This space was amazing! We were able to have an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception all in the same location. Even better all of our guests could stay in the attached hotel, allowing all of our family and friends to stay close for the entire weekend. Lauri and her entire team were amazing from day one. Lauri responded via email or text anytime we had questions and was even there from start to finish on our wedding day! We can’t speak highly enough of how organized and amazing the staff was! The views of the capital and UT tower made this space even more special. Also, the space accommodated our large wedding of almost 200 people with no problem. The food was also a 5 star review! We did the curry in a hurry buffet and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how awesome the food was! I would recommended this location and their team to anyone!
Our wedding at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center was perfect! We had a 50-person wedding in the “Tejas Room” with great views of the UT tower and Capitol. As UT alumni the venue was the perfect choice to celebrate our marriage with family and friends. I’m so grateful for Lauri Taylor and her team! Lauri walked me through all the options and answered all of my many emails. She made sure our day went smoothly and everyone had great time. The food, drinks and service were exceptional. The wedding package provided took care of most of the wedding elements. I just brought the décor and cake to the “Tejas“ room. My guest could not stop talking about how perfect the day went, again, all thanks to Lauri and her staff. I’ll be forever grateful! Thank you!!
THE BEST DAY EVER!!
My husband and I began our journey in merriment at this venue in the fall of 2019. We are both long time employees of the University of Texas and this venue was just the right place to capture a part of our lives that means a lot to us. There are not enough words to describe how amazing our experience was with Lauri Taylor our even manager who was working with us through the whole experience. Even when we decided to postpone our wedding and gained another event manager for a short time we were still overjoyed with the service and care we received no matter what. Not only was this venue the full package with the ballrooms, courtyard, decor, food and beverage, but also included the hotel aspect for our guest all under one roof. Our wedding day was spectacular and beautiful to say the least. Lauri, her team, and the various hotel staff took care of us and our guest very well all weekend until the very end. We could not express how much fun we had as well. I could go on and on about how much I would recommend this establishment for events and lodging but there isn't nearly enough time. :) For now I thank the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center for everything you did in making our wedding THE BEST DAY EVER!
The Browns
2 years ago when my wife and I dedicated a weekend to tour possible wedding venues, we struck gold. The AT&T Hotel and Conference Center was our 1st stop. We were greeted by Lauri Taylor and she gave us an amazing tour. She was so down to Earth, personable, and extremely genuine. After the tour ended, I looked at my wife and we both said to each other, “this is the one! Let’s cancel the other tours!”.
2 years later and we made the right decision. With the complications of Covid, we had to postpone our wedding by a year. Lauri was always with us every step of the way. Lauri was always accommodating with a smile on her face. She made our wedding flawless and perfect.
To the higher ups at AT&T Hotel, please take some time to consider promoting Lauri and giving her a serious pay raise. She is the face of AT&T Hotel and is the epitome of professionalism and grace.
Lauri and the entire team at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center truly made all of our wedding dreams come true! All of our family and friends are still talking about how great the appetizers, food, drinks, venue and entire wedding night were. None of this would’ve been possible without Lauri going above and beyond to make everything happen and make sure our vision came to life. The quality of the food was amazing, the service was incredible, and the whole experience as bride and groom at the hotel was one we will never forget! On the day of the wedding, Lauri made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything other than enjoying our wedding day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
My husband and I are Texas Exes and the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center couldn't have been more perfect for our wedding. Coming back to campus after years away truly felt like a homecoming for my family and friends.
We originally had the wedding scheduled for April 2021 and moved it to August 2021 due to COVID-19. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful when it came to shifting our wedding to the new date. They went above and beyond to make us feel taken care of.
We were the first couple to get married in the pre-function space outside of the Zlotnik ballroom and then had our reception in the Grand Ballroom. It couldn't have been more perfect. Our guests loved having the entire wedding in one place and it was perfect for our large families full of kids. The food was unlike any hotel food I’ve ever had. It was amazing!
My husband and I walked out to sparklers in front of the tower and took a pedicab at the end of the night to the fountain where our wedding party met us and we all jumped in. We rode back to the hotel in the pedicab and stayed in the rooftop suite overlooking the capitol and tower.
Lauri, Cynthia and the rest of the staff are incredible. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
The concierge service at the hotel was wonderful. It was impossible to find a place to gather after the wedding in July 2021. The AT&T Hotel upgraded us to the presidential suite which had gorgeous views of Austin and an outdoor balcony where we could decompress with our friends. It was a wonderful end to a great night.
We enjoyed every single moment of planning and hosting our wedding at the AT&T Hotel and Conference Center! We decided to check out the venue as it was right across the street from our church where we knew we would have our ceremony, and it exceeded every expectation. Lauri and her team were absolutely phenomenal. She was also available and accessible, and her expertise was so helpful in making decisions. The highlight of this venue was the DELICIOUS food!! From brunch for the bridesmaids getting ready room, lunch for the groomsmen, cocktail hour oers d’ouevres, and of course dinner, everything was phenomenal! So many of our guests are still reaching out to us talking about how amazing the food was. The Grand Ballroom has such a natural beauty and it paired perfectly with our decor, and there were so many additional perks of this venue. Most of our guests were out of town, and they ended up staying at the hotel as well, which was so nice. We frequented the hotel bar, which served as the perfect backdrop for our afterparty! Cannot say enough amazing things about how much we loved this venue and how perfect it was for our wedding! To Lauri and the team, we owe you a million thank yous!!
The Venue was Awesome. The decorator didnt have a problem with space. It was Spacious for our small group. Staff was friendly and helpful and understanding. Patient as well. Highly recommend!
When I first stepped into this venue, I knew it was the one. If you're a fellow Longhorn like me, you'll love this venue for your wedding as well. The ballroom is huge and magical. You and your wedding planner/florist can practically turn this place into anything you dream of. They have a gorgeous outdoor garden area for those who want an outdoor wedding/ceremony. The food is DELICIOUS. I'm still amazed at how they served over 200+ guests perfectly cooked steak and mahi mahi. The service manager for the ballroom that night was great. He made sure my husband and I always had drinks in our hands while we attended to our guests and checked on us throughout the night. The staff kept in touch with us throughout the pre-wedding process, updating us, and responding to our emails very quickly. The hotel suite where we got to crash in at the end of the night has a balcony that gives you the view of the UT tower and the State Capitol. It was the perfect place for a fairy tale wedding!

We had a little miscommunication when it came to the amount of rooms we blocked and how many rooms we had to have filled to avoid paying. I would say this was the only part of my entire wedding planning that had me stressed. Be careful when blocking rooms with the - ask all questions up front and make sure you read that contract over and over again. Despite the confusion, the staff did work with us to extend our deadline (multiple times) for guests to continue to book and receive the discounted rate. The hotel is beautiful and everything ended up being great. I recommend this hotel for room blocks and for the honey moon suite! Very nice!!
Our wedding party stayed here the weekend of our wedding. The hotel is beautiful as well as the rooms. I had 7 bridesmaids and 2 joined rooms was the perfect amount of space for all of us to get ready. The hotel is in a great location for weddings on/near campus and has easily access to downtown. Our reception was at Bob Bullock so the hotel was a quick walk for our guests.
We fell in love with the ballroom the first time we saw it. It is absolutely beautiful and was the perfect location for us. As soon as we met Dana, it was a done deal. Dana and her staff were incredible during the planning as well as the actual event. The food, venue, and service was spectacular- everyone was so great! Thanks for making our day perfect!
I work and UT and am a busy professional. The price for our ceremony, reception, and hotel package was competitive and worth every penny. Kerri Parker, the wedding coordinator is fun, detail-oriented and the consummate professional. I had never stayed at the hotel until the night before my wedding and I must say, the service is outstanding. The food for the reception was spectacular and they flexed our offerings to meet the shrunken guest list after the final head count. My husband is from Spain and we wanted a jamón serrano for the cocktail hour; they got it for us. We wanted somewhere stylish, convenient for elderly travelers in my family, and with great variety. We got it. Look no further that the ATT center at UT Austin.
Let me start by saying the convenience and look of the space was perfect. The weather helped, but the flow from outdoor wedding, to foyer cocktail hr, to ballroom reception was perfect. All of the spaces can look elegant with minimal decorating; I only had 2 arrangements at the ceremony.
The food was delicious according to my guests; I was too excited/nervous to taste anything!
The cost is average for Austin, but not paying an additional fee to rend the space was a plus.
A few complaints: the staff member I began the wedding planning process with was absolutely amazing, but she quit 5 months before my wedding. Her replacement seemed overwhelmed, and had I not had my own coordinator, I'm sure my day would not have gone so smoothly. It could just be that she's new, but there were definitely things we discussed that were not handled properly, namely kids meals. I went to the trouble of giving a number of kids meals and even indicating the exact tables they needed to be delivered to, and it didn't happen. I had people coming up to me during my reception while I was trying to eat asking about the kids meals.
The hotel also messed up on our gift bags and gave 7 of our bags to guests who were not there for our wedding (I realize that's on the hotel's side and their fault, not the conference center.) The person handling our room block changed twice in the year that I was married.
My advice here is to negotiate with people, and get everything in writing. I'm not sure if the high turnover is a fixture at AT&T.
Overall though, the staff was very nice to me the day of the wedding. All of my guests thought it was great and loved the location. If I had it all to do over again, I would definitely choose them as my venue.
My husband and I both agree that we felt like royalty while at the AT&T Executive Conference Center and Hotel. Everyone that worked there was attentive to us and our needs, and Jessica Wiggins, our coordinator, was the absolute best! She met with us and explained everything to us as we started the planning and details for our reception. We had a fairly large reception, and this venue was perfect for it! We also had a smaller room for the ladies to get ready and have lunch before the ceremony! Every detail was organized by Jessica and her intern, and the reception was absolutely perfect. We were so happy with our decision to book the AT&T Center, and would recommend this venue to everyone looking to have their reception in Austin. We also had a lot of family and friends stay at the hotel the night of the wedding, and everyone talked about how nice the hotel was and how friendly the staff was. Thank you, Jessica and everyone that helped us at the AT&T Center, for all you did to make our wedding reception perfect!!! We also LOVED Bosco, who works in the lobby - thank you everyone!!!
The ATT Center is now marketing their venue as 'The Grand Ballroom at 1900 University Ave. so check out the reviews under the new name.
We loved having our wedding at the AT&T Center!! It was perfect on all parts, and the staff was super helpful. We had a blast working with Jessica Wiggins, and everything ran smoothly. It was beautiful and the room was set up as we envisioned it! The food tasted perfect for so many guests. The hotel rooms were perfect and the amenities were great! It was everything we wanted for our reception!
This place was amazing! It was our one-stop-shop wedding venue...ceremony in the courtyard, cocktail hour in the pre-function space, reception in the tastefully Texas ballroom, and hotel for our guests. If I could do it again I would do it here! They handled everything, were super accommodating, and no hidden fees for anything.
I did a lot of online research before I contacted any vendors. We are both Longhorn alum, so we hoped to have our wedding on campus and there are a lot of options to choose from. We are both engineers so we did a lot of comparing services and costs. In the end, no one could match the AT&T conference center. We met with Amanda and were so smitten with her and the venue. Unfortunately she left, but Jessica ended up being a dream to work with! She was always in contact with me and she responded to calls and emails within minutes. She was/is soooo amazing!!! The food - the absolute best! Everyone is still talking about how much they loved the food. There is a huge variety of foods...a lot of options and their chefs are top notch. We had absolutely no problems with reservations. We had 200 guests and most stayed at the hotel and had no problems at all. They have a service online where you can keep track who is booking rooms. We were able to catch all issues well before the day. The front desk was sooo sweet. They met my every need and handed out goodies to all my guests with a smile. There were over 70 bags! The knew who were were and greeted us by name. The presidential suite served as a gorgeous backdrop for pictures and video. I got dressed in there and it was so comfy. I stayed in that room for 3 nights! The videographer and photographer took advantage of the enormous balcony to capture shots of campus and the Capitol. This place is extremely convenient if getting married at St. Austin's or any of the campus churches. By far, best bang for your dollar. One of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Good luck!
I emailed them and it took a while for them to get back to me. I was dissapointed with the high rates. Just ridiculous.
I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the AT&T Hotel and I have mixed reviews. When it came to the service and attention to detail for the wedding, their catering department is simply great and I would give them 5 stars! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Amanda no longer works there and I was pretty nervous working with a new person so soon before our big day, but it was a delight working with Dana, too!
I, also, used their reservations department and they are terrible!!! I would give them 2 stars. The person I was in contact with didn't follow through with things, didn't communicate well and said she took care of things when she hadn't. The front desk had no idea who we were when we gave them our name (the bride & groom) to check in and we were getting married there! Then, later, I realized that the rooms for our pastor and photograher (from houston) I thought I had made reservations for were never made! The manager working at that time accussed me of nevering making the request, but my emails say otherwise! Their reservations department is an embarrassment to the hotel and to the university!
(My ratings are for Dana and the catering department.)
I had over 100 out of town guests so I knew I wanted a hotel for the reception. What I didn't know was how perfect the Conference was. Amanda was a dream to work with and everything went off without a hitch. She was so professional and on top of every detail. The staff at the Conference Center was top notch. The servers had wonderful attention to detail, even providing last minute meals to those with food allergies. I had so many compliments on how nice the rooms were, how accommodating the staff was, and how it was the BEST wedding food anyone has had. I absolutely cannot recommend this venue enough and if I could do it all over again, I would not change a thing! I had the most amazing/perfect wedding and I owe it to them!
I was not one of those girls who had her wedding planned out since she was 3 - actually I never even thought about it until I met my now hubby. We came to the AT&T Center about 4 days after he popped the question and I had no idea what I was looking for - but like the moment I met my husband, I fell in love as soon as I walked in the building. Both of us are UT alumni so the Conference Center's Texas touches really hit home. Then we met Amanda Barrone, one of the on-site coordinators and we were sold. I can easily say that our wedding would not have been the same without her. For the 15 months leading up to the wedding, Amanda was incredible - she was following up with me about how many rooms I needed for guests, when we should do our tasting, and answering any other crazy question I could come up with. When the big day came, everything ran absolutely seamlessly. She coordinated everything perfectly, even when we went off our pre-agreed schedule, our guests never could tell. She is AMAZING and the greatest gift and resource an engaged couple could imagine. All our guests raved about the food and the service - the staff was amazing at set up/tear down and were very helpful when I made a last-minute seating card change :). Our entire experience with AT&T was absolutely incredible and we are so lucky that we chose them to help us celebrate our special day
We had our wedding at the AT&T Center and were so happy. At first glance, we were turned off by the corporate name and feel to the ballroom, but after being assured by our wedding planners that we could dress it up, we gave it a go. DEFINITELY the best deal in Austin for what the AT&T Center will provide. Plus due to us having many out of town guests, it was great to have the hotel to provide us with majorly discounted rooms (which are very lovely). I would reccommend this venue to any bride to be! Oh- and the food is the best wedding food you will ever have.
As a Longhorn, The University of Texas campus has always held a special place in my heart. The AT&T Conference Center took our breath away from the second we walked in. From the front desk staff, who were nothing but smiley, efficient, attentive, and personable to the bottle of champagne & chocolate covered strawberries that awaited us after our reception in our top floor suite (all complementary). A special shout out to our wedding coordinator (Amanda) who was on top of her game through the entire 6 months of planning. This place is unreal. Each moment there was more than pleasant. Every staff member who we were in contact with were hospitable and extremely helpful. Our wait staff were beyond attentive and happy to serve. We even had one wait staff following us around the entire night to ensure that the bride and groom had adequate amounts to eat and drink. The grand ballroom is STUNNING, no need for added decorations or flowers or anything really....this place is gorgeous with or without the extras. Our guests were blown away with how elegant AND warm this venue was. I could go on and on, but you just have to see it for yourself. It's every brides dream to have a beautiful venue at a reasonable price without any worries. The AT&T Conference Center made all of our dreams come true. Many thanks to all the staff for a night we will never forget!!!
