This past May, we had our wedding at the Howey Mansion and the catering/service we experienced from Arthur’s was nothing short of exquisite. From start to finish, the process of selecting dinner options, scheduling our tasting/meetings, and dec...iding on plates/linens/cutlery was streamlined and simple. Our contact, Lori, was phenomenal in ensuring that our meetings were timely, gathered all of the necessary information, and created a fabulous experience for my husband and I.
Arthur’s hospitality was evident during our in-person meetings at their building in Altamonte Springs, where we met with Lori. As our car pulled in, there was a designated parking space for us with our names and welcoming us. During our meeting we were offered beverages including any custom drinks and when we left we were graciously given delicious, freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies. As our planner (Fortuna Events Miami) resided about 4 hours away, we were able to schedule a Zoom meeting with her and our contact at their facility so we could decide on wedding details and cover any necessary information. During our next visit, we had a wonderful tasting for our hors d’oeuvres and dinner menu. The chef brought out each dish and gave us an informative description of them. Every dish was so fresh and flavorful. With Lori’s help we were able to craft a menu that would excite guests and put a spin on ordinary wedding food fare. For the event, we also purchased a 5-hour open bar and were able to select bride and groom signature cocktails.
For our wedding day, our menu included the following:
Starters - Southern lump crab cakes, seasonal ceviche, brie and blackberry bites, and pesto chicken flatbread.
Salad - Citrus Caprese Salad.
Buffet Entree - Carved Garlic Rubbed Flank Steak, Almond Crusted Tomato Risotto Cakes, Roasted cauliflower and carrots.
Chef Inspired Station - Agnolotti Stack (3 cheese ravioli with gorgonzola cream sauce).
I was always told from family & friends that usually the bride and groom will be so busy during the reception that they won’t be able to enjoy the food. That was the furthest thing from our experience. While the bridal parties and families were outside taking photographs, wait staff came outside with the starters during the cocktail hour to ensure that we were fed. As soon as my husband and I had completed our dances and had taken a seat, our sweetheart table already had plates with all of the starters on them. Soon after, the waiters brought us each our signature cocktails and ensured throughout the evening that we were taken care of. Even when we were whisked away to take photographs outside before sunset and had not really eaten any of our entrees, the staff brought us out hot and new food that we could enjoy when we returned. As we departed for the evening, we were also gifted with extra to-go containers of extra buffet items to take with us. We would definitely recommend Arthur’s to anyone for a wedding or any kind of event!
