Atelier Igar Bridal

A small boutique wedding shop, but had a large selection crammed into the space. Maggie took care of me, making it an experience for just me and my small crew. We had the place to ourselves and had free reign to look around and grab dresses. Maggie also gave suggestions based on what I was looking for and she was so nice and honest, felt like home but way fancier. As a side note this shop does trunk sales on a lot of different designers. Maggie carries beautiful dresses in her store but she is the diamond. She will not pressure you, she listens to you, she explains her choices, and overall is your cheerleader for this special moment in your life. There is no one better I could recommend to you (and I can be a bit of a picky person so my recommendation is a really good one). I cannot say enough good things about Maggie and her shop. I booked an appointment and reached out to Maggie to see if she had a few specific dresses from designers she carries and she quickly replied! As I kept looking, there was one she didn’t have but I desperately wanted to try on. She was able to work wit the designer to send a loaner that arrived for my appointment (she actually had to go to FedEx and track it down because it kept getting marked as unable to deliver). When we arrived for the appointment, Maggie greeted us and took me around listening to what I was looking for and we picked a few dresses. To be honest, I had a lot of nerves and anxiety, which Maggie instantly picked up on and was so sweet and reassuring. With each dress I tried on, Maggie listened to what I liked, didn’t like or wished it had (even in small comments to my group) and carefully picked more. She carefully honed in on two dresses that I adored but was unable to commit to. Maggie was so sweet and kind and told me “it might just not be the day for you or none of these may be there dress for you and that’s ok. I am happy to help you again anytime”. I left with my group having absolutely nothing but good things to say about Maggie - I adored her! Later that night at dinner, I was looking at pictures and I decided to see email Maggie and see if I could come back the next day. She quickly replied that she could see me in the morning. I went in feeling much less stressed and told Maggie my thoughts on each dress (and showed her something I liked from another spot). She quickly went and picked a dress. I put on this dress and it perfectly combined each detail I loved about everything. I am not sure why she didn’t pick this dress the day before (well likely that I had some different thoughts today) but I am glad she didn’t, my mind today so much clearer and I was ready to “Say Yes to the Dress”. I didn’t even want to retry on any of the others I had thought I was going to this morning. Maggie picked the perfect veil to compliment the dress and I said “Yes” to the dress. When I said “Yes” Maggie was so specific about the dress I ordered and made sure we got all the customizations and the size correct. Her level of detail was perfect and the whole time she was so warm, comforting and genuine. If you are looking for your wedding dress, visit Atelier Igar Bridal, I cannot promise you will find your dress but I promise you will have the best experience.

I cannot share enough good words about the experience I had finding my wedding dress at Atelier Igar Bridal! This was the first place we looked, and the whole experience made it the last. All the women in the store were so attentive to helping me find the look, and made me feel very comfortable in the process. In the end, we did find the dress of my dreams here. Once I said yes to the dress they dimmed the lights for a chance to see the dress in a different light, and even played our first dance song which was so special ! Cannot recommend them enough!

Very professional salon! the bridal stylist listened very closely to what I was wanting and pulled things to what I was looking for. She was very sweet and stood back and let me decide for myself for what I wanted. She was not pushy and was very willing to let me take my time. I was the only bride in the salon, very personal and intimate experience. Would highly recommend this bridal salon to anyone and everyone!

From the beginning of the process of appointment booking with Atelier Igar Bridal, I realized how unprofessional they were. The form to complete my desired wedding dress look was not sent until the morning of my appointment. The day of my appointment I tested positive for COVID so I let them know. Upon telling them, they told me to send in my test results so I sent a picture of my at home test. They then asked to see another test with my name on it, which is unnecessary as I had already sent the required information so they still charged me a $50 cancellation fee for something out of my control. Upon looking at time slots the day of my appointment, there were still many wide open slots for people to book so it was not like my appointment was the only available. I understand it was an inconvenience that I cancelled, but in these unprecedented times this type of thing is bound to happen and they had an extremely poor response and business model.

Maggie was absolutely amazing throughout my entire process. I was the only bride at her salon when looking for a dress which means you get her full attention, and it is worth it! I had to post-pone my wedding twice, but Maggie made sure that my dress would be steamed and pressed before the big day. The attention to detail with the alterations surpassed my expectations. Things I didn't even notice she was able to spot and perfect. She made sure I was 100% comfortable in my dress and I truly was for the whole day. Thank you so much!!

I had bought my Pronovias wedding dress when I lived out of state and then moved during the pandemic. Finding someone to press my dress when I hadn't purchased it at their store was a bit of a struggle, but Maggie stepped up without any push back. Her store is beautiful with a vast selection, and I will certainly recommend the store to any of my engaged friends. Even with a dress in hand, my Mom and I found ourselves wandering the store because of how great the selection was. Maggie was kind, incredibly responsive, and gave good and clear directions on dress transportation and care. She instilled trust early and delivered.

Absolutely loved my time at Igar to find my perfect dress! Maggie was so kind and worked within our budget sooo well! After a long day at other places I wasn’t sure I’d find anything new or different here. After a long and unsuccessful day of visiting other salons in the area, my family and I visited Atelier Igar with fingers crossed it would have the perfect dress for me. We had the absolute best experience of the day at Atelier Igar! They were flexible, affordable, patient, and knowledgable! I was the only bride in the salon, so I had help from both Victoria and Maggie. They were the only consultants of the day that listened to my likes and dislikes and pulled dresses in response. They knew exactly what they had in the salon and could pull it quickly. They were very patient as we kept pulling more and retrying some of the dresses on for comparisons. They had a great selection to choose from, and they were conscientious of pulling dresses within my budget. It was such an overall dream experience at Atelier Igar--exactly what I had hoped my dress shopping experience would be! I literally dreamed of my dress that night, and I am anxiously counting the days until I can try it on again!

Finding a dress during the time of a Pandemic was challenging, but thanks to Maggie and her team I was able to say Yes to the Dress at home. The experience was amazing and I still felt I had the same experience as I would have in the studio. I’m very pleased with how the studio supported me and helped me find my perfect dress. Also pleased with the expedited process as I received my dress a month sooner than anticipated. Overall, excellent service and experience!

I cannot recommend Atelier Igar enough!!! Maggie, the owner, is seriously AMAZING. I had a not-so-great experience at another bridal store, and my time with Maggie could not have been more different. She was so kind, made me feel comfortable, and really knew her stuff. The appointment was 1.5 hours long. My mom, sister, future mother in law, and I were the only ones in the store as Maggie is the sole owner/operator and Atelier is by appointment only. They have an easy online scheduling system on their website, and they carry Pronovias, Maggie Sottero, Kenneth Winston, and Evelyn Bridal. I came in with a list of 20 dresses that I liked. She looked over the list, pulled the ones that she had, and pulled a few more that she thought I may like. The dream dress turned out to be one that she pulled. It is perfect - exactly what I wanted! Throughout trying on, she gave her honest opinions, but not in a negative or critiquing way whatsoever. She was also not pushy in making me feel like I should purchase something. She answered all of my questions about the alterations process, veils that would go well with the dress, etc. I am so happy and relieved that I found Atelier Igar and highly recommend it to everyone!!! I found my dream dress at Atelier Igar Bridal! It was my first time dress shopping, I took my mom, grandma, and MOH with me and would not have thought I would buy my dress the first time I stopped in. Maggie was very helpful with pulling different styles as I was a bit indecisive as to what style I liked. After trying on a few different dresses, I found the one! I chose a Kenneth Winston gown and was in love, it was form fitting, very sparkly, and not too heavy! The dress came in quickly and the customer service was awesome each time I visited the salon. My dress was perfect! I felt like a princess on my wedding day!

Atelier Igar Bridal is a small dress shop with a pretty large selection of wedding dresses. I went there feeling a little disappointed from my first appointment at a different salon where they didn’t seem to understand my vision. Maggie understood my vision right away! Plus, she’s so sweet and really cares about the brides. She also understood what would suit my figure and pulled dresses that looked amazing. I think I only tried on 4 dresses before I found the one. Working with Mirka was also a breeze considering it was anticipated to be difficult with my small stature. Would absolutely recommend this bridal salon!

I absolutely loved my wedding dress from this store and alterations were very simple and affordable. The seamstress has flexible hours and was very efficient with the alterations. They had a great selection of wedding dresses, would definitely recommend checking this store out!

I found my dress with Maggie! She was warm and made the dress finding process simple, comfortable and easy. And i loved my dress! Only down side was I planned to have alterations at the same location, but could not due to the seamstress being out of town. Otherwise, I had a pretty good experience.

Maggie and Igar bridal are AMAZING. She has a large collection of quality dresses. I went in with a budget of $1000-$1500 and Maggie was able to work within this budget comfortably for me (most bridal shops in the area couldn’t). I found a beautiful dress that I absolutely love. Beyond the great selection, I also had an individual appointment. The only people in the store at the time were my party and Maggie. It was so nice to have a private viewing experience without others around. I cannot recommend enough.

Can't say enough good things about this salon! She really took her time with me so I never felt rushed or pressured. Pricing couldn't be beat anywhere, and I called from Chicago to Milwaukee. I didn't mind driving the 35 minutes to get here because the customer service was exceptional. The owner was very personable, making this a fantastic experience! I highly recommend every bride visit here.

So far, working with Maggie has been super easy and worry-free. I actually found my dress at a different store around the same area, initially. However, the employees at the first store were pushy and rude, and were clearly only interested in making me happy if I was guaranteed to buy that day. To make matters worse, they would not allow me to do alterations on weekends, even though I am an out-of-town bride. I fell in love with a dress, but not with the people I was supposed to put so much trust into leading up to my big day! I ended up calling different bridal shops around my area and got a hold of Atelier Igar Bridal. Although they didn't have my dress in store, they said they were happy to take my measurements and have my dress shipped to them. Maggie even offered to extend her hours that same day to let me come in, try on a few other dresses I might be interested, and then ultimately take my measurements for the original dress I fell in love with at the other store. She was never pushy and made a stressful time feel relaxed. She even said weekend alterations would be no problem! Such a big relief for someone who has to drive back and forth between states. My dress came in right on schedule and Maggie was very helpful when I went in and tried it on for the first time, offering suggestions for veils and headpieces. Alterations will begin in the next few months, and I have no doubt Maggie and her team at Atelier Igar Bridal will do a fabulous job.

Maggie was the best!! She took such good care of me and making sure I looked absolutely gorgeous on my wedding day. The dresses they have trump anything i saw anywhere else. I love my dress. And their alterations, were just perfect. My dress fit like it was made just for me. This is place to go for your wedding dress. You will not be disappointed.

I didn't end up getting my dress from Atelier Igar Bridal, but I had a pretty good experience trying on dresses. I am only giving it 3-stars because I had a few issues with my appointment. First off, they did not allow any photos. I have a hard time understanding the reason for this rule because you can just go home and look the dress up online anyway, so what is the harm? It was really hard to remember the dress that I liked. The only reminder I had was a picture of the size 0 model in the dress online, which wasn't at all similar to how it looked on myself. I truly think I may have gotten my dress from here had I been able to take photos of myself in the one that I liked so that I could think about it at home. The consultant that was helping me try on dresses also asked me how much my wedding venue was, which was unprofessional and awkward. And finally, they "do not give opinions" so don't expect the consultants to give you advice on what may look better on your body, etc. All in all, they were kind in the store, but I didn't end up getting my dress here because I felt like there were just too many rules and I was worried about working with the staff for alterations.

The show-stopping, timeless dresses at Atelier Igar Bridal are of high quality. I fell in love with the Pronovias line and was thrilled to find they carried it. I drove an hour both ways for my appointments! My mom and bridesmaids live out of state, so I often did my bridal fitting appointments on my own. Maggie and her team made me feel very comfortable and at home. I ordered my dress with no time to waste and they made me feel confident all the alterations would be done on time and with quality. The end product was stunning and I received many compliments at the wedding. Many said that I looked like a "blonde Kate Middleton." I couldn't have been happier with the dress! It was bittersweet when I picked up my dress before the wedding, because I didn't want my lovely experience with Atelier Igar Bridal to end!

I highly recommend this bridal shop. The dresses are beautiful and very affordable. The ladies working there are very artistic with a great sense of style, very professional, on time, very good at what they do and are sweethearts. I also had my dress altered at the shop and couldn't be happier with the end result.

Maggie was very helpful through out the whole dress picking and planning and trying and styling ordeal for my dreamed gown. I'm very statisfied with their work and enthusiasm for the bride to look her best. she is a great help and hard worker, who met with me even when she was sick. I went to a couple places before landing in here, so I can honestly say its good price and great dress styles. thank you so much for all the efforts Maggie to keep me happy and satisfied, even with my mind changing fiasco lol.

This was the 3rd salon I had visited while searching for my bridal gown. Maggie was so helpful, honest, and flexible (hours) throughout the entire process of selecting my sottero and Midgley Tracey gown. I fell in love with the gown and never looked back. Mirka my seamstress was very patient, kind and also honest about how my dress was going to fit. This team of ladies had to deal with my difficult mother and she’s even given them praise. She was happy with her dress. If you’re shopping for any type of a bridal gowns I would definitely recommend atelier bridal, you’ll love the personalized experience, I promise. Maggie and Mirka were awesome. I wanted purple crystals added to my dress and they came through. Mirka put the crystals on the dress just the way I wanted them. I received many great compliments on my dress and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this place. Maggie was very communicative and very professional. I'd say it was worth my 1 1/2 hour commute.

I love love love everything about this place. Maggie is my new favorite person and Mirka did a phenomenal job altering my dress exactly how I had wanted it. I bought a boatneck style by Pronovias and I had the vision of cutting the neckline into t a V-neck. It turned out PERFECT. I definitely recommend this place. They are wonderful to work with!

Maggie and Mirka were amazing! They were very accommodating and helpful with everything I needed for my wedding dress! I bought my wedding dress in New York but needed a great and trustful place to alter my dress here in Chicago. I bought my veil from her and she was willing to alter my dress for me, although I didn't buy my dress from her. My veil was everything I wanted and more and Mirka was phenomenal with alterations. She is extremely knowledgeable in her work and was easy to trust with every alteration. They were accommodating with our time frame and made my wedding dress one of the easiest parts of the process. On my day, my wedding dress and veil were picture perfect! I will continue to recommend Atelier Igar to future brides!

I could not be happier to have found *the* dress at Atelier Igar Bridal! From the very beginning, Maggie (the owner) instilled a sense of trust where I knew that everything would turn out beautifully with my dress and veil. Even when I knew she was busy with many other brides, she made me feel as though I was her only client and she always remembered every detail of my dress and the day. She worked closely with me to schedule dress fittings that worked with my and Mirka’s (the alteration expert’s) schedule. My dress train was *exceptionally* long and Mirka was a true professional in designing a gorgeous, functional bustle – she was focused, meticulous and patient throughout! She and Maggie took extra time to show my mom and sister how to bustle my dress, and that ‘practice round’ really helped for the big day. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Atelier Igar and I will never forget it – highly recommend this beautiful boutique to any future bride. DO NOT GO HERE >>> Maggie almost ruined my wedding. Let me explain: In brief: Maggie said I'd get my dress in time, but then didn't order for 1.5 days and then said I'd have to pay express shipping and my dress my not come in time. The dress was almost $3000 so it wasn't inexpensive. Maggie said she had a seamstress that lived in the building and estimated that minor alterations would be $150-$200. Instead when my dress arrived, she up charged everything - asking almost $800. In fact, because she ordered the larger size and it had to be taken it, half or more of these could have been avoided. Maggie was condescending and kept referring to my upper arm as "fat hands" during fittings and wanted to give me tips on eating less. How hurtful!! (BTW I'm a size 6-8 in traditional clothes). Maggie sent me 21 text messages asking for FULL PAYMENT even though 2 payments had been made for the dress BEFORE the dress was READY. Maggie refused to give me the dress after payment and CALLED the COPS when I refused to sign her homemade "happy with your service" agreement. The zipper on my dress had been ruined by then and was tough to get up without the dress even being on so I think she knew that'd be an issue. We spent 3.5 hours (no joke) at her shop that night. I have pictures. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!

I recently purchased my wedding dress from Atelier Igar Bridal Collection. Words can't explain what a wonderful experience I had. Maggie was wonderful, she really goes out of her way to make you feel like a true bride. She made picking a wedding dress a memorable and exciting experience, I honestly was sad when I left after my final fitting with my wedding dress because I knew I wouldn't have a reason to return to the salon. I was helped with every decision that came with making my dress perfect.I didn't feel pressured into purchasing things that I was not interested in and I really appreciated Maggie's honest opinion. She really made sure I look perfect on my wedding day. I highly recommend doing your wedding dress alterations here as well, they will make sure your dress is absolutely perfect ( to the point Maggie inspected every stitch on my dress to make sure it's flawless lol ) before you take it home. Nothing but wonderful things to say about this salon.

After visiting several bridal stores I finally found my dream wedding dress at Igar Bridal. I really like the design of the wedding dresses there, they are mostly european designs, very beautiful and unique. Maggie is a wonderful person, very organized and experienced and she provided a great help for me. She was able to work with my budget and time and bridal dream! She gave very good advices when I had hesitation for choosing a matching veil and other accessories. She was available any time I needed her through text message, email and phone. Every time I went to the store for alteration or other matters, Maggie spent a lot of time making sure I am getting everything I need. I feel that her purpose is not selling a dress but to help you find YOUR dress and be happy with it. I needed a special bolero to match my dress for our traditional ceremony and I couldn't find anything in stores or online. The alteration lady, Elizabeth, suggested to make the bolero for me. I I am truly amazed by the result. She did a great job, patiently working on all the details and caring so much about my satisfaction. Discovering Atelier Igar was one of the best things that happened to me in my wedding and I have both Maggie and Elizabeth to thank for it. I definitely recommend this bridal store because it will save you from the stress of spending a lot of money but not being sure about how your wedding dress will turn out at the end.

I love the dress and the design of it, very comfortable. The lovely lace and the fabric, very nice! I am taking a star off in the quality of the dress and the attention to details; this is because I had to fix the embroidered crystals and a few buttons that were loose and falling, so glad I noticed in time. I was away so I could not bring it back to the shop (I am sure they would have fix it for me) so I did it myself the day before my wedding.

Atelier IGAR provide me with great service, beautiful dress and even new friends! Maggie is awesome, she can just sit and talk to you about everything you have in your mind and really try to help. She knows how stressful is the wedding planning and this is the kind of person you want to choose your dress with. The store is absolutely amazing, very clean, organized and also you can walk around and look at dresses without anyone bothering you all time. Then you can try any dress you want. When I picked my dress she was excited as much as I was and I try the dress like million times and she was fine with that and not just fine but happy for me! The price is worth the dress believe me. We had our wedding back in October and the dress was one of the best parts and also very important. Very light material, very comfortable and I didn't feel tired of it even for a second.

I said yes to the dress yesterday and I couldn't be more excited to have bought it from Atelier Igar! Both the women that helped me pick out dresses and try them on were amazing. They were so sweet, helpful and really let me take in each dress once I had it on. I found the dress I've been pinning and dreaming about forever but decided to go to one other boutique just to clear my mind and make sure. As soon as I walked in I knew it wasn't the place for me. The atmosphere, people and experience in general was nothing compared to Igar. We headed back to Igar and officially said YES to the dress. The lady that helped me try on dresses initially was so excited to have us back and even gave us a bottle of champagne to pop. After signing our contract and leaving the deposit she let us hang out and chatted with us. I couldn't feel more comfortable and confident leaving my wedding dress in the hands of Igar. Maggie was amazing and I am so happy that I found Atelier Igar on Theknot website! She was really great to work with and made it such an enjoyable experience for my mom, mother in law and myself! I couldnt recommend a better place to buy your dress from!!! Store was clean and organized (unlike a lot of other places ive seen) and I loved the one on one time i had with Maggie! If you like a great experience, this is the place to go.

First of all, very unique and beautiful wedding gowns. Some of them from Europe that coaught my attention. However the Spanish gowns made my heart skip! i absolutely loved the Pronovias dresses. I tried few of them and they fit very well but the only problem i had was the front desk lady which helped me with bitchy constipation look on her face. She wasent to nice and for all it cost wanted to make a sale. After all i will recommended this store just because the beautiful gowns but not the front desk employee.

My experience at Atelier Igar was great! I chose to go there because I wanted a specific designer's dress and they were premium boutique for the designer. The owner Maggie and her assistant Stephany helped me with picking up the perfect dress. They made it sure I'd feel exclusive and special by booking one bride at a time. I didn't feel like I have to rush choosing my dress. They not only made me happy but also my mother-in-law to be and made of honor had great time laughing and taking photos of me in different dresses. It was like a party verses stressful dress shopping. I enjoyed this store so much and I can't wait to wear my dress! "I said YES to the dress" :-)

If you are looking for a unique and elegant wedding dress this is a place for you! They have a great selection of different styles and the dresses are fairly priced too! They worked with my budget to find a dress I would love. When I was there they also had some sales going on so I had a lot to choose form. Maggie was my consultant, and she wonderful to work with. All of the ladies there are helpful, friendly, and professional. They not only took care of me, but everyone that came with to help me pick the dress. Everyone at Igar Bridal is also VERY patient! I am naturally a very indecisive person. I went to them twice before making my final decision. In-between my visits they were aware that I am looking at dresses at other places. They never made me feel pressured to make a quick purchase or decision, which I really appreciated. All of the staff at Igar Bridal is very experienced and they know what they are doing. They listened to everything I had to say and any concerns I might have had. They also gave me their professional opinion whenever I asked for it. Because of that, it was very easy to collaborate with everyone on any decision-making. Overall, I had a really GREAT experience there! They genuinely care about everyone that comes to them and they will make sure you look beautiful on your big day! I highly recommend Igar Bridal.
