I was so disappointed in my hair on my wedding day and looking back at the photos it was even worse than I thought. I don't understand how it came out so terrible after my trial went so well. Photos from trial and wedding for comparison.

Carrie did a fantastic job for my June 2024 wedding! I used her only for makeup, and she was on time, efficient, and stuck to all of our personal requests. I am so pleased with how the airbrushing held up throughout the day/night - even with the rain and tears. My mom hardly wears makeup and she loved how it turned out and Carrie was able to make it look natural and flawless. The booking process was easy, the questionnaire was helpful, and the trial went super smooth. Carrie was very responsive via email and I felt confident going into my big day. I am so glad I chose her and will be recommending her to every bride in the future!!!!

Carrie and her assistant were phenomenal! They were professional, warm, and flexible; they were able to style eight members of the wedding party in only a few hours! They made this nervous bride feel calm, comfortable, and beautiful. Thank you, Carrie!

I had a great experience working with Appease for my wedding in May! There were some issues with traffic on the morning of the wedding causing the stylists to arrive late. However, they were still able to get everyone's hair and makeup completed by the time we had planned for. Everyone's hair and makeup looked great and we were very happy with the way everything turned out!

Though I was out of state, Carrie and her team did a great job keeping me in the loop about planning. The stylists we worked with were attentive and professional, and we all loved our looks.

Unprofessional and communication was poor.

I unfortunately had a pretty bad experience with Appease. I originally booked them in March for my July wedding, then I was told I would be contacted to schedule a trial. I did not hear anything, so I reached out two more times over the course of over 2 weeks, and she finally said she would get back to me in 10 days because she was too busy. Then we finally scheduled the trial for May 11 at 11 AM. Then 3 days before the trial, they asked if we could move the trial back to 4 PM because they double booked themselves. Then, on the day of the trial at like 3 PM, they told me they were running late and would be there at 4:30. We waited in an empty studio until someone finally showed up at 4:40. Then, honestly, the hair and makeup was not very good. Very disappointing that I wasted almost 2 months.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Appease for my wedding, and overall, the experience was fantastic. Carrie is super talented and truly brought my vision to life with her exceptional skills in hair styling and makeup artistry. From the moment I saw the final result, I was absolutely thrilled with how beautiful and confident I felt. However, while the quality of service provided by Appease was outstanding, I do feel compelled to mention that there were some instances where communication fell short. There were times when it was challenging to reach Carrie or receive timely responses to my inquiries, which led to some minor frustrations and uncertainties leading up to the big day. Overall, I highly recommend Appease for anyone seeking professional hair and makeup services.

The team at Appease inc helped me get ready in 3 separate sessions for each event of my Polish-Indian fusion wedding. They had excellent expertise in traditional styles for a Hindu wedding and provided draping services which my american family really needed help with! Each hair/makeup look was unique and suited the event. Also, our wedding party was primarily family - when it came time to actually leave for the ceremony we did not have enough hands to help. Susan went above and beyond and carried my wedding dress train to the car so it would not get dirty or wrinkled - truly dedicated service!!

Appease Inc. was really great to work with and made me feel more confident and beautiful than ever on my wedding day! Cairea, the makeup artist who we were paired with was absolutely incredible! I have never had my makeup professionally done before and working with Cairea she really made me feel so comfortable and I was able to loosen up quickly and have a great time! I was encouraged to speak up if there was anything I wanted changed and on my wedding day I felt like my makeup was perfect, enhancing me while still feeling like myself! The morning of the wedding we had a 5 ladies getting their makeup done, including myself, and Cairea made us all feel beautiful while also having great energy the whole morning to start the day off right! I would highly recommend Appease Inc!!!

Appease made our special day even more magical! We had Carrie, the CEO of the company, along with another hair and makeup specialist, take care of us and all of our bridesmaids with ease. Everyone was on time, and they made both the trial and day of so easy! Honestly, I would hire Appease again for not only my wedding day, but for any special event that requires a little more love and care. The best part was that our wedding was an outside wedding, and so my hair and makeup lasted all day! My curls hardly deflated and my air brush makeup lasted until our photographer was done shooting portraits at dusk. Cannot speak highly enough of how much we loved the care at Appease

Not only was she phenomenal on the wedding day, but the trial experience was also exceptional—she made me feel incredibly comfortable. She effortlessly brought my vision to life, and her efficiency with everyone's hair was truly impressive. Appease was wonderful and affordable, they were flexible with all of my requests and made the getting ready process day of the wedding so seamless and personal. There was an emergency in which the stylist that I was supposed to have was unable to make my wedding the day before and they were able to find a new stylist that was filled in on exactly what I wanted from our trial and gave me time to consult prior to doing my hair. We also thought the makeup artist was AMAZING. She was so sweet and kind, felt like she was part of the family when we were all getting ready. I absolutely recommend them!

Appease was such a lovely vendor to work with! They provided both hair and makeup for my bridal party, and we were all thrilled with our looks. I hired Appease for my wedding and wedding party makeup. They did my bridesmaids' makeup which lasted all night. I had my wedding on a Sunday evening and ended at midnight and all the girls were happy with their makeup. The makeup artist was great, she arrived early and was very thoughtful and listened to what my bridesmaids' wanted. I had Susan for my hairstylist and she did 3 of my bridesmaids' hair and my aunt's hair. Susan was awesome, she was on time and she did everyone's hair so great. My hairstyle was awesome and lasted all night, I was extremely satisfied with their services.

I have receipts and a very long email to let any brides know how unprofessional this business is. Granted, they dont do refunds. Fine. But after explaining my side to Carrie with a long email, she responds to my text then after one text a day for three days(with no reply), she replies and claims Im bullying her into giving me a refund. Mind you, out of $1600, I asked for the bridal fee $300. Even $100 to show that she is sorry for how we were treated. Hair and makeup was off. My bridesmaids shared their story with me AFTER services were done. No one was happy with their hair and makeup. Hair was done the same with my 3 bridesmaids who asked for different styles. Will choose staff words over brides . We were rushed, hair stylist said she has other clients chop chop when we had a set time for each person. Kept talking to our photographer about her life. My face was darker than my neck. My OFFICIANT helped fixed my hair because when we arrived at the venue before the ceremony, my clip was down to my back. I was so happy with Appease Inc. I knew I was going to look amazing on my wedding day after doing a trial run with Carrie. The trial run, I had my makeup and hair done both by Carrie. She did an amazing job, I never had my hair or makeup look so good. I even bought hair clip extensions from her! (I go them dyed by my hairstylist) The day of the wedding Carrie and her teammate showed up early, which was wonderful. It gave us plenty of time to get everyone ready before the photographers showed up. Carrie did an amazing job with my hair and makeup, she blended my clip on hair extensions in beautifully. I looked so beautiful and I felt amazing. The rest of my wedding party loved their hair and makeup, any changes they wanted were addressed right then and there. We all had so much fun that morning getting ready. Carrie was the absolute best, she is really fun and easy to talk to! I was just so happy with how everything went. I highly recommended Appease Inc. (Carrie), they're the absolute best!!!

The hair and makeup services were spectacular! Carrie was able to add hair for two people who decided they wanted to get their hair done on the day of. I was worried there wouldn't be enough time, but Carrie was able to make it work! Such a kind and professional person. If you're like me and you don't normally wear lots of makeup, Carrie is your girl. And with my thick curly hair, I trusted her to do her thing and it came out gorgeous. I'd recommend any of my friends to hire her!

Carrie and her team were so professional for my wedding on 11/3. They arrived early, stayed on time, and were so personable! If I could give Carrie and her team 1000 stars, I would! I first met Carrie and her team when she did the hair and makeup for my best friends wedding. Everyone looked AMAZING, so it was a no brainer that I was going to go with Carrie and her team when it came time for my own wedding! I was an anxious bride and Carrie was so wonderful in helping keep me calm with our timeline! She and her team showed up early for hair and makeup to make sure that we stayed within the timeline, everyone was professional, and fun to spend the day with! I'm not kidding when I say that people came up to me and told me how gorgeous everyone's hair and makeup looked, including mine! Everyone looked GORGEOUS! My hair and makeup was EXACTLY what I wanted, my mom, now mother in law, sisters, and the rest of my bridal party were all so happy with our hair and makeup! - very difficult to communicate with and seemed unorganized - sent different artists than were planned and used for the trial - not all artists were able to complete the simple & natural looks that were shown to them in pictures, requests for "natural" makeup was not at all respected - the only false lashes available were massive lashes so we went to Sephora to buy reasonably sized false lashes - not all artists were able to work with natural curls without just straightening them, this was very disappointing - not all artists were willing to make changes to fit the styles that women wanted, so many women resulted to redoing hair/makeup after the artists left Using this company resulted in unnecessary stress for me, my family members, and my bridesmaids on my wedding day and unfortunately, I would not recommend them.

Carrie with Appease is AMAZING! Right from the beginning she was very responsive and fun to work with. The "theme" of my wedding was glitter and she did not disappoint - she brought so many options for me to pick from. Me and my bridesmaids all looked AMAZING and I am still getting compliments on Carrie' work. I am in the wedding industry as well and will recommend Appease to all of my brides!

I recently enjoyed my experience with Appease for my September 2023 wedding! Booking was very easy and smooth and Carrie was accommodating to my questions more than 1 year out from the wedding. The questionnaire was helpful to get the process started closer to the wedding and helped to determine the services needed. The trail went smoothly and allowed me an opportunity to get to know the lead stylists before the wedding day. I took notes afterward the trial and was able to adjust parts of my hair and make-up style for the actual day. I had a fairly large bridal party of 11 people including myself, bridesmaids, and mothers, most who had both hair and make-up appointments. For anyone with a larger party like me, I would highly recommend booking additional stylists to help make the day go smoothly. We had 4 stylists (2 hair, 2 make-up) and we finished in 3 hours for 11 people! On the morning of the wedding day, all stylists showed up on time and ready to go! They were very professional and helped create a calm atmosphere for me. We had created a schedule ahead of time, but the stylists were flexible to take some appointments early and adjust as we were going along. My bridal party were very complimentary of their final looks and how smooth the getting ready process was for the morning! This was really important to me as I wanted to have a calm start to my day and Appease did an amazing job! Thank you so much for making our day so great!

Appease did my bridesmaids' and mother's hair. They were accommodating to schedule adjustments and arrived on-time. Val was skilled, and the ladies were happy with their hair. Also, pricing was very fair. Would recommend!

I would give zero stars if I could. I booked a hair and makeup trial with Appease and the makeup was okay, but the hair stylist (Carrie, the owner), was over an hour late because she first ended up in a completely different zip code at the opposite side of the city. She insisted on still coming, but upon arrival, she did an extremely rushed job and the result did not look anything like either of the pictures I had provided as inspiration. We even joked before she started that I did not want a military type bun, but that is what it came out looking like. Afterwards, I was trying to figure out a solution for the payment, since I had clearly not received a professional hair service and did not want to pay the full price for the trial. However, after going back and forth via email, Carrie wouldn't budge and kept threatening that my outstanding balance would go to collections, as well as blaming me for ending up on the south-side instead of the north-side of Chicago. My experience was extremely disappointing and I would definitely not recommending them for how unprofessional Carrie was.

I worked with Carrie for hair (and bride’s makeup) and Tonya for makeup. Carrie and Tonya both showed up early (which is impressive with a 7 am start time), and we actually ran ahead of schedule! This Type A, highly anxious bride was SO HAPPY. Carrie and Tonya were both kind, professional, and so talented! Carrie did an especially wonderful job on updos and with my curly hair. Hair styles and makeup both lasted all day, which was amazing for a humid June day with outdoor photos prior to a 5 pm ceremony. Not a single woman had an eyelash come unglued or a bobby pin fall out. I felt like an absolute princess and was so happy to just relax and let Carrie and Tonya do their thing!

We really enjoyed having Appease arrange our hair and makeup for the wedding. We had a smaller group with varied needs (my grandmother wanted minimal makeup, my sister has lots of hair and wanted airbrush/lashes etc) and they did a great job catering to everyone and were easy to work with--especially Valerie (hair).

Appease did a great job! We had 11 girls to get their hair and make up done the morning of the wedding and they stayed on schedule very well! Hair and make up were beautiful.

I found appease inc when I stood up in my friends wedding, and I knew I had to book them for mine! The girls were so nice and really listened to me and my bridesmaids for what they wanted! They took their time and made sure everyone was happy and ready to go !Carrie, Nadia and Susan were the best team! I received so many compliments. Do yourself a favor and find a company that doesn’t require you to pay ahead of time. I had 7 bridesmaids, myself and my mom all get their makeup done. They scheduled 1 person to get it all done in 5 hours and guess what, she didn’t finish and I was still charged. We were supposed to be done at 12:45 and out the door by 1:15. She didn’t start my makeup until noon and there were still 2 bridesmaids to go. The makeup artist blamed being behind on my eyes tearing and even lied saying my makeup took double the time it did. 1 bridesmaid only had time to have lashes put on and the other wasn’t done at all and they won’t refund them. I missed a lot of pictures I wanted at my house because I was still getting makeup done and we got to the church at 2 right when the ceremony was supposed to start. There was so many things that went wrong simply because the makeup artist was behind and it’s very disheartening the least the company could do is refund my 2 bridesmaids and myself for this. The owner was rude in her response to me and they don’t care about anything that went wrong in the hands of their own employees. Do yourself a favor and find a company that will follow through with your paid services and make it right if they’re not able to complete your services.

I am very disappointed with my experience using this company. I flew in from Texas to be the Maid of Honor in my best friends wedding in November. We had a complete itinerary for the day laid out (as one does on their wedding day) including when each bridesmaid would be getting their makeup done. The morning of the wedding unfortunately took a turn for the worst when the makeup artist ran out of time to complete her services. Coming close to the time indicated that we needed to head to the church, the makeup artist still had not gotten to me, another bridesmaid, the mother of the bride, and the bride herself. The MOTB and the bride’s makeup were pushed before myself and the other bridesmaid to ensure that they could be completed. Fast forward to only 30 mins remaining, the makeup artist was just getting started on the bride, so I approached her to ask if I need to start my own makeup because she was behind by 2 girls and the trolley would be here to get us soon. Upon asking that, I asked about receiving a refund if opted to do my own makeup, and she very rudely told me I was putting her behind more and that I needed to call the company to get the refund.. I then, in a panic, had to rush to do my own makeup to stand up as my best friends Maid of Honor in her wedding. The other bridesmaid was thankfully able to get her makeup done while the rest of us did our first look pictures with the bride, of which she was left out of most, and had to run into a few shots with half-done makeup :( We let a couple days pass by before reaching out to avoid stressing out the bride on her honeymoon. The bride emailed Appease explaining what had happened. The owner, Carrie, responded with no apology, and said that there were “circumstances” outside of the makeup artists control that detoured the timeline, and that there was a contract in place where it states that there are no refunds. She then offered a service credit of $100 with their company (which is less than what was paid for the service). I then reached out to advise her that I paid out of pocket to get my own hair and makeup done for this wedding, and that a service credit wouldn’t be useful or practical as I live in Texas- No response since, even after many follow up emails. Obviously it’s upsetting that this occurred, but it did occur to no fault of my own, and this company is not being responsive or accommodating. This really set the morning off to a stressful and disappointing start for all of us, and I would strongly advise Bride’s to find another service to use for your special day. Things happen! But customer service and catering to your clients is a huge part of providing a service- please do better Appease2you.

We hired Appease to do hair and makeup for me (the bride), 4 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and 2 grandmas. Carrie did our hair and Male did our makeup, and they were AMAZING! Carrie and Male did a trial for me, and were totally flexible with changing a few things the day of the wedding. The wedding group included ages 16-78, waist-length hair to pixies, natural makeup looks to full glam, and they made everyone look outstanding! Carrie was also kind enough to fix my brother with up some hair gel, and Male was able to add lashes last minute for a couple of gals who didn't request them at booking. They were so upbeat throughout the whole process, starting at 6:30 AM! Not only that, my hair and makeup DID NOT BUDGE throughout the entire 18 hour day. They also took some incredible photos and videos, which I've loved having while we wait for our professional photos to come back.

Working with this company was so great! They took the time to listen to what I wanted and made recommendations based on that information. The artist showed up on time and stayed on schedule.

I wish we had a better experience with Appease during our wedding weekend. They were impossible to get a hold of (via phone and email) leading up to the wedding. We had specifically given them our timeline as to when we would have our morning pictures and had asked for extra help. They declined to give us extra help (we even told them we’d pay for it) and as a result, our pictures could not be taken as everything was delayed by an hour! We made sure we had the bridal team ready to have their hair and makeup done at the time provided as well. Very disappointed to have this experience with them and wish it could’ve been dealt with more professionally.

We used Appease for our hair and makeup for 13 people, and it was the best decision we made! They were on time, professional, friendly (and funny) and made everyone feel so beautiful! I didn't think it was possible, but I loved my hair and makeup even more on my wedding day, than on my trial (and I was in love with my styling after my trial) We will definitely be recommending Appease to all of our engaged friends!

The booking process with Appease was very easy and Carrie responded to emails in a timely manner. I have mixed feelings about my experience with Appease. My trial did not leave me feeling very confident with my choice to book as I was there for numerous hours and my hair looked NOTHING like the pictures I shared with the stylist. She tried 3 times to match the picture and by the time I left, my hair was a tangled mess. My make-up by Georgina looked AMAZING so that made me feel better. I reached out to Carrie and shared with her that I did not want the trial stylist to do my hair for the wedding and she was very understanding and told me she would send someone else. I also needed to make a few changes to the schedule the months prior to the wedding, and she always took care of it quickly. On wedding day, both stylists arrived 20 minutes before start time to set-up and were ready to begin by 7. Everyone loved their make-up, Georgina is truly amazing at what she does, but not everyone in my bridal party was thrilled with their hair. My maid of honor has very thick hair and wanted an updo. The stylist did not curl her hair at all and therefore it had no texture. Within an hour of her leaving the chair, her hair was falling out. My bridesmaids, maid of honor, mom, aunts, and anyone available spent so much time throughout the day between pictures, the ceremony, and the reception repinning it.

I really appreciate how patient and flexible Carrie and Malè were when doing my hair and makeup. They made sure I was 100% happy and Malè even bought some make up products I suggested and wanted to use. I would definitely recommend them for your big day!

She went above and beyond and made me feel calm on the day of my wedding, which can be so hard during a highly emotional day. Carrie did an amazing job on my hair, as well as for the entire bridal party. I still get compliments to this day about how great the hair turned out. Carrie was so much fun to work with. We had the trial and I loved it, but changed my mind on the wedding day of how I wanted it to look. Carrie changed it up no problem, and it was better than I had ever dreamt of. She was great at giving advice for different hair types, and everyone looked beautiful that day.

Carrie did my hair and makeup for my wedding day and I couldn’t have been happier! I was really worried because I don’t wear a lot of makeup, so I wanted to ensure that my makeup looked like me. Carrie nailed it! It was natural and bridal at the same time. My hair was so cute and stayed in place all evening, even with my crazy dance moves! Carrie made my whole wedding party feel at ease and listened to our wants. Thank you Carrie!

Tammy did a great job for my wedding day makeup. She was very personable and made it easy to say what I liked and didn't like. Each of my bridesmaids that requested service looked beautiful and confident. They were so helpful setting up a trial that met my very limited availability. Carrie's responses to my questions and requests were prompt and brought about much ease in my planning process.

AMAZING! Our stylists were so warm and welcoming and totally open to any of our requests. All of our girls loved their hair/makeup and had a wonderful time. We all felt heard and taken care of. All of the bridal party asked for the company name and will be using them for their events in the future. Great find!

Carrie and Male did hair and make up for me, my bridesmaids, and my family for my recent wedding and did such a wonderful job! Everyone looked beautiful and they did a great job making people feel comfortable day of (even though some family members didn't follow directions and came with wet hair, no idea what they wanted, etc). More importantly, both Carrie and Male were so sweet and supportive. We got married at the absolute peak of Omicron (not by choice, the venue wouldn't let us change the date), and between worrying about the potential for guests getting sick and receiving tons of last minute cancellations, I was an absolute wreck. Carrie and Male helped me calm down and get excited for the big day all at once and I'm so grateful to them! My only "critique" if you can call it that was that we actually ran ahead of schedule so my photographer didn't get a ton of getting ready pictures. That might be on me not having her come earlier, but I just mention it as something to keep in mind as you plan your schedule with Carrie after you hire Appease!

I have VERY thick and Heavy hair. I wanted an up-do for my wedding. Carrie did such a fantastic job at pinning up not only my hair but also a large hairpiece that I wanted included. She did such an amazing job that not a single hair was out of place at the end of the night after, literally, hours of dancing and jumping! My mom's English isn't perfect (she is primarily Spanish-speaking, especially if she's nervous) but Carrie did such an amazing job making her feel comfortable. They were chatting up like they were best friends while getting ready for the wedding.

Honestly, I am so sad to be leaving this review. Carrie and her team did my sister's wedding in November of 2016. Things went so well that we knew we wanted them for my wedding in April of this year. I wish we didn't make that mistake as no bride wants the experience that I had. I couldn't help but cry on both days as my hair and makeup had been so bad. On day 1, the original hair stylist just never showed. Carrie sent a sub and didn't tell anyone. I don't even think the makeup artist knew. We had 4 stylists, 2 at each location, and she sent the sub to the location with the bride. The sub had no idea what the schedule was and ran extremely behind. She took her sweet time because no one told her. Also, she had 0 skill when it came to updos or even curling. Just an overall shitshow. I had to call Carrie multiple times to find out what was going on before she finally answered and told me the original hair stylist had a medical emergency. I completely understood, but why wouldn't you send the bride the more experienced hairstylist and why wouldn't you ensure the sub knew the schedule? Just horrible horrible horrible. On the second day, the lady who was doing makeup barely covered up any of my scars. Mind you, this was a different lady from the first day. It was like we had no make up on. At least the hair stylist on the second day knew what she was doing. Now, before you say, "Oh you should have gotten a trial." How would that have mattered when I was sent a substitute. My mother-in-law and bridesmaids and myself all remade our hair. It was horrendous and a complete waste of money. It took more than a week to get in touch with Carrie to talk to her about my experience. Honestly, I wanted some money back. She obviously wouldn't give that to me. So she offered me free hair and makeup for a photo shoot. I texted her in August that I'm expecting and I'd love to have her do my hair and makeup for a maternity shoot. She said she was booked up until 1/8/22. I said no problem, we'll do it when you're available. I have now messaged her and called her for weeks (more than 3 weeks) to schedule something and no response. Thank you for making me look and feel like crap at my own wedding, Appease!

Mostly good! Our artist (Valerie) did a great job with my hair and my sister and mom's hair. Unfortunately, there was a miscommunication the day of the event and our artist was 20 min late because she thought the start time was 10:30 instead of 10:00. I was not able to contact either Appease or Valerie to find out what was going on, so that was pretty annoying. It ended up being OK, but still, it was something I didn't want to deal with on the wedding day.

Appease was great overall! My hair and makeup trial turned out great and the makeup and hair stylists were both very nice. I appreciated that Carrie sent out a questionnaire for me to answer regarding my preferences, skin/hair type, wedding timeline and locations, etc. way beforehand. Day-of, my makeup and hair looked amazing, as did my bridesmaids. The only reason I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars was communication through Carrie was slow at times, and day-of the stylists were a little late getting to us (but still finished everyone pretty much on time).

I really liked my experience with Appease! They were easy to work with and super well organized. I wish I had changed some small things about my hair between trial and the actual day, but I didn't speak up quite as much as I should have. I really, really loved my make-up. I'd definitely recommend them!

Julia and Kristy were very efficient and friendly. My makeup was perfect: light and natural, so I still felt like myself. I loved my hairstyle and it stayed in place all day. My mom, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids were all happy with their looks as well. The only thing that could have been better was the communication and scheduling by email. Sometimes I didn't get a reply for 1-2 weeks. But I know they were super busy in 2021 with all the rescheduled events!

I had a fantastic experience working with my hair and makeup professionals from Appease. Each person in the wedding party looked uniquely themself, but at their best. The makeup was stunning and looked perfect all night long. It survived a 90 degree day with humidity and rain. The hair stylist rolled with my surprise request to add a hair clip on the wedding day. Both people were lovely to talk to. Great value for the price too.

I wish I could review Carrie, our hair stylist, and our makeup artist separately. Working with Carrie was difficult. I had to reach out multiple times to receive a response. I emailed her about extra services before the wedding and never got an answer so I went elsewhere. Also, my makeup artist never showed up to my trial. I was understanding and asked for it to be rescheduled for the day of my wedding shower (a Sunday) I got a lot of push back from Carrie. I found this rude and unprofessional since I was rescheduling because someone didn't show up. I was also still charged the full amount for the trial (which I was okay with but an offer for a discount would have been appreciated). Our hair stylist was absolutely wonderful (Kristy). My hair looked fabulous and she helped improve my hair after I didn't love my trial (she gave me what I wanted at my trial it just wasn't the look I wanted). I received tons of compliments. Our makeup artist (Julia) was apologetic about missing my trial and did a wonderful job. However, she was a few minutes late the day off and I was rushing to get to the venue on time. She seemed very frazzled. I found out from my MIL that she got sick in my hotel bathroom after we all left. I did love my makeup but the process was not great.

Like the last few brides, I had a terrible experience with Appease, Inc. I had my trial a few months before the wedding. Carrie was very rushed. I'd say my makeup was good and hair was just ok. But still decided to go with Appease since my wedding was relatively soon. After signing the contract, I literally heard nothing from Carrie. I sent multiple emails with specific questions and head nothing. Her email signature says she will respond within 2 business days, but after a month of absolutely no response, I decided it wasn't worth the stress and lack of communication. After frantically finding a new hair/makeup company (who responded to all of my emails immediately), I sent an email to Carrie telling her that I would not longer be using her company for my wedding. She responded immediately with this response "I believe the only thing we owe you is a schedule though and that typically gets finalized about a month prior to the wedding? Anyway, per the contract there is a $250 cancellation fee. " She completely ignored all of the specific questions I had sent her in my previous emails. I feel like the whole thing was a scam and she was relieved to have me cancel my contract since she got an extra $250 for me to cancel. This is not the way to run a business. For all the brides out there, don't waste your time with Appease. There are so many wonderful vendors out there. This one sticks out as the worst I worked with for my entire wedding.

As mentioned in other negative reviews, be prepared to be ghosted right before your wedding. I booked the medium priced bridal hair and everything was good until after the trial. We had some change in details and needed to update the salon, but the owner just wouldn't respond, and that was one month before our big day. Emails were never replied. Calls always went to voice message. 4 weeks of radio silence. I lost sleep over this and had to prepare for the worst case scenario if my stylist didn't show up at the right location. Eventually I had to threaten legal action for the owner to get back to me. She did not apologize at all. Her excuse was she's been getting a lot of spam calls so she's not answering the phone unless she knows who's calling. Er, hello? This is not how you run a business! You should be as reachable as possible for your customers. And what about those un-replied emails?? My stylist did arrive on time and at the right place the day of, but I could not be 100% relieved until that moment. Evelyn was skillful and did our hair nice and quick. But if you're like most brides, whose worst nightmare is uncertainty, you'd want to look somewhere else.

I feel as if I had a completely different experience from these reviews with 5 stars. I'm truly not one to complain but rather than confidence in my hair stylist, I felt very anxious and uneasy. When Carrie came over to my house for my hair trial, she seemed to rush through everything, which did not phase me because I understand she is busy, but when I asked that she let some curls out from being pinned and my sister suggested that she add a braid, Carrie sighed, seemed irritated, and said she would have to redo my hair then, as if it were an inconvenience for her. We were not sure why she would need to redo everything when the entire hairstyle took her maybe 25 minutes to do. After the trial, the more I looked at my hair, the less I liked the type of curl, but was very nervous to let Carrie know because of her reaction at my trial. I had a few girlfriends try out different curls on me to see if there was something I would like better. On the day of the wedding, Carrie arrived early and ready to go and was ahead on time. She came from a wedding earlier and had a wedding after mine. She didn't really make conversation with any of the girls but we understood because she must have been tired. Although, it did seem unprofessional. Almost everyone was happy with their hair but mentioned it felt rushed. My hair looked fine but ended up being re-curled by one of my bridesmaids who knew what I was looking for and knows my hair very well which is a shame. My sister showed a picture of a messy bun with a braid as her inspiration and Carrie not only told her she didn't want to do a braid on her, but then had a big attitude when my sister (very politely) mentioned that she would like to fix the bun, which looked like a bun that you had in your hair for a week and didn't brush, and to add a braid. It did not look like it was professionally done. It made myself, my sister, and a few other bridesmaids who were in the room feel very uncomfortable. I ended up having a few of my bridesmaids sit in the room with my sister because I didn't want her to feel bad. She paid in full plus tip (which Carrie added prior-to in the invoice) for her hair to be done and she deserved to have it done the way she wanted it. I believe Carrie could be a good hairstylist, I just believe that she is overly busy, which is not the fault of the customer, and she wasn't at her best for my trial or my wedding day.

So I read a review from July 2021 about this woman Carrie that got me nervous. I booked and paid a deposit in May 2021. My wedding is October 2nd, 2021. I have not heard anything from them since May. When trying to contact them, there were no returned calls or emails. I then started messaging them on Facebook and Instagram. Carrie then stated because I didn't fill out a questionnaire, that is why there has been no communication and it was my fault . This was Thursday before Labor Day, less than 30 days away. All in all, we decided to cancel due to her attitude and lack of communication. She then responded with quite the response and called me a frantic bride! How can we rely on you on our most important day if this is how you are? Very unprofessional. Upset I didn't check reviews more in depth... GOOD LUCK CARRIE!

Appease was an amazing beauty service provider- high-quality products and services!! Tammy and Fabby did an incredible job with my bridal hair and makeup- I felt so bonita!! My makeup/hair survived the hot summer sweat, tears, and dance floor! The bridal party had different skin tones and requested a variety of hairstyles, and all ten bridesmaids/moms were very happy with their services!

We used Appease for our bridal party makeup for our wedding and they were so great to work with! We worked with Carrie throughout the planning process, and she was so organized and responsive throughout and made everything super easy. Julia was our stylist for the day of and she was amazing. Everyone absolutely loved how their makeup turned out and she was so great about picking perfect colors for everyone in the bridal party! She was so friendly and fun the day of and was super prompt and actually ended up running early, which was very helpful for our busy day. I highly recommend Appease, and specifically Julia to work with for your wedding!

I feel like I worked with a different company than the one with so many positive reviews! Carrie, the salon owner, was unresponsive and difficult to work with from the moment I paid my deposit. I had to email and call multiple times to get any response from her on scheduling my trial. Before I booked with Appease, I told her the day of the trial I needed (a Wednesday morning), and she assured me it would be no problem but then would not respond to any of my attempts to schedule a specific time for the next several weeks. She didn't give me the time of the trial (on a Wednesday morning) until the Tuesday night before - with just 12 hours notice before the trial itself. While I completely understand this is an unprecedented busy time for all wedding vendors, I haven't had any issues with other vendors in scheduling and responding to emails/calls. Perhaps this is just a difficult year where they took on more than they could handle, but I've never received such unhelpful and unprofessional service from a company before. The trial itself continued my poor experience with Appease. I asked for soft, natural makeup and specifically requested no under-eye makeup. What I received was heavy, round the eye, thick eyeliner and a really dark lip color. The makeup smudged all down my cheeks by the time my hair was done so the artist had to use makeup remover to take it off and redo the foundation/blush on my cheeks. I requested (with photos) a soft curled braid and received an entirely different intricate weaved semi-braided style, which started to fall out within minutes. Could not possibly recommend this company less - if you want hair and makeup that will last more than 20 minutes, and a vendor who will respond to your emails/calls and provide clear, friendly communication, book elsewhere!

Appease Inc was recommended to me by one of my bridesmaids and I am so happy I went with them! My makeup artist, Male, and my hair stylist, Tammy, did an amazing job with all of our looks. They were so easy to get along with and were able to work with whatever looks me and my bridesmaids were going for. I felt so beautiful on my wedding day an they were worth every penny! Absolutely recommend :)

Highly recommend!!! Carrie and Evelyn did the hair and makeup for me and 6 bridesmaids, and it was such a great experience! The looks lasted all day (and all night), and not a hair out of place! We all received the airbrush makeup, which looked absolutely flawless. We ran just a few minutes behind schedule, so make sure to leave a little cushion in your timeline. Overall, it was such a pleasure to work with Appease and I'm recommending them to all my newly engaged friends!

I worked with Carrie in coordinating and we had a team of two fabulous ladies for our hair & makeup for 6. They did wonderful at our trial and day of services. Arrived on time and finished on time and everyone loved how it all turned out. So thankful and appreciate all their hard work. They were phenomenal!

I was so happy to choose Appease Inc. for our beauty services! Their package allowed me and my bridal party to select which service each bridesmaid wanted at reasonable pricing! Even when my original makeup artist had an emergency and couldn't be at the wedding, Carrie and the company quickly made arrangements to adjust and I was very pleased at how everything came out! The trial was also very easy to schedule, and they are very communicative whenever I reached out to them (especially during the chaos of a pandemic)!

Carrie was amazing! When I went to the salon for my trial, I explained that I wanted my makeup to be somewhat natural. I don't wear makeup on a day-to-day basis so I didn't want the difference to be too drastic. I also explained that my hair does NOT stay up so I wanted my hairstyle to be low, at the base of my neck, and to be loose and look alright when it started to fall out. Carrie exceeded my expectations! My makeup was breathable and beautiful and my hair was perfect! It did start to fall out (as I expected) but the style Carrie chose hid the fact that it was falling very well. You can't tell in any photos that it had started to fall. Additionally, all of my bridesmaids are very different and had different ideas for how they wanted their hair done. Carrie was very accommodating and exceeded all of our expectations. Everyone looked lovely, but they were also their beautiful and unique selves.

I had such a great experience with Appease! Carrie was very responsive when coordinating pricing, my trial and the day of the wedding. She and Male arrived on time to get the 6 of us set in time for pictures and the ceremony and everyone loved their look!

They were amazing. Me, my 4 bridesmaids, and my mom all had hair and makeup done on the day of and everyone looked BEAUTIFUL. I was so happy and everyone felt amazing all night. They started and finished on time, listened to what everyone liked, and our hair and makeup stayed nice all night. We really couldn’t have asked for anything better. Plus, we had great conversation the whole time and had a ton of fun!

Appease was the absolute best at making me, my bridesmaids, and mom feel so beautiful!! I got married a couple weeks ago, 9/21/19, and having Appease as our hair and makeup artists was one of the best decisions I made! Carrie was so easy to talk and plan with, and was always quick to respond to all my emails. I actually stood up in my friends wedding and she had Appease as her hair and makeup artists. I knew ever since then that I was going to use Appease for my wedding. My experience as a bridesmaid with Appease was a amazing. My hair and makeup lasted the entire night. I had the same great experience as a bride! I highly recommend 10/10! Julia was the absolute best makeup artist I have ever had! I am not the best at doing makeup and I like to keep my makeup on a everyday pretty minimal. Julia was able to give me a gorgeous full look without me feeling like a different person. She was so easy to work with and is truly talented. For my trial I had more pink tones, which was beautiful, but for my wedding I wanted to have more cream tones, and she made it happen! I wasn’t sure if I needed to have the same makeup as my trial but she assured I could have my makeup any way I wanted. I’m so happy Julia was able to be my makeup artist, she was wonderful! My bridesmaids and mom were also extremely happy with the result of their makeup as well! Amanda was also the absolute best for doing our hair! I have very thin and fine hair so having my hair last all day was a bit of a worry of mine. Amanda assured me that she had the same type of hair herself so I really couldn’t have asked for a better hair stylist! She knew exactly what she was working with and knew how to make my hair last all day, and even looked great the day after! I had extensions that I purchased through Appease and they’re great! I wasn’t sure how it would look given I never died my hair before and I have natural blonde highlights, but the extensions I was given couldn’t have been a better match! When my hair is curled in with the extensions nobody would even be able to tell the difference. Amanda is the best and I was so happy with her hard work of of making my, my bridesmaids, and mom’s hair all so beautiful!

All stylists we amazing! My trial was great making the day of ever better. All stylists arrived on time and kept to the timely schedule.

My bridesmaids and myself were so happy with Appease. Iris and the second stylist were quick, ahead of schedule, and with beautiful outcomes. She listened to exactly what I wanted, offered her opinion, and made sure I left the trial happy and comfortable. It was great having them travel to where we needed as we got married in a more rural area (SW Michigan).

I would highly recommend working with Appease, Inc. for your wedding day. Amanda was a joy to work with (and I was super impressed with her performance because she was pregnant, too!!!). She was a Platinum-level stylist, I believe. She was super friendly and fun to work with, and made me feel completely stress-free during my trial and on my wedding day. I knew my bridesmaids and I were in good hands. I also am really glad we had a trial, and she helped coach me through the different options for makeup and hair since I didn't know much about the process. Both my hair and my makeup were exactly what I was looking for - a classy updo and a natural look for my makeup. I did spring for the airbrush and lashes, which really completed the look. I also really valued Appease's communication and check-ins throughout the planning process. Thank you so much, Amanda and Carrie, for helping me look my best on my wedding day! :)

I am so happy I went with Appease to do our hair and make up for my wedding. Amanda did my hair and make up - she did an excellent job! I got SO many complements. Amanda & Tanya were both very professional, fun, and worked quickly. We had a lot of girls needing hair and make up, they got through them all!
