Missie with Asheville Event Co went WAY above and beyond to help make our daughter's and SIL's wedding spectacular. She thought of every single tiny detail, planned and followed through on all of it. What a fantastic weekend it was! Even when things went very wrong, (through no fault of her own - there was a terrible lightning storm at ceremony time) she juggled it all beautifully and helped walk us through the back-up plan. I can't tell you all the tiny details both in planning and in execution of the many weekend events that Missie and her crew helped to make perfect. The only way to have made it better is if she could have controlled the weather! I would be happy to recommend her for any event.
Becca helped create the wedding of our dreams! We hired Becca for our September 2022 wedding. She was very detail-oriented and connected to amazing vendors in the Western NC area. We could not have asked for a better wedding planner, she was kind, organized, a great planner, and helped us create a wonderful vision for the day, down to the smallest details. With Becca, wedding planning was stress free. Cannot recommend her highly enough!
It was a pleasure working with Jyl to plan our wedding! Her organized, friendly, and calm nature were exactly what we needed. Since we had a destination wedding, it was incredibly beneficial to collaborate with a seasoned wedding planner in the Asheville area. We couldn’t have been happier hiring Jyl Deering from Asheville Event. She was incredible! Our daughter’s wedding was postponed in May 2020 due to COVID and rescheduled in May 2021 at The Farm of Old Edwards in Highlands. Jyl was with us every step of the way; from planning, rescheduling vendors and directing on the big day. We literally couldn’t have done it without her!
If you want someone who is very responsive, on top of every little detail and wants to make sure you’re totally satisfied then Jyl at Asheville Event is that person. We really loved working with Caroline @ Asheville Event Co. We started planning our wedding right before the pandemic happened. We honestly couldn't have done this without them. Caroline kept us updated about what was going on locally with restrictions and was so helpful when it came to planning. My husband and I are from Florida and planned on getting married in Asheville 10/10/2020. She is well connected with all the vendors in the area and was able to find out how the vendors would be operating during the pandemic. She also gave us ideas on how to reach out to our guests during the pandemic. We went from having around 120 guest to 50 people max because of the COVID restrictions.
She helped us secure our vendors and all of the details. She was very organized and pays attention to detail. I was able to relax and have fun the day of my wedding because I knew/trusted Caroline had it all under control. It even rained for part of my wedding and she had umbrellas already on hand just in case we needed them. She planned for the rain and honestly the venue was beautiful. We didn't even notice the rain because the transition from the Reception tent to the Barn was planned out. Nothing was out of place.

My husband and I would not have been able to pull off our wedding without Becca. Becca was there for us every step of the way – from our original plan to get married in May 2020 with 250+ people, to what ended up being a small intimate gathering with close family and friends in Sept 2020. She helped us navigate every twist and turn in a very tumultuous wedding planning environment and provided necessary guidance on the current landscape. She has a wealth of knowledge based on her extensive network within in the wedding community which proved invaluable. Becca was rock for us when we needed it the most.
Becca is not only organized, hardworking and flexible, but also has incredible relationships with all of the vendors in the NC mountains, which made planning a breeze. She was able to work with all of the vendors to negotiate new contracts throughout every change of plans. She handled everything with such grace and confidence - we never felt stressed or uneasy because we knew Becca had everything under control!
On the day of the wedding, Becca was basically like a family member to us. She was calm, kind, and organized – keeping everything going behind the scenes without us even knowing! Our small intimate wedding could not have been more perfect, and we owe it all to Becca. We would highly recommend her services if you are getting married in the NC area. She is a rockstar!
Anyone who has been involved with a wedding in 2020 understands the chaos that comes from Covid - 19. Becca Knuth, with AEC, joined our family wedding team in 2019 when the original wedding date was May 2020. Trusting Becca's expertise and instincts, we moved the wedding to September 2020. Several iterations of the wedding occurred during those few months: 300 ppl to 75ppl to 30ppl. We truly worked as a team to find what felt right for our family - especially, the bride and groom. Becca was patient, caring and always brought a calm and can-do attitude. So much was out of our control, but we felt in control with Becca on our team! The end result was over the top and better than we could ever have imagined.

Due to Covid restrictions, my daughter’s large wedding, scheduled for the NC mountains in August 2020, was cancelled and rescheduled for August of 2021. Up until that decision was made, we had been working with Becca at Asheville Event Company, and everything was on track. Becca recommended all of the vendors, from the venue, to the invitations. (My daughter knew the area where she wanted to get married, but we were not familiar with the local vendors.) Her availability, cooperation, and attention to detail were unparalleled.
The good news is that my daughter and her fiancé went ahead with a small wedding at our home on the SC coast on her original 2020 date. Only immediate family was invited due to Covid, so it was very small. We again hired Becca to help with this small wedding. She was phenomenal. Every detail was thought of, discussed, and implemented. Becca was available the entire weekend to coordinate with all of the vendors (almost all of which were recommended by her). When I first told my friends that we were doing a “small” wedding at home, the first thing they said was, “Be SURE to have a planner.” They were 1000% correct and I could not be happier with how it turned out. Luckily for us, we have the “big” wedding still ahead next year, so we will continue to work with Becca to iron out all of the details for that. I have full confidence in her, and can honestly say I cannot imagine using anyone else. If you are considering Asheville Event Company for your wedding planning, I cannot recommend them, and particularly Becca, enough.
Caroline of Asheville Event Co is amazing! She responded to all our e-mails very quickly during the planning process. She is very detail oriented and organized - she had our wedding under control. We did not have to worry about anything! Everything during our wedding night ran so smoothly. Caroline did a great job!! We highly recommend her and Asheville Event Co!
We used Asheville Event Co. for our summer wedding in Laguna Beach, CA. Our wedding planner, Becca Knuth went above and beyond, exceeding all expectations. She is extremely organized, making sure we completed tasks well before deadlines. She is always one step ahead, thinking of little details we could never dream of. She's very personable, and helped manage relationships w/ the venue, vendors and family members. Becca did such an amazing job for our wedding! My wife and I were so impressed by every aspect of her services, from finding the vendors to keeping everything organized to giving us recommendations. The reception venue for our daughter’s wedding required that we hire a professional event planner and recommended Asheville Event Company. Becca, the owner of Asheville Event Company, helped me determine what level of assistance we needed and connected us with one of her planners, Cortney Jackson. I cannot say enough good things about Cortney, her professionalism, organizational abilities and fabulous personality. Cortney helped guide us through the maze of vendors that had to be chosen and reserved ASAP, arranged meetings with various vendors and took care of all the minutiae that is part of planning and orchestrating a wedding over the course of eleven months. As an experienced planner, her ideas (whether creative or logistical) were outstanding. Cortney’s calm demeanor, sweet excitement, and unassuming approach through every interaction were the reassurance we needed during the process to feel confident about the final product - that everything would go well! - all the way through the wedding day. Without her, the whole wedding weekend (destination wedding) would not have been the awesome, beautiful celebration that it was!
Caroline was so amazing to work with and made the entire process so much easier! We are so glad we had her! We ran into a couple of problems with the venue and she immediately stepped in and took care of it, always making sure we got what we wanted. She was extremely helpful in keeping us on track with deadlines and was amazing on the day of! Everyone loved her and she made the entire process run smoothly! We would highly recommend Caroline for any couple getting married in the Asheville area! She is seriously the sweetest!

Missie and the Asheville Event Co. were absolutely wonderful in helping us plan our Wedding weekend! They worked with us through the entire planning process and served as our day-of-coordinator as well. Missie was our event planner throughout the entire year and a half we were engaged. We had the had the best wedding anyone could ask for. I interviewed several wedding planners and as soon as I spoke with Becca I knew she was the best choice. It was clear to me that Becca had the experience and an unparalleled familiarity with Asheville and our wedding venue. The whole process from planning to the day of our wedding was smooth and enjoyable. She did an amazing job pairing me up with vendors that matched my budget and style. She was very responsive, patient, and fun to work with!
What a talented team! We reached out to Becca and her team only 3 months before our big day (we wanted a quick engagement!). She and her team were amazingly responsive and understood what we expected for our wedding. On top of that, she helped us plan the event at my grandmother's house, which was not incredibly conducive to a reception. I’m so happy and thrilled Asheville Event Co. was able to pull off our wedding in such short time, and with such attention to detail. Everything was spectacular - from the rehearsal dinner, the bridal suite, the vendor referrals, the impeccable planning and forethought, and completely calm and friendly through it all! We were definitely a high maintenance couple/family to deal with, but Becca displayed only patience and flexibility while working with us. Asheville Event Co brought my dream wedding to reality! As a destination bride having someone local in the area was critical. Becca knew all the ins and outs of my venue as well as the best vendors. Becca was extremely responsive and kept me on track, inspired and more importantly calm. I had a unique goal of incorporating rose gold into my decor and Becca searched long and hard to find all the right rose gold touches. Sarah was in the bridal room with my on wedding day and was the most calming and reassuring person! The whole team is experienced, considerate and friendly. I had not a worry in the world about planning a 150 person destination wedding because I knew Asheville Event Co was on top of everything!
Planning a wedding is HARD. I was already feeling stressed to the max when I met with Caroline for the first time. But after our meeting, I felt a wave of reassurance that everything would be perfect in the end. Can you plan a wedding on your own? Of course you can. Was it worth every penny to have Caroline on my team? ABSOLUTELY! From answering all of my totally random questions, to making a timeline for the day, making sure all of the vendors were where they were supposed to be when they were supposed to be there and doing what they were supposed to be doing. Helping to setup our venue space, and picking up afterwards. I could go on and on for days with just how much she helped us throughout this entire process. In the end, I don't think I could have done it without her. Every detail was perfect, and without Caroline to oversee everything, I would have stressed the entire day and not been able to enjoy my day to the fullest. I would hire Caroline and AECo over and over again. Thank you for making sure our day was everything we wanted it to be and more!

How fortunate we were to have Becca Knuth at Asheville Event Company as our daughter’s wedding coordinator. Becca was exceptional and attentive to every detail from planning, negotiating with vendors, managing contracts and budget. She planned our meetings with the venue, chef, florists, baker, hair and makeup artist. All the meetings were so helpful for our daughter to make final decisions. I have been so blessed to have found Missie. From our first chat , I didn't even look for another option for a wedding planner. We had our wedding at the Biltmore Estate, and it was a completely enjoyable process. I loved every second of wedding planning with Missie and my mom, and with Sarah, Missie's assistant. These ladies, and AEC, are amazing at what they do, and they are such a class act. They handled everything from scheduling, emailing of the wedding party... We produced the fairytale wedding I have always dreamed of, and I couldn't have imagined a better Wedding Planner. Missie is so easy to talk to, and we just worked so well together. I firmly believe I left the wedding planning process with not only a magnificent event, but also a friend, and there's nothing anyone could want more than that! Liz was our day of coordinator and an absolutely fabulous one at that. From the minute we had our first meeting, we were in sync with one another. Since I am a detail oriented individual, I was nervous about finding a 'day of' that was on the same page. Liz, exceeded all of my expectations and nailed every subtle nuance that we pictured for our wedding. She is kind, patient, creative and mindful of the needs of not only the Bride and Groom, but everyone present. It takes a truly wonderful person to manage the ever-moving parts of a wedding day and Liz is unequivocally that person. I absolutely recommend her to anyone in search of a spectacular planner.
Melissa (Missie) at Asheville Event Company helped us with our January 2, 2016 wedding in Highlands, North Carolina and she was absolutely wonderful! My daughter was engaged in June, so we had a pretty short planning time and Missie kept us on schedule with all of the decisions that needed to be made. She did a fantastic layout at the wedding and worked with the florist to create a beautiful and unique decor at our venue. She was supportive and an absolute doll to work with. AEC helped create truly memorable welcome bags and oversaw all of the details on the wedding weekend. Their interface with the vendors was very helpful! Truly, all of my friends said that they couldn't believe how relaxed I was on the wedding weekend, and I owe that all to Missie. Hiring AEC was one of the best decisions we made, and I cant imagine what life would have been like without them!!!
Liz was a breath of fresh air throughout the whole process. I needed someone who could guide me through the process and deal with the vendors as I selected them. She was hands on when I needed, and always an email away. Being from the area she has great knowledge on many vendors and that helped make decisions easy. Plus, she is a great human being and we had a ton of fun working with her!!!
Hands down best decision I made was to work with Becca Knuth at Asheville Event Co. on our destination wedding in Asheville. From the moment I spoke with Becca while interviewing several wedding planners, she impressed with her knowledge, her honesty and directness, and her professionalism. Becca was prompt in all her communications, both email and phone. She helped me keep sane by narrowing down vendor choices to 3-5 for us to choose from, worked hard to negotiate with vendors to keep within our budget, and added such wonderful design and personal touches to our wedding (apples for guests to take at the end of the night, birdcage for cards, etc). Becca handled the high stress level of my mother with such thoughtfulness and care -- I literally can't thank her enough! Becca is so organized, wonderful to work with, and just a lovely person. We were so lucky to work with her!
We are not local, and Becca planned our backyard wedding up in the hills of East Asheville and she was spectacular. In addition to being super nice and very responsive to the (many, many, many) emails that we sent her, she put on an amazing wedding for us while being mindful of our budget. She was super friendly and flexible, she found us amazing vendors even when we weren't even sure what we wanted, and did multiple site visits to make sure the property could be used for a wedding. And she was so much fun! Becca is incredibly friendly, organized, and best of all completely relaxed on the day of. We had a few minor mishaps, and she handled them calmly. I've been at some weddings where the planner is harried or even snaps at guests, and this will not happen with Asheville Event Co. They put on a beautiful wedding for us, and even ordered a surprise gift to be left in our hotel room for after! I am so happy that we chose to work with Becca, as she truly made our wedding special. They also went above and beyond several times by providing us with random things we needed, allowing us to ship tons of (heavy!) packages to them for use in the wedding, and returning the kegs for us after the wedding was over. We had an amazing experience with Becca, and I truly think we got a better experience than many other planners offered for a much more reasonable cost. Becca was more than worth it, and she's so nice! You will not regret hiring Asheville Event Co.
Asheville Event Company handled my wedding flawlessly. Melissa is extremely professional, organized, and pleasant. We had many "moving parts" to our two day wedding experience and she worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect. Oh my goodness, I have to tell you that Becca Knuth of Asheville Event Co. was the most wonderful wedding planner ever!! She was absolutely incredible to work with in every way. I say she was part therapist/part wedding planner. She was able to work with all the different personalities of the families just beautifully - offering great advice and ideas to everyone.
Not only is Becca creative, but she is a master of logistics. Every detail of my daughter's wedding was perfect. Becca thought of everything!!! We had a January wedding in the wintery mountains of Highlands, NC which was a challenge to say the least. We could never have pulled off such a fantastic wedding without Becca. My husband said it was the best money we ever spent!!

From start to finish, the year I spent with Becca planning my wedding was fantastic. Becca immediately put me at ease during our first conversation and we had so much fun together throughout the year of planning. Along the way she helped recommend vendors she felt would best fit my budget/style of the wedding, helped me form my overall vision for the wedding, and dealt with all the nitty gritty details so I didn't have to.
Becca not only met expectations, but went above and beyond to give me and my now husband our dream wedding. She helped keep me organized (and on budget) throughout the planning process and made it so we had absolutely nothing to do the day of except enjoy the fabulous day with our friends and family. Even my dad, who initially thought the extra expense wasn't needed agreed Becca and team were worth every penny.

wow! liz was amazing! i had her as my "day of" planner but her work started well before! i am a little type A and knowing that she was making sure i had everything taken care of and that she was there for the final execution made the day and week a total breeze! i didn't worry about a thing and was able to fully enjoy every single moment! i cannot recommend them enough! thank you liz!!!
Becca and Asheville Event Co. were amazing! We planned our destination wedding entirely from another state without being able to visit beforehand. While it was a small event, we only had about 4 months to plan and Becca was amazingly on top of things! She recommended all of the vendors and even did site visits for us since we couldn't see the area ourselves prior. We were so pleased with the way our event turned out and we could not have done it without Becca and Asheville Event Co.'s help.
I should have written this months ago after our July wedding, but better late than never! When we got engaged last November we knew we did not want to wait too long to get married so we decided on a July wedding at the Biltmore without having been to the Biltmore or even Asheville. Asheville Event Company was on the preferred vendor list and the best decision we made was hiring them.
Becca was literally a life saver! Neither of us knew anything about weddings and planning it from a distance did not sound like fun, but Becca and Sarah made it simple and as stress free as possible. Becca recommended all of our vendors and we could not have asked for a better team around us for our wedding. My mom said it best a month after the wedding when she said "I just realized that I woke up the morning of your wedding, got my hair and make up done, had lunch, then just got dressed and went to the wedding. I didn't have to worry about anything except having a good time. That was the best feeling!" And she was right, Asheville Event Company made sure everything was perfect. If it was possible to hire Becca to plan all of my life events birthdays, holiday parties, friends baby showers, etc. I would do it in a heartbeat!

Becca Knuth was so amazing to work with. From start to finish. She was thorough, experienced and so much fun! I think we (as in my mother and I) enjoyed working with her SO much we made the extra effort to visit Asheville more than probably was even necessary throughout the past year!! The wedding turned out to be such a special and spectacularly planned day. So blessed and thankful to of had the opportunity to work with Asheville Event Co.
I live in Boston, so I was a bit nervous about trying to plan my Biltmore wedding out of state. I did a lot of research and found nothing but glowing reviews and recommendations for Asheville Event Co. and Becca in particular. She is extremely responsive and is always very clear in her answers, easy to reach via e-mail and willing to Skype/call/meet in person etc. She also has a great list of preferred vendors and has wonderful relationships with all of them, she knew exactly who to suggest for my vision/style/budget and did the majority of the vendor coordination for me.
Becca has an amazingly calm demeanor and took every bit of stress from me. She was able to help with last minute details and changes effortlessly (or so it seemed from my end). My wedding day was truly perfect, if there were issues or slip-ups I certainly was kept out of it, everything flowed seamlessly and smoothly throughout the night. Becca was present the whole day & night but only seemed to appear when she was needed.
I honestly can't say enough nice things about Asheville Event Company. I have seen other wedding/event planners through various friends' weddings and have never come across someone as calm, professional and genuinely nice as Becca. Many people remarked at how calm I seemed in the weeks leading up to my wedding and again on the actual day, I owe this all to Becca.

My daughter Danielle attended college in NC and now lives in Boston. I live in South Florida, so you can imagine my hesitation when my daughter selected Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC for her wedding. We immediately knew we could not make her dream destination wedding a reality without a wedding planner. Danielle interviewed planners from the Biltmore's recommended vendor list and knew after her first conversation with Becca that she was her choice.
We couldn't have been happier with Becca's responsiveness, expertise, understanding, and calm, collaborative approach both during the year of planning as well as on the day of the wedding. Danielle's wedding was perfect to the smallest of details. The wedding day was managed beautifully and all went exactly as Danielle had hoped.
What impressed me most on the wedding day was the way Becca seemed to effortlessly make everything happen. Rain threatened to cancel our hopes for dancing under the stars on the open-air courtyard dance floor and although we had a tent on standby, Becca made the decision not to put it up. What a great decision that turned out to be. The rain stayed away and we were able to dance the night away under the stars and moon.
Everything about Danielle's wedding was perfect. It isn't often that a bride says she wouldn't have changed one thing about her day. It was truly a perfect day and now a cherished memory.

Becca was recommended to us by the events staff at our venue, Lonesome Valley, in Cashiers, NC. After speaking with her just once, I stopped calling to consult with other planners and I'm so happy that I did. She turned my vision for an intimate ceremony and elegant reception into a reality, and even though I'd been involved in every decision along the way, it felt like a dream come true when it all came together. Every last detail, and there were a lot of them, was perfectly in place.
We owe the flawless execution on the night of the wedding to Becca, and she ran the show without ever being noticed by our guests. Yet somehow, anytime we needed something, she was magically by our side to help. We were able to enjoy every moment of our wedding because Becca took care of everything.
Most importantly for me, Becca was a wonderful partner during the entire planning process. As a bride planning an out-of-state wedding, she made the experience enjoyable rather than stressful. She encouraged my vision and ideas from the beginning, she connected me with outstanding vendors in the area, and was always accessible and responsive. Frankly, now that the wedding is over, I miss talking to her!

My fiance and I knew with planning a destination wedding in Asheville that having a planner would be important to the process. Little did we know just how vital this vendor would be. From the first conversation on the phone with Becca, I instantly felt at ease, particularly because her company had tons of experience with our chosen venue/caterer. The planning process was a breeze with her at the reigns. When one of our transportation vendors went under midway through our engagement, Becca swooped in and saved the day. For most couples, this would have been a HUGE stress point, but luckily we had Becca and we experienced ZERO stress.
The weekend of the wedding was when AEC's presence was truly felt. There were tons of planned logistics behind our wedding and Becca & Liz handled it all. To name a few, of many, tasks they also handled: they sewed a split seam on a bridesmaid's dress, they fixed a groomsmen's boutonniere, they got the groom allergy medicine (and this was all of the UNPLANNED stuff that just popped up).
They worked behind the scenes tirelessly, allowing us, our families and friends to all actually be guests at the wedding! From the ceremony rehearsal all the way through our grand exit on Saturday evening, the time absolutely flew by. If we had not had Becca & Liz there, I'm certain we would not have been able to enjoy each fleeting moment as much as we did. It was the best day of our lives and a lot of that credit should go to Becca and Asheville Event Company! Book them. You'll regret it if you don't.
Cortney at Asheville Event Co was a dream to work with. She was very organized and had every detail worked out so there wasn't any surprises or decisions to be made on the wedding day. She was very calm and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend her to anyone planning a wedding.

We worked with Cortney at Asheville Event Company for our wedding, and she was absolutely amazing! I knew I wanted a coordinator for day-of so that my wife and I wouldn't have to worry about all of the details. What I didn't know was how amazing it would be to A) work with Cortney and B) know I could trust all of the coordination to her. I'm a project manager, and a bit of an overplanner, so it was important to me that things went smoothly. But Cortney was superb. From the moment she started working with us, she listened to what we wanted to do (which was a little different than normal since it included a trolley travelling around Asheville for wedding photos) and helped us make everything happen on time. No one wants to be stressed out on their wedding day, and there may be some things that will stress you out anyway, but if you work with Cortney and Asheville Event Company, day of coordination definitely won't be one of them!
We got married in Highlands, NC. Becca with Asheville Event Co. was our day of planner. We were referred to her by several people in Highlands, which is always a good sign. I'm pretty sure we couldn't have found anyone more perfect for us.
I was a very hands-on bride. I'm a designer, so I handled a huge amount of the wedding planning and design myself, so much so that I'm sure it would have stressed out the average planner. Most of them seem to need to always be in charge, but Becca never once questioned my decisions. She was the most perfect guide to helping me create the most magical wedding ever. I'm VERY picky and made most of the vendor selections myself, but when I wasn't sure, Becca always had a great vendor list to offer. She kept me on track and was always easy to reach. She was very patient and never appeared to be nervous, but more importantly, she is just a nice person to deal with. This is key when considering that your planner will have to deal with all sorts of personalities from families in addition to all the wedding vendors (and believe me, those vendors can have some BIG personalities!)
With all that, what impressed me most about Becca were the things I didn't even notice at the wedding but that occurred to me after the fact. She really listened to me. She took care of issues before I even knew they were there. She made it so that our families were able to relax, have fun and really enjoy the night. She was always there when we needed her, but she was still behind the scenes (not one of those wedding planners who is in all the pictures standing right beside the bride and groom). Our wedding wouldn't have been nearly as perfect without Becca, and I'm just so happy everything worked out the way it did. I would recommend anyone to her.

We simply cannot thank Becca enough for her help with our wedding. I can't help but look back on our day and smile. It was so great to be able to relax knowing that Becca and her team were taking care of everything. We have received so many compliments on the wedding and we couldn't have done it without Becca and all of our great vendors. Becca's recommendations, suggestions, and support in general were priceless. My husband and I felt from the first time we spoke with Becca that she was the right fit for us and our wedding. Now, getting to know her, she was the perfect fit and such an asset. Becca was absolutely the best person to help us with our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. She is has the amazing combination of being one of the most organized people that I know while being one of the most layed-back. It is indeed the most perfect combination. While we did much of the planning ourselves, there was nothing that she didn't consider in the process. Every thought or word we uttered was carefully heard and carried out. Her assistant Caroline helped us as well before, during and following the ceremony as well as at the reception, and she was wonderful! Melissa was just WONDERFUL - I can't say enough about how terrific it was to work with her. She made the experience, which could very well have been stressful, so very special for my daughter. Even though Melissa is well known throughout the region for being one of the best of the best, she absolutely let my daughter (who knew exactly what she wanted) make all the decisions - never once trying to impose her opinions on the bride. She was always happy to offer her opinion, but never tried to give the impression that she knew better based on her knowledge and experience. She was always thoughtful and caring, letting the bride know if she was ever going to be away or out of touch for any length of time. At both the rehearsal and the wedding, she was sensitive to last minutes needs, and made it all happen ... what a true gift! I would, and already have, recommend Melissa and Asheville Event Company, to anyone. I have two other daughters, and just hope that when they marry, they will marry in Asheville so that we can use Melissa again!
I worked with Becca from the Asheville Event Co. to plan my destination wedding at the Farm at Old Edwards Inn in Highlands, NC. At first I was one of those bride's who originally thought planning a wedding would be a easy-peasy and that hiring someone to look after the "details" was simply a waste of money. Ha! I hadn't even booked my venue before I began to realize how wrong I was... Stressed out and already overwhelmed by the process of booking all of my vendors I began to consider help. Luckily for me, I was referred to the Asheville Event Co. by the wedding coordination staff at the Old Edwards Inn. Looking back I can honestly say that my wedding would not have been the same without her. Becca went above and beyond every step of the way. From helping me find the perfect cake, to decor recommendations, to making sure I was walking down the aisle right on cue, she made it happen! She allowed me to relax and enjoy my big day because I trusted that she would manage everything to my expectations. Becca was amazing to work with and an upmost professional whose vast experience shows through in her work. My husband and I (and both our families) owe AEC the world for making the most special day of our lives a complete dream come true. I so enjoyed working with Missy on every detail of the entire weekend, but moreover enjoyed becoming friends. She truly became a member of our family over the past year and we honestly could not have had the wedding weekend we did (especially with me living in NY, my parents in GA and our venue in WNC) without her passion, hard work, personality, kind-heartedness, and understanding when we came to her with an off the wall crazy idea (like making it snow in NC in June, for example). From the first email to Asheville event co I knew we'd be in good hands. Becca was absolutely amazing from day 1. Easy to get in touch with and to talk to. I really didn't have a dream wedding in mind and she really helped me and my husband develop our "vision" and turn it into reality. Not just giving us ideas but helping us figure out what we wanted. From picking out vendors, keeping budget in mind, to ideas for gift bags for the guests. After meeting me for the first time, and seeing my insanely out of control hair, she made sure to find a stylist who would be able to handle it. Not only did she make all the decision making easy, she kept us so calm throughout the entire process.
Being a destination wedding (we're from NYC), I've only met Becca 3 times in person total, but I trust her as if we've known each other for years. Our family and friends are still talking about how it was the best wedding they've been to and it's all because of Becca and Asheville Event Co.
I have 2 full-time careers and wanted a super detailed vegan and gluten-free wedding; I could not have planned the wedding without Becca's help and decision making. Admittedly I was hesitant on if I wanted a wedding planner or even needed one for my wedding this past spring. In hindsight, I’m not sure what I was thinking?! We could not have planned/executed our wedding without the help of AEC! Becca was so easy to work with and took care of every detail—especially during the weekend itself. Since we live away from home, having someone local to tend to all the details leading up to the weekend was also essential. Not only does AEC work with you and your ideas, they also give you fun ideas to work with (can someone say glow necklaces?!). Becca was an integral part of our wedding and our entire engagement period. Asheville Event Co. made our dream wedding and it was so much better than I'd imagined.
We worked with Becca, and she was great. Above all else, she's extremely professional. She is a pro at wedding planning and all of our vendors love working with her. She's also nice and has a good sense of humor, she's very easy to work with.
Becca planned a 200 guest wedding on the lawn of a church, so she had to coordinate lots of rentals to turn this into a reception venue.
The wedding went off without a hitch. Or I should say, if there was a hitch, I never knew about it. Even a month after the wedding, I've yet to hear that anything went wrong on our wedding day.
Several guests asked us at the wedding who our wedding planner was because they were so impressed with the reception. The wedding coordinator at the church, the priest, and the church sexton were all impressed by her work and enjoyed working with her.
And as the bride, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Asheville Event Company just made it all so easy. I don't live in Asheville, but it all worked out fine. My mom and I had an enjoyable experience planning the wedding because Becca and her staff did so much for us.
Becca was there all day the day before the wedding making sure the tent went up and reception was set up according to plan. The day of the wedding, Becca and her assistant were on top of every detail.
