Ashworth by the Sea

My Husband and I got married here back in May of 2021. It was by far the best thing we ever did! We had to replan our wedding 4 times due to covid and finally we found Ashworth by the Sea. From the moment we walked in and met with Eileen we both knew this is where we wanted to get married. The food was amazing the service was top notch! I wish I could relieve the day over and over! You guys rock!!!!

The first time we went to the Ashworth was probably a decade ago when we had tickets to a concert at the Hampton Beach Casino ballroom in April and wanted to stay in a hotel with a pool. We loved the hotel and completely fell in love with Hampton Beach. Ever since then we go to Hampton and stay at the Ashworth at least once, if not several times a year. We even got engaged on Hampton Beach. The beach is beautiful. The boardwalk is fun. There are lots of great restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Fast forward to our engagement and trying to figure out where to host our wedding reception. We wanted something beautiful and special but also within a reasonable budget. We were beyond thrilled to see that the Ashworth, a place so near and dear to us, was within our budget. We started planning in the summer of 2018 and selected a date in September 2020 for our wedding. Unfortunately, in the spring of 2020 we realized that with Covid numbers climbing, we weren't comfortable planning an event for close to 100 guests for September and started the process to postpone. With that, I am SO thankful for the flexibility of the Ashworth and the patience of Eileen Menard, the Sales and Catering manager because we were able to reschedule to a date in May of 2021 without issue. Then, when we realized in February of 2021 that it still didn't seem safe to host our reception we worked with them to postpone again. Planning a wedding is SO stressful and so overwhelming. Working with a venue that is truly there to help you have the wedding of your dreams despite very unusual circumstances is a game changer. Eileen was there for us every step of the way. She responded to my many questions in a timely manner and offered suggestions on vendors and setup. Our wedding reception was absolutely beautiful. We had our ceremony right on the beach directly across from the hotel. We had the option of having our cocktail hour in the ballroom, the rose room or on the patio area between the two buildings. We opted for the ballroom so that our guests didn't have to move to a different location for the meal. We were on a tight budget so we opted for the buffet option. Our guests absolutely raved about the food. I found that our guests really liked having the buffet because it allowed them to eat as much as they wanted of what foods they liked and some guests went for seconds. We had two guests with serious food allergies/restrictions and Eileen arranged for special meals for those two guests without issue. Since our reception ended at 9:30 I wanted to have something for guests after. Eileen helped us to arrange a reserved area in the Breakers bar and some pre-ordered appetizers. We really felt like the Ashworth offered everything we wanted. We loved having our ceremony on the beach. We loved that the Ashworth is a hotel and therefore our guests could stay on site and not have to worry about transportation if they were drinking. We felt well taken care of by Eileen and the staff. We absolutely love the Ashworth and looking forward to going there for vacations or quick getaways.

Eileen is absolutely the best! Our wedding is coming up and she has been so incredibly great and accommodating from the very beginning! They are working with us to create an entirely gluten free dinner and cocktail hour menu that also accommodates several vegetarians (including me), while still keeping the non-gluten free and meat eating crowd happy so they won’t even notice (including the groom). This is not easy to do but all of the food at our tasting was absolutely delicious (steak, grilled asparagus, mashed potatoes, celebration salad, GF pasta primavera, and amazing appetizers like spinach and cheese stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped scallops, bruschetta, and raw veg spring rolls, and chocolate covered strawberries) . The ballroom is really beautiful and we are excited to have our wedding oceanfront. Pretty much everything I’ve asked about has been accommodated and in a super friendly way. Eileen is making sure our guests all have rooms near each other and she’s really just so super helpful with everything. The prices are great and our hotel room is included the night of our wedding as well. Although the hotel rooms could use some updates, the ballrooms and lobby are really pretty. And you’ve got the ocean right there! Couldn’t recommend this venue any more!

This may be a dream come true for some people, but if you’re from the city expecting a beautiful coastal wedding don’t go here!!! They cater for a very unique crowd and the staff was rude. We had a very unpleasant experience even trying to get a first meeting with Camille to look at the venue. We drove 3.5 hrs and got a hotel room to plan our wedding at the Ashworth. Camille was 25 minutes late and we ended up waking out because the staff yelled at us since we went to look at the ballroom without the wedding planner with us. If you are looking for an upscale wedding by the beach, stay as far away from this place as you can.
