My (now) husband and I toured Antler Pines at the beginning of 2025 and fell in love with the property. Amanda (venue coordinator/manager) and Marsha (owner) were so welcoming and communicative throughout the year leading into the day of our we...

I give Amanda and Marsha, and the beauty of the venue 5 stars. However, I rate the entire experience with Antler Pines a 4/5 stars due to Antler Pines being a new venue and some missed details that either weren’t addressed or thought-of until we asked.
There is not a designated area where the bride is hidden from guests/the groom just prior to walking down the aisle. While the beautiful bridal suite assists with hiding the bride throughout the day, I had to bring my own backdrop/curtains and decorations to be hidden from guests in between my bridal party walking out during the ceremony and when I walked out.
The venue does not provide anything other than the immediate grounds (patio, tables/chairs, bride/groom suites, and indoor area with pine and antler centerpieces). I feel that for the base price of $12k, you get a very limited experience. You do not have access to the entirety of the deer farm/property without paying additional fees. Not a big deal for me because again, the venue was spacious and beautiful in itself, but to others this may be more important.
Also, I give 4/5 stars because of certain benefits that we were promised during the tour of the grounds at the beginning of the year but were then denied the day of the wedding.
During our initial tour, we were reassured that the use of the venue’s roll-up doors would be at our discretion and there were no issues with opening them up to make for a seamless indoor/outdoor experience for our guests (one of the things we loved about this venue). During the reception around 7pm, we asked staff to open the roll-up doors that connect the dance floor/reception area, to the back patio. We were denied the option bc of the difference in indoor and outdoor temperature during the reception around 7pm. While I understand saving on the electric bill, I was more upset with paying so much money and the inability to use certain features of the property that we were initially told would not be a problem.
I think that as a new venue, Antler Pines should have more staff to assist with events containing 100+ guests. Amanda reassured me that she would be on top of standard maintenance (trash, bathroom upkeep, etc.) throughout the night. I was informed after the wedding that the soap dispenser stopped working in one of the bathrooms during the reception, in addition to the bathrooms running out of soap and paper products at some point. I discovered that the only reason the soap dispenser was fixed in a timely manner, was because employees of our caterer (Mission BBQ) were the ones who took the time to address and fix the dispenser, not the venue staff.
Again, I think of these as minor hiccups (growing pains if you will) that come with a new wedding venue and overall the night was incredible. Personally, I think there are more accommodations that the venue could offer for the price of $12,000.00, to include a better selection of wedding decor (pine needles limit decor to more of a winter wedding in my opinion versus spring/summer/fall weddings).
Additionally, the need for more staff pending an event’s guest count.
