the Waterfront was amazing, they are there for any questions up until day of the wedding. Getting a day of coordinator through the venue was so unbelievably helpful. Sarah is the catering manager, she is receptive and gives advice on past weddings to help you make the right decision for what you are looking for. I would recommend this venue to brides. A lot less stress having everything in one place. From tables, to linens, to food, everything was fantastic.
What an absolutely perfect location for our wedding! Being able to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, AND after party all within the same gorgeous building made wrangling everyone together come wedding time so much easier. Sarah and her team were wonderful, can't recommend them enough!
We used the Annapolis Waterfront for our wedding reception in July. Where do I even begin? Minna and the Waterfront Wedding crew made the wedding planning process so easy. She was always available for questions and made us feel like a special couple throughout the entire process. The Waterfront made it easy to drop off decorations and go through our vision of the reception set-up. The venue was beautiful. Minna did a great job at ensuring we were able to utilize the patio which made for some excellent photos. Not to mention, the food was some of the best wedding reception food I have ever had. The steak was cooked perfectly, and our guests are still raving about the mushroom risotto. We really cannot thank Minna and her team enough for such a wonderful wedding reception. If you are looking for a reception with beautiful views, fantastic food, and approachable staff, come to the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel for your wedding!
Sarah Lubawski and the entire AWH team were amazing to work with. When I researched vendors, she was the first one to return my message. Planning my wedding out of state, I needed a responsive team, and Sarah L from the hotel was amazing. She answered all my emails promptly, always sent updated invoices and event orders, adjusted day of timelines based on my suggestions, and happily worked with all my vendors day of my wedding seamlessly. The day of my wedding she was like a ghost behind the scenes making everything run perfectly and would check on me throughout to ask if I needed anything. The food ended up being perfect and they accommodated dietary restrictions well for my bridal party getting ready in the morning and cocktail hour / reception. For being directly on the water, their pricing was comparable and even a bit better than other hotels for large parties in downtown Annapolis. 100% recommend. The day was perfect!!
Annapolis Waterfront Hotel was the PERFECT wedding venue for us. Minna Pauly (wedding planner/coordinator) was amazing to work with and responsive and helpful throughout the wedding process. Throughout our last week of planning before the wedding, Minna took all of our decor and took lead setting it up on the day of the wedding so I was able to just enjoy the day. She was amazing to work with and we had the best wedding weekend, much of it thanks to her!
The food and drinks for our wedding were incredible and having the wedding at a hotel was convenient and easy for guests. The hotel staff were very accommodating with the wedding blocks and helping me make sure guests were comfortable and happy on the wedding weekend.
I loved AWH for our wedding and would highly recommend it to anyone getting married!
The hotel wedding coordinator Sarah L was absolutely amazing to work with throughout the entire process. She was able to accommodate all of our requests and worked well with each of our vendors to make sure our day went smoothly! We cannot thank her and the entire Annapolis Waterfront Hotel staff enough for making our day perfect. The venue itself was absolutely stunning and we absolutely recommend this venue to any couple looking for a great spot in downtown Annapolis.
We stayed at the hotel for our wedding and the view and the rooms were beautiful. Watching the sunset and seeing the boats go by was so cool, the staff was very accommodating, and the bar downstairs was fun! I recommend staying here if you are in the Annapolis area - but watch for higher prices during Navy events.
We had our wedding reception at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel. It was an amazing experience. We worked with Sarah, who was very easy to work with. She made sure our vision came to life. All of our guests commented on how good the food was! We had access to their private dock for pictures. We were worried about the cold since we got married in November. The venue provided fire pits and heaters on the outdoor patio. Part of the outdoor patio was enclosed and heated for cocktail hour. We toured five different venues but fell in love with this location once we saw it. I highly recommend checking out the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel!
I cannot even begin to describe how amazing it was to have our wedding reception at the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel. By the end of the night, nobody wanted to leave and all of our guests were saying how it was the best wedding they've ever been to. Luckily enough, we were able to invite all of our guests to continue the celebration at Pusser's which is the bar connected downstairs - which was also a great experience.
The Chesapeake Ballroom, where our reception was held, is absolutely gorgeous. If you're not looking to spend a ton of money on extra decorations, you won't need to because the simplicity and class of this ballroom is enough in itself. Attached to the ballroom is a covered patio that leads to a spacious outdoor patio that overlooks Downtown Annapolis and the United States Naval Academy, which is absolutely gorgeous during the day, and especially at night when downtown is all lit up. You cannot beat the views that this venue provides and we were getting compliments on how amazing it was the entire night.
The food was absolutely phenomenal and the service was beyond compare. My husband and I were treated like celebrities and the staff was always making sure our needs were met and they exceeded our expectations.
Christina was an absolute pleasure to work with. From day one, she made it easy to plan what we wanted and made the whole process seamless. I will recommend this venue to ANYONE who is getting married in the future and is looking for a gorgeous night that they'll never forget. Thank you to the entire team at the AWH from the bottom of our hearts for giving us a night we will cherish forever!
The Waterfront ceremony, exposed brick & twinkle light cocktail space, and the large reception room were topped only by the responsive and organized staff! I wish we could relive it again and again!
There could not have been a better venue for our wedding. From the very beginning, the hotel and everyone that worked there (especially our personal contact and coordinator) was helpful and accommodating. The patio provided for a gorgeous cocktail hour and extra space to enjoy during the reception. And everyone had only the best to say about the food!
Brides Beware! Don't let the waterfront view of Annapolis cause you to jump into booking this venue for your wedding. For the price you can pay for this location you can get way better service. I will say that the planning leading up to the event was great, and the actual setup of the reception was beautiful. However, the rest of the evening had major hiccups:
1) Check-in is at 4:00. Out of the hundred guests that were staying at this hotel, only a few got their rooms by 4. Others got theirs at 5, 6, 7, some even 8- causing them to have to LEAVE the reception to bring their own bags up. Not to mention we had lots of babies/elderly people who wanted to rest in their rooms before the reception, and were unable to do this.
2) My wedding coordinator, Christina, was MIA the entire time. My bridal party waited a half hour in the front lobby until I finally led the group and the photographers out back myself so that we would be able to get pictures in before the sun set. I maybe saw her 3 times throughout the evening. Around 9:00 I had asked a worker where she was and was told she had "gone home". My reception ended at 10:00. I was utterly shocked.
3) Clean up: We were told several times that the staff would clean up the décor, centerpieces, etc. At the end of the night it was my husbands aunt and her friends who ended up going around and boxing everything.
4) We had TONS of leftover cake. We were told they could not refrigerate it over night. Hard to believe a hotel that size does not have a giant walk in fridge with a little shelf space for a cake.
5) Gift Bags- We had made 80 hotel bags for our guests staying in the hotel. The next day we realized that ZERO were handed out.
6) Meals-My 4 year old niece (supposed to get chicken tenders) got a steak. Guests got served the wrong meals and when they inquired they got rude responses. What is the point of the seating chart, color coding, and excel sheet of who ordered what if it is not put to use?
There were many other hiccups to the entire reception. Overall, for the price paid for this venue the service was embarrassing. You would have thought there had never been an event at this hotel. There was a huge disconnect between the front desk, the caterer, the event staff, and the valet. Nothing was communicated between the staff and several things fell through the cracks. If you're looking to hold your wedding reception in Annapolis- look elsewhere. Feel free to message me if you want more details about the hotel and the venue.
Waterfront Hotel provided the perfect setting for my June Annapolitan wedding reception. Christina was my venue planner and provided stellar service! She ensured my day was well organized and my guests were happy. She was available for every detail during the planning process. My guests raved about the delicious food and the beautiful scenery. It was the perfect setting for my wedding! I would highly recommend this venue.
Awesome venue, great day of coordinator, amazing location
We have the perfect wedding and feel the venue was key in that happening. First of all---location, location, location. You really can't ask for a more convenient location with a scenic view. The venue is right on the water with plenty of great spots for photos. But the hotel itself provides a great option for guests to stay overnight and is also near bars, restaurants etc. for a nice weekend away. Also, it was easy for guests staying at some of the cheaper hotels nearby. The food (you must use Pussers catering) was outstanding. We feel you get a lot for the money. We felt the buffet was tasty and great for a variety of food allergies etc. The staff was kind and flexible. We worked with Sarah and found her to be knowledgable without being pushy. She really listened and was a joy to work with. We felt comfortable and that the venue was perfect for something laid back in terms of having an outdoor lounge area but also formal with the ballroom. We loved the covered patio area for cocktail hour. Everything was well managed and comfortable. And you have an easy after party option with Pussers Bar right downstairs.
Most of my review is geared towards the staff at AWH. We had Melanie as our coordinator and we honestly could not have done it without her. We hit some minor hiccups on the day of the wedding and she fixed them immediately. There is some issues with their contracts and paperwork (i.e. fine print) so really pay attention! FYI - no shots or tequila allowed which was a real bummer for us. There is no outside food allowed and they cater from Pussers Grille (located on the first floor of the venue). The food was good but nothing to write home about. My main complaint about the venue is the interior decor - it is very "loud" so a lot of my time was spent trying to mask the bright carpeting and bright blue railing outside on the patio. However, the space is perfectly sized for large weddings. The dance floor they provide was more than enough for our 200 guests and there was enough space for the DJ as well. We had about 23 tables and I would not recommend more than that!
Everything about this venue was perfect!! The day went seamlessly and Hilary was incredible! My husband and I also stayed in the hotel for the two nights and the suite was INCREDIBLE! We cannot thank this venue enough!!
This place looked beautiful so I tried to book an appointment to visit it as a potential venue. Even in that first phone call, they were telling me that my wedding (scheduled for almost a year and a half away so timing isn't an issue) wouldn't be a priority for them due to our smaller wedding size. I was literally told that I could either agree to an indoor wedding I didn't want or expect them to bump me from the space I was interested in if a better offer came up. Additional phone calls with other staff basically gave me the same info. I couldn't believe how rude they were. Unless you want a huge wedding, don't even bother with this place.
The Marriott was significantly less expensive than the Loews or Westin in Annapolis despite having a significantly better location. The ballroom/hotel feels a little dated but you really can't beat the cocktail hour view of the Severn River and downtown Annapolis. The meal was fantastic and the staff relatively easy to work with (often proactive follow-up is required to get responses). The staff perfectly decorated the venue for me after I sent a couple photos and dropped off the decorations. The party was fantastic :) The staff did a great job managing the event day of. Overall, this was an incredible venue for an incredible day.
We had our ceremony and reception at the Marriott, and both were lovely! The setting was very scenic, and all our guests had a great time. Courtney was very easy to work with and responsive to all our questions and concerns as we put the wedding together. Definitely recommended!
All my guests that stayed at the Annapolis Marriot loved it! It is set on the water and is beautiful! It is one of the more expensive places to stay in town but worth it with the beautiful views and central location!
The Annapolis Marriott was the perfect location for our wedding. Everyone was very professional and courteous. We had a blast working with Courtney and Hillary. They made us feel very special.
Having the reception at the Marriott was beautiful. The people we felt with were very friendly and very attentive to phone calls and emails. I loved the location on the water. Parking wasn't too bad for my guests either. Very happy with everything the day of the wedding.
the rooftop is nice but not as private as i would have liked.
Everything at the Marriott was perfect!!!
Great location in downtown Annapolis but the rates are inflated by $200 per night for the quality of accommodations. You pay $400/night but there is nothing special to the room - even when you are the bride & groom, there is not so much as a mint on the pillow.
We had our wedding here at the end of August. Both the ceremony and reception were here. The weather was absolutely beautiful outside and the view was awesome. All of our guests are still raving about how amazing the wedding was. It was nice for whoever wasn't dancing to be able to go outside and look over the water. The best part of the ceremony was when we kissed and a big yacht driving by in the water starting beeping it's horn - just part of the Annapolis life :) The food was awesome and the wedding coordinator helped with everything.
My wedding reception was wonderful. The vendor was amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
They were very helpful. Especially since the Baker from Cakes and Confections forgot to make the wedding cake. They went out of their way to help the situation. The food was good and the reception areas gave everyone a variety of places to have a good time. They either went outside, stayed inside to dance or just hung out at the talbes or bars.
It was great!
