Owner and lead planner, Shauna Jackson, is familiar with all the aspects of wedding planning, and knows how to create an organized, personalized event. She will commit herself to your vision, and work to bring your vision to life.
Shauna has always had a passion for event planning, first discovering her interest in it as a child. After her own marriage in 2013, she soon turned her hobby into a career, and founded aRay of Events in 2021. She knows that each couple is different, and works to show off their unique personalities and styles in their venue design.
aRay of Events can organize an array of event types, from local ceremonies to destination weddings. Their service packages have been carefully curated for full- planning and management (day-of-coordination.) During your big day, Shauna will handle any unexpected obstacles, while you enjoy time with your loved ones. From your engagement party to your honeymoon, she will go above and beyond to exceed your expectations.

My daughter and I contracted for Day of Coordinating with Shauna Jackson, the owner of aRay of Events. The bride and I are both from Kansas City but with the wedding located in St. Louis, I needed a coordinator from the St. Louis area as we were planning the equivalent of a destination wedding.
From day 1, Shauna offered any help she could give. Particularly, suggesting local vendors who she knew would provide great service for reasonable pricing.
Although the bride and I designed and planned the entire wedding ourselves, Shauna jumped in several times during the lead up to help me find draping, suggest florists and sent emails with reminders of things that needed to be done each month.
When it came to the week of the wedding, everything ramped up. Shauna was willing to receive three different UPS shipments as they were delivering as we were leaving Kansas City for St Louis. She received ALL off the rental linens (and sent them back for me!), a tiered cake stand that wasn’t going to make it in time and some photos that we wanted to display at the wedding reception. Shauna just takes everything in stride. A last-minute need for a specialty sized blackout curtain for the reception caused me some trepidation but Shauna just came up with it out of nowhere and took care of it.
The bride and I chose to contract with aRay of Events because they have a large team and can bring in the numbers of people needed to complete any task as requested. I had a U-Haul van full of décor that I had amassed over the prior year. Shauna had someone at the venue when we arrived the day before the wedding to unload the van. This was unexpected as we assumed we would be unloading the van but so appreciated as there were so many other things to get done. The venue setup took 5-6 hours with 5 aRay of events staff including Shauna. I had given her a substantial document with descriptions and photos of where everything should be placed. They asked me maybe three questions and I, frankly, disappeared on them completely once I had to be at hair and makeup. The set everything up perfectly and what I didn’t have detail for, they set up beautifully.
Shauna ran the rehearsal and it was so organized and efficient. Anything I had spent weeks trying to remember to tell the wedding party, Shauna told them in the first five minutes. She is such a professional.
The wedding day was absolutely perfect. At least, it felt perfect. If anything happened that wasn’t supposed to, I still don’t know about it – Shauna is that good. Shauna and her staff did everything. Got the bridal party where they needed to be, took the bridesmaid’s luggage to the hotel for us, set up all of the décor, pinned flowers, greeted and directed the other vendors and just overall took everything off our shoulders. And then made sure the couple and parents all had drinks if we needed them all through the night. After all of that, Shauna and her staff somehow managed to remove all of the décor that had taken so long to set up, break it down, pack it up and get it into the U-Haul and a little over an hour. The venue gave us one hour to remove everything so this was an amazing feat of efficiency.
If you are looking for a Wedding Planner or Day of Coordinator, I cannot recommend aRay of Events enough. The are professional, efficient and caring. Shauna probably got tired of hearing me tell her all night what a great party it was and just the best day. It was a great day just because of the wedding but Shauna and aRay of Events made it flawless.
We hired aRay of Events initially for "day of" wedding coordination and ended up working with them to also secure rentals for a large portion of our decor. Shauna and team were nothing short of incredible throughout the entire process. Everything was just so...easy, every step of the way. When I described my vision for various components of the decor, Shauna's answer was always that she could make it happen, even if she didn't have the pieces on hand in her rental collection. The most notable example of this was that our venue had a stage with black skirting and black (moveable) stairs, and we really wanted white skirting and white stairs. Shauna explored sooooo many different options for these white stairs and didn't stop until she found a solution. It really made a difference on the day of because the white on the stage transformed the entire ceremony space. Shauna also came to our house one evening the week before the wedding to pick up all of the stuff that she'd need to set up on the day of. She also brought all of that stuff, gifts/cards, and flowers back to us and delivered it to our house the day after the wedding. This was just another example of Shauna making everything so easy. Because of the high amount of trust I'd developed with Shauna throughout the planning process, I was 100% comfortable with turning all of the setup over to her and her team on the day of, without any worry whatsoever. The result was getting to walk into our wedding venue and relishing in the moment of seeing everything we'd been dreaming of come to life. We cannot thank Shauna and her team enough for everything they did to make our day incredible!
Shauna and her team made our wedding day stress-free and made it the most fantastic day of our lives. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for great help in planning their wedding. The planning process with ARay of Events was seamless and had everything we needed. All of our questions were answered and coordinating with all the vendors was made easy. I used aRay of Events for wedding planning and worked with Kaitlin since I am from Southeast MO. She was the best!!!! From the beginning, Kaitlin helped me plan all the details and made every step of the process less stressful. She was so easy to work with. If I told her my idea, she would come back with options or vendors for me to choose from. She was able to use some of the resources from St. Louis that we do not have in SEMO. As far as the day of the wedding, everything was perfect!! Kaitlin and her team stayed late and set up the entire reception the night before. If there was any kind of hiccup the day of, she made sure it was taken care of and that I didn't have anything to worry about! Our wedding day was truly perfect and I don't think I could have put it all together without Kaitlin and her team. I highly recommend using aRay of Events!
ARay of Events made my wedding day completely stress-free. I can’t recommend them enough!! From beginning to end, I was able to be present in the day because I knew I had a team of people handling everything for me. From creating the timeline, communicating with vendors, keeping us on time, setting up and breaking down decor, and everything in between, I am so grateful for this company and their amazing impact they had on the special day! Shauna and her team made our day the perfect, less stressful time we could’ve ever hoped to have. From the beginning setting up venue tours, always being available to answer my numerous questions at any time and down to the week of preparation with lots of reminder emails. The day of went so smoothly we did not have to lift a finger to decorate any aspect of our ceremony, cocktail hour or reception and afterwards she had all of our decorations, gifts, cake all packaged up in our rooms. Her team was an absolutely necessity to have our day go so smooth especially in coordinating with our other vendors.
Shauna and her team (shout out Taylor and Chris) were absolutely indispensable for our day. Shauna brought our vision to life when we changed venues (we switched from an outdoor venue to indoor - she was even able to source us trees at a reasonable price!)
Shauna took the time to meet with me several times to make sure we had everything right. And when some things inevitably went sideways - out of her teams control (i.e. our bakery never made our sheet cakes/delivered them) - her team stepped up and figured out solutions. In fact, I didn't even know until a few days after our wedding!
Shauna truly went out of her way to make sure no ask of ours was too big and on the day-of her team was there for anything us, or our families, needed. I could not recommend Shauna and her team more highly!
Janise and Kaitlyn were so, so amazing on my wedding day! They took care of literally everything and I had no stress at all! Everything came together to beautifully!! I would 10/10 recommend them to anyone getting married!!
Definitely book aRay of Events if available for your event. We managed to get Shauna & crew for our March 2023 wedding, and I’m so glad we did. The team decorated the venue beautifully and two coordinators—Janise and Dax—stayed to work throughout the reception. I highly recommend this company for its expertise & professionalism & exceptional service. They are the best!

Shauna and Meghan took all of my wedding planning and managed the moving parts, timeline and details on our big day. I didn't want to be interrupted with questions all day. I didn't want to clean up the reception hall. I also didn't want our moms to be bothered or have a list of duties throughout the day.
Our day was PERFECT and so much of this is due to Shauna's team. From the light curtain/pipe and drape combo at our reception to transporting items from getting ready to ceremony to reception they do it all. Most importantly to me as the bride, I didn't have to worry about anything - Shauna and Meghan had it all covered. When the last song ended at our reception, many of our family turned and were ready to start cleaning up, much to their surprise it was completely done already and we were able to walk out and head home!
We cannot recommend and thank this amazing team enough.

These ladies were SO GREAT! I am a little type A and had a detailed schedule of how I wanted the day to go. The dream team not only executed to perfection, but also helped up with the challenges we had with one of our vendors and ran a lot of interference. They were also very on top of making sure my husband and I got to try some of the apps while we were taking family photos, the decor was set up exactly as envisioned, and they handled all of the year down the end of the night was a breeze!

Having wedding experts at our ceremony made it go like clockwork, and I was so thankful we had someone there that knew when to direct people down the aisle, when to get everyone lined up, and to provide photography inspiration.
My husband and I were super nervous about getting our greenery, vases, and floating candles set up (as well as other aspects of the reception), and aRay of Events took care of everything and made our reception venue look absolutely stunning. I’m pretty sure I screamed when I saw everything set up! It was everything I had envisioned and more! And, at the end of the night, they cleaned everything up and packed it up for us, so it was easy to transport the day after. It made enjoying our wedding night so much easier and took a ton of stress off our shoulders!
Working with Shauna throughout the planning process was also great! I was very nervous in the months leading up to the wedding, and she would constantly reassure me and help my nerves. She gave me tons of lists and great information to help keep me on track throughout the planning process. She also helped me set up a timeline and answered all of the many questions I had. I felt very guided throughout this process, all while making sure our wedding had everything my husband and I wanted.
Overall, my husband and I are so, so thankful for Shauna, Meghan, and Sarah, and we could not have had such a perfect day without them!! You will not regret hiring them to help with any event you’re planning!
aRay of events helped me plan the timeline leading up to the day of our wedding and they were such a great help on the day of. They set up our venue centerpieces and another coordinator helped me with anything I needed that day. So grateful that I booked them!

Carrie, Shauna and Meghan were wonderful to work with. I could not have pulled off the day of my wedding without them. They helped coordinate with all my vendors, did all the set up and take down, filled my drinks and made me a dinner plate so I was sure to eat. They cut the cake, pinned boutonnières, and gave me all kinds of advice and tips. The list goes on. They did anything I needed or asked. Very friendly and professional. I knew my day would be perfect and trusted they would pull it off, and they did. I highly recommend aRay of Events!
We hired a day-of-coordinator from aRay of Events for our wedding and worked with Courtney (DOC) and Meghan (assistant). They were able to travel to Hermann, MO and Courtney even attended the rehearsal the day before. I cannot say enough good things about them. Everything went off without a hitch and I wasn't even aware of most of the set-up they were doing. I got so many compliments on how well planned my wedding was. We filled out a few google docs with details for what we expected on the day and had one quick zoom meeting a week prior to the wedding. They helped coordinate vendors, set-up decor, run the ceremony, remind us of vendor payments, and clean up after the reception. At my request, they even packed up my car at the end of the night with any take-home items, which was so awesome. They were 100% worth it and I definitely recommend hiring them.
ARay of Events was amazing to work with. I was hesitant on if I needed a day of coordinator & I absolutely did. Shauna was there to answer all my questions leading up to the wedding & her team was there until the very end of the reception packing up all the decor, flowers, food & loading up anything else they could help with in the cars. She reached out to me several weeks prior to discuss the details of our wedding, we then spoke once on the phone, and then met briefly before the rehearsal. She took my plans and ran with them - making our event so much better than we could have ever imagined.
Shauna is organized, professional, prepared and well-versed in what it takes to execute a perfect wedding day. She worked flawlessly with our venue and vendors. She conducted our wedding rehearsal in a relaxed and organized way, made sure everyone was where they needed to be and on time, set up our reception space, and kept the entire reception on timeline. She also oversaw the clean up and packing of our reception space.
As a very busy couple, planning a semi-destination wedding with many loved ones traveling long distances to celebrate with us, we were definitely concerned about our details coming together the way we envisioned. Our biggest desire for the weekend was for everyone to be able to enjoy time with each other in a city we love. Shauna made this possible. We were able to enjoy our weekend and wedding day with complete peace of mind because of her expertise and professionalism.
