Ashley Cox Photos

I am not super happy with the way my wedding day went with Ashley. I am not disappointed with the quality of her work, I think she's very talented but it felt like there was no direction or creativity on the day of. She barely spoke to me (the bride) or the groom. We were the ones giving her ideas on photos with the group or our families. She seemed not to have any interest in making our day easier at all. After the wedding was over and we got our photos back.. I noticed there were quite a few missing that I know were taken. I understand that not all photos turn out but there were photos with family that we wanted regardless. I emailed her about specific pictures and she stated she had surgery and would get back to me. Of course she never did. My mom reached out to her a few times for the pictures as well and her emails went unanswered. Overall, the only thing that could of improved our wedding day was having a better photographer. I would not work with her again

Ashley was great to work with throughout the entire planning process. She helped bring our timeline to life and was very good at calming my nerves on our wedding day! She truly went above and beyond to ensure we got everything we wanted, and more! As for quality- Wow! We love everything we got back, so thank you Ashley!

I was pretty disappointed with our entire experience with Ashley. As soon as I paid the deposit, she stopped responding to emails until about a month before the wedding. I emailed multiple times with important questions, like if I needed a permit for our photo location. She was on time for our wedding, and that is one of the few positive things I can say after being scared she would completely ghost us. She left the wedding without letting anyone know she was going and I am not sure if she actually stayed the entire contracted time. We never received a sneak preview of photos, like many other wedding photographers offer, in fact we received no communication until an Instagram post was made by Ashley promising our photos on August 16th (our wedding was June 22). When that date rolled around, I reached out to Ashley via email to let her know my husband's grandmother had been admitted to the hospital that morning with hours to days to live, and requested at a minimum, to have a few photos to show her before her imminent death. Ashley never responded to this email. My husband's grandmother passed away about a week later, having never seen our wedding photos after being unable to attend due to her health. I left comments on Ashley's Instagram photo, via DM, and finally received a response from a Facebook message that her computer broke but luckily the files were backed up and I should get my photos by the end of the week. Three weeks later, I finally received a link to view and download my photos. I was days away from filing in small claims, as she was about to run out the contractually allotted time to return photos (8-12 weeks in the document I signed). The quality of photos is average, it is clear Ashley is a relatively inexperienced photographer still getting a foothold in the wedding world. While there were a couple shots we love, we are overall disappointed with both the quantity and quality of the photography and editing. We only received 230 photos after hiring her for seven hours of shooting, and industry standard is generally around 400-600 photos. So we do feel a little ripped off by what we received, considering we paid nearly $2000. I question Ashley's experience with Photoshop and Lightroom, since a lot of the editing was very obvious, including the tell-tale "halos" that appear around people when highlights and shadows are over-adjusted. The quality of photographs that we received is nowhere near the quality displayed in her portfolio, causing me to think that sometimes she simply gets lucky with the shot. Overall, I am convinced there is much better value for the money, and combined with the lack of communication, I would strongly recommend that other couples avoid using Ashley for photography if you can in any way avoid it. If you must use her, do not have high hopes for the output. It's water under the bridge now and cannot be undone, but hiring Ashley is one of the only regrets I have from my wedding day.

Ashley is amazing!!! She does a wonderful job of making you feel comfortable while capturing incredible and candid moments. She is very prompt with her responses and does an amazing job of posting sneak peek photos of both engagement sessions and the wedding day. She posted three photos from the wedding day just three days later! I have absolutely no regrets hiring Ashley and will choose her time and time again for future photo sessions. We are in LOVE with our wedding pictures. Ashley has a true talent and a great eye for capturing the most special moments. She replies to your emails within hours- which is huge! She was so flexible and easy going throughout the process of coordinating our engagement pictures, planning our timeline for the wedding day, to doing some serious improvising when we got behind schedule the day of the wedding. She is so easy going, funny and sarcastic (which my husband loved). We will definitely be using Ashley for all of our special moments throughout the years. Thank you Ashley!
