Carrie and Visha (sp?) were wonderful! They were both very understanding and patient with me during the planning process. I loved both my hair and makeup on my wedding day and I could feel Visha's genuine happiness and excitement for me.

I truly felt like a fairy tale princess on my wedding day and it’s all thanks to Carrie Novak at Appease Inc. She did such a wonderful job, I got compliments on my hair and makeup all night. Her and her team made not only me, but my mother and my bridesmaids look absolutely stunning. We all looked and felt so beautiful. Even before the wedding, on my trial day, I loved that Carrie spoke with me about the level of glam I wanted, how I envisioned my hair and gave great suggestions for decorative pins to level up my look. I will most definitely be recommending this team to anyone looking for a wonderful hair and makeup experience! 10/10 :)

Carrie and her assistant were phenomenal! They were professional, warm, and flexible; they were able to style eight members of the wedding party in only a few hours! They made this nervous bride feel calm, comfortable, and beautiful. Thank you, Carrie!

I had a great experience working with Appease for my wedding in May! There were some issues with traffic on the morning of the wedding causing the stylists to arrive late. However, they were still able to get everyone's hair and makeup completed by the time we had planned for. Everyone's hair and makeup looked great and we were very happy with the way everything turned out!

Though I was out of state, Carrie and her team did a great job keeping me in the loop about planning. The stylists we worked with were attentive and professional, and we all loved our looks.

Unprofessional and communication was poor.

I unfortunately had a pretty bad experience with Appease. I originally booked them in March for my July wedding, then I was told I would be contacted to schedule a trial. I did not hear anything, so I reached out two more times over the course of over 2 weeks, and she finally said she would get back to me in 10 days because she was too busy. Then we finally scheduled the trial for May 11 at 11 AM. Then 3 days before the trial, they asked if we could move the trial back to 4 PM because they double booked themselves. Then, on the day of the trial at like 3 PM, they told me they were running late and would be there at 4:30. We waited in an empty studio until someone finally showed up at 4:40. Then, honestly, the hair and makeup was not very good. Very disappointing that I wasted almost 2 months.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Appease for my wedding, and overall, the experience was fantastic. Carrie is super talented and truly brought my vision to life with her exceptional skills in hair styling and makeup artistry. From the moment I saw the final result, I was absolutely thrilled with how beautiful and confident I felt. However, while the quality of service provided by Appease was outstanding, I do feel compelled to mention that there were some instances where communication fell short. There were times when it was challenging to reach Carrie or receive timely responses to my inquiries, which led to some minor frustrations and uncertainties leading up to the big day. Overall, I highly recommend Appease for anyone seeking professional hair and makeup services.

The team at Appease inc helped me get ready in 3 separate sessions for each event of my Polish-Indian fusion wedding. They had excellent expertise in traditional styles for a Hindu wedding and provided draping services which my american family really needed help with! Each hair/makeup look was unique and suited the event. Also, our wedding party was primarily family - when it came time to actually leave for the ceremony we did not have enough hands to help. Susan went above and beyond and carried my wedding dress train to the car so it would not get dirty or wrinkled - truly dedicated service!!

If I could give Carrie and her team 1000 stars, I would! I first met Carrie and her team when she did the hair and makeup for my best friends wedding. Everyone looked AMAZING, so it was a no brainer that I was going to go with Carrie and her team when it came time for my own wedding! I was an anxious bride and Carrie was so wonderful in helping keep me calm with our timeline! She and her team showed up early for hair and makeup to make sure that we stayed within the timeline, everyone was professional, and fun to spend the day with! I'm not kidding when I say that people came up to me and told me how gorgeous everyone's hair and makeup looked, including mine! Everyone looked GORGEOUS! My hair and makeup was EXACTLY what I wanted, my mom, now mother in law, sisters, and the rest of my bridal party were all so happy with our hair and makeup! - very difficult to communicate with and seemed unorganized - sent different artists than were planned and used for the trial - not all artists were able to complete the simple & natural looks that were shown to them in pictures, requests for "natural" makeup was not at all respected - the only false lashes available were massive lashes so we went to Sephora to buy reasonably sized false lashes - not all artists were able to work with natural curls without just straightening them, this was very disappointing - not all artists were willing to make changes to fit the styles that women wanted, so many women resulted to redoing hair/makeup after the artists left Using this company resulted in unnecessary stress for me, my family members, and my bridesmaids on my wedding day and unfortunately, I would not recommend them.

I recently enjoyed my experience with Appease for my September 2023 wedding! Booking was very easy and smooth and Carrie was accommodating to my questions more than 1 year out from the wedding. The questionnaire was helpful to get the process started closer to the wedding and helped to determine the services needed. The trail went smoothly and allowed me an opportunity to get to know the lead stylists before the wedding day. I took notes afterward the trial and was able to adjust parts of my hair and make-up style for the actual day. I had a fairly large bridal party of 11 people including myself, bridesmaids, and mothers, most who had both hair and make-up appointments. For anyone with a larger party like me, I would highly recommend booking additional stylists to help make the day go smoothly. We had 4 stylists (2 hair, 2 make-up) and we finished in 3 hours for 11 people! On the morning of the wedding day, all stylists showed up on time and ready to go! They were very professional and helped create a calm atmosphere for me. We had created a schedule ahead of time, but the stylists were flexible to take some appointments early and adjust as we were going along. My bridal party were very complimentary of their final looks and how smooth the getting ready process was for the morning! This was really important to me as I wanted to have a calm start to my day and Appease did an amazing job! Thank you so much for making our day so great!

Appease did my bridesmaids' and mother's hair. They were accommodating to schedule adjustments and arrived on-time. Val was skilled, and the ladies were happy with their hair. Also, pricing was very fair. Would recommend!

Appease did a great job! We had 11 girls to get their hair and make up done the morning of the wedding and they stayed on schedule very well! Hair and make up were beautiful.

I found appease inc when I stood up in my friends wedding, and I knew I had to book them for mine! The girls were so nice and really listened to me and my bridesmaids for what they wanted! They took their time and made sure everyone was happy and ready to go !Carrie, Nadia and Susan were the best team! I received so many compliments. Thank you for making us look and feel beautiful all day!

Do yourself a favor and find a company that doesn’t require you to pay ahead of time. I had 7 bridesmaids, myself and my mom all get their makeup done. They scheduled 1 person to get it all done in 5 hours and guess what, she didn’t finish and I was still charged. We were supposed to be done at 12:45 and out the door by 1:15. She didn’t start my makeup until noon and there were still 2 bridesmaids to go. The makeup artist blamed being behind on my eyes tearing and even lied saying my makeup took double the time it did. 1 bridesmaid only had time to have lashes put on and the other wasn’t done at all and they won’t refund them. I missed a lot of pictures I wanted at my house because I was still getting makeup done and we got to the church at 2 right when the ceremony was supposed to start. There was so many things that went wrong simply because the makeup artist was behind and it’s very disheartening the least the company could do is refund my 2 bridesmaids and myself for this. The owner was rude in her response to me and they don’t care about anything that went wrong in the hands of their own employees. Do yourself a favor and find a company that will follow through with your paid services and make it right if they’re not able to complete your services.

I am very disappointed with my experience using this company. I flew in from Texas to be the Maid of Honor in my best friends wedding in November. We had a complete itinerary for the day laid out (as one does on their wedding day) including when each bridesmaid would be getting their makeup done. The morning of the wedding unfortunately took a turn for the worst when the makeup artist ran out of time to complete her services. Coming close to the time indicated that we needed to head to the church, the makeup artist still had not gotten to me, another bridesmaid, the mother of the bride, and the bride herself. The MOTB and the bride’s makeup were pushed before myself and the other bridesmaid to ensure that they could be completed. Fast forward to only 30 mins remaining, the makeup artist was just getting started on the bride, so I approached her to ask if I need to start my own makeup because she was behind by 2 girls and the trolley would be here to get us soon. Upon asking that, I asked about receiving a refund if opted to do my own makeup, and she very rudely told me I was putting her behind more and that I needed to call the company to get the refund.. I then, in a panic, had to rush to do my own makeup to stand up as my best friends Maid of Honor in her wedding. The other bridesmaid was thankfully able to get her makeup done while the rest of us did our first look pictures with the bride, of which she was left out of most, and had to run into a few shots with half-done makeup :( We let a couple days pass by before reaching out to avoid stressing out the bride on her honeymoon. The bride emailed Appease explaining what had happened. The owner, Carrie, responded with no apology, and said that there were “circumstances” outside of the makeup artists control that detoured the timeline, and that there was a contract in place where it states that there are no refunds. She then offered a service credit of $100 with their company (which is less than what was paid for the service). I then reached out to advise her that I paid out of pocket to get my own hair and makeup done for this wedding, and that a service credit wouldn’t be useful or practical as I live in Texas- No response since, even after many follow up emails. Obviously it’s upsetting that this occurred, but it did occur to no fault of my own, and this company is not being responsive or accommodating. This really set the morning off to a stressful and disappointing start for all of us, and I would strongly advise Bride’s to find another service to use for your special day. Things happen! But customer service and catering to your clients is a huge part of providing a service- please do better Appease2you.

We hired Appease to do hair and makeup for me (the bride), 4 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and 2 grandmas. Carrie did our hair and Male did our makeup, and they were AMAZING! Carrie and Male did a trial for me, and were totally flexible with changing a few things the day of the wedding. The wedding group included ages 16-78, waist-length hair to pixies, natural makeup looks to full glam, and they made everyone look outstanding! Carrie was also kind enough to fix my brother with up some hair gel, and Male was able to add lashes last minute for a couple of gals who didn't request them at booking. They were so upbeat throughout the whole process, starting at 6:30 AM! Not only that, my hair and makeup DID NOT BUDGE throughout the entire 18 hour day. They also took some incredible photos and videos, which I've loved having while we wait for our professional photos to come back.

Working with this company was so great! They took the time to listen to what I wanted and made recommendations based on that information. The artist showed up on time and stayed on schedule.

I wish we had a better experience with Appease during our wedding weekend. They were impossible to get a hold of (via phone and email) leading up to the wedding. We had specifically given them our timeline as to when we would have our morning pictures and had asked for extra help. They declined to give us extra help (we even told them we’d pay for it) and as a result, our pictures could not be taken as everything was delayed by an hour! We made sure we had the bridal team ready to have their hair and makeup done at the time provided as well. Very disappointed to have this experience with them and wish it could’ve been dealt with more professionally.

We used Appease for our hair and makeup for 13 people, and it was the best decision we made! They were on time, professional, friendly (and funny) and made everyone feel so beautiful! I didn't think it was possible, but I loved my hair and makeup even more on my wedding day, than on my trial (and I was in love with my styling after my trial) We will definitely be recommending Appease to all of our engaged friends!

The booking process with Appease was very easy and Carrie responded to emails in a timely manner. I have mixed feelings about my experience with Appease. My trial did not leave me feeling very confident with my choice to book as I was there for numerous hours and my hair looked NOTHING like the pictures I shared with the stylist. She tried 3 times to match the picture and by the time I left, my hair was a tangled mess. My make-up by Georgina looked AMAZING so that made me feel better. I reached out to Carrie and shared with her that I did not want the trial stylist to do my hair for the wedding and she was very understanding and told me she would send someone else. I also needed to make a few changes to the schedule the months prior to the wedding, and she always took care of it quickly. On wedding day, both stylists arrived 20 minutes before start time to set-up and were ready to begin by 7. Everyone loved their make-up, Georgina is truly amazing at what she does, but not everyone in my bridal party was thrilled with their hair. My maid of honor has very thick hair and wanted an updo. The stylist did not curl her hair at all and therefore it had no texture. Within an hour of her leaving the chair, her hair was falling out. My bridesmaids, maid of honor, mom, aunts, and anyone available spent so much time throughout the day between pictures, the ceremony, and the reception repinning it.

I really appreciate how patient and flexible Carrie and Malè were when doing my hair and makeup. They made sure I was 100% happy and Malè even bought some make up products I suggested and wanted to use. I would definitely recommend them for your big day!

Visha, Nadiya and Sharon did an AMAZING job on our hair and makeup! They helped me, our mothers and my bridesmaids feel our best the day of my wedding! Would definitely recommend!

Appease did an amazing job with the makeup for my wedding day! Our makeup artist showed up right on time and was so friendly. The makeup was so beautiful and looked very natural! Carrie was very responsive to my questions beforehand.

Carrie did an amazing job for my hair and makeup for my wedding on 5/14/2022. She went above and beyond and made me feel calm on the day of my wedding, which can be so hard during a highly emotional day. She truly made me feel like the most beautiful I have ever felt, and for that I am thankful for and would recommend her.

Carrie did an amazing job on my hair, as well as for the entire bridal party. I still get compliments to this day about how great the hair turned out. Carrie was so much fun to work with. We had the trial and I loved it, but changed my mind on the wedding day of how I wanted it to look. Carrie changed it up no problem, and it was better than I had ever dreamt of. She was great at giving advice for different hair types, and everyone looked beautiful that day.

Susan, Molly, and Carrie all provided stellar work for the bride, MOB, MOG (x 2!), and 8 bridesmaids. They made the entire process very easy and relaxing. All the artists were very down-to-earth and listened to each of the ladies receiving services. They did a great job! Thank you so much for everything.

Carrie did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I couldn’t have been happier! I was really worried because I don’t wear a lot of makeup, so I wanted to ensure that my makeup looked like me. Carrie nailed it! It was natural and bridal at the same time. My hair was so cute and stayed in place all evening, even with my crazy dance moves! Carrie made my whole wedding party feel at ease and listened to our wants. Thank you Carrie!

Tammy did a great job for my wedding day makeup. She was very personable and made it easy to say what I liked and didn't like. Each of my bridesmaids that requested service looked beautiful and confident. They were so helpful setting up a trial that met my very limited availability. Carrie's responses to my questions and requests were prompt and brought about much ease in my planning process.

AMAZING! Our stylists were so warm and welcoming and totally open to any of our requests. All of our girls loved their hair/makeup and had a wonderful time. We all felt heard and taken care of. All of the bridal party asked for the company name and will be using them for their events in the future. Great find!

Carrie and Male did hair and make up for me, my bridesmaids, and my family for my recent wedding and did such a wonderful job! Everyone looked beautiful and they did a great job making people feel comfortable day of (even though some family members didn't follow directions and came with wet hair, no idea what they wanted, etc). More importantly, both Carrie and Male were so sweet and supportive. We got married at the absolute peak of Omicron (not by choice, the venue wouldn't let us change the date), and between worrying about the potential for guests getting sick and receiving tons of last minute cancellations, I was an absolute wreck. Carrie and Male helped me calm down and get excited for the big day all at once and I'm so grateful to them! My only "critique" if you can call it that was that we actually ran ahead of schedule so my photographer didn't get a ton of getting ready pictures. That might be on me not having her come earlier, but I just mention it as something to keep in mind as you plan your schedule with Carrie after you hire Appease!

I have VERY thick and Heavy hair. I wanted an up-do for my wedding. Carrie did such a fantastic job at pinning up not only my hair but also a large hairpiece that I wanted included. She did such an amazing job that not a single hair was out of place at the end of the night after, literally, hours of dancing and jumping! My mom's English isn't perfect (she is primarily Spanish-speaking, especially if she's nervous) but Carrie did such an amazing job making her feel comfortable. They were chatting up like they were best friends while getting ready for the wedding.

Honestly, I am so sad to be leaving this review. Carrie and her team did my sister's wedding in November of 2016. Things went so well that we knew we wanted them for my wedding in April of this year. I wish we didn't make that mistake as no bride wants the experience that I had. I couldn't help but cry on both days as my hair and makeup had been so bad. On day 1, the original hair stylist just never showed. Carrie sent a sub and didn't tell anyone. I don't even think the makeup artist knew. We had 4 stylists, 2 at each location, and she sent the sub to the location with the bride. The sub had no idea what the schedule was and ran extremely behind. She took her sweet time because no one told her. Also, she had 0 skill when it came to updos or even curling. Just an overall shitshow. I had to call Carrie multiple times to find out what was going on before she finally answered and told me the original hair stylist had a medical emergency. I completely understood, but why wouldn't you send the bride the more experienced hairstylist and why wouldn't you ensure the sub knew the schedule? Just horrible horrible horrible. On the second day, the lady who was doing makeup barely covered up any of my scars. Mind you, this was a different lady from the first day. It was like we had no make up on. At least the hair stylist on the second day knew what she was doing. Now, before you say, "Oh you should have gotten a trial." How would that have mattered when I was sent a substitute. My mother-in-law and bridesmaids and myself all remade our hair. It was horrendous and a complete waste of money. It took more than a week to get in touch with Carrie to talk to her about my experience. Honestly, I wanted some money back. She obviously wouldn't give that to me. So she offered me free hair and makeup for a photo shoot. I texted her in August that I'm expecting and I'd love to have her do my hair and makeup for a maternity shoot. She said she was booked up until 1/8/22. I said no problem, we'll do it when you're available. I have now messaged her and called her for weeks (more than 3 weeks) to schedule something and no response. Thank you for making me look and feel like crap at my own wedding, Appease!

Mostly good! Our artist (Valerie) did a great job with my hair and my sister and mom's hair. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication the day of the event and our artist was 20 min late because she thought the start time was 10:30 instead of 10:00. I was not able to contact either Appease or Valerie to find out what was going on, so that was pretty annoying. It ended up being OK, but still, it was something I didn't want to deal with on the wedding day.

Appease was great overall! My hair and makeup trial turned out great and the makeup and hair stylists were both very nice. I appreciated that Carrie sent out a questionnaire for me to answer regarding my preferences, skin/hair type, wedding timeline and locations, etc. way beforehand. Day-of, my makeup and hair looked amazing, as did my bridesmaids. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars was communication through Carrie was slow at times, and day-of the stylists were a little late getting to us (but still finished everyone pretty much on time).

I really liked my experience with Appease! They were easy to work with and super well organized. I wish I had changed some small things about my hair between trial and the actual day, but I didn't speak up quite as much as I should have. I really, really loved my make-up. I'd definitely recommend them!
