About this vendor
Rose trellises, a gazebo, a 150-seat chapel, a Victorian home and event space, and a pergola and fountain patio...just a few of the picturesque spaces we have curated our 35 years as Texas' most passionate purveyors of antique, rare and fragrant roses, and all things garden. We also host a primitive stone kitchen, an antique shop, a gift shop, a garden club pub, and countless critters and pollinators in our beloved wedding venue. Peaceful and timeless floral and fauna, our gardens and offerings are rare and lovely. Annually we grow 100,000 antique roses in our adjacent growing fields, that we sell all over the U.S., and as expert growers, we aren't just a nursery. We love the art of easy care roses, gardening, and the lifestyle of being in nature.

Terrible experience. Would not recommend their wedding service. Raven Carrier is the most unreliable and unprofessional person I have ever met! Also, she refused to return us our wedding deposit. Just takes peoples money and runs with it! I asked if the reason was because she already spent it? She agreed 🤣 I told her I don’t think that’s how business works. She proceeded to tell me she doesn’t even know me or why she’s talking to me! She would only speak to my fiancé. Never in my life have I been treated so disrespectfully. I would never do business here. I would think twice before handing them your credit card. Sneaky contracts and shady people!
Beautiful location very close to the Bryan/College Station, Texas area. Definitely book in the spring (March or April) when the flowers are in full bloom and the weather is still relatively cool before the May rains when it becomes muggy. Gaylene Slaughter is the current wedding coordinator and she made sure the rental chairs were set out for us on the day of the wedding and kept checking to make sure we were OK throughout the day.
This venue was perfect for our wedding because we wanted a beautiful, romantic, and intimate indoor/outdoor venue somewhere between Austin and Houston, but we didn’t want to spend a bunch of time and money on decorations. When you enter the grounds, you really feel like you are transported to a secret garden out of a fairy tale, so we only spent $100 on minimalistic center pieces and a couple other small items and the venue was so beautiful that was really all the decorations we needed. I first visited the venue on a cold, rainy day in December, and it was equally as beautiful then as all the subsequent trips I made leading up to my October afternoon wedding. The tables and chairs we rented from the venue were all in good condition. Everything was provided as promised by the coordinator, who is very sweet and super responsive. The venue was clean and orderly when we showed up. The staff was very kind and responsive to all of our needs. If you have already looked at the pictures of this venue and it seems even remotely close to what you want for your wedding, I would highly recommend setting up an appointment to visit the venue and seeing it for yourself.
We loved our wedding at the ARE. This is a beautiful venue for the DIY bride. Sally helped ensure everything went smoothly. SHe had great suggestions for set-up and vendors. You will need to supply your own wedding coordinator and do all your own decorating, but you gain a lot of flexibility in how your plan your day.
I couldn't be more pleased with this venue. I booked it 10 months out for my Oct. 27th, 2012 wedding. Jean, the event coordinator at ARE, was very prompt and accommodating with her email responses. She sent over documents with all the details I needed immediately and was able to answer any question I asked. The grounds at the ARE are absolutely gorgeous and whimsical. My guests were ranting and raving about how awesome of a location it was. I feel like this venue was just made for me! Vintage, down to earth and in the hill country...just PERFECT! I could go on and on...but to sum it up, PHENOMENAL! I want to throw a party here in the future just so I can go back and experience all it has to offer! A++++++ in my book! NOTE: This venue is GREAT for a Do-It-Yourself wedding! :)
I give the Antique Rose Emporium two thumbs up! The staff was extremely kind and helpful! The prices were very affordable! The venue let me rent rose bushes which really helped in keeping my total cost in flowers down, but helped add a lot in the decorating area. The only complaint I would have is that the Emporium does not allow you to put any nails in the wall in order to decorate which made it difficult to decorate the way I really wanted to. Overall, I was extremely happy with my experience and wedding at the Rose Emporium. If you're looking for a romantic, rustic wedding then you should definitely check out the Antique Rose Emporium!
